How to Make a Whiskey Sour

The end of summer calls for a lighter bourbon beverage. There's no better refresher than the whiskey sour. This one is a simple classic with lots of room to play. Try it with and without the egg white. Add a red wine float to experience the New York Sour, muddle mint in it to turn it into a Whiskey Smash. This one is a great base cocktail that stands tall on its own but also provides a great canvas to play. Enjoy!

The Whiskey Sour

2 oz Bourbon 1 oz Lemon Juice 1/2 oz Simple Syrup 1 Egg White

Combine all ingredients in a shake, dry shake (no ice), add ice & shake again, strain, serve over ice. Garnish with lemon slice and mint.

The first one I drank was a tad sweet with #vanillasyrup as one of the ingredients but I asked for a little less on the second and it was #perfection.
