Submitted prompt: Don't mess with time

Something who never made sense to me when it comes to Timetagger is how none of the heroes ever bothered trying to find out their Hawk Moth identity, so…

After feeding Fluff, Alix encounters herself being stared by Ladybug. “Something’s up, mini bug?”

“Yes, actualy, who is Hawkmoth?”

Of course, Alix would never reveal something like for the sake of avoiding spoilers, but considering what this timeline Marinette learned, no way would she want to keep fighting the same villain and being subjected to Adrien’s advances.

Nobody wants to know your future self still suffers the same thing your past self did, so as soon as Alix refuses, Marinette takes her watch.

“What are you--!”

“Hawkmoth is Gabriel Agreste.” Fluff said immediately, more concerned with stopping people from suffering than Alix being able to be a super”hero”.

Thus, you have Marinette going to the Agreste manor and using Fluff destroys the whole timeline by snatching both the Butterfly and the Peacook miraculous, while Adrien growls with rage at her breaking into his house, even after she explains she’s here to defeat Hawmoth. Adrien doesn’t care about beating Hawkmoth, all he cares about is being able to harass Marinette without consequences.

Not wanting to end his “freedom”, Adrien tries to persuade Marinette to give it back, let Bunnyx fix things!

Does Marinette listen to him and keep herself trapped in the endless circle of suffering from both his and Hawkmoth’s hands? Or does she snatch his ring as well in order to be fully free?

How is Bunnyx existence is affected by this? Considering Hawkmoth’s gone now, there’s no need for her to receive a miraculous in the future. So, does she goes back just enough to avoid the whole thing?

How does Adrien use this opportunity? Does he tries to fix his “ideal future relationship” with Ladybug? Or does he attack Ladybug and try to snatch the Butterfly and Peacock miraculous for himself?

For a song prompt, I offer the concept of Alix confronting the concept that her future self may not be the sort of person she wants to grow up to be, ‘Miraculous Hero’ or not. 

Given how her future self isn’t using her position to actually help Ladybug or create a better future, but instead to maintain a toxic status quo, letting the struggle against Hawkmoth drag out indefinitely.

Her future self is letting Marinette and so many others suffer… and for what? To ensure she gets to stay the Rabbit?  Is she really so inflexible, so incapable of discovering any other way to handle things?

Is this really the type of person she wants to become?  Is being a hero worth it if she’s not doing anything heroic?  Is this a price worth paying – or is she forcing Ladybug and Paris to pay it for her?

If Bunnyx isn’t willing to risk her own personal security, is Alix able to step up instead? 

Is she willing to make her own sacrifices for the sake of a better future, regardless of what form those might take?

Signs of Ladybug's crush on Chat Noir - Part 4

Okay, before I begin with the episodes, I am going to start off with something I noticed in the intro.

Marinette trips over a black cat.

Not just anything.

It could have been anything, but they chose A BLACK CAT.

And what happens a few seconds later, Adrien helps her out by giving her her bag.

Marinette responds like Marinette would.

Translation: Marinette would/already has fallen for Chat Noir, but is blinded by Adrien.

In a show that relies heavily on its symbolism, this is a good theory.

Up next, the only Marichat moment in Chat Blanc.

I won't say that Adrien keeping the fact that he knew Ladybug's identity was a perfect decision, but he knew that Ladybug would not want both of them knowing who the other one was until she was ready.

Adrien and Marinette dated for a few months, didn't they? So when he was with her when she was Ladybug,he had to be platonic towards Ladybug. And the most important thing. MARINETTE WASN'T UPSET HE KEPT IT A SECRET. She was so happy that the person she loved and the person she trusted with her whole life was the same guy. She wasn't like "waaaa why did you date me only because I was Ladybug" like in the salt fics. She went, "Adrien is Chat?! Hold me, Chaton-" in a matter of seconds. She melted into his arms.

Nothing would ever convince me that Marinette loves Chat Noir more than that.

Ladybug is inching away from Chat Blanc, not from fear, but from WORRY.

Even in her last moments, she's leaning towards him, trying to help him even though he has become the embodiment of destruction.

Even his burn marks are edging towards her, like he was leaning towards her too.

And Gabriel just tried to protect himself.

She doesn't directly go for the attack like she would with any normal Akuma. Her first instinct is to comfort him and let him know that she is there for him.

Ladybug: “You don’t need my miraculous, Chat Noir. You need me to de-evilise you!”

 Chat Blanc: “Save me.”

Ladybug: “My poor kitty. Do you know where the akuma went? Tell me.”

And the first thing she does is grab his bell. Does she know him well or what?

Almost all her attacks against Chat Blanc are defensive and not offensive.

And the most, most important thing. She never called him Chat Blanc. Even when he was monstrous, even when he threw her into the sea, even when he threatened to destroy the universe, she still saw him as Chat Noir.

"You will always be Chat Noir to me."

And he doesn't even do anything to stop her, btw. He even gave her a clue to where his Akuma was.

She's so relieved that she got him back. Softness level: Infinity times 1000

She takes the time to hug him after all he went through and reassure him that she will fix everything.

She gave up on Adrien knowing who she was, she gave up on Adrien knowing how she FELT, she gave up on everything she wanted, all so she could save Chat Noir.

She called him so she could cuddle with him I-

In the episode, 'Ladybug' after she proves to Chat Noir that the Ladybug he almost kissed was a sentimonster, Chat has this to say about the sentimonster.

"But she's much more elaborate than what we've faced before! She's so perfect, there's nothing monstrous about her at all!"

"Sorry, kitty, but you should have known, I'm nowhere near as perfect as her."

Both Ladybug and Chat use the word 'perfect' in two different ways.

Chat uses it to describe the sentimonster as a perfect likeness of the original Ladybug, someone he got easily fooled by.

Ladybug uses it to describe the sentimonster as a perfect, flawless, better version of her.

But literally, all that is different about Sentibug and Ladybug (other than the fact that one is a sentimonster and the other is human) is that Sentibug appeared to be in love with Chat Noir.

So what is Ladybug trying to say? For her to be perfect (in the way she uses it), she would have to be in love with Chat Noir? And that is the one thing that is stopping her from being perfect like Sentibug?

"I'll always love you just the way you are, m'lady."

She takes the time to smile back at him, and to me atleast, she looks a bit relieved here, more than just flattered.

They cute or whatever.

Them falling on top of each other is occurring more frequently, and unlike Season 1, Chat doesn't stop to flirt with her anymore. Boom. Character development.

Boom. Character development.

When Hawkmoth throws away Chat Noir, Ladybug had Mayura in her grasp. All she had to do was grab her miraculous, and everything would have been over.

Chat Noir would have been able to handle himself. Both of them have been thrown from greater heights before, and both of them always survived.

Instead, she chose to throw away what could have been a good opportunity to defeat Hawkmoth and saved Chat instead.

Chat Noir: "You had Mayura right where you wanted her! I could have managed by myself, why did you do that?"

A few minutes earlier,

Sentibug: 'Listen to your heart.'

Ladybug: OH, listen to your brain!'

Why didn't Ladybug take her own advice?

"Because we are Ladybug and Chat Noir. Ladybug by itself doesn't sound half as cool."

When Ladybug fought Chat Blanc, he said this,

"Our love did this to the world, m'lady."

And that. That is what prompted her to say this in Loveater.

" I CAN'T be in love with you Chat Noir, you know that."

There's a pretty huge ass difference between 'not being in love' and 'can't be in love'.

Not being in love with someone is involuntary. It’s something you can’t control.

Ladybug sounds like she's telling herself voluntarily to not be in love with Chat.

That morning, she was so happy he got a girlfriend.

That very AFTERNOON,

"Is this a part of your plan to try and make me jealous?"

"Not calling me m'lady anymore?"

Chat Noir: "Are you jealous of Ryuko, right now?"

Ladybug: "What? No! Of course not!"

Sorry LB, you ain't fooling anyone. Especially since the nicknames come from a romantic place from him.

I would never deny or downplay that Luka was incredibly sweet and comforting to Marinette at the end of Loveater.

Yeah, but that's just it. He relieved Marinette of her guilt and stress, but it didn't go away. Not that it is his or her fault at all. Both of them were victims of circumstances.

When Ladybug admits tearfully to Chat Noir that it was her fault that everything was going wrong, he listens to her, and he doesn't blame her for anything.

You can see it in his face how understandably confused he is that she is doubting herself when he knows how strong and capable she is. More than anyone, in fact.

"Hey, the most important thing right now is to save Master Fu before the sentimonster destroys his shield. And we'll need a focused Ladybug for that. Forget about everything that happened, okay?"

He doesnt dismiss her mistakes, but he doesn't scold her for them either. He tells her that she is more than capable of fixing them. And at that moment, Marinette and Ladybug didn't just need comfort, she needed REASSURANCE.

And Chat Noir was the one who gave it to her.

This one scene healed me, cleared my skin and restored my faith in everything.

The camera pans out and shows that they are truly alone. They are the only heroes left. The fate of Fu and the Miracle box lies on them.

And yet, they're not alone. Because they have each other.

Chat let Ladybug break away from the hug when she felt it was right. He's one of those people who never breaks a hug first because he never knows just how much the other person needs it.

And Ladybug doesn't let go of him until she just...relaxes in his arms.

She's once again terrified of making the same mistakes again, but her face doesn't clear until she looks at him.

Gotta say, I loved how Adrien/Chat stepped and did all the planning BECAUSE he knew how overwhelmed she was feeling.

And once she again becomes overwhelmed, he's still there at her side, whether it is to fight by her or comfort her.

And she willingly leans on him for emotional support, without feeling self conscious about it like with Luka.

Think about it. Miracle Queen changed the entire premise of the show.

A,Chloe is no longer Ladybug and Chat Noir's ally.

B,Hawkmoth and Mayura have Master Fu's translated grimoire.

C,The peacock miraculous is fixed.

D,Master Fu loses his memories.

E,The identity of every hero except Ladybug, Chat Noir and Bunnyx is revealed to Hawkmoth.

F,Marinette becomes the guardian.

G,Adrien and Marinette look for other opportunities in love.

Everything has changed. That is, everything except Ladybug and Chat Noir's dynamic.

"You and me against the world?"

"As always."

They love each other so much. How could you look at them and say that they are toxic?

And was she in that close contact with him that they BOTH got sick at the same time-

I can’t get over how he looks at her. I never will get over how he looks at her.

This picture was posted a few days after Chat Blanc and since the instas roughly follow the canon timeline, it’s lovely to see Ladybug spending more time with him and assuring him that she does care.

In conclusion to this long meta that spawned over 4 long posts - Ladybug deeply loves and cares for Chat Noir more than her own life but is in denial about it romantically. Here’s to hoping she realises it soon!

Because at the end of the day, it’s them against the world. Always.

You know those fanfics where Lila gets some girl to pretend to be Ladybug? Well, here’s my take on that prompt. I’m not gonna include class salt cause it’s not their fault that they got manipulated. Feel free to use it if you want just as long as you credit me.

It starts out very typical for these stories: some new girl who claims to be Lila’s BFF joins the class, both girls hinting that the new girl is Ladybug, most the class believing them except for Marinette, Adrien, Chloe, and a few others.

Then Lila and fake!Ladybug claim that Marinette is working for Hawk Moth and that’s why she’s always disappearing during Akuma attacks. Surprisingly, the class is hesitant to believe that Marinette would work for a villian.

One of Marinette’s allies overhears the accusation and informs Marinette about it. Marinette decides to appear as Ladybug to debink Lila and Fake!Ladybug’s lies. The two liars accuse Ladybug of being an Akuma or a Sentimonster.

Before things can escalate too much, Bunnyx appears to support ‘Minbug’. Bunnyx’s reason for involving herself could be because something horrible could happen if she doesn’t do anything. (Whatever horrible thing happens is up you). Bunnyx states that she knows who Ladybug is because of her powers and this girl isn’t her. To further prove it, she asks fake!Ladybug a question relating to Ladybug and Bunnyx’s first meeting.

Lila and Fake!Ladybug tried counteracting that Bunnyx could be an Akuma, a Sentimonster or hypnotized. In response, Bunnyx has someone (probably Alix) swipes fake!Ladybug’s earrings and gives them to Alya, telling the reporter to put them on. The temp heroes realize that the earrings are fake cause a Kwami didn’t appear (Chloe explains that cause everyone knows that she’s Queen Bee).

Then, Bunnyx takes out the box with the Bee Miraculous (the one from the present cause the future one is currently in use) and gives it to Chloe to demonstrate what happens when someone wields a real Miraculous. Pollen appears, she and Chloe greet each other, the Chloe transforms into QB. Alya then realizes that the fake!earrings are plastic and breaks them.

What happens next is up to you.

Fandoms I write for: Right now it’s mostly focused on Miraculous Ladybug. I have been thinking about writing some Avengers and Disney stories, but strong ideas haven’t hit me yet.

Most popular one-shot: My most popular one-shot is a story called A Leap into Salvation. WARNING: THIS IS A TRIGGER FOR THOUGHTS OF SUICIDE. As of today (3/7/20), it has 2206 hits and 214 kudos. I wrote it when I was at my lowest point, where I felt like my whole world was crumbling at my feet. I needed to just write my feelings out before I could do something I would have regretted. 

Favorite story I wrote: Oh goodness. My favorite one shot was one that hit me one morning and I wrote the story down in about two hours. It’s a identity reveal crack fic about Adrien having an extremely bad day and all before lunch! It’s called Golden Boy’s Cursed Day.

My favorite story? Well, I have two for two different reasons. My first multi-chapter completed fic called 25 Days of Adrien (+6 of Marinette) is post-relationship, pre-reveal tooth rotting fluff based on the tumblr prompts for December. I decided to take the opportunity to give golden boy the fluff he deserves and Marinette being the one to cherish and love him like he should be. Gabriel is an okay dad in some occasions. 

My second story is also a Tumblr prompt for lovesquarefluffweek2020 and it’s another multi-chapter story. Chasing Feelings starts off slow, but by the end of it, you will get a funny adrienette moment that will make you laugh at their prank.

Story I was nervous to post: A Leap into Salvation was the hardest to post. My raw emotion was in that story and finally getting my feelings out scared me. I cried a lot that day.

How do I choose titles:  I come up with a story first. I’ll put a general idea and I’ll change it whenever I feel like it doesn’t match the story any more. There have been times where the title comes before the story, but that’s rare.

Do you outline? Depends? Tumblr prompts, yes. I come up with an idea and just write in a blurb of what I expect to see in that chapter. I’ll only delve into it if it’s something that needs to be written out because there is an important scene or emotion that I just need to convey.  Besides that, most stories just start with a thought and then I just write it all out how I see fit. I just refer to previous chapters for consistency and flow but the scenes just come out where they want to .

Main WIP: A Night to Remember (currently chapter 17 of 22 & posted in Ao3) and The Beauty and the Chat (Chapter 1 of ? & posted in Ao3).

Current WIP: I have a break dance AU called Dancing My Way to Your Heart. It’s a one-shot non-miraculous and about 3/4 of the way done. 

Random On-going WIP: I dabble in this one when I’m angry or agitated. It’s untitled, but it is class salt with Alya and Nino being in between emotions (because I love those two) and Adrien sugar towards Marinette even with Lila’s lies turning everyone against her. I have no idea where this story will be going. I just needed to write the first stage of it. 

I have a story called When I Love You Sparks Confusion (title is still a WIP) and it follows the episode Felix. I have a timeline written, but nothing more than a few ideas.

“Backburner” WIPs: I have another angsty story called The Fall and it will conclude with Hawkmoth’s demise. I have no idea how to start it though.

I have a soulmate au called The Color of Love..Just an idea, I’ll probably write it in a few months.

Plunnies:  I have a part 2 to the 25 Days of Adrien fic with post marriage Adrienette.

I also want to create plot bunnies of Bunnix interfering with Marinette confessing to Adrien in all the episodes. It’s called Bunnyx Interferes.

I want to write another Marichat fic of Chat falling off the roof and Marinette helping him (friends to understanding feelings).

Upcoming project I’m most excited about: It’s untitled at the moment, but I have an idea of a story to talk about the Graham de Vanily rings. It will be an Adrien POV story, but it will mostly revolve around Felix, the rings, the Graham de Vanily family and secrets behind them, and the importance of Hawkmoth (and maybe Lila). It’s a project that’s been sitting on the back burner, but once I finish the two open WIP stories, I will be putting a lot of effort into that.

After Bunnyx confirms there will still be another Hawkmoth and she will still have to fight with her lazy partner even in her adult years, Marinette gets hysterical, begging for Bunnyx to reveal Hawkmoth’s identity so she doesn’t have to go through all that suffering.

Bunnyx laughs and says she won’t tell because No spoilers.

Marinette frustrated and betrayed that Alix won’t help her end this suffering, and decides to not give the Bunny Miracoulous to Alix ever again.

Bunnyx is wiped from the timeliness forever the moment Marinette makes the decision, and Aurore, who came to help Marinette when she saw her sitting on the floor crying, is given the bunny miracoulous, and turns into the hero known as Prediction.

She uses the power immediately, and warns Marinette that Adrien is Chat Noir, and tells her that Hawkmoth is Gabriel Agreste.

Prediction also warns Marinette that after the fight with Hawkmoth that Adrien Agreste will gain the butterfly and peacock miracoulous if she doesn’t erase his memories after taking the ring.

Marinette and Prediction confront Chat Noir, and take the Miraculous away from him, and Marinette wears the ring so Plagg won’t be forced to transform. Now Prediction and Marinette engage in a fight with Hawkmoth, and win easily.

Submitted Prompt: "Chat Blanced Out"

“Chat Blanc” AU wherein the inciting incident is NOT presented as ‘Oh, Marinette chose the wrong tine on Morton’s Fork again’. Instead, the problem lies firmly with Adrien.

It all begins with Chat Noir behaving in his usual fashion during your standard akuma attack.  Refusing to take things seriously, focusing more on flirting than on fighting – or at least, he’s not fighting with the Akuma. No, as usual, he cares more about the “pretty little lady” he’s partnered with, more interested in defeating her by wearing her resistance down, bit by bit.

Naturally, his fooling around gives the Akuma ample time to wreak more destruction and cause more chaos than they would have if they’d been facing two superheroes, rather than one who’s dealing with a quippy and worse-than-useless sidekick at the same time. And Ladybug is quite honestly sick of it.  Once the Akuma’s been dealt with, she confronts Chat Noir once more, calling him out on his carelessness.

Chat Noir’s just as dismissive as always, waving off her complaints and concerns with a pithy comment about how she always carries the day and sets things right, so what’s the problem, Bugaboo~? But she’s not having it, and following a heated exchange, they part ways ,mutually pissed off at each other.

Adrien decides to punish 'his lady’ for her mouthiness by proving just how much she NEEDS him. The next time an akuma attacks, he deliberately delays arriving, taking his sweet time before making any move towards the battlefield.  Casually counting off the minutes, idling about, doing nothing in particular… well. Mostly basking in anticipation of how much she must be struggling without him, and how deeply she must be regretting her mouthiness by now~

Eventually, he deigns it time to transform and make his way over to receive her apology.  But before he makes it there, the battle ends… in her favor.  It was hard-fought and hard-won, but she managed it.

And now she’s even more pissed.

And she’s not the only one. Chat Noir’s complete absence from the battle was noted… and even worse for him, his leisurely approach towards the scene was captured on several witnesses’ cells.  Footage of him casually making his way along, clearly in no real rush to reach the battle, quickly goes viral, on top of making it onto the news. Before they saw  that, people were worried about him--was he hurt? Was he sick? Was something wrong--? And then the real reason for his no-show came along and beat that concern to death. He didn’t show up because he didn’t care. Just like he’s never cared. This isn’t the first time people have seen his true colors, it’s just the most blatant. They can’t ignore it anymore, can’t brush it under the rug. There’s no room left for denial and excuses.

The consequences just keep snowballing from there. Suddenly, Adrien finds himself facing the very real prospect of having the Ring revoked – or, as HE sees it, of being stripped of his precious freedom.  The freedom to be a complete and utter prat using the anonymity of the mask as a shield.

His response is nothing short of Cataclysmic. Even before being Akumatized, he’s lashing out with everything he’s got, refusing to accept any form of punishment for his actions. Becoming Chat Blanc just makes matters worse.

Bunnyx is forced to get involved.  Rather than simply bringing in another Marinette, however, she gets clever about it. Recognizing that desperate times demand desperate measures, and all that.

No, the person she retrieves to set things right is Master Fu.  But not just any Master Fu – she specifically goes back and intercepts the Master Fu who’s currently in the middle of the Syren incident.  The Master Fu who has not yet revealed himself to Adrien Agreste.

She takes that Master Fu and shows him plenty of context.  Lots and lots of ’spoilers’ for a timeline that’s gone increasingly wrong.  But Master Fu is in prime position to help set things back on track… by handling the events that are about to unfold very differently.

Instead of rewarding Adrien’s hissy fit during the Syren battle by revealing himself as the Guardian, Fu gives him a more proper reward for his misbehavior.  His threats to stop being Chat Noir become reality in a way Adrien never intended… and with this, the bad future we’ve been watching unfold ever since Syren is averted.

From here on, a new reality is forged.  How does Adrien losing the Ring alter how things unfold?  How does Marinette react to Master Fu informing her that Chat Noir has been deemed unworthy, and to the revelation that her 'partner’ was none other than Adrien Agreste?  In light of all that he witnessed, does Master Fu change his approach at all?  Does Plagg get to rest while some other kwami come out and find new partners of their own?

How does Hawkmoth react to the change in roster?  Especially if the Black Cat Ring isn’t entrusted to some new bearer?  And how does Adrien deal with having his bluff called and turned against him?

How many tragedies and traumas are averted because Chat Noir is no longer in the picture?  What kind of future will Marinette and her allies create?

Princess Justice - After a robbery 'gone wrong', Marinette finds herself attending her mothers funeral. Just one incident away from breaking the camels back. Shadowmoth suddenly finds himself realising that he can't control every Akuma he sends out.

Hamilton -  College Francais Dupont does Hamilton. Goes a well as you'd expect. Something nice and light hearted after my previous fic.

Clingy -  An ungodly early start has Marinette falling asleep on the bus with her classmates and other students. This leads to an incident that Kagami would deny ever happened. She has a reputation to up hold after all.

Creep -  After winning a competition, Marinette finds herself with an unwanted admirer and her friends enter detective mode to track them down.

Innocent Angels -  Marinette is innocent in many areas, she just didn't realise the meaning of her words until too late.

Fetch -  Ladybug has a plan to get the Miraculous back. Unfortunately, it requires an appendage from Monarch.

Disbelief -  Gabriel hits rock bottom, but instead of going up, he decides to cut out the one this he is certain on. He just didn't expect to be wrong.

My Gift to You -  Marinette's mother's birthday is coming up and Marinette doesn't know what to get her. It's only when she finds a forgotten object, that she has an idea. Also part of the War Circle AU.

Nightmares -  Nightmares aren't uncommon, but when five people who all know each other have too similar nightmares, that can't be a coincidence.

Limp -  Lila discovers that Marinette is an amputee. She also discovers that everyone else already knows and that she's the last one to find out.

Ashes to Ashes -  An Akuma goes after Marinette's parents and only stops after the Bakery is in flames, leaving Marinette without her parents and her identity known.

Upper Decks - 25 years after meeting Tendi aboard the USS Cerritos, Mariner has risen through the ranks, whether she wanted to or not. USS Shran, her fifth command, is scheduled with the Cerritos in order to collect some transferring officers. Set dur the Star Trek Online Klingon War Arc.

Road to Recovery - Almost three years after the war with Delta, Clementine suddenly vanishes while fishing, leaving a void in Louis's life. Six months later, she is returned to them. Broken and afraid, leaving Louis and the other survivors of their group to pick up the pieces.

A Sight to Behold - Marinette unintentionally reveals a secret to the class, and no it's not her identity.

Delay - Dolores starts panicking on her wedding day and Mirabel in elected to prevent Mariano from seeing Dolores's dress, at any cost.
