Plagiarism Somerton

I obviously didn't watch the new James Somerton apology video ON his channel because I did not want to give that man the views and you shouldn't either! It has been re-uploaded and summarised elsewhere so that he doesn't benefit if anyone wants to see it.

The original hbomberguy video was wild to me because of all the stealing, I found it highly entertaining, loved all the Memes and it honestly did my imposter syndrome wonders! but then I watched the Todd in the shadows video and it really upset me.

He didn't just steal from other LGBT creators he lied to his mostly young LGBT audiance who were looking to an elder gay for guidance and to learn about their history.

Todd's video starts with a clip of James lies being spread by another person on a podcast, there's clips of people discussing his made up gay nazi fanfic he has presented as hard facts. He actively harmed his own community for cash! There are young gay men bringing that subject up in conversation being laughed at for falling for it and that leaves a really bad taste in my mouth.

Now I'm not a part of that community but a lot of people I love are so that angered me a lot.

...and then he comes back with another apology video, conveniently within the three months he would have had to post something on his channel to retain his monetisation status weirdly?! In which he blames both a head injury and his ADHD for his theft - at no point does he address the lying in either apology video or any of the apology posts he made that I could find.

I have combined ADHD, when I was first diagnosed the NHS referred to it as ADD with Hyperactivity element but everyone seems to have gone back to calling it ADHD and that is the term used most commonly online so that is what I refer to it is as.

I am medicated but there has been a world wide shortage of my medication and I was without it for some time over winter, which was HELL! I got nothing done.

I am in no way a big creator, Youtube for me is a fun wee hobby that will hopefully grow and allow me to collaborate with other people with similar interests but ADHD is for sure a large part of my journey as a creator.

I've published like 7 videos and currently have around 10 being worked on because, you know... ADHD! *siren noises*

I know that I am forgetful sometimes, just for the record I also had several head injuries and concussions as a child because Lil undiagnosed at the time me truly had no fear of climbing or other dangerous activities so I have my script (because free talking a subject with this brain would be nearly impossible) open in one google doc and my research open in another. It's not hard.

That's the way it was at school, college and Uni too. James claims he went to Uni to do business. Every university uses anti-plagerism software for essays and has done since like the mid 2000's? so he knows not to copy pasta. He's straight up lying there.

Another thing he's lying about is his ADHD making him forget he copied things. Now if you tell me a joke that I like it'll stick in my head and I will straight up tell it as my own later, I've been called out for this many times! But entire articles? whole sections of other peoples videos? (he also flipped a fan Vid he had ripped off of another YouTube to avoid detection and tried to pass it off as his own) No that's not something you can accidentally do even with a swiss cheese brain like mine.

Weirdly all the the paragraphs James claims he accidentally copied were also edited to remove aspects of the Trans, Bi and Ace experiences that James markedly does not believe exist. Strange considering he accidentally copied them and assumed they were his own words? Imagine going back through a paragraph you think you wrote yesterday in the edit the next day and finding swarths of things you don't agree with there?!

Why am I telling you all this? Well because I wanted to put my two cents in as a creator with this condition, partly because I felt it was somewhat of an attack on us!? He's put it out there that ADHD creators are liable to steal from others and that's not ok by me. Also I just really like the sound of my own typing!

TL;DR : James Sommerton is a suck ass liar and he doesn't get to use his disability as an excuse for what he did! and...

What a ride that episode was. My goodness if you aren’t satisfied with what we just got. I can’t help you LOL First so love me some morning Chenford. Seeing Tim in his PJs getting coffee and telling her about his night, her waiting up for him in hopes of seeing him. Her calling him babe and wanting to soothe his wound. I loved how damn proud he looked when Lucy told him Harper/Angela were backing her for detective. He was beaming with pride. Being supportive, knowing she will not only ace her test but get in top 12. No doubt in his mind his girl is in.

What I loved most about this scene (other than the sweet morning kiss we got) how she seemed so bummed and worried about seeing each other less but Tim was positive and saying it would be ok. They would be alright and work it out. His little wink. Him being the positive one and her being worried and unsure. Who is this man? Haha What a switch. Such a change in him it’s unreal. Blows me away anytime I see it. Said this before, him being truly and unconditionally loved by Lucy just radiates from him. It shows every week and makes me so happy.

Other thing I loved in this ep. The way Lucy worried about him after he shot Joel. The minute she saw him get released it was instinct to reach out and absorb his pain and anguish. To help, encourage and lift him back up in a way only she can. Did love Harper telling her to hang back and let him talk to Grey first. Tim tearing up in his office got me good. Eric you crushed that scene sir. my heart. All could think about was how wanted Lucy to take all that away for Tim.

The hallway scene was so so good. We got primo PDA of her not only holding onto his arm but giving him sweet rubs. Trying to soothe the raging emotions running through his body. Tim being bristly at first then her looking at him saying she just wanting to help. He immediately melts and reverts back to soft Tim. Knowing all she ever wants to do is help him. The sweet touches he does in reply cloud 9 goodness. Also him wanting to help her right back with her studying. Not only help her but compliments her by saying he couldn’t have done it without her. That sassy you owe me and his reply heh. Unreal we have to wait three weeks for the next one, but once again I am very satisfied with their trajectory this season. This whole ep was. ❤️ Eric and Melissa are a treasure.

The Australia Connection

So, not too long ago, it was revealed that DIC had planned to make a fourth Sonic show, and probably the wildest one yet- a show focusing not on Sonic, but a spinoff focusing on his cousins. Said cousins live on an asteroid and solve mysteries while attending high school, and are a part of the school news team.

Yeah, like I said- pretty damn wild. But! One thing to note is that the Asteroid the cousins live on is described as being akin to Australia, and that Sonic's aunt and uncle run a combination diner/repair depot. And this got me to thinking of the origins of Sonic... and why Mobius was denied the glory of Pub Rock.

What am I getting at?

Well, Sonic's earliest given origins have him as a native of a place called Christmas Island. Christmas Island in the real world is an Australian territory.

Why is that significant? Well, you now who else is an Australian? Or rather, a 'Downundan'? Vector the Crocodile!

Yep, in Archie Sonic #212 Vector was revealed to have originally been a native of Downunda, Mobius' version of Australia, and his current accent was the result of covering up his natural one. Why is that significant, you ask? Because once upon a time, Vector was in a band with Sonic.

And thus, the origin comes together-

Sonic was originally born on Christmas Island, while his extended family lived on the mainland. When he had time he'd visit said family, and gradually met with other musically inclined youngsters and started up a band. Using his uncle's diner as a venue, Sonic and the gang would get their start performing for his aunt and uncle's customers, and even managed to make a small name for themselves.

Aaand then it all went to shit when THIS guy showed up.

You can probably guess the rest- Sonic's burgeoning career as a rock star comes to a sudden and crashing end as Eggman's attack prompts him to fight back, leading him to becoming a globetrotting hero as he thwarts the doc's schemes to conquer the planet. Over the years, Sonic's accent fades into something more 'continental', though occasionally flares up when he's particularly peeved...

Likewise, the rest of the band is scattered to the four winds. Vector eventually re-settles in the United Federation and becomes a detective, where his original Australian/Downundan accent gives way to a Federation accent. The rest of the band, Mach, Max and Sharps, eventually turn their fortunes around when they join with an up-and-coming pop singer called Mina Mongoose, and become part of the band the Forget Me Knots.

And that's the story of how because of Robotnik, Mobius never got its own version of AC/DC, and thus Sonic became a hero to the world rather than a rock legend. And also he is evidently the Mobius version of an Australian.

So what does this all mean? It means I have too much time on my hands, is what it means. But I do hope you all get something out of this crack-pipe spawned idea.

(I must also make the disclaimer that the real world island that inspired the Christmas Island idea was in fact the island of Kiritimati, a pacific island used for nuclear testing by the US and UK. But still, I'm attached to the Australia thing, so there!)

There is no way, no way that the brother that I always love..

now went missing.

I can't be all alone! NOT LIKE THIS!!

Not without my brother like that!! How am I supposed to keep on waiting since he told me that secret?!

...But none of that matters anyway, my sisters were still nicer to me.. though I- can notice that they felt tired.

I see why..

All was starting with worry when Jasmine tried to call Ace, over and over again but there is no response.

Til now.. Hell broke loose when She and Nora began to argue outside of my room during 8:14 PM after Nora returned from working at Starbucks.. I didn't like that, when I began to just hearing that Ace haven't responded her calls.

I didn't believe her at first.. til I tried calling him too.

No responses.

Yet it's the same thing when I tried and tried again. But again, all nothing but silence.

Now I feel scared, scared if my brother was either snatched by someone, or is it because he was busy? But what I am now officially dealing with is that.. well—

I didn't want the broken family we used to had unto from return, Jasmine began to feel tired, feel workaholic, and yet anger is inside because she'll do what it takes to find Ace.. She now works for the detective after she had to quit her job for being a gardener, but Nora and I were worried, but we also didn't want to interrupt her.. and so, we had no choice.

We had to leave her and move somewhere so that she won't hurt us again.

Like our own mother and grandfather from before.

I remember Father and Auntie trying to protect us from them, not until they died from a terrible accident.. yet we're the only three left, the Siblings.

[ August 8, 2023, 10:38 PM.. 4 weeks later after. ]

My own sense of anxiety and paranoia began to spread as I was just lying still on my bed, staring at the celling from midnight. Reflecting it like a shadow shuddering behind the celling fan.. and yet I was shaking from only fear. Because of fear, only just fear and nothing else.

I can't help but feel nothing as a fragile doll, but I don't want them to know..

...There was a nightmare I had, 3 weeks ago at 11:11 PM.

I didn't even want to mention it but it was so scary... Scary but at first, me and Ace were just playing around at the neighborhood, I didn't realize that something happened. Then I stopped, in confusion.. and now scared, as I just saw my brother being held from blue strings, for me, I was forced to watch him get dragged away by... those 5 red eyes.

Yes, those 5 red eyes... I'm not sure what that was. But it scared me.

I was supposed to run up to my brother, reaching him, trying to save him from whatever is trying to get him.

But darkness nor light either tried to stop me, as I got greeted by an...archangel entity–like demi-god, it looked like a woman but not like that in my own eyes.

This demi-god I first saw has 5 eyes, white silvered skin, glowing red color, 3 wings, a black veil dressed and dried dark brown medium-like hair, while staring at my brother who is now in strings like a puppet doll. There was someone controlling him..

I was too frozen when staring at...whoever is hunting my dreams, the expression was blank, blank at first but there is a smile to the lips.. she slowly placed a finger on her lips to keep me quiet, I don't know what to do now but to nod despite my paranoia and fear beginning to rise up.

Then she proceeded to leave like a floating angel, when I tried to get up and shouted at my brother's name to make him "respond"..

I now woke up, shaking and shivering what I just witness.

It was someone, someone who was actually the one who took my brother away from me. And yet I...hated that nightmare. I really do.

Then weeks later, I always pretended that everything is okay to my sister Nora, she was suspicious at first but she always just shrugged and just..let that slide, thank god.

I was this lucky enough that I began to had an panic attack when I was home alone, lucky me didn't have the security cameras at our new home.. Wonder how Jasmine is okay but who knows...

I feel she is no longer the first older sister I loved now. She has changed.

But what that reminds me... Ace is a journalist, he is trying to research about that "Sleep" God he tells me and my sisters' stories about. Every now and then.

Until realization hits me...

Did it just..

.....Was it the one who took Ace?

..Did it, or she actually did?

Or is just my anxiety trying and making me feel delusional?

And yet I hate it.

I hated it so much that I can't help but cry quietly and softly in fear and anxiety mixing together from my brain and body, I tend to cover it with under my own pillow and my blanket.

This is really all my fault for keeping a lot of secrets, it must have been. Because before the week he went missing, he told me about something of him wanting to be a new bandmate of that band we all loved.

I just wish I could stay with Ace.

I just wish I couldn't keep his secrets but I just can't do it, ..bitter consequences will hit me if I say the truth to the ones I know.

This will be the bitter deception I will be forced to live on for now. And it cannot make me feel safe. Nor to set me free from the tragic and sadness that I've been through.

....But maybe.... just— m-maybe..

If you are really safe for me, or you feel comfort for being safe to whoever snatched you, dear brother..

Will you come home?

ok i feel like making more in depth posts about those games i just listed but since they're so many i'll separate them by genre

Also admittedly I sorta just tossed these games into genres very haphazardly so i dunno if i particularly categorized them right. anyways, here are the ~~~mystery games~~~

This is basically ace attorney but with birds, which makes it an instant favorite. Also, for some reason, the french revolution is involved. i really don't remember why. I remember also a twist ending that's fun, plays on the expectations an ace attorney player would have and stabs them with a knife.

another bird-themed mystery game thing, point and click. It's got a nice aesthetic, and the voice acting is honestly quite good. i like going around and detectiving and also being a bird. it's fun.

there are a LOT of furry detective games for some reason. i think this one is based on a french comic? actually maybe i shouldn't have picked this as an "obscure game," i think this is, actually, a pretty big deal in france maybe?? the lady cats look real weird. i don't remember literally anything about this except that. somehow. the game ends somewhere underground.

LITERALLY don't remember anything about this. but the protagonist is a lady detective.

another furry mystery. this one is neat because you're just in your wheelchair, looking out from your room and finding out shit by watching. There's another game, Conway: Disappearance at Dahlia View (or whatever), where the protagonist is also in a wheelchair and looking outside his window, but Conway's protagonist drives me crazy for just being So Nosy and just, getting into places he Really Shouldn't. Anyways, the flower collectors felt nicer.

i just kinda realized that, like. this probably shouldn't be under the "mystery" genre. Like, yeah, I guess you're trying to figure shit out, but it's not exactly. like. mystery mystery. yknow? But it's a time loop! It's a time loop game. You're trying to figure out the stuff that's going on in this time loop. I think it's neat. Time loops are neat. It's fun.

this one also isn't really a mystery, honestly. Even though it calls itself "a mystery game" in the title. but I made my bed and now I have to sleep in it. Anyways, this one I don't particularly know how I feel about it. It's a very odd game. fun visuals sometimes. The scenery was nice. There are some good vibes. It's very odd. Anyways.

i literally don't remember shit about this game. there's a boat. you walk around in a house. I love walking around in houses. i love picking stuff up and looking at it.

I find this game to be a very interesting one...! I have no idea how to describe it. Also, there's some sort of....secret? Or something? on the title screen. I think there's a secret. But I don't know what it is or how to unlock it, and nobody else seems to know either, at least last I checked. you have to use law as evidence. but also, you play a cop so. y'know. acab. There's multiple endings depending on like, if you are a "good enough cop" or not. And also, you can use evidence in different ways when indicting someone, there are different level of crimes you can arrest someone for as well. Anyways, it's neat.

i remember liking this one because it involves timelines and you figuring out what's wrong with what people are saying based on what they say happened. Also, the culprits are daemons and you have to also correctly identify which daemon the culprits are possessed by.

honestly........this probably doesn't count as obscure (i see over 3k reviews) but i mean, like. it has the vibes of obscure. the environments and the music and everything is very, uhh, what's that genre called again? something-core? VAPORWAVE. that. also, there's a map and you walk around it and you collect things and i am always obsessed with that. honestly reminds me a lot of umineko, in terms of like. one of the phrases that keeps repeating is "the truth is not the same as the facts" (I think?). like, the ending is where you accuse people, and you essentially decide the "truth." and, yes, like, in some ways, the question of "who killed X" can be played with! Who is actually culpable? How far do you go? Idk. it's neat. also, your name is Lady Love Dies!!!! it's cool!!!! what a fucking name.

i don't actually know how i feel about this one either. there's stealth involved, though. and a lot of exploration elements, which I think is neat, actually, but i am such a soft nervous baby so I probably missed a lot of shit tbh. And there's a timed element too, so extra nervous baby mode.

uhhhhh. this one also probably hsouldn't have been counted as an obscure game, oops. I think there was a certain point where I just, really went wild for space games. I don't remember what this one is at all. I think there was some eldrich elements at the end, so maybe it shouldn't be considered a mystery, oops. Actually, this should probably be under horror. oops. oops!!

visual novel. I'm surprised it didn't have more reviews, because like.....i think this started as an actual? like? console visual novel game?? and got ported to steam later. anyways, i think this one is funny for one particular ending. maybe this also shouldn't count as a mystery, because you can, uh, determine what the "answer" is by choosing certain ways to write letters. but look, it's mysterious! you're trying to solve, like, a disappearance!! it's fine.

this one involves cults. once again, you get to walk around a place and look at things and pick them up. i like that in a game. does this count as horror? I think it does make things creepy and tries to scare you at points, i guess. ummmm i guess also this probably shouldn't count as mystery either. anyways, this is about cults so i mean, definitely a lot of dark shit going on here. you read a lot about death and sex and bad cult shit.

this one is an fmv game (game with real-ass people) and this one i think is kinda fun because you will shapeshift as people, meaning you can go to each person as some different person and see how they treat you and stuff. which is fun. though i think that doesn't end up mattering as much. i don't remember a lot of this actually. i liked the radio people.

corporate capitalism apocalypse type thing. sometimes i get so so sad about having to make decisions on shit. you make decisions on people living or dying. also, your boss grades your performance. there's one case about a cop android in particular that makes me so so so sad. anyways.

this one is by the guys who make the sherlock holmes game. this also maybe doesn't quite count as mystery?? because you also have to shoot stuff and things. but i mean, you also solve crimes and also sidequest crimes, so like. whatever. also, there is lovecraftian horror things involved. it is very much a sherlock holmes game except lovecraft.

i don't remember this game. but i do remember it being neat.

I've written for a bunch of fandoms over the years. Currently I'm most active in Guardian and adjacent fandoms, but I think I could and would still write for pretty much everything I've written for in the past. So the full list would be Guardian, the Silmarillion, QZGS, MDZS/CQL, YYM, the Rebel, DMBJ, and some RPF :D

4. What are your top 5 fics by kudos?

5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?

I try to always respond to comments, bc i myself really like it when an author responds to my comments, so I would be a hypocrite not to do it myself. But also I kind of enjoy that interaction. Especially if ppl have commented on specific lines or on the themes. Sometimes commenters have insights about my fics that even I didn't have myself while writing, and I like to let them know their thoughts were appreciated :)

6. What is a fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

Well, I am an angst writer, but I often try to make the endings of my fics at least a bit hopeful :/// I think the angstiest ending to a finished fic would have to go to either Crowded full of parting's feeling, which ends with LXC being (for the first time in his life) truly and utterly alone. Kind of a bummer. Or perhaps the easy part, which ends with ZYL crying himself to sleep on the kitchen floor.

7. What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

As I said, I try to make my endings hopeful, if not truly happy, but there are a few true happy endings to my fics! I think my RPF pieces tend to be the happiest bc I am slightly less likely to put these guys through the wringer the way I do with my truly fictional blorbos. I think the happiest however is homecoming, which ends with WJX finally coming out as trans and being her best and truest self.

8. Do you get hate on fics?

Not yet??? Hopefully it stays that way! I do write RPF though, so I'm very ready for one of the crazy antis to one day drop into my inbox calling me all sorts of nasty things for *looks at writing scribbled on hand* having the audacity to put characters in fictional situations that don't hurt the real ppl that inspired these characters in any way??? yeah :PPP

9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?

Occasionally, when the muse strikes! But my ace brain finds it quite difficult. My mind tends to trail off and scatter all over the place when I get to the actual smut, and I have a hard time reeling it back in. As a result my smutty fics often get needlessly long xD and they also get a little kinky bc my brain tries to come up with ways to stay engaged in its own writing xD I like testing the limits of how poetic I can be about smut scenes.

10. Do you write crossovers? What's the craziest one you've written?

Almost never. I rarely enjoy reading them unless they are very well done, so I don't generally think of writing them. The only consistent exception to this rule is all the weilan derivative fics! I love those very much, even if I don't always know the characters. So i've written one of those myself: no shame in having loved, a crossover between the Rebel and Detective L, which takes Luo Fei's perspective at snapshots in the Rebel canon, reflecting on everything that Lin Nansheng learns, loses, and cannot seem to stop giving away. It's a sad one, but with a slightly hopeful ending :)

11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?

Not that I know of? I don't think I'm big enough in any fandom for anyone to consider stealing my work.

12. Have you ever had a fic translated?

Nope, but I have had one podficced :D

13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?

I have not. On the one hand I think I'd love to try one day, but I'm also very particular about certain things and I fear I might get antsy. I love brainstorming about fic though! Some of my best ideas have come from talking to people.

14. What's your all-time favorite ship?

Uhm Weilan I think? I'm not really in fandom for the shipping.

15. What's a wip you want to finish, but doubt you ever will?

ohh hard one. I have three, if I may:

And miles to go (before I sleep): it's a story that's still very dear to me, but it's been so long since I started it that I think I'd need to rewrite the whole thing, bc I've gotten better at writing in the meantime and the style of any new chapter wouldn't match the first ones.

First gradually, and then all at once: I wrote all of this in a single week, and then uni got in the way, and then my hyperfixation on YYM ended and since then the fic's been stuck in unfortunate limbo :(((( I really want to finish it but I need the muse to guide me

Tryptich: not yet posted, but fully planned. It's one of the toughest, angstiest, most cathartic fic plots I have ever come up with, and I really want to write it because it is such a meaningful story about mental health and loss and recovery, but it's also YYM fandom, and as established above I need to regain that hyperfixation for this to move anywhere :(((( or just have a lot of free time on my hands where I can write both the guardian fic stuck in my brain and this.

16. What are your writing strengths?

uuhm, I think atmosphere/scene setting, structure, and character study/reflection.

17. What are your writing weaknesses?

dialogue tags (bane of my existence). I also think my work can sometimes drag on, I use too many words sometimes. Also I feel like I can be kind of a one trick pony xD I repeat a lot of similar lines and dramatic build-up between stories.

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?

Can be great when other ppl do it. If it's a language I can read a little bit that's nice , otherwise including a translation at the bottom helps. I'd definitely never write dialogue in a language I'm not fluent in. That being said, I do pay a lot of attention to what language my characters are 'actually' speaking, even if I present their dialogue to my readers in English. For example if would write a phrase like "he pauses to breathe between all three syllables" (which sucks as a line, but bear with me), in an English-language fic where the characters would canonically be speaking Mandarin Chinese, then I would make sure the line that character said would actually contain 3 syllables in both English and Chinese. I do a lot of that kind of reasoning in my head. "If this line, reflecting on dialogue spoken in Y language, was transposed directly into language X that the characters are really supposed to be speaking, would the line still work like this?" if the answer there is no, then I will either change the line, or change the English dialogue until I have something that reflects what I imagine the characters would say in their native language in the way I need!

20. Favorite fic you've written?

I've watched all available episodes of Nancy Drew and am rewatching season 3 (can you tell I ship Nace), and here are some of my thoughts no one asked for:

The biggest plot twist was the reveal in season 3 or 4 that Nancy's mom hasn't even been dead for a year. It's fucking crazy how each season spans a few weeks?? You're telling me that in less of a year Nick and George fell in love, got engaged, and then broke up? And Nick's on his third relationship. Bess fell in love 3 times?? She loved the FBI agent, called Odette the love of her life and is now seriously in to the new girl? And how many boyfriends has Nancy had? Nick, Owen, Gil, Park, and soon Ace? Plus she had a thing with the other detective? And now Ace is the love of her life? Carson really started dating that cop as soon as his wife died and is now seriously dating someone else? He's probably still paying for his wife's funeral. Do normal people move on this fast? Also, in less than a year the gang decided they would die for each other, unquestioningly? Intense.

Season 2 was a mess. Season 1 was legit fucking scary and the plot was amazing. After season 1 the show felt completely new. Season 2 was the worst because they did a whole concept change with the case of the week format, which imo didn't work. The episodes were all dry and there was nothing driving the story forward. Seasons 3 and 4 are a mix of seasons 1 and 2, with the episodes having some continuity and still standing on their own.

Season 2 also had the issue of Odette. I hated that storyline. The actress honestly did a very poor job. I couldn't connect with her at all. Season 4 is way better so far.

It's fucking weird how it was an issue when underage George dated Ryan (ewww), but Nancy (or the show) doesn't apparently see a problem with three grown-ass men being into a teenage girl? She's so smart but doesn't think it's inappropriate for them to date her? Especially the cops??

I'm sure Nancy gets on everyone's nerves, but she really has the unfortunate main female lead syndrome. She's insufferable most of the time. She's always getting everyone in trouble, never listens, puts herself and her cases first. When Ace got in trouble and asked her to solve the chocolate box riddle, she literally ignored him while he still asked about her case and told her to be careful. Although he was scared and in danger, he didn't mind being told no and stopped to talk with her. The hilarious thing is that she later solved the riddle in like 2 seconds lmao. The show takes it too far. She's smart but her photographic memory is ridiculous.

To be fair, the characters were also unfair to Nancy when they blamed them for their death curses in season 2. They said it was her fault because she was selfish, but they literally insisted on going with her to call on the Aglaeca. She told them not to.

Bess's best love interest was Odette. I didn't like the actress's performance, but it was cute anyway, and that one kiss they shared was magical.

I started noticing something between Ace and Nancy in season 2, and now I ship them, but it's also weird seeing them together. They fell in love even when they were dating other people?

One of the best lines in the show was when George's grandma said something like "It's not a path if it goes nowhere. That's a hole in the ground." Made me laugh the two times I heard it.

I wish the show had stuck with the season 1 format.

I shipped Owen and Nancy and he's still my second favorite boyfriend of hers after Ace.

Nancy saying Ace isn't letting her move on in season 4 is absurd. How is her stopping her??? But the dude shouldn't have let the ferret go just because he got jealous. He went through all that trouble just to catch it.

I still don't fully understand why George and Nick broke up.

I love Ryan and Carson's dynamic, and their dynamic with Nancy. It's like found family, with a twist. Ryan is Nancy's biological dad but he literally just found out and Carson raised Nancy but she's not his biological daughter. It's also cute how Ace is tight with Carson. He was really nice to him.

After Nancy absorbed all the lust in the chastity dress, she later said it was refreshing to just feel desire, but that was so cheesy. I'm sorry, but when does she not allow herself to feel desire? That girl is not repressed in any way - only emotionally.

I'm not super fond of George either. My faves are Ace, Bess, Ryan and Carson. Nick and George's sisters are cute too.

I had other things I wanted to say but I can't remember them...

This entire scene emotionally destroyed me but there's one part in particular that was like taking a knife to an already open wound.

So, Gon shuts down after the reveal that Kite was dead all along and his stunned and racing mind is disjointed and contradictory. Most of his statements fit into roughly three categories of desperate thoughts:

Vehement inability to process that Kite is dead. From the statement being repeated multiple times to the amount of "no"s everywhere on these pages.

Taking the blame for Kite's death, in a frankly horrifying show of self-hatred (especially given the context of what comes next).

Blaming Pitou and proclaiming that he "didn't do it" in an attempt to absolve the weight of his guilt.

Heartbreaking. But there's one thought here that's a bit different.

Throughout all of this, Gon has been adamant that Kite, and by extension the situation, can be "fixed" - after all, most every issue that's come up before on his adventures could be resolved nicely. But now, suddenly, it can't. Gon can't stand feeling powerless or helpless, and now he finds himself more helpless than he's ever been. And we get this.

"Somebody help me."

Gon is independent. Gon has a burning need to prove his worth through his own strength. Gon has a bad habit of equating "taking responsibility" with fixing things all by himself and rejecting help from others.

Gon has never pleaded for someone to save him before.

And it's just. Holy shit. Holy shit - he's a kid. He's just a kid. And in just a few pages, he's going to make a despair-fueled decision to throw away his life just to regain any semblance of power over a situation that was doomed to be unfixable from the start. He says, "Let it end. I don't care what happens to me now.", because this is the only way he can think of to make his pain and his guilt and Pitou all just stop, by losing himself to all of his power instead of his grief.

If the Sanders Sides had Pokémon teams!

Howdy, so, a user by the name of werewroammin made teams for each of the sides, and inspired me to make my own as well!

I am more into the collection side of Pokémon, I’m all about rare cards and shinies! However, I’ve completed several games, so I at least have the basic knowledge of battling and team building!

I wanted to make teams that suit their personalities, but we’re also functional in the games as actual teams! That said, I’ll be going into a LOT of detail about each of their teams, so this post will be… long…

I’ll save y’all that aren’t interested the trouble, and keep all that nerdy stuff under the cut! For those that ARE interested, you’re in for a treat! Enjoy my rambles!

Patton is up first!

Blissey, Audino (Mega), Kangaskhan, Togekiss, Politoed, and Sylveon!

For Blissey, I chose this for their moveset, item, and ability!

Blissey is a Pokémon that’s seen in Pokémon centers, and is also called the happiness Pokémon, all of which has Patton written all over it.

Blissey is also a huge TANK of a Pokémon, and with minimize paired with leftovers and calm mind, this thing is one big POWER HOUSE. Probably would be Patton’s strongest on his team.

Next up, Audino (Mega)!

Audino is also commonly seen in Pokémon centers. Called the hearing Pokémon, Audino can use its EARS to detect someone’s physical and emotional health, which makes them wonderful helpers to nurses!

I imagine this would be Patton’s ace Pokémon, as they are usually very cheerful and friendly Pokémon, known for approaching any Pokémon, even if they seem hostile. Sound familiar?

Now, onto Kangaskhan!

Who matches Patton better than the one and only parent Pokémon? Another absolute tank of a Pokémon, and one that’s well known for being a caring and nurturing Pokémon to people and other Pokémon alike. Patton through and through!

He’d probably allow Kangaskhan to baby sit Virgil regularly, despite the fact that Virgil is an adult man-

Up next, Togekiss!

Still keeping up the fairy theme, I wanted to have a Pokémon that seemed cuddly and soft but also useful. Togekiss isn’t the best fairy type, but they have a wide range of moves that could help with type advantages, like solar beam and aura sphere.

Togekiss is also seen as a good luck charm! Usually steers clear of conflict, and isn’t one to be hostile first. Basically the kind of Pokémon that would rather hug it out than throw hands- uh, wings I guess-

Next on the list, Politoed!

Come on. This is THE Pokémon for Patton. An adorable little frog? Tell me this isn’t Patton to a tea by design alone. Go on. I’ll wait.

They’re usually seen as the leaders of their groups of poliwags and poliwhirls, and quite strong ones at that. They like to sing, even though to the human ear it sounds like they’re dying. Yeah, Politoed is just meant for Patton.

And finally, Sylveon!

Another fairy, but I think this one specifically is a great choice for Patton, as they’re very emotional Pokémon and can literally tap into people’s feelings and soothe them.

They’re known for helping people calm down by wrapping their ribbons around peoples arms in a soothing way. Sylveon could definitely help Patton if he’s getting too emotional, and basically be Pattons little therapy Pokémon.

That concludes Patton! Now!

It’s Logan’s turn!

Alakazam, Meowstic (Male), Glastrier, Froslass, Aegislash, and Klingklang!

A combination of psychic, ice, and steel types, all of which are pretty fitting for some entirely based on Logic itself.

First to talk about, Alakazam!

Said to have an IQ of 5,000, this extremely intelligent Pokémon is a great fit for Logan. Alakazam would be his ace, his best friend, his most loyal companion. They’d get along swimmingly, and I like to think it’d be adorable for him to find an Abra as a little kid and raise it to a fully evolved Alakazam.

Paired with their intelligence, they’re also wickedly strong Pokémon, and given the right moveset, they can make one big powerhouse for the whole team.

Next, Meowstic!

Meowstic isn’t the strongest psychic type out there, but the design alone suits Logan, so I did a bit more digging on them and found out they really represent Logan more than I thought.

These Pokémon are known for concealing their psychic energy because it’s too powerful for them to control. Kinda like how Logan’s emotions are so powerful he can hardly control them, so he hides them.

Unfortunately, I can only add 10 photos per post on mobile, so this will just have to be a part one for now! Do not fret, part two is already in the works! :]

Next on the list would be the rest of Logan’s team, and the start of a certain prince’s team!

Yeah, my dude. What did you think "flooded" meant? This is why I've been talking about Icardi being the only person who can navigate this space conveniently under these conditions.

Though my eye is currently being drawn to that big-ass life raft. Not necessarily relevant to our case; A lot of people would have had to evacuate, and anyone could have left this behind. But it sure is convenient that it's lying here.

But if it is relevant to our case, then that would be a strike against Icardi being our culprit. Icardi wouldn't need this.

No, Bestie, that's not--

...hold up. Hey! I promised you the ocean. This is not it, but it is a large body of water accumulating under the rainfall. So we're like halfway there.

Ocean's way more majestic, though. You'll see it one of these days. Unless all of the Master Detectives die in the final ac, which is still highly plausible.

That checks out. Kurumi knows what's up. So that means we have little to fear from corpo-cops ruining our investigative good time.

Sometimes video games throw lines in just for the sake of blowing smoke up the player's ass. People will like your game more if it stops to tell them that they're the most special person ever.

No, ladies, I am not amazing. I am slowly navigating these treacherous waters because I do not, in fact, know how to pilot this boat. At least not comfortably. And I am also crashing us into everything that's blue (which is a lot) and jamming the A button repeatedly. Because the Vivia Bauble "Floating Peacefully" is definitely talking about this place.

We are slowly and clunkily making our way to our destination while slamming into objects on purpose and jerking around wildly. These are not 'You are so amazing, I love your boating skills!" conditions.

That's not the same safe. Though she couldn't open it, Kurumi confirmed that the Resistance safe is still in their command center. But we sure do recognize that design, don't we?

...hey. Uh. Amaterasu? The fuck are your safes made of, that allows them to float? Cardboard? That thing's supposed to be thick, heavy steel. It should sink like a rock.

That's super interesting, now that you mention it. The flooding seems to be coming from the hydro-electric plant but it's not interfering with the plant's ability to generate electricity and power the city. The central hydro-electric mechanisms seem to still be functioning despite the flood.

More ghost trick notes! This is chapters 13-15 I think.

We’ve seen this puzzle before.

Hey! That’s not the minister’s daughter!

So Lynne took in Joud’s daugher because he saved her life. That was nice of her.

Oh SHIT. That’s what really happened. This reminds me of that one case I think Simon and Athena are a part of in the Apollo Justice game? I never played it I just know the characters from that one ace attorney comic.

She calls him SISSY?! An unfortunate nickname if I ever saw one.

Is this blue lady is a spirit medium? She knows Sissel is there.

Oh Lynne is grilling cabanera now. Cut into him!

I really wish that this game had the character names on their speech bubbles like ace attorney does. I’m having a hard time keeping track of all their names.

Someone spun the Cupid around…..there’s only one character we know that can do that….unless….there is another ghost! And it had it in for Detective Joud’s Family! but who and why? The plot thickens….

OH SHIT THE GUN WAS IN THE MUSIC BOX THAT IS CURRENTLY MISSING?! Why would detective Joud think it would be useful to Sissel? At the time this happened, he was still alive.

Do it before the statute of limitations runs out, do it before the wrong person is executed…

The justice minister’s wife definitely writes smut. Ether that or the kid is too young for romance novels. I guess it could be taken either way.

He figured it out!

A manipulator? Like another ghost? Or someone who manipulates hearts? I think it’s the second one, because they sound like change of heart cases. Where someone goes to do a thing, and then they end up doing a different thing. Like confessing their sins. Or in the case of one of the prisoners, the government’s sins.

Not of their own volition huh? If Sissel can manipulate objects, is there a ghost out there that can full on possess other people?

The minister too?!

“The memory doesn’t clearly remain”, huh. Just like when Lynne shot Sissel. She doesn’t remember doing it, but there it is, on the camera. That means she probably didn’t mean to shoot him, but we still don’t know what he said to her.

If different ghosts get different ghost tricks, what can the lamp do? Besides give unclear answers to questions.

Where are you going inspector!? Get back here and talk to Sissel!

The good doggo boi returns!

So Joud didn’t actually kill that guy, he was struck by a meteorite the exact same moment that Joud pulled the trigger but it didn’t fire? (Because in the memory it didn’t fire. There was a second shot after that that was the meteroite)

yep that’s exactly what happened.

The man in the park. Who was a captured criminal who escaped. Who kidnapped Lynne and got hit by a meteorite. WAS SISSEL?! He didn’t die after being hit with the meteorite? HE LIVED ANOTHER 10 YEARS DOING CRIMAL DEALS WITH SHADY BLUE PEOPLE AND ONLY DIED WHEN HE WAS SHOT BY LYNNE?

He was a bad guy?

And his name isn’t SISSEL?!

Who is the “me” you have been chasing all night indeed? What kind of criminal was he, and what was is real name?

Also the meteorite has the same kind of effect that Sissel’s body had in the beginning of the game.

WHAT THERE IS TWO OF HIM?! AND HE KILLED THE INSPECTOR? HE HAS AN IDENTICAL TWIN?!

What the fuck is going on?! I am so fucking confused.

This other “Sissel” was indeed killed by the meteorite, then went to possess the gun in the house to kill Joud’s wife, and possibly all the other things? But how does this ghost have a body? How did it not disappear and spend ten years plotting revenge with a foreign government? What kind of criminal was he? Is he the one who can possess bodies and killed the other “Him” who we know as the main character? THE FUCK?! The body is just a PUPPET?!

HE’S THE ONE WHO SAID TO WIPE OUT EVERYONE RELATED TO TEMSIK, WHY LYNNE DIED THE FIRST TIME.

ITS NOT SILLY DW!!! mysims is a series of games that were made for the wii and ds, and they r so so so important to me bc they were a huge part of my childhood <33 i even have ocs for each one bc they r everything to me. i’ll explain each one quickly under the cut :]

OKAY SO. there’s six games in total: the original is just called mysims, and then there’s mysims kingdom, agents, skyheroes, racing, and party <3

original mysims is an animal crossing kind of deal!! your character (customisable w both name and appearance) is what’s called an essence user - essentially someone who can use various elements around the world in order to build and create things. you’re called by mayor rosalyn to rebuild a town that was abandoned by its previous essence user and is now mostly deserted. the gameplay consists of moving sims in, and completing tasks for them where they ask you to build them things for their homes!! each sim belongs to a different interest group, like the personality groups in ac: there’s fun, cute, spooky, tasty, studious, and geeky. the type of sims you move in will affect what things they ask for (as in, cute sims will ask for things made with cute essences as opposed to spooky ones)

kingdom is similar to the original in that you’re completing tasks for people!! it’s a little more story based though: your character, a pig herder, is encouraged by your friends to apply to be the kingdom’s wandolier, which is pretty much the same concept as an essence user except this time you get a sick ass wand to go with it 💪 when you win the competition, you and your friends are asked by the king to go to island to island and improve morale around the kingdom, helping people with their problems and building things that they need. there’s also a few collection quests which i really like!! throughout the game you’re asked by various characters to collect figurines, flowers, fish, and pieces of armour! my second fave game of the series :]

AGENTS IS MY LOVE ITS MY COMFORT GAME OF ALL TIME. your character is a detective who longs for a real mystery to solve, and you get the chance when you’re hired as a special agent. one of the girl cases you get is from a woman named evelyn, whose house has been broken into. as you investigate and figure out what was taken, you realise it relates to a man from the first case you solved - when a man named morcubus attempted to steal a girl’s dog, and you proved the dog wasn’t his. through your cases you travel to various places (snowy mountains, industrial city, dinner party in a gothic mansion) and try to discover what morcubus is planning and how evelyn is connected to him. it’s my fave one of the series if you can’t tell 🫶

skyheroes is a piloting/shooter game where your character is found by a rebel group after crashing on a beach and developing amnesia! you join the group that saved you and learn they’re fighting a war against morcubus (he’s everywhere honestly) since he’s taken control of the skies and is now restricting people’s travel and trading. throughout the story you have to get other pilot groups to join your cause and rally against morcubus, while trying to find out who you were, what memories you lost, and how you came to be shot from the sky and crashed on the beach. i rlly love this one but i am yet to fully get through it bc despite enjoying it immensely i suck absolute dick at it

racing is. well. a racing game. it’s similar to simpsons hit and run in a way, with the missions being to drive around collecting things or racing against npcs. the plot is that your character is an aspiring racer, and is learning to properly race in a town called speedville (yeah) which is mostly abandoned since the previous star racer mysteriously left. you enter the championships and begin living your dream as a racer, but are soon met with morcubus (i’m telling you. everywhere) who’s trying to overtake speedville in order to use it for his own company and is attempting to stop you from winning any races so you can’t give speedville its glory back

party is kind of a mario party vibe!! it again begins with having to rebuild a rundown town, but this time you do it through entering festivals and winning at the minigames :] <- going to b real i do not have too much to say abt this one. there’s a character called mc emi who is my best friend ever tho
