good omens s2 song fic inspo???
so uh. i'm a big muse fan, and i think the song ghosts (how can i move on) fits whatever the absolute fuck is currently happening with crowley and azirphale, so i assigned the lyrics and added some annotations. enjoy?
Verse 1: Crowley
Now and then
My mind drifts to a place where I find you (probably the bookshop)
Lost in my head
There are unsolved feelings that haunt me (same)
It's too late to heal
I'll lay them to rest
Chorus: Crowley
How can I move on
When everyone I see still talks about you
How can I move on
When all the best things I have we made together (the peaceful existence on earth they built together!)
Here's to letting go
But I am lost in a void
With your ghost and our memories
Lest we forget
The great reset (the aborted armageddon, the memories of which are seriously preventing him from moving on)
Verse 2: Aziraphale
If I could bring you back (brb whilst i scream)
There are truths and confessions I'd tell you
I'd set things straight (i.e. why the fuck i left you for the Great Bureaucracy)
And I believe that you would love and forgive me (crying)
I know it's too late
I need to let go
Chorus: Aziraphale
How can I move on
When everyone I see still talks about you
How can I move on
When all the best things I have we built together (missing earth are we?)
Here's to letting go
But I am trapped in a void with your ghost and our memories
Lest we forget
The great reset (this so called second coming that he needs to put all his energy to instead, hence needing to push through and move on)
Bridge:
Both: How can I sleep with this coldness beside me
Both: How can I sleep with this coldness inside me
Aziraphale: I know I can't bring back your love (this is self-explanatory)
Chorus: Both
How can I move on
When everyone I see still talks about you
How can I move on
When all the best things I have we made together
Here's to letting go
But I am lost in a void with your ghost and our memories
Lest we forget
The great reset

hihi hello can you please do atsumu + i bet on losing dogs by mitski💕thank you
I don’t normally write angst, but after looking up the reasons behind the lyrics.. read at your own risk. I also kinda got the lyrics out of order for the story but oh well lol

Losing dogs - Atsumu Miya
Warnings: ANGST! Sad ending!
Tumblr media
“I bet on losing dogs..”
It wasn’t any secret that Atsumu Miya was well know as the resident school heartbreaker. You had been indifferent to him at first, but you couldn’t help but long for the boys attention after his initial attempts to swoon you,
“I know they’re losing and I pay for my place..”
Your subconscious knew it wouldn’t end well, in the back of your mind. The voice continued to scream and beg you to flee, but you’d fallen too deep into the trap. You were too late, you had tripped, fallen, and been fully devoured by the thought of Miya Atsumu.
And, even after the countless warnings of your dear friends, Osamu and Suna, you still sought for his attention, his love, to forever be the one he held and whispered those sickly sweet love confessions to,
“Where I’ll be looking in their eyes when they’re down..”
He had told you countless times, how perfect you were, how special you made him feel, and how you were his one, as he held you close. You desperately hoped that your lover would be there for you, just as you were to him. But it was an empty promise you’d given yourself to fill a small portion of your voided heart,
“My baby..”
It happened in your third year of high school. It was no different from any of the other days you’d spent longing for the blonde Miya twin, seeing him tongue deep and handsy, making out with a different fling in the hall each week,
“Tell your baby that I’m your baby..”
But when the lovers had separated, you could almost hear the breaking of your heart, like glass being shattered by a forceful collision. It knocked the wind from your lungs, the worried voices of your friends telling you to save yourself the heartbreak and not get involved, and his sweet words he’d always told you replayed in your head at screeching volumes, it was enough to drown out the voices of your two tall, volleyball playing friends as they ran after you, but your feet continued to move, aching to be anywhere but there,
Miya Atsumu had indeed stolen your heart. But unfortunately, it was your best friend who truly stole his.
“I bet on losing dogs.”

Rating Walls Lyrically
AKA the hardest thing I did this week
Disclaimer - it's physically impossible for me to dislike a Louis song but I do place them differently based on their lyrical genius.
12. Perfect Now - She is a little too corny and no Louis I don't want to be reminded of the fact that I can be perceived as a physical entity. Funnily enough, despite this, it has one of my most favorite lines in the whole album - don't you wanna dance just a little dance, you never stop given half the chance.
11. Too Young - Put together the song makes me emotional as hell because of his voice and the meaning behind it but just in terms of its lyrics, I don't think there's anything particular that does justice to Louis's lyrical capabilities. The song's best lyrical moment is Louis breaking my heart over and over again by reminding me that he was once too young to know he had everything.
10. Don't Let it Break Your Heart - This is this low not because it's bad but just because there are better songs on the album when it comes to lyrics. Also, I wanted him to write a bridge which he didn't. Louis WHY?!?!?! The best lyrical moment of the song is of course Louis being a source of strength by reminding us that we are indeed driving down a road to something better.
9. Always You - She is the undisputed pop queen of the album and I will dance to it everytime it comes along. I go feral over the mention of usage of word Home and whoever is wrapping their legs around Louis is one lucky person. I sometimes don't know how I have survived that knowledge that this is something that happens in Tomlinson household. The lack of a different bridge kills a girl :( and hence the rank.
8. Kill My Mind - At this point, I am already regretting my decision to make this list because KMM deserves so much better but he managed to write better songs than this. BLAME HIM. BLAME HIS MIND. The lack of the bridge once again is :( but this song is the hottest thing on the album. KEPT ME LIVING FROM THE LAST TIME FROM A PRISON OF A PAST LIFE !?! ON A MISSION JUST TO FEEL LIKE WHEN YOU KISSED ME FOR THE LAST TIME!?!? Gonna rob a bank just so I can make out to this lyric. For legal purposes, this is a joke.
7. We Made It - Do I want to shout we made it on tour with Louis till I lose my voice, absolutely yes. Love the nostalgia and the hope and devastation this song brings me. WMI ofcourse has one of the most heartbreaking lines on the album in "oh god what I could've become don't know why they put all of this on us when we were so young" and I have no other reason of putting it this low except that this is not Louis on his best.
6. Habit - As I am typing this, I am crying becuase I love this song so much but I have had to place it on number 6?!?! Tomlinson, when are you paying me for emotional distress!??? No faults, BEST CHORUS ON THE ALBUM. Imagine being that fundamental to someone's life. The way he sings GOD I AM MISSING YOU AND YOUR ADDICTIVE HEART!?!? I have to scream in the void. Brb in a moment.
5. Fearless - If you put me in jail for this I will not stop you because *Taylor Swift voice* in my defence I have none. Oh to hear Louis introspect/diss about the dangers of fame and the power of youth. Also, to the tumblr user who has made the fearless*louis holding a dandelion edit, I owe you many breakdowns. Fun fact: Karl Marx has declared from the afterlife that he wanted Fearless to be the unveiling anthem of the Communist Manifesto and he is incredibly proud of Louis for writing this.
4. Two of Us - No comments except I am very proud of Louis for being brave enough to share this profound, evocative and raw side of his life. Thank you.
3. Defenceless - This ranking is an invitation for bloodbath, I know. But wow, what a lyrical moment on the album. The imagery, the metaphors, the vulnerability. Top notch. Louis maybe sleeping on his problems like he will solve them in his dreams but I didn't sleep peacefully for a week after I heard that he just is too tired to be tough and just wants to be loved. Universe better be taking note or there will be some problems.
2. Only The Brave - I think I can hear the whispered chants of "she's gone insane" for not placing this song as the Valedictorian. I share the sentiment just so we are all aware. This song has given me so much brain damage in the last year that I don't have thoughts left. The only reason it's on second is because Louis admitted that he didn't have a lot of input in the writing process of it.
1. Walls - *ba dum tsh* after much ado and painstaking effort, I present to you my favorite song Louis has written for the album. The title track is Louis's lyrical genius in all its glory and I feel every possible emotion every time I listen to the song. The verses, the pre-chorus, the chorus, the bridge, the outro - ALL IMMACULATE. I love growth and pain when it's presented to me in this delicious form. Here's reason 2828 why walls is incredibly special to me.

my reaction to each song from waterparks new album
Greatest Hits: little weird, but it's the albums intro so I'm not gonna be judgey abt it
Fuzzy: 30 seconds in and already headbanging, so FUN omggggg
Lowkey as Hell: already memorized the lyrics since it's been out for a while lol
Numb: already memorized these ones too lmao
Violet!: I only heard this one once before, it's a little slower than the others but it's a nice change from the intensity of numb, super catchy, and ohhhhhh the lyricsssssssssss fjdhdjfjfn
Snow globe: love this one too, memorized,
Just Kidding: makes me sad, but still catchy aghhh
The Secret Life Of Me: man these lyrics go so hard omfg "think I need a life or maybe nine, cause I'm feeling like I'm running out of time" brb screaming and then the 80s synth chords stopppp you're killing me omfggggg
American Graffiti: classic parx sounding I think, quality head banger, good good
You'd be Paranoid Too: ngl I didn't like this that much when they first released it but it's grown on me
Fruit Roll Ups: damn didn't expect to wanna cry so early in the morning, the synth chords in the background ahhhhhhhh, "I'm a little bitch for you now" is so funny and so cute I can't
LIKE IT: very different from the rest, not the biggest fan yet, but it's catchy and will probably grow on me, also "I'm gonna shave my FUCKING head"
Gladiator: yoooo this rhythm was in some videos they released a while ago, groovy vibes
Magnetic: another headbanger, I can already imagine myself blasting this in the car, gives me some panic! vibes in the middle with the trumpets
Crying Over It All: crying over the end of everything before it happens, romantic and depressing, too relatable, anyways gonna scream into the void now
Ice Bath: very different, kind of intense, love the piano and the beats
See You In The Future: idk why I expected this to be shorter and not a full song, yoooo when it picks up though these vibes sir are good ooooooo, it's different and I love it
Worth the wait? Yes. Am I gonna get hearing damage from blasting it on repeat too loud? Again, yes. Love this band, love the new songs :))))

I’m back and catching up and mentally screaming into the void.
Brb, just typing out a thesis on things I learned once I stepped back from the Kaylor fandom and observed it with a more emotionally detached perspective.
Also reflecting on how I got so deep in it that I took personal offence on my sexuality when Karlie got married to a man and mourned what I felt was a betrayal 🙃
And how I excused things that should not have been excused from people I considered part of my community and me part of theirs (community = Kaylors being the common thread).
Oh and how even when I felt uncomfortable reading certain things, I still felt safer and more welcome than in the larger swift fandom so I stayed and thought I was being too sensitive.
And how it eventually became more important for me/ us to be right in my eyes, because otherwise the people who were harassing us for years were right and from a karma point of view, they didn’t deserve to be right in my eyes - Kaylor had to be real to justify the mental gymnastics we had done and of course to justify the “antis” who called us some horrible names.
How Karlie’s sister (and possibly dad) contributed to baiting Kaylors
And how I grew to hate Taylor’s “Easter Eggs” because it started as hidden messages in lyric booklets and grew into this HUGE THING that now it’s impossible for Taylor to do ANYTHING without it being a possible Easter Egg
That’s what I’m thinking of at the top of my head. I think this might take a while, so ask me anything - anything about Kaylordom and what it was vs what it has become, theories, whatever I don’t care - just be nice - and I’ll take a look when I need a mental break from said thesis.
