For some reason I can really imagine Tori having a letterboxd account, though she doesn't tell anyone about it (obviously) and is under the same username as her blog, so no one actually knows who she is on there. She would log every film she watched even if she does it days after she actually watched it, sometimes give reviews (which are probably unhinged in some way or really indepth or extremely concise and to the point), constantly change her ratings of films because she would end up thinking about one she watched in the past and end up realising how it wasn't so great as she initially thought it was (like what she said about Garden State in Solitaire) and her top 5 films would change all the time. She would have had this account for years and because of that she would end up having a fair amount of followers from obscurely named lists and random reviews she's made over the years.

And then one day, Tao goes to log a film he just watched and sees her review though he doesn't know it's Tori and vice versa. They then realise they like a lot of the same films and have a similar opinion about loads of them and sometimes watch films they see the other just logged and maybe Tao starts debates in reviews with Tori. (I know in the 2023 Q&A Alice showed Tao's Letterboxd and his username is his actual name, but in this he doesn't haha)

I've been trying to think about what (if any) thing could bring me back to enjoy QSMP. I think I won't be able to fully grieve until we have a lore reason for why Dapper and Pomme aren't aroud. Especially when/if the other eggs are gonna be back.

I'm so glad to see Shade and Lumi on chats and on Twitter, but I can't get myself to watch QSMP because everything makes me angry at QSMP Studio's management that led to this for now. I think if everything gets arranged, and if we're given a lore reason for Dapper and Pomme's absence, then maybe I could enjoy seeing Bad hanging out in the server again. Like I've seen someone on Twitter say that Bad exchanged his place in heaven with his kids, went back just soo that they could have access. And I like that. Any kind of ending and closure would do for me.

That's it, I just need a feeling of closure.

i think what the 'transmisandry' argument comes down to is essentially that people don't take most forms of transphobia seriously in general. and it appears they do when discussing transmisogyny because a lot of those forms of transphobia are more visible / easy to grasp, while trans men typically have been less visible and so have managed to escape a lot of the worse transphobic vitriol. when people ignore that terfs sexually harass trans men, it's not out of a hatred of trans men specifically, it's because they don't see sexual harassment against trans people as an issue or as a manifestation of transphobia. the same goes for medical gatekeeping, or workplace discrimination. i think this idea does scare people a little and that's why they have to do these mental gymnastics to try and make people care about the issues they face, they're just doing it in a very reductive and misogynistic way.

For some odd reason, I decided to look up and see if they were selling jewelry online for a lot of the Square Enix characters we all know and love (a lot of the girls, namely, but also some of the boys). And I was looking for fan-made ones, and also products done by Square Enix themselves, and I was honestly surprised by all I found.

First of all, Square Enix has actually made a lot of such merchandise themselves (for a pretty penny, of course, but it's still pretty neat). Like, they even made Ashe's necklace from Final Fantasy XII, which I was not expecting, oddly enough. Partly because a large part of me wasn't even sure it was a necklace I was seeing in her design, until today when I saw two artist renditions of her done by Akihiko Yoshida and Ryoma Itō, as opposed to just staring at her 3D model and trying to figure out if the jewel I was seeing was a necklace or part of her shirt.

Though, oddly, neither fans nor Square Enix have made Garnet's necklace... or, at the very least, I couldn't find one on Amazon nor Ebay today.

There also doesn't seem to be Shiki Misaki's pendant (which sadly doesn't surprise me, since TWEWY and Shiki herself aren't that popular), the Nameless Star from Kingdom Hearts yet, or Kairi from Kingdom Hearts... and that one vexes me so, when we have had Sora and Roxas' necklaces sold for years.

...I guess for the heck of it I'll spell out all I did find today.

Aerith's new necklace from the Remake series, fan done.

Squall's necklace fan done and professionally done by Square Enix.

Rinoa's necklace fan done... Though since at least the Griever part of her necklace is Squall's (as he gives it to her in the story), you could buy the professionally done pendant that was done for Squall and just give it to Rinoa and lie and say it was for her if you wanted. LOL. It's the same thing and you would be covering your bases there.

Also, a certain fan made a necklace inspired by Rinoa:

But I think it does prove the bad faith/concern trolling point, as well. Ultimately when you conceed talking points like "explore sam as the falcon" into a broken, toxic discourse machine, you're going to get "yes, and he'll never live up to steve" out the other end.
