Lmao I just saw this. I don't get what's wrong with her voice, then again I grew up surrounded by this accent specifically in my neighborhood. When people find out the neighborhood from Toronto I'm from I've been told by multiple people "Wow you don't sound like it at all!" because I don't have this girls accent. i have been waiting in the emergency room for over 5 hours to get a quick and simple follow-up xray for my lung infection from last month because i don't have a family doctor and i can't get one, and because the hospital staff are overworked and understaffed for dealing with so many other people like me who don't have family doctors either.

sure, i don't have to pay to be here, and that does really help—but that's not what "utopia" means. being a patient here still sucks, just not financially.

Cannot stress enough how drunk Canadian beginning as a country was. Charlottetown Conference had the booze budget of 200k in modern money. Most of it was spent of champagne. No one kept official minutes, so historians still don't know what went down. The circus was in town for the first time in twenty years so all the locals ditched their jobs at the conference to go to it and the delegates were left alone and drunk and went ah hell, let's form a union and do an independence.
