volume V thoughts bc once again fusebox has got me intrigued

first of all omg wtf

I usually end up reading a few spoilers before I play bc I'm bored at work but don't wanna play the volume until I get back but I had such a busy day at work I didn't do that and wow ok I gotta avoid spoilers more often I was shook

so excess baggage was okay. like yeah makes sense we want the couples to be tense again before voting the couple superlatives thing, but also such a throwaway. (and also I talked about this in my post about last volume, but we have so many challenges in a row!! why)

since my MC did initially flirt with Oakley a lot more than Jin, I do think it's funny Oakley talks about how cool MC's secret is (like it's annoying fs but also something I've seen happen on love island to create small drama but then ultimately it's just talk so it's nice to have that happen here).

Also i was worried Oakley was gonna turn on us or flirt with us and abandon Emel, so I'm very glad he was just asking for advice. (I'm a big Oakley and Emel fan, what can I say?) I'd be okay if that led into a different storyline where you could pursue Oakley later, but with how fusebox has been making the seasons lately, once you pick you've made your choice and I do miss in for example s2 where even if you don't pick Lurik when they first become available you have a chance the next recoupling and it feels like it changes your route.

Jack is still mad at MC??

Couples game was fun. I wish fusebox formatted it so you discuss with your partner and then make a choice before everyone revealed their answers instead of people talking and explaining before the player picks their answer. Like we know the characters already, just let me pick and we can see who agrees.

I of course could never bear to see Oakley and Emel go, but I surprisingly actually missed Sophie and Jack as soon as they left but like in a me missing Allegra and Miles/Jasper when they left. Like yeah they were irritating but they brought drama and I understand where Allegra/Sophie is coming from (and I support women's wrongs lol)

Jin going through his main character of S6 arc??? No but fr I can't imagine why the public would vote him out so he's either hiding something that's gonna come out when he gets back or he was voted most popular and is gonna come back soon. I hope it's not casa because (1) that already happened in s6 and (2) I want the chance to flirt around with new characters in casa lol. I've seen a few theories around and I have no idea which is true but if I could throw in another idea which is post casa, MC is finally with a bombshell, Claudia/Theo, or a casa boy and things seem good but Jin and Luna show up together as returning islanders and MC has to choose between Jin and her current LI.

It's so interesting for drama, like ik I'm here for it. But a lot of people like loyal routes so I hope yall are doing okay

I was like half hoping we could walk out with him even though of course fusebox isn't giving us that option but like I wish he said something like hey you just got here, enjoy your time at the Villa and I'll wait out there for you no matter what happens. just to explain why MC wouldn't leave. that being said, their goodbye was so sweet.

One thing that's different in the game than the show is the number of islanders present at once, which makes sense its hard to keep track of all of them (though they've done it before in s2), and it just is weird bc now the people in the Villa are MC (single), Claudia and Theo (who don't like each other), and Emel and Oakley (only one couple).

despite my complaint about the challenge thing this is great pacing/timing for a new islander. it's just a shame the screwed over Tyler coming in so soon after MC. I can't remember if I already wrote this in my last post but I almost wish he came in with MC and got a better chance.

saw the smosh ask game but I think I would rather ask. uh. what is the appeal of smosh to you? what makes it special?

oh heck that's a real good question! Long answer ahead.

for me... I started watching Smosh about 11 years ago (possibly 12? for some reason I thought it was like 9 or 10 but it was longer than that), in middle school. A friend of mine was having a sleepover, and one of the other girls was like "oh this is really funny, you gotta watch this YouTube video" ... and I cannot for the life of me remember what video it was. It might have been "Firetruck", or one of the "If [Blank] Were Real" videos. But I thought it was absolutely the funniest thing ever, and we watched several Smosh videos (including Charlie the Drunk Guinea Pig), as well as a couple of other YouTubers who I first got introduced to at that sleepover... like Joey Graceffa, Daniel Howell, Phil Lester, Connor Franta, Troye Sivan, and Tyler Oakley (all of whom I still follow). I went home and, for the very first time, made myself my own YouTube account so I could subscribe to them.

Now, in sixth grade - before all of this - I had my very first major depressive episode. So by the time I started watching these YouTubers, I had already had several depressive episodes. I also had my first major (singular, not ongoing/complex) traumatic event that I could vividly understand in eighth grade. So I was having a real rough time.

I watched a lot of YouTube videos on my own just to distract myself from my own brain and from everything else going on, starting in seventh grade when I had saved up for my very own iPod touch. I watched a lot of stand-up comedy - most of which was not actually appropriate for a 13-year-old - but I also watched a shitton of YouTubers like Smosh, particularly stuff on the second channel, back when it was just "IanH" and a bunch of "Ian is Bored" or "Lunchtime with Smosh" videos (I was replied to on Twitter a couple times during this period and I absolutely lost my mind lol).

Once I hit high school, most of my friends were not into Smosh - they were more into Dan and Phil, Tyler, Joey, etc - but I was still real into them... in high school, I sent them fan art and a letter, and Sohinki opened it ON CAMERA in one of his Mailtime with Sohinki videos (#2, around the 11:40 mark, I was at school when I saw it and literally screeched in the English hallway and started crying, my friends were like "WTF??"). I never got a response to the questions in my letter but I ain't even mad.

So now that I have established how long and how deep my love for Smosh runs... it's time to establish the current vibe.

I never really stopped watching Smosh. I never unsubscribed or stopped following them or anything like that. But Anthony left the same month I graduated high school, and I had already been kinda rizzed by my "friends" (at the time) for still liking Smosh, because they viewed Smosh as being something that kids were into or something like that. So I had kinda been falling out of watching them very much. And it genuinely made me feel sad and left out that I stopped doing something that brought me so much joy, but I kinda just wanted to fit in I suppose. But when Anthony left, I cried. I didn't know what to do. I felt like I had been already losing something that made me happy, and then it was breaking apart and becoming something I didn't remember it being. I don't feel that way about that era anymore, but I remember thinking that at the time.

I got back into Smosh for the most part shortly before Defy shutdown, and then I vividly remember being excited about the tour video of the new office and excited about Rhett and Link buying Smosh. I was part of a Smosh fan Discord group (the SmoshCord, as it is dubbed), and I wrote fanfiction in 2019 (that's still up on my AO3), and I was very into it again. And I felt happy about it.

And then I found out that my now-ex partner liked Smosh, and we watched videos together sometimes, but they are really pessimistic and nitpicky and stuff much of the time, and they don't like certain cast members, and blah blah blah... so sometimes it was really hard to watch the videos with them, and some videos they just refused to watch... they would even criticize the old videos, when I would go back and watch old Game Bang videos or something. I got anxious about it, and I was kinda pulling back for a while, and I left the SmoshCord. I said it was because Discord chats were really overwhelming me for a while and I got anxious, and while that's partly true, it was partially because watching Smosh was making me feel guilty and anxious. I can be a very vulnerable and impressionable person sometimes, and my ex's opinions on certain things were starting to wear me out and weigh me down, but I didn't know how to get them to stop, and I didn't want to talk to people in the SmoshCord about it because I didn't know how to do that either. So I just left. And I didn't watch a lot of Smosh. Or Daniel Howell and Phil Lester. Or really any of the ones that used to bring me joy.

A little while ago, I started getting back into them again. I started by just rewatching old videos by myself again, and then I sometimes watched new videos, but often about a week after they came out. And this became true for many of the YouTubers I used to enjoy, but particularly for Smosh. I kinda missed the start of Angela and Amanda and Arasha and Chase and the other new folks, for the most part, and even Jackie and Tommy, and didn't really know who they were for a while (they did all grow on me rather quickly!)... and then I remember vividly watching that one Arasha deception video a little while ago and it was absolutely one of the funniest new videos I'd ever seen, and that's when I realized I still really loved Smosh, and it still meant a lot to me. Sure, there can definitely be some missed jokes or even entire videos that miss the mark. And I won't ever pretend to be a superfan or anything, and some of the videos or even entire series are not really my cup of tea (potentially unpopular opinion but I don't particularly like Let's Do This lol), but I am really getting back into it, and I am so psyched for all of this to become as important to me now as it used to be, but in a different way. My partner and I split near the end of May, which marked a new chapter for me, and the return of Anthony coming in June meant a new chapter for Smosh too.

...sorry for the rambly answer. Probably way longer than what you intended to get. TL;DR it's a nostalgia thing that has evolved into a genuine, more mature (not mature as in stuck-up and stuffy, obviously) enjoyment of a fun thing that has been fun for a long time in different stages of my life.

Do you remember when you first discovered dnp? Do you remember your first video? Because I vividly remember mine. It was the summer holidays (December/January cause southern hemisphere) and a girl I had a crush on in my class had spoken about these two youtubers she watched a couple weeks prior. It was like January 25th 2016, around 10pm and I had stolen my mums Ipad to watch youtube and I remembered the names she told me. I googled 'Dan and Phil' and I had for some reason been under the impression they were minecraft youtubers. It took me sbout 2 weeks to realise they weren't. I was a slow 12 year old. Anyway, the first video that popped up was "Welcome to Phildonald's" and somewhere deep in my little 12 year old brain I recognized people I could relate to. People like me. Here on the internet I was safe. And I quickly became very obsessed and now 6 years later here I still am. My obsession has since subsided and they have just become a deep comfort in my life. Regardless of what changes around me, they are always there, a constant. They are also what introduced me into fandom in general. Specifically dans fandoms video lol. I remember watching that and going onto Pinterest (because I wasnt allowed social media but I was allowed Pinterest) and just searching 'Tumblr'. It would take me 3 more years before I actually made a tumblr account. I have been stuck here ever since.

Here’s my phannie story. I was one of those who just watched Dan for a solid six months (because I was “straight” but just liked “feminine men”). I found Dan through his strange porn collab with Tyler Oakley. This was late 2014-ish. But I vividly remember my first dnp video was the blindfolded makeup challenge. I knew of the concept of dan and phil because I was in the troyler fandom and read a lot of wattpad troyler fics and dnp were often a side couple in it. But I watched the blindfolded makeup challenge and I’ve been hooked since. Remember when we were all 12 and for some reasons joined an instagram lgbt account called something like lgbtwhales? I was on one of those and that’s the first time I remember spamming about them because it was Thanksgiving 2015 and my family was watching football and I was so bored. The rest is history

I remember he had a little friendship with Phil cause they looked like brothers. And Deefizzy! I feel like no one remembers Deefizzy. I remember he would reply to me on Younow.

Oh random side note. I had to go to insta to look at the pictures again and I got distracted a lot and I somehow found the guy I was seeing who looks like Doyoung's insta it was just like there I don't even have his number so I don't know how it was even there. I didn't follow him but I looked around and he's so cute and nerdy and slightly pathetic and precious. I wrote needy instead nerdy that works to cause he once messaged me "do you miss me mommy" before calling me on Snapchat and now I remember why I ghosted him. Nevermind. I snapped out of it. I might snap back but only if he calls me. Hearing his voice is the only thing that has and can break me.

Here is my recap of the All Things Glee (w/ Korey Kuhl and Tyler Oakley) episode of the podcast.

Kevin jokingly called Korey and Tyler stalkers.

Apparently 6pm is the middle of the night for Jenna.

Kevin called Korey and Tyler, evergreen thinks.

Tyler took a nap before recording this episode.

Korey asked Tyler if he felt like a hot dog in a bun because Tyler took a nap with his dogs.

Tyler asked them if a hot dog is a sandwich. There is actually a podcast called that and they answer that question.

Jenna said it’s not a sandwich and Tyler said it is a sandwich.

Kevin just watched a tiktok from a Harvard debate about affirmative action so he is in a debating mood.

Tyler said their For You pages couldn’t be more different.

Korey and Tyler have done over 400 episodes of their podcast.

Korey said recording the podcast is the highlight of his week.

Tyler said the podcast is the perfect reason to be up to date with each other now that they live in different cities.

Tyler and Korey went to Michigan State. They became friends there and talked about Big Brother and Julie Chen.

Korey was already gone when Tyler started watching Glee. Tyler was a sophomore and an RA. He knew he could get people to come watch it. It was a work event for him. He was a good RA and got the job done.

Korey watched it with his boyfriend at the time. He was a big Greek and watched all the episode.

When Korey was an RA he let them watch X3. Tyler remembers candle gate when Korey was an RA. Some kid fell asleep studying and his knock off candle exploded. You aren’t allowed to have real candles in dorms in college. Korey almost got fired because he didn’t call the fire department. He said the room was fine and they didn’t need outside help. He didn’t want to waste resources.

Kevin asked how the Glee nights would work because he didn’t go to college because he was playing a high school student forever. Tyler explained how his dormitory was set up. He said he would go down the halls shouting Glee in his room. He didn’t think a single guy came to the event. It was all girls. He says he thinks they were coming off A Double Shot of Love with Tila Tequila so Tyler’s watch parties were legendary.

Jenna asked Tyler was watching with Darren was on. (Umm..he had/has the biggest crush on Darren)

Jenna didn’t realize Michigan University and Michigan State were different schools. That’s fair though.

They talk about people from Michigan and Texas. Tyler and Korey from Michigan and Kevin is from Texas.

Jenna asked if either of them were in show choir. No they weren’t. Tyler was in a choir in his hometown.

Jenna told them that competitive show choirs are not really a thing. Their are show choirs like the Whiffenpoofs but that is a different thing.

Jenna went to a performing arts high school. They did 10 shows a year. It was very competitive. They had a select choir. It’s as after school. Tyler said he was in drama club. Matt Morrison also went to a performance arts high school as well. Korey said his school was poor. They didn’t have a choir but they did have a band. He wasn’t in the band. They did school plays but they had to double or triple on roles because they didn’t’ have enough people to fill out the cast. He was also Homecoming King. He went to a very small school with like 46 kids in his graduation class. (I feel him. My graduating class was maybe 70 people.)

Jenna asked the personal affect Glee had on Tyler. He said it changed his life, the entire trajectory, he is who he is because of Glee. Jenna said that was the answer she was looking for and Kevin said he was just a shell of a person before he watched Glee. Korey said Tyler is still rewatching it. Every time he finishes he just starts it all over again. Tyler said in sincerity he loved it unironically, he knew how important it would have been to someone that was closeted in high school or middle school. He knew not all queer people had it as easy as him growing up. To see something like Glee exist prime time, the biggest show period, and have leads that were queer and leads celebrating all types of differences was huge .He knows its fun to observe glee and the ridiculousness of it all. He said if your weren’t there you didn’t know how big glee was in the moment and how powerful it was. They were having real conversations about queer identities on the main stage. It changed culture. iconic. Iconic without any exaggeration.

Tyler saw the movie. Jenna said you were the person that wen t and saw the movie. (I dragged my mom to the movie so maybe three of us saw the movie)

Tyler wants any listener that didn’t experience in the moment you don’t even realize how huge it was, it was a cultural phenomenon.

Tyler was coming up on YouTube/social media around the same time as Glee. Kevin said his nieces and nephews were exposed to more queer people because of people like Tyler that weren’t afraid to be themselves on social media. He said knowing they had good people like Tyler to watch they were in good hands. It was a group effort. Glee ended up being a queer positive experience and was a very pop culture referenced show. A part of that zeitgeist was YouTube.

Tyler said he thinks of Trevor Live that was held in December. Trevor Project was important to Tyler. He got to be a correspondent for Trevor Live and was giddy when he found out who would be walking the carpet. He felt safe and supported every time someone from Glee came on to the carpet. He said they made it fun and brought their shine to a cause that is important. Every cast member of Glee was always at Trevor Live. Glee always showed out for queer people. It always stuck with Tyler that there are celebrities that will show up at a red carpet to promote something and celebs that will show up when they want to support a cause.

Kevin said he was excited to meet Tyler and talk to him on the carpet. He was worried he would out himself. He was wearing a kilt the first time he met Tyler. He said they were having a gay old time on the carpet.

Kevin said it has happened a lot over the years that they have made friends only to find out they had Glee watch parties. Jenna said they always assume people haven’t seen Glee. They come across that a lot.

Kevin asked Korey what happened with the boyfriend he originally watched glee with and Korey said they broke up before Glee was over. He said he had his mom to sort of watch with. They would watch separately and talk about it after. She would text him every week it was on. She loves Kurt and Blaine. He said this was around the time he had come out to his parents. He said it was impactful to him that she celebrated Kurt and Blaine on the show.

Kevin said he would sneakily watch shows with gay characters, usually British shows. He said he remembers downloading Skins in six parts on YouTube and hiding from his parents to watch it. Then thinking about what Tyler and Korey referenced about being young and having a show on network television that people were going to see whether they meant to or not because it was on one of the five major networks and being able to access that part of dialogue or themselves and watching with their parents or having their parents see something in a positive light that they might not otherwise be exposed to. The cast didn’t necessarily get to experience its in that way at all because they were doing it. When you are doin the thing you don’t really have a frame of reference for how impacting other people. Kevin’s favorite part of hearing stories is that connection between kids and their parents. Being able to talk about it and be sort of an ice breaker. Sure we are talking about Kurt and Blaine but we are talking about us in real life.

Jenna brought up that Tyler did a glee ranking. She wants to know what is this tier maker thing, what provoked him to do it, did he watch any of these numbers over again? These days Tyler is a Twitch streamer. One of the things he will do live is ranking things. (These tier lists are really popular on game channels right now) They talked about their favorite fast food fries. Anyways, Tyler had seen people ranking glee things in the past. He got the idea to rank all the Glee songs but then he realized there are like 700 songs. He found a ranking list that had 180 songs and it was the most compressive one he could find. It was a three stream event and took him like 15 hours. They listened to every single song. They discusses songs. Everyone would scream context is important and they would have to watch the videos. He heard left right and center that he was wrong about everything. Kevin said the people on twitter were terrible to Tyler. Tyler learned people had a foggy memory of what was iconic and what they wanted to be iconic. Just because you want something to be iconic doesn’t make it iconic. Just because you want something to impact pop culture forever doesn’t mean it did. They said it should have sung it on a competition and Kevin said it was just alright. Tyler said he was stoned for most of the ranking. Kevin asked Korey if he ahd seen the ranking. Korey said he saw the tweet asking for your favs. He said he had a problem with a lot ofTylers ranking but that’s just part of their friendship. They understand they are different. Kevin replied to Tyler’s tweet and got shit for it. Tyler said it shocked him that people genuinely thought he was wrong for his choices and it worries him. Korey said that is twitter in a nutshell. Kevin said that is Glee in a nutshell. Tyler asked if anything that he said was iconic that wasn’t iconic. Tyler said Don’t Stop changed pop culture forever. Kevin said he didn’t know if Beautiful needed to be a the top of the list. It’s a nice cover but it’s not like the rest on the list. Jenna doesn’t think Hate On Me is top top. Tyler said he has some taste. Also the majority of songs are not in this tier list. There was a warblers song that was omitted and people were pissed. Jenna said maybe Raise Your Glass. Kevin said isn’t it weird the show came out 13 years ago and people are still heated about it.

Tyler asked when is the gleeboot. Korey said he would watch the premiere and Tyler said he absolutely would watch it. Jenna said what would you want from a gleeboot. They said fun. Jenna asked would you want to see the old cast. Someone said what would you be a parents, teachers. Tyler said new class. Korey said one of you can be the teacher. Only one of you, I only have one picture in my hands. Korey did a America’s Next Top Model bit. Tyler said a full new cast and a new cast. Kevin said he pitched that idea to Ryan when they last talked to him. Kevin and Jenna said he’s thinking about it.

Jenna said what themed episode would they want to see like Madonna or Gaga would they want to see right now? Tyler said now that glee is officially over and we are in the dark ages of music not getting covered on tv. There are songs that would have been covered on glee that escaped glee’s wrath. Tyler said Billie Eilish would be big. Ryan said Taylor Swift. Lizzo would probably have been on the show. Kevin said he would watch the premiere with Korey. Jenna said she would have a viewing party. Tyler asked them would they go back if they were asked. Jenna said it depends not he context. Tyler said they need a cameo from everyone .Kevin said he can’t come back because he would never be allowed to even audition for that role today. Tyler and Korey said he could comeback but like on zoom for the waist up.

Tyler said what would glee have done with Covid. Jenna said it makes her think of the lights out episode where the school loses power.

Jenna said they have all Korey and Tylers notes and will pass them to Ryan.

Tyler said he hoped no one ever took offense to his rankings of anything.

Tyler said every comment on the video he did with Kevin and Jenna on his YouTube channel was like wow they really blacked it out.

Kevin said just because he can’t remember a storyline or critique doesn’t mean he doesn’t like the show. He equated it to remembering a test you took in 9th grade. It all melds together and it’s hard to pull out memories of individual moments.

Kevin said leave Tyler alone. His opinions might be flawed but he is a good person.

vol vi thoughts bc fusebox keeps bringing me back

although we're in casa so ya know.... story is bound to get bad soon after casa

first of all, Hari. im so disappointed with his sprite because I'd so go for him for looks alone otherwise (his hair is nice and hes indian and hes got the rohan sort of physique albeit more muscle-y). but somethings up with his face and his eyes are a little red and his torso is doing the thing Vicki does, so he just feels like a leftover from S7 (and what a shame bc Tyler is drawn so well but barely gets time to impress us in the villa!)

OK anyway personality wise though hes giving nothing. Bombshells gotta cause more chaos and I think he'd be a fine and dandy OG in the real show but he's just kinda here. I mean idk maybe I tapped through his dialogue too quickly but in my head rn he's similar level to Elliot. Elliot I can at least make gamer jokes about and the girls had more to say about him than just: he's hot, and MC should go for him. that being said what I'm about to reveal i did in a few bullet points will not make sense.

The note was obviously gonna be from Jin (your LI), so them dragging it out was a little annoying. And I have personal opinion on what types of things should be gem choices and part of that is having a good enough excuse not to go through with it and I think not reading the note for no reason is not good enough. Anyway I did choose to read the note and it's sweet and references Jin's whole "funny guy but now I'm serious about you" shtick and I just wish they write that a little differently but it's still cute.

Then we get Bea's messages and it's odd bc I can't think of a reason or another season on the show that they dragged out the bombshells arrival like this. Like first of all, they might as well have given a message to Theo as well instead of just Oakley and Hari. But even more than that, why put the messages at all? just to have a cliffhanger at the end of the episode? I think just straight up during the sports day challenge, have someone read a text that a new couple is joining, and then bam it's Jin and Bea. maybe one text from her but the multiple was bugging me.

I also don't know why I got it in my head that Bea was gonna flirt with Theo/Claudia depending on who you flirted with, plus also your current LI but like that would've been a nice addition since I think Theo and Claudia should be done for but they don't make it clear???

Oakley messing with Emel about the drink was funny ngl, but I do miss the routes not merging because it just doesn't make sense to me having Oakley do that. Jack or Jin, maybe, but Oakley is the silent, serious type. Like in my head, he's more like Noah.

There is very briefly a few friendship moments between MC and Theo this volume and in my head they are besties and I wish that was canon/more explicit because I'm not going after him anyway. That way you get the friends who get closer and become lovers storyline from either Theo or Claudia and the other you still get to be friends with.

I'm surprised Claudia and Theo aren't just fully broken up because Claudia is asking for advice and I'm like, did yall not already get that sorted?? it's been so long. One of them should just go for the bombshells.

A chat with Claudia! finally! (albeit a gem scene) I thought we'd get to know more about her but it's mostly just a game of word association which is odd. I will say admitting that MC associates love with Jin made me laugh bc I'm cruel

The girls then say that MC needs to graft on Hari because they're both single and I get the support, but also MC is still getting over Jin lol.

Remember how I said the way I'm gonna play this doesn't make sense? Okay so I decided I needed to create my own mess, just to see if fusebox is gonna let my MC have consequences for her actions. So this is for science, in a way... Okay. So I may have let my MC flirt with Hari. And then maybe she got a sexy massage from him. And then maybe they kissed. What can I say? She's out of her mind without Jin. 🤣

okay no but seriously, in my head she does start to revert to her old ways, her old type, but she knows Hari isn't right for her. She misses Jin but she's not used to having a connection so fast with someone. And when he's gone she misses him but over the course of the day after putting on her brave face, she's convinced herself she's overthinking it. the letter was sweet but it scared her a little. she knows he was gonna ask her to be exclusive and she freaked a little. she just needs a little distraction....

I enjoy sports day but in my head it's usually a late in the show game. Like around in S2 when they have the bird thing happening or the S4 musical (OK maybe not that late, like probably pre baby challenge, but it's generally a challenge with very little drama is my point). still it was fun to have here.

and then of course return of the king, Jin comes back. and with the way I've been doing shit, yes, MC did kiss Hari when Jin entered and ohhhh he was upset.

Bea is cute but playful and still competitive and okay she goes for your couple, but also I get like Chelsea vibes from her (no canon reason why, I just think it's the hair) so love her.

Double date is so fun when your other partner is nearby, like it's almost enough to forget they did the same thing in season 5 because it's so much better this time around.

for fun and for angst I just imagine in the show, mid date they cut to a beach hut scene where MC is like "yeah I had a fun time with Hari but he when he was talking about all the things he wants in a life partner, I kept thinking about how I want that with Jin." 🥺

anyway yeah bring back beach hut

So I'm not a big fan of how they introduced the bombshells and LI return but it's not bad. I just think we could've gotten more time with Jin, Hari, and Bea. It's unclear but I think it's implied Jin, Hari, Bea, and MC are all single and I hope that's true because that way there will be little consequence (as in no sudden dumping) if you or another one of those characters brings someone from casa. because you're not in a couple anyway. (I mean I always hope there's no Dumping immediately after casa bc the arguments are more fun but this is how they've been doing it recently and i think part of that is bc of how they force the routes to merge)

it's also nice we don't get immediately stolen from our partner a la Tom/Cora entrance (or Elliot/Chloe) but it's sort of implied with how the sports day couples went? like I wish there was just a little more time before Casa so it's clear they're all single

or fuck it, give us a recoupling and post casa don't dump the other LI right away if you switch. Like you should be able to make up with your LI or not and it's boys choice and if they wanna keep the slow burn Theo picks last I guess and gets Bea just to also fix the Theo and Claudia together but not storyline. Maybe between your original LI and Hari, one of them picks Claudia (or give us another mlm couple if you're on a Claudia route and let him couple with Theo lmao)
