My Father's Daughter
Part 9
Summary: You've been at the Wayne Manor for over a month.
Tumblr media
In some weird way you understand Christine.
You understand why she tries so hard to spend time with you while you're in her home. Why she begs for you to get off of your phone and cook with her. You get why she tries to make the other kids be nice to you. Scolds them harshly when they make snide comments underneath their breath about you.
Truly, you do.
You just...genuinely don't give a shit.
You don't care that she feels bad that she abandoned you for a completely other family and you don't care that she feels like she's losing time to create a bond with you.
You did not care.
Really, you didn't.
"Um,kid... you know I love you but I'm really not that kind of doctor" Bruce Banner said awkwardly over facetime.
You sigh. "Yeah I know B. You were just the first one to pick up the phone."
"Ouch." Banner laughed, " you know, you really are your fathers child."
You smile, one of the rare times you actually did nowadays. " How is the old man?"
You haven't been able to call him since he was paranoid whoever wants you would track your phone calls and find out where you are.
"Your father is even more annoying now without you than he ever has been in my entirety of knowing him" Banner deadpans, " He misses you a lot kiddo, we all do."
You smile sadly, missing your family.
It was hard, seeing these people you barely knew, with a mother you barely knew, stuck in a house you barely knew.
And the fact that they feel like a family. They argue and play jokes on each other. They eat with each other every afternoon ( Bat activities at night), Bruce kisses Christine goodbye when he goes to work. It was so domestic in its weird little ways.
But you didn't fit in.
They laughing and the jokes stopped whenever you walked into the room. The conversations were stale.
It was depressing.
It's not like they ignored you, oh no. That would've been preferable.
No half of them trip over their feet to try and include you in whatever they're doing.
Dick will turn blue chatting your ear off about whatever he thinks will get you to open up to him and Christine?
She will bend over backwards, frontwards, and sideways just to get you to acknowledge she gave birth to you. Every night she comes into your room and tries to talk to you about your life. And every question is met with a dull answer
"So any boys that catch your interest here?" " I don't know, I can't leave the premises"
"Were you in any sports? You look like you'd be a cheerleader like your momma!" " I was in mathletes and debate like Pepper"
"You really are beautiful my baby" "Thanks, everyone says I look like my dad"
It really was a struggle to get you to open up. Almost everyone at the manor had a hard time even starting a conversation with you.
Everyone except of course Alfred and surprisingly Jason Todd.
Alfred won you over as soon as you moved in. He vouched for you when you needed time alone and brings you snacks>
Jason is a whole different story.
See, the reason why it's so hard for everyone to talk to you is because they all refuse to acknowledge the elephant in the room. They're treating you like you were some other orphan Annie they decided to adopt and you just have no family waiting and missing you.
Jason doesn't.
In fact, it was him who caught you trying to sneak out of the mansion the first week you were there. Instead of scolding you or telling on you, he took you out.
"A cap and sunglasses? Kid, that's not a disguise."
"What do you mean?"
He took you to a diner he frequents, a tour of the rooftops to avoid people, and to the safe house he took over from Bruce.
"Tell me about your life." He demands, not asks.
You smile and tell him about it. Your life growing up with the Avengers, school and what major you're going for, that brief fling you had with Pietro before you had to move to Gotham.
It was nice. To be with someone that didn't want to change you. He didn't try to force you into forgiveness and let you vent. He even gave some pretty sound advice.
"You know, at some point you are going to forgive her." He says ignoring your indignant stare, " You don't gotta be bestfriends with her or anything, but that anger is going to either slowly consume you or slowly go way. And believe me, you want it to slowly go way."
And he was right in some ways. The longer you're there, the less anger there is and the more hurt replaces it. It festers inside you like some disease. The symptoms slowly leaking out every time one of them calls her mom.
Every night she comes into your room and tries to pry into your life as if she didn't voluntarily leave it, you feel it.
Everytime you see her brush Cassandra's hair out of her eyes, or kiss damian on the forehead. It's the gentle way she smiles whenever she sees Tim hyperfocused on mission reports, and the way she gets so excited whenever Dick or Jason walk through the front door. Hugging them and chiding them for not visiting more.
It hurts you that they truly are a family.
And after a while, it gets hard for you to try and say that you truly didn't give a shit.
Because honestly, you did

Brown Sugar and Honey
Chapter 1: The accidental meeting of a lifetime
Prologue
It was like any other day when you met him. A busy work day at the hospital and after that your shift of 3 busy hours at Arkham. The criminals there were unique but passionate. You didn't treat them any different though. And unknown to you that was refreshing for most them. Being able to see your smiling face and hear sarcastic jokes was a good change of scenery from the dry, condescending doctors, nurses and officers.
You were walking through a dark alley; a short cut to your home. You knew someone has been following you but if they wanted to hurt you they should of done it already. Glancing over your shoulder you saw a male silhouette in the shadow. You didn't recognize them and let out a sigh in unexcitement already knowing what was going to happen before his hand was around your neck.
“What's a pretty little thing like you doing out this late.. Don't you know there's dangerous people like me out at night?” he whispered into your neck as he forced your arms above your head.
“To be frank, I find more intimidation in a Chihuahua than you. And they're basically growling rat dogs.”
“W-what did you just say bitch?”
“Are you deaf as well? I said I find more intimidation in a Chi-”
You didn't get to finish your sentence because of a harsh slap to the cheek causing your head to snap to the side making you see stars.
“Little girls that talk too much get punished..” he growled into your ear. You wanted to protest and say that you're probably only a few years younger than him but the feeling of cold metal was against your neck. You stiffened immediately, trying to think of a way to get out of this.  You wanted to use your powers but at the same time you didn't want to rely on a gift for everything that goes on in your life. “Move and I'll slit your throat.”
“Ahh.. There's knife. Of course there's a knife.” You mumbled under your breath. Cursing your luck, you stayed still as the knife pressed deeper into your neck causing a small amount of blood to pool at the tip of the blade.
The man smirked seeing that you were silent and dragged the knife down slowly cutting your shirt. “Not so tough now are you? Let's see what you look like under these clothes. This is your own fault. If you would just let it happen then I wouldn't need the knife. By the way the names Drew, I wanna hear you scream it while I’m working got it slut?”
By now your shirt was cut half way down exposing your black lace bra that held your brown breast. When he reached out to pin you down however you used it as a chance to stop messing around. Your hand found his wrist and you quickly moved to force it behind his back. You kicked the back of his leg causing him to fall to the ground as you kept a tight hold on him. His arm mad a sickening crack as your forced it up higher with a growl.
“I don't know who you think you are, Drew, but never call me a slut again got it?” But in a blink of an eye you were thrown off and a tall figure in all black stood protectively over you.
“That's enough. Are you ok Miss?” the person said. Looking up you held back a gasp knowing who it was.
“Batman?”
“Miss, are you ok? Did this man hurt you anywhere? I know you had it handled but it doesn't hurt to check.” he asked again not breaking eye contact with the scared man.
“No I'm fine thank you. He only cut my shirt. I’ve met dogs scarier than him to be honest.” You said with a smile as you stood up slowly so you didn't get whiplash.
“Good. Now if you don't mind I’ll be taking him with me to the station.”
“No its ok I forgive him.”
“What?” they both said in shock. Batman finally turning to look at you to check you over.
“Ma’am Are you sure you’re alright? Did you hit your head?” he walked around you checking for any injuries while making sure to keep an eye on the man.
“Yeah I’m fine. Stuff like this happens all the time.” You said with a shrug. Your nonchalant attitude toward almost being raped was shocking and saddening to both men. “I’m just glad my family wasn't around or this guy would end up dead like all the others.”
….
“Wait what?” Drew said finally speaking up.
“If you wanna take him though that’s up to you Batman.” you said with a shrug. With Batman focused on you Drew was able to creep away. Holding his dislocated shoulder he turned the corner and ran away  “Welp he’s gone now anyway, it doesn't matter.”
Bruce turned his head to see that man did in fact get away, and he was ready to pursue him but the hand on his cape brought him to a stop, but he didn't turn around this time. Instead, he kept an eye on the other end of the alley as you let go of him to speak. “Its almost midnight. I think it would best for you to go home instead of running after a low life, Bruce. You have a gala to go to tomorrow after all.”
“You’re ri- Wait.. what did you call me?” Bruce felt his blood run cold as he turned to look at you. Only to see you weren't there. No evidence of your existence left behind at all, only his memory.
 “Shit.”
--
Stretching out your neck, you dropped your bag at the foot of your bed and peeled off your soiled shirt. Teleportation is something you didn't like to do often from long distances but it did help when you needed to get out of awkward situations, like the one you just escaped from. You couldn't believe you let that slip, sure you knew for years now that he was Batman but that was a secret you had not meant to expose. It was hard at first but to be honest you knew that chin and jawline anywhere. It looked like it was sculpted by the gods and could cut diamonds after all, and it was on almost graffitied billboard in the narrows. At first you thought it was just a coincidence but then you saw his equipment and car in action a few times on the way home from work, and after some digging you found the net cost of it all after finding out what type of car it was from your sister.
And first of all a custom built Mercedes-Benz Maybach Exelero is well over 8 million dollars, nobody in Gotham had that type of money expect the .5% and even more digging showed that that much would leave many of them bankrupt leaving behind an even smaller amount of people, and then the only way to find out was just who was willing to give the Bat that much money, Bruce Wayne was the only one to support the Bat. And the cost of everything can't just be given for free, especially not when what someone was doing is illegal. Or when you can’t buy a car like that in cash or wire that much money without the police getting involved. So it didn't leave much room for who else could be doing it.
You kept this to yourself, however. Something like this was pretty serious after all, and even though you didn't support the violence he used, it did keep bad people at bay. A sigh escaped your mouth as you were left in your underwear, taking off your bra, you put on a large shirt that reached past your thighs and peeked out your room. “Ma! I'm home! Are the twins here!?” a scream was heard from kitchen causing you to teleport straight there.  “Ma? Are you-”
You didn't get to finish you sentence due to the tray that hit you in the face. Holding your face as you bent over groaning your mother clutched her chest. “CHild wHat have I TOLD you about that shit!?” she cried out still clutching her chest, feeling like her heart would leap out at any moment. “You see!? That's what you get! I ain't gonna say sorry either!” the rest of her words were mumbled in anger at the surprise of your appearance.
“Oh god.. Mommy! WHY!? Seriously? The Tray!?” you groaned out as you held your sore nose, normally you didn't raise your voice at your mother but right now seemed like a pretty reasonable time.
“I’m not saying sorry. Do you see where we live? And you wan go an’ creep up behind people.” she said simply as she turned her back to face you, placing the tray on the counter as she wiped it down. “Since you here season the chicken. I don't wanna do it.”
Unable to argue with your mother and win, you swallowed down your pride and the pain in your face as you obeyed her, putting on the glove needed to season the meat. While you seasoned the chicken to be put in the oven she started the rice and beans. At least now you had lunch for a good 2 days from the leftovers that you'll have from this.
Silence surround the two of you in the kitchen as you both worked on your own assigned part of dinner. The silence isn't bad per se but given the current circumstances it was awkward. “How was work Y/n?” your mother finally said to break the silence.
“Work at the hospital was fine. Arkham was the same as usual, but I got assigned a new person to my rounds.” you explained softly as you placed the freshly seasoned chicken in the roaster pot and putting on the tray cover you were assaulted with on top.
“A new person?”
“Yeah some new girl that actually used to be a doctor there. I'm not allowed to tell you anything more than that though” you explained, as you placed the pot in the already preheated oven. Said doctor was a woman about your age, she was a few years old though, and after giving the Joker therapy she changed and started working with and for him. She even fell in love with his abusive ways. She was kind though, and you felt so bad for her but you didn't show it. She didn't need pity, nor would she want it.
Time passed by as the kitchen got hotter, one of the many results of cooking in an apartment. The two of you continued to talk as you helped make dinner, conversations never going dry as something new popped into both or your heads. By the time dinner was completely ready, rice beans, and veggies included, the kitchen felt like a sauna and the open window didn't feel like much.  Since the food was done your mother took a plateful of food and went to her room, most likely to watch one of her shows.  Looking at the time it was past midnight, 1 in the morning, and with your jobs, eating dinner this late was a family norm. Your siblings shouldn't be home for another hour, probably to scold you about not waiting for the car to pick you up from Arkham. They cared, that much you knew, but sometimes they cared too much when its not needed. A sigh escaped your lips as you got your own plate and sat alone at the table to eat, a normal occurrence for you.

HIS ANCHOR | BRUCE WAYNE (BEN AFFLECK)
Tumblr media
For the past couple of months you watched silently as your boss became closer with a woman unfamiliar to you. She had first been a date Bruce had returned with one night, but she slowly started becoming a constent guest in the household. Of course you being the live in maid you couldn’t tell Bruce how you really felt about the woman’s presence or how you felt for him.
When you first started your job at the Wayne estate, you had only came in on the weekends, but that was until you found out about Mr. Wayne and his secret hobby. One night you were just about to leave, but you had forgotten your umbrella in the house so you had ran back in to grab it, but instead of finding your umbrella, you found your boss bleeding out onto the carpet. To you, you really did not have a choice, but to help him, so you immediately sprang into action and as a result of your quick thinking you saved his life.
Since than you were switched from just a weekend part time maid to a full time live in maid, that way you could help both Mr. Wayne and Alfred with Mr. Wayne’s special hobby. It had felt good to be in the loop and aiding in ultimately saving the city of Gotham, but you started to slowly fall for Mr. Wayne. You couldn’t understand how though, because after that night he began being very cold towards you. You would think after you saved someone’s life they’d be a little more grateful but no, not Mr. Wayne. He took a complete 360 with you. He would no longer greet you, but only nod your way. If you ever had any ideas for a mission he’d stare at you so intensely it would shut you up within a matter of seconds. You felt as if he didn’t want you there at all and that is what confused you the most when it came down to your feelings. How could you be so interested in a man whole barely paid you no mind and treated in such a way.
However, for you it had been like your mind and heart would completely forget the times he was like this to you and wonder off into a day dream of one being something more to him. They started when you began looking at Mr. Wayne i a different light. You would watch how he’d throw himself into work, especially when it came to saving the city. How he cared for his city and the people in it made you admire him, but what really attracted you to him was his consistency. In whatever he did or said he’s be focused giving a constant like energy, which always required the utmost of his attention and his hard work. No matter how small or large it was for him he would complete it and made sure he did it to his best capacity.
You would find yourself stuck in these day dreams of one day being that woman for Mr. Wayne, whenever you’d catch him stuck in trance trying to figure out how to solve a problem. All in all it was his heart that attracted you to him, but for you the only woman you were for him was a maid. A maid who was currently too busy in her own world of thinking to notice his baring glare.
“Y/N.”
He growled, shaking you out of your trance. If it hadn’t been for your dark skin he would’ve been able to visibly see the heat that were rushing to your cheeks.
“Sorry Mr. Wayne. How may I be of assistance?”
“Could you please pay better attention? Miss. James here has been asking for a glass of water.” “Oh! Of course miss. My apologies to you both.”
You quickly sucrried off to fetch Miss. James glass of water, but on the way into the kitchen you accidentally bumped into Alfred. Saying a quick apology you tried to side step around Alfred, but her caught you by the arm.
“Y/N is everything alright? Master Bruce has expressed some concern.”
You were kind of shocked at that statement, seeing a this was the first time you ben caught up. Usually you were always on your toes as expected and did all you were required to do with grace. So to think of Mr. Wayne going to Alfred to complain kind of offended you, but you kept you cool and only smiled up at Alfred.
“No, nothing’s really wrong Alfred. Probably just sleepless.”
You said trying to convince him more than tell him. He only gave you a look before nodding and heading towards the bat cave. As soon as he wa out of site you went to get Miss. James her glass a water and returned to Mr. Wayne’s office. The only issue was that once you had returned Miss. James was gathering up her things.
“The glass of water is no longer needed Y/N. Miss. James is heading home. Might want to be quicker next time.”
You had to bite down on your tongue and catch yourself because the words that were going to escape from your mouth would be no good for anyone. So you just smiled and apologized to the both of them. After doing that you returned to the kitchen, dumped out the glass, and began to wash it. Once it was washed and dried you put away the glass in it’s rightful place and started your retreat to your room. However, Mr. Wayne had come from his office asking for you. Of course you obliged and followed him into his office. You didn’t know what to expecte upon entering his office, so you stayed silent and just stood in front of his desk as he took a seat.
“Y/N have you been sleeping well?”
He asked as he shuffled through some papers. Confused you nodded, it he didn’t look up so you spoke up.
“Uh, y-yes sir.”
“Are you telling me yes or asking?”
He responded, now looking striaght at you. Now that his eyes were fully on you, making you feel slightly uncomfortable. You were use to his looks, but this look was emitting anger and it was confusing you, because you weren’t sure if it was towards you and if it was towards you, why.
“Telling, sir.”
You said more confidently now.
“You sure about that? Because you haven’t been quite present these days.”
“My apologies sir, that you feel that way.”
Yes, you were obedient, but you weren’t going to take him trying to tell you that you weren’t doing your job over a simply delayed glass of water for his hoe. You didn’t fully know what he was implying, but you knew it was egging you on as you clenched your knuckles behind your back.
“Excuse me?”
He asked, wanting you to elaborate on your answer.
“I said, my apologies sir. Sorry that you feel that way.”
“And what way to I feel Y/N?”
“That I’m not present, as you’ve recently stated.”
Uh-oh. You could see him visibly tense and his jaw clench, but you weren’t taking any kind of bull from him at the moment. Yes, you were secretly in love with the man, but that wasn’t going to excuse his behavior towards you.
“Ok Y/N since that is how I feel-“
“Actually Mr. Wayne we’re done talking about how you feel. Time to talk about how about I feel and I feel that you should know I quit.”
Calmly you took of your apron and gently placed it down on his desk. Taking a deep breath you gave Bruce a small polite smile and quietly took your leave. You didn’t now if you were making a rash decision, but what you did know was that your heart was too confused for more hurt to keep attacking it. So you made the best choice for your sanity and left. Leaving his office you returned to your room, pulling out the old suitcase you first arrived with. Laying the suitcase down onto the bed, opened up, you began to neatly place your belongings into it. However, you didn’t get to place even two shirts into the case before Bruce came barging into your room.
His sudden entrance startled you, causing the garment of clothing to drop from your hands. He paid no mind to the fact that he scared the mess out of you and quickly made his way over to the bed closing the suitcase shut. He had closed it with so much force you thought the poor item was going to break.
“Mr. Wayne are-“
“No! You don’t talk!”
He roared, causing you to take a step back from the now heaving man. Was he okay you thought. You didn’t know quitting would cause such an issue, you thought you were finally relieving him from a “not present” employee.
“How can you think you can just leave?! Like all of this isn’t anything to you!”
“If you think I’m going to tell-“
“I SAID NO TALKING!”
Yeah that shut you up real quick. Especially now that he was no longer pacing and standing right in front you. You could see the fire in his eyes as you slowly back away from him, but he followed your steps up until your back hit a wall and he finally had you caged in. You looked around to avoid his burning glare. You were utterly confused and couldn’t think straight. Bruce was unpredictable at the moment and your emotions were everywhere.
All that could be heard was the heavy breathing between the both you. If you weren’t confused before, but now you were more confused. You didn’t even know how to react and Bruce was no help, he wasn’t saying anything. He was only staring at you, but you couldn’t decipher his emotions. Was he mad at you, if so why?
“Y-you can’t leave.”
He finally spoke up. Now he was looking down and he couldn’t face you.”
“Please don’t leave.
He said after another pause.
“O-okay Mr. Wayne. I think you just need to it down and think about-“
“I’ve already thought about it. You’re an anchor, my anchor and I’m falling in love with you.”
You had to run that back in your head a couple of times in your head, because nothing made sense. You could feel your heart pick up in pace and sweat start to form all over your body. You couldn’t believe it, you thought when this moment came you’d be over the moon, but it felt as if you were about to pass out.
“Okay I think I need to sit down.”

Down The Road
Paring: Bruce Wayne x Black!Oc
Genre: Fluff & (weak) angst
Summary: After the horrific murder of his parents, Martha and Thomas Wayne. Bruce lived the last thirty-seven years of his life away from the propping and bombardment from the media. Finding contentment and serenity with his wife and their beautiful, seven kids.
Word count: 2,908 words
Author’s notes: The kids are lowkey inspired by the batkids
With a heavy sigh, Bruce plopped down on the bed beside his wife, Andrea and scooped her into his arms. He nuzzled his head into her neck and ran his hand up and down her back. The quiet ticks of the Seiko Pendulum clock was the only sound that filled the empty air.
“What do we do now?” Andrea asked hesitantly as her right hand fiddled with the tips of his deep brown.
Bruce opened his mouth but closed it shut when words failed to escape. He drew his brows together and blew out a sigh. “We wait.”
“Until?”
Bruce gulped. He fluttered his eyes shut and clenched his jaw, tightening his hold around Andrea. “...Until everything goes away.”
“Daddy wake up!” Was the first thing Bruce woke up to that very morning. Big, doe brown eyes stared back at him as he slowly opened his eyes, a loud yawn escaping his lips.
Bruce let out a fatigued chuckle and wrapped his arms around Nico. He plastered kisses all over his face, Nico’s melodious giggles filling the empty bedroom.
When Bruce finally pulled away, Nico caught back his breath and jumped off the bed, a loud ‘bump’ sounding. He clutched his Father’s hand and weakly tried to pull him out of bed. “Daddy let’s go! We’re going to be late for school!”
Bruce feigned a gasp of shock and jumped out of bed. He crouched down, scooped Nico into arms and threw the seven-year-old over his shoulder. “School! Is it Monday already? Why didn’t you tell me sooner!”
“Dad I did!” Nico cajoled, throwing his head back.
Bruce rushed out of the bedroom and galloped down the hallway of the manor, imitating croaky neighs. He skipped down the grand staircase and continued to canter his hooves through the hallway into the dining room. Muffled chatter could be heard behind the large, grand doors.
A sweet-scented and delectable aroma slivered out of the dining room down the long hallway and into Bruce’s nostrils.
He pushed open the doors and met with the glaring, amiable wave of the new day.
“Dad!”
Five pairs of eyes stared back at him once again in delight. Bruce curved his lips into a smile and crouched down. He settled Nico on the floor and ruffled his hair before he rushed off to find his seat at the table.
Bruce stood up and made his way towards the lengthy table. He reached down and pecked Andrea on the lips. “Morning.”
He shuffled over to Azure who sat only two steps away from him. He bent down and took her into his arms, playfully munching on her chubby cheeks. “Good morning beautiful!”
Azure, unlike her brothers, was blessed with beautiful deep bronze skin and tender, tight thick curls. A gift she inherited from her beautiful mother. The six-month-old was a chunky baby with deep, earthy brown eyes that glistened like an old copper penny and joyful, toothy smile. “Dada!”
Bruce gently settled her back into her high chair and let her resume her ravishing meal. He made his way down to Zion and pecked his cheek.
Though Zion didn’t have the deep bronze skin like the females in his family, he was still significantly darker than the rest of his brothers and shared a six month age difference with Azure. His rich honeyed skin was trailed with tiny specks of dark markings that travelled across his cheeks. Zion’s brown eyes reflected the light of the sun, fused with both light and dark. His mahogany, wiry hair framed the shape of his face, bouncing at every brash movement he made.
Zion stared up at his Father and giggled, syrup smeared across his cheeks. He dropped his fork and used his tiny hands clasp Bruce’s cheeks. Zion smothered his Father’s lips with a sloppy kiss as syrup stuck on to his face. “Daddy!”
Bruce winced softly and pulled away from Zion’s grasp. “Alright, I think that’s enough kisses for today.”
He ruffled his hair, circled around the table, and made his way towards Sage, Orion and Nico. Sage and Orion sat at each side of their oldest brother, Nico, deeply immersed in their breakfast.
Their hair laid inky and poker straight, yet soft, interchanging with the rays of sunlight seeping in through the windows. Sage’s eyes were the hue of the spring at growth, untamed and bright all at once. Their champagne tone of skin sparkled under the sun.
“Boys.” Bruce pecked each boy on the cheek and grabbed himself a cup of coffee.
He grasped the head of their chairs and hovered above them. Bruce licked his bottom lip and scratched his chin.
“I’ve got a business meeting with my publishers at eight.” Andrea implored. She set her spoon down on the table and stared at Bruce.
“Morning or evening?” He asked, taking a large sip.
“Morning. We need to finalise my book’s release date and check with our illustrator to see if she’s finished creating the cover,” At age thirty-three, Andrea was a renowned author in the States, selling millions of copies and signing hundreds of books. She mainly revolved her material around sci-fi and fantasy, sticking to the undeveloped narratives of black characters. “You okay with taking the boys to school?”
Bruce gave a dismissive wave of his hand and nodded, gradually swallowing his drink. “Yeah, it's fine.”
“You sure?” Andrea gave him a worried look.
“I’m definite.”
“Is everyone strapped in?” Called out Bruce, he strapped his seatbelt in and turned to his boys in their backseats.
Incoherent mumbles of “yes” were heard before Bruce turned around and settled his hands on the steering wheel of his Lincoln Navigator.
“Zion? Azure?”
Zion looked up from his tablet and frowned. “No.” He shook his head and pouted, returning back to his video.
Azure only gurgled, pulling her fist out of her mouth. She kicked her legs and shrieked. “Dada!”
“Alright, let’s go,” Bruce affirmed and pulled off.
The journey to Westcott Academy in the Hamptons only took thirty minutes. Though the ride wasn’t long, the family still managed to find the time to immerse themselves in a conversation on the nature around them.
Orion stared out of the car window, watching the verdant scenery pass by. He jeered his head to his Father and coughed out, “Dad?”
“Yes?” Bruce answered.
“Can we go to the park after school?” Questioned Orion. He fiddled with the bracelet on his wrist and nervously bit his bottom lip.
Bruce’s eyebrows furrowed in thought, he pulled his lips into a hard line and nodded. “Sure, I don’t see why we can’t.”
Orion gleamed, swinging his feet back and forth, and turned his attention back to his window.
Sage closed his eyes as he plopped a strawberry in his mouth, he rested back against the head of his car seat and hummed leisurely.
Peaked with curiosity, Nico leaned over and stared down at Sage’s plastic container. He licked his lips in delight at the sight of the strawberries, his eyes twinkling. He slowly extended his hand and hastily dropped in for a quick grab.
Opening his eyes, Sage instinctively darted down to his chopped fruit. His eyes widened once he saw Nico’s hand reach in and immediately jerked his container back.
Nico jolted up in surprise, his hand returning back to his side. Sage sent him a harsh glare and pouted. He shook his head, cradling his food to his chest. “It’s not yours, it’s mine.”
Nico frowned but forced himself to exert to the cartoon stickers plastered across his backpack. He trailed his fingers across the invisible line aligning the characters together when a strawberry slapped his cheek.
Gasping, Nico turned to Sage. His brother only raised a brow and presented another strawberry in his hand.
Nico leaned down and took a large bite of the strawberry. He sat back up and smiled at his brother, Sage only grumbling in return.
Bruce finally pulled up to the Academy parking lot and put his Lincoln Navigator into a halt right in front of the school entrance. He unclipped his seatbelt, turning to his kids.
“We’re here.” He ran his hand over his face and sighed.
Bruce opened his car door and waltzed to the other door. He pulled it open and out jumped Nico, Orion and Sage. The three looped their arms through the straps of their backpacks, mostly. Though Orion still needed the support of his Father to successfully fulfil the small task.
Nico clasped his brothers' hands and began to scale up the marble stairs towards the entrance, where a teacher stood waiting with a warm smile.
He turned back to Bruce, dropping his grip on Sage’s hand and waved, his brothers following on unison. “Bye!”
Bruce leant against his car and waved back, a large smile carving out on his face. He feebly tried to ignore the perplexed and astounded stares and whispers. He cleared his throat, fiddled with his tie, averting his eyes from side to side. He turned his earthy brown eyes onto his sons and gave a weak smile.
No one could destroy this precious moment, no one.
It had been twenty-seven years since the murder of his parents, Thomas and Martha Wayne. Both of whom were astonishing socialites in the governed circle of old money and new money. Their murder turned the world upside down and all eyes were on the newly orphaned, eight-year-old Bruce. It hit the headlines and his traumatised face was plastered on every cover, for the whole world to see.
Everyone knew it was him— how could they forget his all so handsome face and mischievous eyes. He was the complete splitting image of Thomas. Oh, how the years have passed since they’d last seen him.
Sage galloped over to the playground, throwing his bag to the side. He clambered up the rock wall and clutched the railings by the slide, overlooking the whole playground. “Mom look!”
Andrea turned away from her purse and scanned her eyes across the playground, finally landing on an excited Sage. “I see you baby!”
Sage gave her a toothy grin and rushed off, stomach first, down the slide. Andrea winced at his face colliding against the ground and jerked out, prepared to fly into panic mode.
Sage giggled and rolled over to his side. He slowly climbed back onto his feet and raced off to the rock wall once again.
Looping her purse through her arm, Andrea waltzed towards Bruce, Azure and Zion on the swing set. She placed her purse on the floor, leaned down and cooed at her baby, playfully pinching her chunky cheeks. “Hi mamas! Are you playing on the swing with Daddy and your big brother?”
Azure gurgled, beating her chubby hand against the barrier around her seat and threw her head back, salvia seeping down her chin.
Andrea kept hold of the Azure’s barrier and delicately pushed her back and forth. She jeered her head to Bruce, who gawked down at her. Admiration painted his eyes and plastered a smile on his face.
“What?”
“Nothing.” Bruce shrugged. He grabbed her hand and brought it to his lips, placing a large kiss on her ring finger.
Andrea playfully rolled her eyes and scoffed, snatching her hand back. A smirk curved out on Bruce’s face as curled his fingers through the straps in her jeans. He pulled her back and rubbed his chest against her back.
After returning from a long day of work, the couple scrapped their formal uniform and pulled on some casual clothes before heading off to pick up their kids.
Bruce nuzzled his head in Andrea’s neck and peppered sloppy kisses. Andrea giggled but quickly stopped, feigning a moan of annoyance. She pulled away and sent him a hard glare, swatting his chest. “Stop it, we’re in public.”
Zion turned back, his bottom lip quivering in annoyance. He wailed his legs and crossed his arms. “Daddy swing!”
Bruce nodded. “Alright, alright, alright,” He pecked Zion’s forehead and began to delicately swing him once again.  “We’ll do it your way.”
Against their parents' wishes, Orion and Nico ventured off in search of rocks for the construction of their fort.
“What about this?” Orion called out with a pebble in his hand.
Nico stepped back from his tiny dig out and made his way to Sage. He grabbed his arm, brought his hand closer to his face and examined the pebble cautiously as if it was a diamond.
Nico’s eyebrows furrowed in thought before he shook his head. “No, it’s too small.”
Orion’s face fell flat in defeat. He pulled his hands to his sides and let the pebble plummet to the ground. He scampered off down the yellow brick road and stopped by a lengthy oak tree.
He licked his lips and got on his knees. Orion crawled around the perimeter of the tree and patted his hands around for rocks.
Orion picked at the grass until his fingertips came into touch with a tough substance. He picked it out and brought it to his eyesight, raising it to the sky.
He grinned, showing off his pearly whites and galloped off in search of his elder brother. “Nico! Nico! Look at what I’ve found!”
Immersed in his bubble of excitement, Orion didn’t notice Nico’s astounded face. His mouth sat agape and eyes widened as he scrutinised the swarm of adults with large cameras huddled around him.
“Nico…” Orion stood like a deer in headlights, lost and frightened.
Attention shifted from Nico to Orion as the paparazzi chants and demands grew louder and louder. Orion let out a boisterous shriek, tears threatening to stream down his face.
In an instant, Nico clutched his hand and scampered back to the playground, back to their parents.
“Mom! Dad!” Faltered Nico. His cheeks were flushed and his breathe were uneven.
Andrea turned to her kids entering the playground in a panic. She rushed over,!forced the kids into a tight embrace and cradled the boys to her chest.
Pulling away, she clasped each of their cheeks, concern hanging over her face. “What’s the matter-”
Before Andrea could finish her anxious question,
the herd of paparazzi came stampeding into the playground. They trampled over the sand pit, withered the newly bloomed flowers and dented the roundabout.
“Bruce!” Andrea chanted. The thirty-six-year-old peered up, Azure on his hip, and squinted.
His eyes ran across the playground until it caught his wife’s panicked expression. He furrowed his brows and wandered off to finally see the herd galloping towards his family.
“Sage!” Bruce hastily scooped Zion from the swing set and placed him on the group. He grabbed Andrea’s purse and intertwined his hands with Zion’s. “Sage!”
Sage vastly slivered down the pole and sent his Father a discombobulated look. “We’re going now!”
“What-” Andrea hastily snatched Sage up and brought him to his brothers. She sprinted to the parking lot, Bruce following on behind her, towards his Lincoln Navigator.
“Bruce! Bruce! Bruce!”
“Mr Wayne, are those your children!”
“Bruce! Bruce! Bruce!”
“Bruce! Is it true you’re having an affair with your babysitter, don’t you have a wife at home!”
“Bruce! Bruce! Bruce!”
“Mr Wayne are you still horrified by the murder of your parents!”
Bruce held back his words of fury and instead focused his attention on hiding Azure’s and Zion’s vulnerable faces.
His jaw tightened, his eyes narrowed and nostrils flared. Bruce ushered Zion towards his car and rummaged his hand through his pocket for his keys. He grabbed hold of his keys and unlocked his car.
“Bruce! Bruce! Bruce!”
Andrea boosted her Orion, Sage and Nico into the car and briskly slammed the door. She blew a short breath of relief, thankful she urged the boys to remove their school sweaters before they played in the playground.
She hurried over to Bruce and swaddled Azure in her arms. Andrea climbed into the car once again and tenderly placed Azure in her car seat, strapping her in.
Squatting down, she waddled to Bruce and extended her arms. He placed Zion in her hold and rapidly bounced from side to side, blocking the paparazzi’s view of the kids.
“Bruce is it true you have a case of jungle fever!”
“Mommy?” Babbled Zion. He clasped his hands around Andrea’s cheeks and gazed into her earthy brown orbs.
Andrea conditioned her hands on the straps of Zion’s car seat. She offered Zion a feeble smile and shook her head, occasionally jeering back to Bruce. “Not now baby, not now.”
“Mr Wayne, do you hold power in Wayne Enterprise!”
Climbing out of the car, she crashed the door shut and hurried to her seat at the front. Andrea hung her head and cocooned her arms around her body until she finally entered the safety of the car.
Bruce’s face dulled up, a vein popping out of his neck. He gripped the handle to the car door solidly, his knuckles paling.
He ripped the door open and leapt in, immediately putting the gear stick into the ignition. Bruce ignored the vermillion lares beeping on the control system and pushed his seatbelt back. His main and only concern was to get his family home safely and calmly.
“Bruce! Bruce! Bruce!” Bruce ignored their muffled hoots and stepped on it. He pulled out of the parking lot and zoomed off into the main road, away from the stampede of paparazzi charging and snarling at him.

Since it's mood board asks now how about... Ballerina batmom! She used to dance Ballet before she got injured. She can still dance but not at that level anymore. Colours? Pink and white! I imagine that gets batmom very close with Cass and Dick because of it and Bruce thinks it's sooo sexy. Especially when she gives him private dances that are more sensual than the rest.😏😏 and she bends in exquisite ways for him while extending her toes and wearing tights and looking sexy
~ ballerina!batmom ~
Tumblr media
• bruce knew how much she loved ballet before she got injured and he sympathizes with her over it
• but he’s always encouraging her to keep practicing
• he’ll also insist on getting her, her own room and balance beam so that she can keep practicing
• but bruce isnt the only one encouraging her; cass and dick often tag along
- cass will do stretches with her and zen together so they can get relaxed and in the zone
- and dick is basically her dance partner
• she’ll give him surprise ballet dances whenever she feels like it and will often wear tights or a skirt that just barely inch past her ass so that when she bends over or stretches her legs, he’ll still that view that she intended to give him
- she will also play some soft classical music to match the sensual but sexy tone that she has going on
- and bruce is there trying his hardest not to take her then and there

Brown Sugar and Honey
Prologue-here
chapter 1- here
"black women are made of
brown sugar, cocoa, and warm honey and gold,
the sweetest thing to bless the earth,
with the strength of ten thousand moons
be wary of anyone who tells you otherwise"
--------
Y/n L/n was a lot of things. Both good and bad but mostly good. One thing she wasn't though, was afraid. She grew up in the slums of Gotham, better known as the narrows. She's seen it all and experienced it all. Yet she never let that phase her. She always thought it could be worse. Every bad thing in her life was never a set back, it was a motivation. To help. To heal. To forgive. It came to the point she was well known in the narrows. And it helped a lot to say the least. Criminals and law abiding citizens alike knew and respected her. She was the rose that grew from the concrete. The petal that drifted through the fire. The narrows sunflower on their endless dark day.
Needless to say because of this she had a large family blood related and not blood related, but all loved equally. Her mother loved her with all her heart and her siblings did too. She had 2 siblings, she loved them both dearly and constantly worried about them since they were in a gang, leading it no less. Their business was never brought up at home, however. They went under many different identities making them near impossible to track as they controlled the drugs, booze, and gun, and many other shipments through Gotham. They basically did everything but human and animal trafficking. But either way they had connections in high places and used it to their advantage. They kept their hands relatively clean so they weren't targeted.
With their help you were able to successfully get through school. And become a Doctor at the Gotham city hospital and a volunteer at Arkham. Overall you liked to stay out of the limelight while helping people. So you were well known but not to the point people followed you. And the people that did follow you were the ones protecting you.
You had secrets, who doesn't nowadays? But your secret can build nations on wealth. You see, you had powers. You could control the elements; water, ice, fire, earth, metal, and air. And you were an esper, Your powers were weak compared to your father’s though. Your father was from another universe one that was almost completely destroyed leaving him drifting through the universe, injured and in need of shelter to rest. He was able to make it to this universe however and used his powers secretly to build a life. Your mother was a single mother of a set of twins and your father fell in love. Your siblings were about 5 when you were born and your family was happy even in one of the most horrifying place Gotham city. Your parents protected each other with each breath they took until your father went missing mysteriously, blood everywhere so he was assumed to be dead. No one knew how he died but you. So you used all the information he, your mother, and brothers gathered to better yourself.  And that's why you wanted to help people. Cause that's what your father did. And people loved him.
