perhaps unpopular but while I do agree the EXU interlude likely killed some of the momentum, I also...don't mind that the party didn't talk much this episode? I feel like the start of the episode created an opening that not everyone took, though we did have some good moments, but also, for all I adore episode 2x30 and 1x69 re: wake of a character's death, and i do think 3x92's first half was very strong, it feels very right and in-character that Ashton isn't ready to talk about it (and that Dorian isn't really talking yet either).

One of the things that I really love to see is the vastly different ways people characterize Nines 👀

It’s no secret I’m not well versed in Nines or Sixty or even really Gavin that much—basically I’ve got Hankcon brainrot and it’s hard to focus on much else except a bit of Rk1k (cause the narrative themes of that relationship are always incredible) and Markus/Simon (it’s just sweet, I love it)

So all that being said, I don’t have a preferred way to see people make content/art for him. Which makes interacting with said content so much more fun ???

Like oh he’s a nervous wreck who would rather shutdown than break even a little rule? Love that. He’s a cold, stoic hard ass and vaguely intimidating? Love that too. He’s straight up evil? That’s fun. He’s secretly a big softie and is very curious about life? That makes my heart warm

I have the same feelings about Gavin and Sixty, but Nines is the one I see with definitely the most range.

I love you people who make Nines content, please keep doing it, and don’t let anyone tell you your interpretation of him is “wrong” because 1) he was in the game for like 3 seconds and 2) it’s literally just a video game—you can change a well established character’s personality if you want. I’m feeling quite sad about how much the active bts fandom on tumblr has shrunk and/ or how selective the community has become regarding content interaction. I’ve heard people pointing out a clique-building here lately, and while I’m well aware of closer mutual circles existing – and I can only speak on behalf of my friend group here – these pretty much develop naturally when there’s just no one else who reacts, reblogs from and talks to you anymore except for these handful of people. I don’t like that some people perceive these “cliques” as “exclusive”, for example to content creators only. that’s bullshit; it’s certainly not great to have only other cc’s support your work because they personally know how much time and effort it takes. also, knowing how lovely most of these people are, you’d get immediately followed back and showered with love too as soon as you’d even show a speckle of kindness on a regular basis, regardless of whether you make gifs yourself or not. ccs dedicating sets to each other isn’t a sign of exclusivity, but rather us holding onto and appreciating people who still give us at least some motivation to create and post in the first place anymore, because there’s quite literally no one else left by now.

Interrupting the usual tournament posting to say that I finally started to consume the first of all of the media I wanted to consume as a result of seeing cool swords in media from last time, in that I started Dark Souls 3 this month

Despite the fact that I usually hate slow games and also quit very easily when a game gets too hard I'm enjoying this one a lot. Mechanically and format-wise it's very similar to Tunic (great indie game you should play it) so I kinda figured I'd like it, and yeah. It's like tunic just you gotta be slightly more patient. And it's less colorful. and there's a million stats and items and stuff lol

I'm currently trying to grind out mr pontiff sulyvahn who is actually the first boss who's taken me more than 5 tries to beat if you can believe that. But I've still spent more time grinding out tunic bosses so I'm not that worried

Sulyvahn's swords are very baller and I wish I could submit them to my own tournament :( I haven't gotten to use any cool swords myself though. At my brother's recommendation I've been using a dex build and fortunately or unfortunately for me I got the 2% lothric knight sword drop first try, and with a sharp gem that's an A grade dex scaling so this is kind of my best weapon for the whole game I guess? Which is cool but also kind of sad because it's about as basic as swords come

But hey seeing bosses use cool swords is good enough for me

for all my grievances with tangled the series, one thing i cannot criticize them for is their songs, i mean, sure, not all of them make sense in context (let me make you proud comes to mind), the songs are spectacular, from the vocals to the instrumental, all of them are a joy to listen to, whether they are just incredibly goofy, like the buddy song, to heartbreaking, like waiting in the wings, whether its a solo, a duet or a group, they are wonderful to listen to
