A few Daring Charming HCs <3
Growing up, anytime he expressed interest in anything considered girly, his father would lecture him on how he needs to be more manly or whatever
For example, He did like rom-coms, and he would sometimes watch them with darling, but got a lecture and told to ‘spend his time on something more befitting of a man’ when he was caught
Since his father considered the guitar a manly instrument, He started learning to play when he was young to impress him
his dad was impressed. And that made daring happier than anything. That’s when he realized he would do anything to earn his fathers approval. So, he worked hard at it, changing things about himself to live up to his fathers standards.
he did, of course, succeed in this goal, but in the process took on many of his fathers flaws, such as his arrogance and sexist ideals
Now at eah, he’s slowly realizing that his father is capable of being in the wrong. He can embrace all the things he likes and still be a man. He can express his emotions and still be a man. He’s realizing his life should not revolve around earning his dads approval, that he needs to become his own person.

anyway, he really showed his growth when he finally stood up to his dad for how he treats dexter, and defended darling for everything going on with her and apple.
why am I trying to write a whole character arc rn um anyways
With cerise and darling, he learned that women can be more than just “damsels in distress”.
with Lizzie and Dexter, he learned to put others ahead of himself.
now he can admit he hates the guitar. He loves romance movies, Katy perry, shopping, theatre and acting. he even likes to wear pink sometimes. hes still finding out what he likes and doesnt like without his fathers influence
he LOVES sweet drinks. if hes at a bar hes getting a daiquiri. if hes at a cafe its a frappuccino.
when hes getting drinks with lizzie, the waiter always assumes the fruity/sweet drink goes to lizzie
sparrow makes so much fun of him for it
he doesnt like cerise like that anymore, but they are great friends now. they mostly bond over sports and movies
he excels at history and literature, but has trouble in science and math. apple tutors him.
their tutoring sessions can be really awkward, though. they dont really know how to talk to each other normally.
he never really had a crush on her at any time, but he has always very much admired her for her hard work and intellect.
hes extremely chivalrous and polite. he always holds the door open for people, always offers his seat to someone if theyre all full, never looks at his phone during a date. things like that
hes always over-dressed, no matter the occasion
probably spends at least a third of his time in the gym flexing and taking pictures in the mirror

he only auditioned for a play for the first time in order to spend more time with lizzie, who got dragged into playing a part. they both ended up loving it.
i am retconning the whole thing with duchess in the books. never happened.
the actual reason daring and lizzie broke up was because daring felt guilty about the bet with sparrow, so he confessed to her. which ended in lizzie yelling at him for half an hour and dumping him
they missed each other SO much. daring basically tried to apologize to her almost every day, and after some months lizzie decided to give him another chance. he absolutely did not waste that chance.
he plays fortnite with dexter and darling once a week
as a kid he used to climb trees with darling all the time. they got caught and lectured on it pretty often
has been to jail for going 50 over the speed limit before. dexter and darling had to bail him out
once dexter and darling tried to prank daring by filling his entire room with merch of himself
it completely backfired bc daring loved it and kept most of it where it was
hes definitely one of those boys who says "im him" about any ryan gosling character and says ryan reynolds is hot

The most annoying characters in eah
This is not my opinion this is genuine fact. I don’t mean that in a joking way.
Apple White: this is obvious. I mean she forced destiny on to people, then has character development then has a fucking To Coda or whatever and goes onto the same bs she started on.
Holly O’Hair: in the show she was cool. I don’t mean that as in ‘I like her’ or ‘she has a cool design’ like genuinely, she was cool as fuck, which the other characters thought as well. But in the books… I 100% that either everyone found her extremely annoying or she was on the spectrum (WHICH COULD HAVE BEEN SUCH COOL REPRESENTATION IF DONE CORRECTLY). Like her whole personality was ‘I’m a ✨wrITer✨. I don’t feel that fact checking rn (what im about to say is right just aren’t examples drawn from the book) but she would randomly use words like serendipity and indubitably. And also someone asked POPPY how she got into being a hairdresser and Holly started telling Poppy’s life story. AND IT WAS LIKE A WHOLE CHAPTER LONG OF HOLLY JUST SAYING NOTHING.
Ginger Breadhouse: same thing with Holly. Fine in the series but in the books… okay actually she’s not that bad. But she was lowkey a pick me. Just her internal monologue. I just didn’t like how 13 year old girl she was over hopper. She made such a big deal for what. Anyways the part of kiss and spell where ginger kisses hopper and she’s his true love but everyone thinks it’s briar… stupid af. Lowkey briar x ginger.
Sparrow Hood: I mean this is literally canon. I would find some random redhead constantly screeching with an electric guitar that somehow always has an amplifier annoying too.
Courtley Jester: her voice alone is annoying
Justine Dancer: what do you mean to tell me ‘Justine Dancer, the youngest of the twelve dancing sisters […] But who does not yet know her fairytale destiny.’ (Moonlight Mystery). My girl be lacking braincells. Especially since she’s a double Royal people would be so sick of her wondering her destiny. Hmm you have 11 older sisters and your mom was a dancing princess… I wonder what your destiny could possibly be.
Meeshell Mermaid: again with the inner monologue. ‘In sea we all sing beautiful choir together and everyone’s voice is equally beautiful, except for Coral that’s why she’s the sea witch 🎀🐠. But fsr on land my voice is the most beautiful ever’ and don’t forget the ‘no headmaster Grimm I don’t want any Accommodations for being a mermaid because ppl will treat me differently *cutely forgets that’s there’s literally fairies, witch, ogres, giants at eah and she’s nothing special* so because I’m don’t excepting any accommodations people are treating me weird because I need accommodations to fit in’. Also her singing is shit.

it’s my turn on today’s general healer spiral 😤 thinking about that first esme assassination and camille choosing to put all of the damage onto caelus, thinking about cerise being at three hp but cami choosing to gamble on throwing up spirit guardians instead. thinking about hayden who attacks and attacks and mostly Only heals with a healing word once someone is down
#it’s the 20 wis having to Make Choices but also the 18 year old orphan who doesn’t KNOW that many spells of it all#because like. if cerise hadn’t subtle spell counterspelled that other oubliette and it WAS blight?? cerise fully would have died#but cami doesn’t know that!! she doesn’t really Know much about how one high level spell can permakill you in one go#bc the deaths so far have been... relatively normal? or at least it’s like. falling 200 ft or ppl getting assassinated not high level magic#the dragon being the main exception#but it just! the three hp in particular makes me insane bc it’s partially me making taking that gamble ooc but for cami.#it’s deciding again that it’s better to kill them before they kill you and then heal afterwards. healing in the aftermath instead in combat#which is partially because! the statuette takes care of some of that for her!! it’s trusting her resources trusting the others to use them#something on you allowing others to heal so you can focus on attacking... man. man!#whereas hayden is like. they’re a healer but they’ve HURT party members with their spells#that fucking fireball in the last combat.... saving our asses but having to hurt people first in the process.#when they do heal it’s popping people up for just enough. just enough that we keep fighting#but also with that new extra d8 and the fact that i have healing spirit now.... it changes things!#cami is about buffing before fights and healing after but healing mid combat as needed (see earlier combats and the wall rn)#hayden is VERY much like. heal as you need. only what you must to stay up and stay alive#however i DO think the new hayden power move is to action wildshape and ba healing spirit so it’s there when we need it#which is very fun! even now they’re still a healer only out of necessity and somewhat out of this bitter protectiveness#but not like. K y'all, i finally did it. I've gone through every episode Duchess was in and have made the chart!
I'm going to start with the smallest section which is students taller then her, and it's literally just tiny .
The second smallest section is the in between which is just those who I'm not too sure about. wether it's they've never been in close enough proximity to her that i could tell if they were shorter or taller then her or just i wasn't able to tell. Them being; Daring and Darling Charming, Cerise Hood, Humphrey Dumpty, Chase Redford, Sparrow Hood, and Ramona Badwolf.
And now the last section, Students shorter then Duchess Swan. @paradise-creator would hang out with Xingqiu and Chongyun as the 'golden trio' of Liyue aka Xingqiu and co. shenanigans. In Mondstadt, you'd probably overwork with Jean smh, Barbara is done with y'all. She's this close👌 to dragging you two out to have fun
@taqoyaqui-chan would hang out with Xiangling, Hu Tao and Yanfei in Liyue. Is every single one of them a threat waiting to happen? Maybe. No resident is safe, not even old peepaw archon. In Mondstadt, Amber, Razor and Bennett. Suddenly the gremlin energy is gone and it's wholesome adventure gang.
@pluvioseprince would chill with Ganyu in Liyue. Just two awkward sweethearts being wholesome together and appreciating the other for being amazing. Sometimes Keqing drops by to take both of you shopping (having y'all there gives her an excuse to get more stuff for you too, let her). In Mondstadt, it's Albedo, Klee, and Kaeya. High gremlin family energy. Only one person has the braincell at any one point in time. (Might also hang out with Eula just to spoil her)
@cerise-jolie-jennie spends time with Zhongli, Xiao, and Hu Tao (sometimes Childe crashes). It's hard to tell what the group energy is because everyone's lowkey questionable and yet it all works out so well. In Mondstadt, Jean, Lisa, Diluc. Four besties, two of which don't know how to have fun cough Jean and Diluc cough so it's up to the other two to start shit.
@aki-galaxy would be around Xiangling, Childe, or Xingqiu. All to varying degrees of gremlin. It's always a boat load of fun...for you at least. The citizens of Liyue beg to differ. In Mondstadt, there's Klee, Amber, Kaeya and Venti. Anyone called for a little mayhem? Chaotic lawful 1000
@discountkiyoko would be with Xinyan, Zhongli, and Qiqi. A LITTLE OFF TANGENT BUT LIKE, IMAGINE XINYAN AND YOU DOING CONCERTS IN LIYUE. (Please TwT, I'm trying not to get too hyped over this thought because I'm on public transport rn but the thought-). You have tea with Zhongli and Qiqi, sampling all sorts of treats and desserts. Peepaw and his two adopted kiddos. WAIT, NO TEA TREATS WITH EULA AND AMBER IN MONDSTADT TOO HKFKEKG I CAN'T

My Thoughts on Apple White :
since i was pretty young, i've always been obsessed and feel pity towards characters who are misunderstood or is usually everyone's least favourite. not the ones that are completely annoying or evil for no reason tho, which is why i've always been an apple white stan from the beginning. i understand the way she thinks and dislike raven because i was quite biased. as an apple stan, i see raven as just annoying, but on the other hand, a lot of people find apple as cruel and selfish when that is not the case.
in order to know about her more, we need to obviously learn more about her childhood. there isn't really a book about her background so the only information about her childhood that i can find is just based on predictions from The Dragon Games Special. from there we learn that apple has been groomed to be this picture perfect princess ever since she was incredibly young and has basically been thought (/brain washed) that she is the main character that will get her happy ending just like her mother, and that she must ensure that it will remain the same. born spoiled and controlled by her power hungry + strict mom, we find out that apple has only been able to succeed this much as a princess because of nepotism, royals status, and her destiny, all the way from her popularity (which is controlled by her mom as well), admirers, and even friends.
unlike raven who was born as an outcast meaning that she is woke about the whole unjustice system + wants to change her destiny, apple was born into a perfect life that everybody wants. including raven who in a way is jealous ofc which is why she encourages a large number of students who are outcasts as well to become rebels. it honestly makes perfect sense to me on why apple begged raven to stop it and to just follow her destiny, because hers is already perfect. raven envies apple's destiny and thinks its unfair that she has to be the villain while apple gets a lovely ending, which is true and makes totally perfect sense. so obviously it makes sense that apple wants to keep hers as well. they're both just two sides of the same coin wanting the exact same happily ever after, the difference is just that apple's will be handed over to her and all she needs to do at the moment is to just wait and prepare for it while raven is stuck playing the villain role.
a lot of people mention that they're reason of dislike towards apple is because she is selfish and privilleged, which is half true. yes she is born privilleged, but even tho she got it all through nepotism, she still needed to work hard in order to maintain the position that she was already given. unlike characters like ashlyn ella or briar beauty, apple takes full advantage of her popularity and works hard to maintain it. people will especially judge you a lot and will find mistakes in order to take you down because of it, so its important that apple herself to work hard in order to keep her position. i'm sorry but do you really think that being kind, sweet, and friendly 24/7 is easy? like even if she has a bad day she'll still have to put on a smile or people will judge her. other than that she's constantly pressured and is under observation by not only her mom, but her people and by other students as well. there's one thing in getting things easily, but keeping it is a whole different thing. i truely admire apple for always being able to put up a smile for everyone even when she's feeling sad and i honestly relate to her a lot. unlike raven, she can't just explode or get angry at someone. more than that, she can't really tell others how she truely feels since it's probably against her mother's teaching or smth. you can clearly tell that apple doesn't really like the way she got her position and is actually woke about the nepotism she receives because sometimes she feels like she doesn't deserve it, as i've mentioned before, apple's success (or at least the beginning of it) is all because of nepotism. the reason she is the most respected princess is because of her mom's legacy. which is why she tries so hard to be the best at everything, to prove to the people and her mom that she deserves to be in the position that she is rn and will do anything in order to keep it.
what's also sad is that while she's expected to be this perfect future ruler, people only expect certain things from her at the same time. like she's only expected to be this porcelain doll, to please men, be a good and fair ruler for her subjects, to be a role model for young girls, and to smile next to her prince (who she actually barely knows). thats it. people only praise her for her beauty and charm. the world of EAH is surprisingly set to be a not so misogynistic world. despite that, the few people who suffer from it (based from my observations) are cerise, darling, lizzie, and apple. if you pay attention, despite the many other accomplishments apple has, no one really praises her for her grades, work in other fields that doesn't involve charity, and her brilliance. she's usually only praised for her beauty and i feel like she gets sick of it at times as well. the only reason daring even stuck with her is because she's his supposed destiny and beauty, vice versa.
other than that, i also feel like apple's depressed and has anxiety at times but is just really good at hiding it since she was probably told to do so from a young age and i pity her for it. i feel so bad for her, and when raven didn't want to follow her destiny, imagine how she felt. her heart probably shattered because of it since it means that everything she has been given, dreamed, and worked hard for will all go to waste. which was why she tried so hard to get raven back to follow her destiny.
im happy that in the end she doesn't really push her too much tho since she sees raven as a true friend. it must honestly suck for her that raven is the only one who sees her as a regular person (even tho she sometimes raven explodes as well and thinks that apple doesn't have feelings of empathy). when apple said something like "no you're the one who's being selfish raven", i feel like its true. apple honestly doesn't only think of herself, but for others as well. in her story alone, everyone else will get their happy ending except for raven. it works like this in many other stories as well. it's said that if raven doesn't follow her destiny as the evil queen then everyone else in snow white's story (who are all set to receive a happy ending) will all 'cease to exist'. if she does that, many people who aren't happy about their ending will do the same as well, leaving a large percantage of people 'ceasing to exist' as well or at least won't get their happy ending. in my opinion, apple is just looking at the larger scale, and from a neutral side, apple's reason makes the most sense towards me. raven was selfish, but then she has her reasons so whatevs. my point of making this post is to stop apple white haters and for them to look at the bigger picture, or at least from my pov as an apple stan. that is all thank you <3

As a child my favourite colour was red! I loved it for some reason. And later I added black to the list, red and black were my favourite colours!
This was very heavily influenced by my ever after high phase and cerise hood being my favourite character in it! I was fascinated by Cerise honestly. For context shes the daughter of red riding hood and the wolf, so she’s half human half wolf. She has wolf ears and constantly wears a hood to hide it bc she has to hide thats she’s half wolf from everybody.
I really related to her constantly hiding an aspect of her identity and being scared of how her friends would react and how did it take me this long to realise I’m queer. Anyways-
My favourite colour now is probably blue or yellow! I loved blue since I was like ten and still do but now I’m really starting to love yellow. It’s cheerful. Gives me hope.
18. what is something you can’t bring yourself to get rid of?
Hmm I don’t know honestly, there’s a lot of things I can’t bring myself to get rid of, but I’ll go with two things I can think of rn.
First off, an old shard of a broken wine glass.
I was on a trip to Switzerland and I was a kid and at the base of a mountain, I went up a little bit and saw something glimmering in the snow, and, fascinated, I picked it up and saw what child me thought was an emerald. I took it home with me and washed it and locked it up in a little black box I keep things that I want to remember and are special to me, and to this day it’s locked up in that little black box in my closet.
I keep it because it reminds me of when things were better. When I was innocent enough to think broken glass was emeralds. As I grew older I realised it wasn’t the glorious jewel I thought it was but a broken wine glass probably thrown on the mountain and that’s really what happened as I grew older. Jewels turn to broken glass. A mirror shatters.
It’s still there, locked up in the box. I look at it sometimes.
Second, a necklace.
It’s a silver necklace with tiny metal beads along the string, and dangling from the necklace is half of a broken metal heart. It’s rusted, now, and the word is barely readable, but if you look at it closely you can see the word “best” engraved on it in black.
My best friend bought this necklace for me in second grade. The two of us were best friends throughout 1st-4th grade—she was the popular pretty kid everyone liked and I was the nerd everyone made fun of.
I was desperate to be her friend and be included in her play dates, etc, so when she bought me the necklace in second grade I was absolutely ecstatic.
She had an identical necklace, except the half was reversed, and her half of the heart had “friends” on it.
She was my friend, yeah, but she left me out of play dates and talked to me about them later. She made fun of me when others were there and pretended to be my friend when we were alone. She was my friend, I guess. Not really.
After fourth grade I left that school and I never talked to her again. She had made friends with another girl and the two of theme made fun of me and ignored me constantly.
I left behind our friendship but I can’t bring myself to throw out the necklace. Something about it just reminds me of childhood. Past friendships. Emotions I will never experiences again, places I haven’t been to in years.

what makes you feel warm inside? hearing other people laugh and joke and being close together is a big one - its a big part of what drew me into the mcelroy family of products and is one of the reasons i love being social - just gmme a small group to be around enjoying each others company and i am there. also when my cats give me the headbutt of love.
