may be a hot take but why are some people on here trying to sympathize w king charles.
"cancer is a horrifying disease no one should have to go through"
"he just got into power and he's already dying"
did we all just forget that the royal family has committed genocide, colonized more nations than can be counted, killed people (outside and INSIDE OF the family) for disagreeing with them, so on and so forth ??
no, you arent a good person for having empathy in this situation. at some point you should realize empathy is only for people who deserve it, and king charles, or virtually any of the royal family for that matter, does not deserve it.

Turnip Boy Commits Tax Evasion getting a sequel, in any form, would be good news. The adorable original came out of nowhere to charm all who saw it, and a continuation is plenty welcome. Turnip Boy Robs a Bank isn’t just more of the same however - while its spirit remains, the body is very different.
Rather than continue Tax Evasion’s Zeldesque adventure track, Turnip Boy Robs a Bank is a roguelite shooter in which the titular vegetable robs a bank, obviously. It’s great to see a sequel embrace an entirely different genre when it does so well, and this particular sequel rather nails it.

tips for how you can use the library for other things than books.
don't own any streaming services or tv show/movie not on your streaming servie?? go see if you local library has the movie/tv show and even if they don't they can see if any branches within you county has it and then have it shipped to them for you to pick up
want to host a private event like a dnd group, magic the gathering gaming, local small club, small organization or just need a quiet place to do work/study/take a test (this only applies if your local libarary doesn't have study rooms) Book the meeting room.
Depending on where you are your local library might have other things to check out that isn't books or digital media. For example my library has museum passes and board games you can check out. A library my coworker used to work at in Arizona has seeds you could check out. So don't be afraid to ask what other option you have.
HAVE A KID??? but can't really afford to take them to fun/nice things because of this econmeny look at what events you library offers (sure you might have to drive to a different city/town BUT ITS FREE) (also the usually have really fun things during the summer for example I think this summer we had some people from NASA talk with the kids and give a presentation at our main branch)
Speaking of events they aren't only for kids. All departments has events including YA and Adults. Yes adults has events examples can be decorate your own wine glass (you get a free wine glass), or make your own key chain???
speaking of making your stuff most libraries usually have activities you can take home for example right now at my library we have a macrame hanging plant holder kit for adults to take home..
ALSO BACK TO KIDS because kiddos and their education is important. Libraries have this neat little thing called playviews and Launchpads. Playviews is basically portable tv screen that is loaded with education tv shows that is based on a theme (like pbs) and Luanchpads is tablet that is preloaded with educational games and they are usually themed by subject. They are a great way to enterain your kid and educate them. And honestly if you are going to public event where you have to bring your kid but you know your kids is gonna be board just check out one of these badboys.
this is sorta breaking the rules but I am adding it anyway if You are parent on here maybe or maybe not your might be a new parent. The library has a section in the kids section called Parents books that you can read to your children. They are basically picture books but they adress touchy topics or topics that require an explaintion. such as race, bullying, dealing with emotions, LGBTQ(becuae we live in a hetronormtive socity), Gender Idity (again hetronormtive socity) Loss of a loved one, moving to a new place, ectra. These are great tools if you and your child are going through something and you don't want keep your out of the dark but also don't know how explain to them on a level they would understand.
WE HAVE PRINTERS AND SCANNERS!!!! usealy you have up a certain number of prints you have until you have to pay.
WE ALSO HAVE COMPUTERS WITH THE INTERNET!!!
TLDR
LIBRARIES ARE HERE FOR PEOPLE OF ALL ECONICMIAL STATIS BUT ESPECIALLY FOR PEOPLE WHO ARE TIGHT ON MONEY. so eiher call or go check out your local library system and see what services they can offer you.
ALSO LIBRARIANS OF TUMBLR IF I MISSED ANYTHING FEEL FREE TO ADD

My attempt at summarizing the Stolkien (and Shenny) Cowboy AU thus far (that I've been workshopping with @pcstan of course) under the cut 🐎
Takes place in a small rural town, still undecided if it should still be called South Park or not, set during a classic wild west era. The Marshes have a regular old farm and are neighbors to the Blacks that are city folk that have moved into town after inheriting a few acres of land from a distant relative. Stan and Tolkien becomes fast friends and they, Kyle and Kenny daydream about becoming runaway cowboys when they're older for their own seperate reasons. But when the opportunity to run finally arises at about age 15, only Stan and Kyle actually leave. Stan and Tolkien mutually resent each other - Stan for Tolkien not leaving with him and Tolkien for Stan abandoning his home. They were very much sweethearts without knowing it and so the fallout between them is a lot more bitter and unresolved than with anyone else.
Tolkien stays behind because his parents have passed and the land he inherits is all he has left of them and Kenny stays behind for the sake of his family and for the town (I'll elaborate in a bit). Stan has Kenny promise to look after Shelly in his absence, which Kenny is deeply dedicated to if also partly out of his long unrequited love for Shelly since childhood. Tolkien and Shelly also grow close platonically and regard each other as family.
Tolkien grows up to be the wealthy owner of the town's saloon wherein he employees and thus provides for his friends including Craig, Tweek, Kenny, Bebe and of course Shelly, who works as a saloon girl. Shelly struggles in her job as an enterainer with her abrasive personality, but is grateful to Tolkien for the job, housing and hospitality he gives her - people assume the two are romantically involved, but it is far from the truth. Tolkien is still pining for Stan, though he would never admit this, and Shelly (and anyone who pays attention, really,) knows this. Kenny grows up to become very much a nobody during the day, so poor he relies on the church's generosity and works odd jobs all around town - but at night he is the vigilante cowboy Mysterion, who just happens to have a chaste affair with Shelly. Eventually Kenny reveals his identity and confesses his love to Shelly and the two marry, but just when they settle down and are starting their own family, Stan and Kyle come back to town. Its been 15 years.
Stan and Kyle are now outlaws on the run and seek to hide out in town for a bit until the heat dies down. With them they've got their lil gang which includes David, Trent Boyett and Dog Pu (just randoms they've gathered throughout their lil adventures). Of course nobody's happy to see them, very much least of all Tolkien, who is cold and passive aggresive toward them both, but especially Stan. They have a lot of unresolved tension to work through until they eventually sloooowly achingly and hesitantly crawl toward being finally lovers, most of the effort to getting there being on Stan's part. From friends to sweethearts to exes to strangers to enemies to lovers, yknow yknow. Kenny and Shelly desperately try and hide their relationship from Stan for as long as they possibly can because he'd definitely lose his shit if he were to find out (and he will) but its quite difficult since Shelly is very, very pregnant at this point.
Other notable characters of course include Cartman and Butters who are trying desperately to swindle Tolkien into handing his land over by many means and failing miserably. One of these attempts is Cartman trying to set up Nichole and Tolkien, even though Tolkien is very much a, um, "bachelor", as it were. They have their own gang which includes Clyde, Kevin and even our local priest Scott. There is Wendy, who was arranged to marry Stan since they were little kids but naturally that fell through - now she works as the teacher in the small chapel school they have. Jimmy is our sheriff with Timmy as his deputy. Craig and Tweek work as bartenders (and of course Tweek also plays the piano at times) at the saloon while Bebe is also a saloon girl.
Aaaaand that's about it for now. Not sure if I'm forgetting anything. This AU is very much my brainworms atm - I've never listened to so much country music in my life. If y'all have any questions please ask me or @pcstan cuz it's all we can think about. Ciao!!!

Every time I see someone dissing on Colleen Hoover I want to roll my eyes. Everyone is entitled to their opinions. And I am most certainly bias because I genuinely like her books so far. But I wouldn't be so annoyed if they complained about her writing choices. And her flaws in her writing. Constructive criticism you know.
But no they complain about how she writers her characters. How 'toxic' their actions are. How 'toxic' the romance is. How toxic the plot is. Especially when it has dark twists. How you shouldn't write books like that because they're are "problematic". How you shouldn't like the characters because they're "problematic". How you shouldn't keep the dark twists secret because they can be triggering. That last bit I get, you shouldn't false advertise because people do have actual triggers to these things. But at the same time, it is not the job of the author to put a warning label on their book. Especially if it gives away a good twist that makes the book worth reading. Also its not the job of the writer to be your guide in morality, or write books with characters that can be good role models. The point in fiction, especially fiction by Colleen Hoover is to enterain. Thats it. If the characters are doing messed up things or have messed up romances, it's fine because its fiction. And if reading this piece of fiction messes up your morality and screws your sense of what is right and wrong, than dont read it! But dont judge other people who can tell the difference between reality and fiction and still enjoy it. If Colleen Hoover is this popular than theres probably a genuine reason in her books that resonates with a lot of people. I personally found it(though what do I know? I can't genuinely speak for everyone, and again I'm bias because I like her books). Her books are fun good reads. Easy good reads. A person like me who has adhd, who can't always keep her attention while reading difficult long books. Love these kind of books. So yes I love Colleen Hoover books, and I think its pretty shitty to shame someone about that. Especially when you have personally never read any of her books.
(Don't like don't read. Post hate and I'll block you)

finished death of the outsider honestly pretty good like definitely obviously a DLC for 2 that was just spun off into its own egregiously expensive game for no reason but i liked it a lot more than 2 as a first time experience.
i think the sheer budget and amount of shit in levels in 2 makes it a more enteraining product over a longer period of time but the writing in doto was better and the gameplay felt less like an exercise in making your own fun
the ending being almost literally nothing was definitely a let down but i think its impressive that it managed to build up enough of a narrative to be able to disappoint on that front to begin with. overall i liked it :)

The moon is a loyal companion. It never leaves. It’s always there, watching, steadfast, knowing us in our light and dark moments, changing forever just as we do. Every day it’s a different version of itself. Sometimes weak and wan, sometimes strong and full of light. The moon understands what it means to be human.Uncertain. Alone. Cratered by imperfections. there's something about the darkness, the stillness of this hour that creates a language of its own. There's a strange kind of freedom in the dark; a terrifying vulnerability we allow ourselves at exactly the wrong moment, tricked by the darkness into thinking it will keep our secrets. Rain smacked ominously against the windows leaving a bite to the normal kiss of the wind. Raindrops were another reminder that clouds had a heart beat and she had one too. The Saltzman girl hadalways wondered about raindrops. The smaller framed girl wondered about how they're always falling down, tripping over their own feet, breaking their legs and forgetting their parachutes as they tumble right out of the sky toward an uncertain end. It's like someone is emptying their pockets over the earth and doesn't seem to care where the contents fall, doesn't seem to care that the raindrops burst when they hit the ground, that they shatter when they fall to the floor, that people curse the days the drops dare to tap on their doors. She may have been the sun to her best friends moon, but they were both woman thrust into making it in the world. Being quotation marks that had only vaguely chosen were they were placed. Happiness came easy to her. Not the kind of sacrine sweetness that spoke of fake stories and eyes like mirrors showing you what you wanted to see or nothing at all. Yet, Judith had barged into her life and helped pick up her broken pieces to make a stained glass window. Their sisterhood was the kind of thing that was beautiful in the way only broken things could be. She liked way that she felt about herself in the petite girl’s orbit. There was trust and compliments that she did not need to hear from the snarky girls mouth. Judith seemed to think that she was strong and smart and capable and she actually values her opinion beyond enteraining the sentiment that you should ask. Shee makes her  feel like her equal--like she can accomplish just as much as she can, and more. And if she something incredible, she's not even surprised. In fact, it wasn’t a big deal. A sort of love in the absence of circumstance after being used to the dramatic nature of her sister and slightly alcoholic single father. She expects it. She doesn't treat her like some fragile little girl who needs to be protected all the time. People seldom realize that they tell lies with their lips and truths with their eyes all the time. Judith’s eyes were windows. Surprisingly honest and vulnerability with unseen depths that didn’t make her completely understandable. Her beauty of soul was like that of a knife glinting in the light. Capable of darkness, but as protective as violent. the kind of lover that kept the world away from those fabrics that frayed against the machine. The kind of pieces you wouldn’t want a guest to see when covering them with a blanket. The onyx haired girl had finally been able to put her need to care for other people into something that was less toxic for her and her happiness. It was still a bit odd to be alone in this city even if it felt good to no longer be the silver medal everywhere she walked. Josie let out a long suffering sigh that came from fondness when she saw Judith sitting in her area of the hospital. As much as she cared for her friend, it was clear the woman was always involved in some cyclone of action or another. Love, even the platonic kind, could be a real bastard. Today had been going so well. She had actually had time to attempt to bake. Was complimented by the cute medical student on her rotation. Her found family had made unofficial plans for dinner. Without them, she could forget that their was a world outside of sweaters and textbooks or the swaddled warmth of sleep. Her heart pounded like a monster against the cage of her chest. Concern for the woman slumped in an elegant mess like some nineties male heroine to cool for this world even as blood painted her face and bruises The worried friend remained though the pick pocket eyes of a doctor checking someone over came to fruition. “Honsestly, judith, you are giving me all the medical student practice hours I need though I fear you might just become a quilt with all the patching of. Is it too much to ask you not to use your fists for something? I made buttercream frosting from scratch. You nearly gave me a heart attack you know. More nightmare than dream right now and that doesn’t count the cool leather jacket before you think that. Two hours. that’s all you had to get through before we watched mindless reality shows with the bad chinese food down the street. Maybe I should take my mom friend role more seriously. Now lean back- please. I don’t want to see you hurt further.”
