I read your idea for genderbent stavos and idk when you posted it but I just realized that f!serra would have been betrothed to rhaegar. imagine being betrothed and having the shittiest marriage to a faithless prince and then you end up falling for a pirate smuggler who brought you and your starving brother onions and herring. that’s a great romance.
listen anon like.... at some point I'mma write genderbent stannis/davos just because the concept of f!stannis getting swept off her feet in a pirate smuggler romance is the best concept in existence and she deserves it in spades but GOOD LORD IF SHE WAS MARRIED TO R IT WOULD BE EVEN WORSE poor woman it would 100% be the greatest romance would end up in every light novel in westeros and I'm down with it

The real Sansa and Tyrion, additional notes:
Some practical backgrounds on the characters of my Reality show au that you guys didn't ask for but would still be cool to know if you're into character backstories Families: Starks: Owners of a Billionaire Textile business specializing in synthetic fur and other luxury fabrics, their founder was born in the North of England and their biggest factory/home base is also there. Lannisters: Old money, made their fortune in the oil business. Famous for their capitalist business practices Targaryen: very polemic superstar musician family dating back to the Industrial revolution era of music. Their hall of Fame is made up of mostly Rockstars and pop singers. Characters: Sansa: Fur empire heiress. Socialite with her own designer label. Famous for winning King's Landing Project runnaway. She won because the public either loved her intensely or hated her intensely. Nicknamed 'queen b(ch) of the North' by viewers of KL.Project Runnaway Tyrion: founder of a fortune 500 Publicity firm. Famous for handling all of Deanerys Targaryen's PR. He's the black sheep of the Lannister family who refused to go into the oil business. Jamie: Tyrion's brother B List Netflix Actor who's already tried modeling, starting a music career, writing a book (check out 'My life as Jamie Lannister' in a bookstore near you) and is basically always trying to find himself. He's also got a law degree he never uses. But yeah he's technically allowed to practice law if he wanted Brienne: Olympic swimmer from an little known island in the states. Was a finalist in 'dancing with the stars' along with famous ballroom dancer 'Goodwin Tzarcowsky', went to a elite college on a sports scholarship and ended up in the same sorority as Sansa and Margaery. Currently she works with the Starks (Catelyn) as personal trainer. Arya: Rebel heiress to the Stark empire. Kickboxing champion and women's rights advocate. Currently studying to be a public defender. Went to a private boarding school rumored to be a front for spy operatives. And is actually banned from entering Portugal, Istanbul and Bahamas, tho nobody knows why. Gendry: Totally normal guy. Struggling artist who makes art that looks like weapons but is actually art (maybe?) But probably could kill a man. Used to be a waiter in Arya's favorite restaurant until Davos Seaworth headhunted him and now he's Davos assistant. (His hiring had nothing to do with Doctor Stannis Baratheon seeing Gendry on TV and ordering his boyfriend to give Gendry a decent job, Davos is simply one of the judges for Star Chef, he doesn't believe in bureocracy) Jon: Sansa's cousin, went to the same college as Sansa, Brienne and Margaery. He is currently signed with North Models, which is a modeling Agency under the Stark umbrella. Famous for being the hot shirtless guy of Night's guard Security commercials, and occasionally playing the northern guy in flannel in a few Hallmark movies,  he's also done a lot of ads for Stark Furs and will occasionally appear in Danny's music videos. Jon is currently the face of SansaDesigns menswear clothing line. Daenerys Targaryen: Jon's girlfriend, Her family is super famous and scandalous. She's always at the top of the music charts with songs inspired by people she knows or simply roasting haters with some sick tunes. She's still friends with ex husband Action Starlet Drogo 'the Khal' Dothraki, she has an asshole brother who will never be as good as her #BeatThatViserys. And her feud with Sansa started when SansaDesigns started putting a shirtless Jon in all sort of suggestive poses to sell more of Sansa's fur cloaks. Cersei: Tyrion's sister, old time movie star, currently the mean judge in 'Casterly's Got Talent' and 'So you think you can Act'. Her fans love to hate her. Her Hollywood marriage to film director Robert Baratheon has outlasted almost every other marriage of her generation despite his affairs. And produced  3 children. Robert: Cersei's husband, movie director and casting couch king. Friends with Sansa's dad, for who knows what reason and Also Gendry's deadbeat biological father. Robb: Sansa's 1st brother, business man, family pocketbook, doesn't like to be filmed. Ladies man, in the process of divorcing wife #2 Talisa Maegyr, soon to marry wife #3 Roslin Frey, aka: the one who got away (yes, wife #1 was Jeyne Westerling, but we don't talk about her)
Margaery: Rom Com Actress and Sansa's best friend #2 after Brienne. Went to to the same sorority as those two. Her family is old money and she's the only female Heiress to Tyrell perfumes. Homegirl has been known to date co-stars just for publicity and is the queen of product placement
Ned: Sansa's father, who was booted as the head of his own company thanks to some shady business between Cersei and Tywin that the Starks can't prove yet. He now lives the relaxed life of a retired househusband in the Stark estate in Winterfell England while Robb and Caitlyn handle the company. Ned mostly spends his time playing golf with Jon Arryn and Arthur Dayne. Occasionally annoying Tywin and dropping by unannounced in the lives of his children
Catelyn: Sansa's mother, CEO of Winterfell industries, starred in her own season of Undercover Boss and is currently being scouted by Westeros Productions to man up the revival of 'Boss Apprentice'. She used to be Ned's ornamental housewife until he abdicated his position in the company and now she's basically living her best life
Bran: Teenage influencer, recently graduated from highschool. Ages ago during a celebrity wedding he was forced to attend, he stumbled on Jamie and Cersei having a fight over who Joffrey's real father was. It had been raining, the ground was wet, Jamie and Cersei scared him and he slipped down a flight of stairs leaving him severely impaired in the legs for a year. It was an accident, Bran forgave Jamie, but Caitlyn did not.. Ever since then he decided life is too short so he posts everything he hears and sees in social media. And starts shit up just because he can.
Bronn: Tyrion's bodyguard. he has a million side hustles on the side and the camera crew likes to spend at least 10 min of each TRS&T episode following him around in his quest to make easy money and buy his dream mansion
Stannis: Supreme Court Judge, Gendry's uncle, who is embarrassed to admit he shares blood ties with Robert. Will appear on TV every once in a while on criminal justice programs as a guest speaker. His daughter Shireen is an influencer.
Tywin: Tyrion’s father, Oil magnate and terrible parent, has a habit of appearing on the news everytime he dodges a lawsuit for bad business practices and capitalist exploitations. His lawyers are very good. Owns his own film company and is constantly trying to bribe Jamie into working for him. Tyrion unionized all his actors some years ago and now he’s not allowed near LannisFilm
Currently known (to me) members of my TRS&T Production team: Varys Enoch: Co-Director from hell #1 ( I know I said he was a producer, sorry, that was a typo) Petyr Baelish: Co-Director from hell #2 Tycho Nestoris (that guy we never liked from the Iron Bank): Producer From hell Sandor Clegane: Filming crew director / favorite cameraman from hell Ros Harlow: head of hair and Makeup Olyvar: Makeup artist #1 Marei : Makeup artist #2 Daisy: Makeup artist #3

“Lady [y/n],” Tyrion said to you. “I trust you’ve been well?”
“As well as I can be.”
 “And Lady Sansa?”
“She is alive and well,” Jon said to him. You looked at Tyrion and you could see that he was relieved.
“Has she missed me terribly?”
Jon looked at him and when he didn’t say anything back, Tyrion glanced at him.
“A sham marriage and an unconsummated one,” Tyrion said.
 “I didn’t ask.”
“Well, it was. Anyways, she’s much smarter than she lets on.”
 “She’s starting to let on.”
“Good. At some point, I would love to hear how a Night’s Watch recruit became King in the North.”
“As long as you tell me how a Lannister became Hand to Daenerys Targaryen,” Jon quipped back.
 “A long and bloody tale.”
“Well that just means interesting, yes?” You interjected.
“To be honest, I was drunk for most of it, Tyrion said. You laughed.
 “Interesting indeed.”
“My bannermen did not want me coming here,” Jon said.
“If I was your Hand I would have advised against it. It’s a rule of thumb that Stark men don’t do well when they travel South.”
“True. But I’m not a Stark.” You went to smack your brother on the arm when you heard a roar. Jon grabbed you and pushed you down, covering your body with his. You felt the wind pushing you against the stone steps and when you looked up, a giant dragon was flying through the air.
“I’d say you get used to them, but you never really do,” Tyrion said as he helped you from the ground.
“Seven Hells, that’s an actual Dragon,” you said to yourself. Two more appeared in the sky and your mouth fell open.
“Come, their mother is waiting for you.”
 ---
The rest of the walk up to the castle was uneventful. No more words were said from you or your brother. The castle was magnificent inside and out and when you reached the Throne Room, two heavy doors were opened by Dothraki men with ease.
The room was impressive. There were carvings all along the floors and the walls. The ceiling was high and your footsteps echoed. There were steps leading up to the Throne. The Throne was made of stone and it spanned several feet. A woman was sitting on it, and you knew it was the Targaryen.
“You stand in the presence of Daenerys Stormborn of House Targaryen. Rightful heir to the Iron Throne, rightful Queen of the Andals and the First Men. Protector of the Seven Kingdoms. The mother of Dragons. The Khaleesi of the Great Grass Sea. The unburnt, the breaker of chains,” Missandei said.
“This is Jon Snow,” Davos said after a moment. “He’s King in the North.”
That declaration sounded weak after all the titles Missandei spewed. You felt the need to laugh, but shoved it down.
“Thank you for traveling so far, my lord,” the queen said. “I hope the seas weren’t too rough.”
“The winds were kind, your Grace.”
“Apologies. I have a Fleabottom accent, I know, but Jon Snow is King in the North. He’s not a lord,” Ser Davos said.
“Forgive me,” Daenerys started before Tyrion interrupted her.
“Your Grace this is Ser Davos Seaworth.”
“Forgive me, Ser Davos. I never did receive a formal education. But I could have sworn I read that the last King in the North was Tauren Stark, who bent the knee to my ancestor Aegon Targaryen, in exchange for his life and the lives of the Northmen. He swore his loyalty to House Targaryen in perpetuity. Or do I have my facts wrong?”
“I wasn’t there, your Grace,” Davos said.
“No, of course not. But still, an oath is an oath. So I assume, my lord, you are here to bend the knee.”
“I am not,” Jon said. You stood a little straighter and looked at Daenerys.
“No. Well that is unfortunate. The world hadn’t seen a dragon in centuries until my children were born,” she said. She got up out of the Throne and approached the three of you. “The Dothraki hadn’t crossed the sea, any sea, but they did for me. I was born to rule the Seven Kingdom’s and I will.”
“You’ll be ruling over a graveyard if we don’t defeat the Night King,” Jon said.
“The war against my sister has already begun. You can’t expect us to halt hostilities and aid you in fighting whatever you saw beyond the Wall,” Tyrion said. You took a step forward.
“You don’t believe him. I understand that, it sounds like nonsense. But if destiny has brought Daenerys Targaryen back to our shores, it has also made Jon Snow King in the North,” you said.
“You were the first to bring Dothraki to Westeros, he was the first to make allies of Wildlings and North men. He was named Lord Commander of the Night’s Watch, he was named King in the North. Not because of his birthright, he has none. He’s a bastard. All those hard sons of bitches chose him as their leader, because they believe in him,” Davos chimed in. “All those things you don’t believe in, he faced those things. He fought those things.”
“If we don’t put aside our enmities and bound together, we will die. And then it won’t matter whose skeleton sits on the Iron Throne,” you finished.
“If it doesn’t matter, you might as well kneel,” Tyrion said. You could hear the plea in his voice. “Swear your allegiance to Queen Daenerys, help her defeat my sister and together our armies will protect the North.”
“There’s no time for that,” you said. Daenerys looked at you
“There’s no time for any of that,” Jon said.
“It takes no time to bend the knee. Pledge your sword to her cause.”
“And why would I do that? I mean no offense, your Grace, but I don’t know you. As far as I can tell your claim to the throne rests entirely on your father’s name and my own father fought to overthrow the Mad King. The Lords in the North place their trust in me to lead them. And I will continue to do so as well as I can.”
“That’s fair,” she said. “It’s also fair to point out that I’m the rightful Queen to the Seven Kingdom’s. By declaring yourself King of the Northern-most kingdom, you are an open rebellion.”
You went rigid and saw Jon be the same. You were about to open your mouth when footsteps echoed through the hall. Turning, you saw Lord Varys. He walked right by you and whispered something into Daenerys’ ear.
“You must forgive my manners. You must be tired after your long journey. We’ll have baths drawn for you and supper sent to your rooms.” She turned to one of the Dothraki men and spoke to him in his language.
“Am I your prisoner?” Jon said. Daenerys turned around.
“Not yet.” Was all she said before walking away. The three of you were led out of the room by the Dothraki man, the doors to the Throne Room closing behind you.
 ---
“Who was that girl?” Daenerys asked Tyrion.
“That was Lady [y/n] Stark. Older sister to Jon Snow.”
 “They don’t trust me.”
“The people of the North have never been ones to trust easily, even more so now.”
“And what do you think of them?”
 “I think they’re good people.”
“Do you think they will bend the knee?”
 “That I do not know.”

Lost dragon ch.14
Tumblr media
Episode- 7x03
Warning- none
Pairing- Podrick Payne
-
The wind is hitting my face making my hair flow back. And the my cheeks turn a light shade of pink because cold wind. I hear the dragons in the back and someone approaching me from behind.
“A lot on your mind?” Daenerys ask me as she makes herself be known.
“Just a bit nervous thinking about the king in the north... do you think he’ll bend the knee? The north is important we can’t lose them and after everything that has happened with The Starks I don’t think it will be easy.” I bite the bottom of my lip. The north is big and important part of the seven kingdoms. We can’t lose them.
“He’ll bend the knee. The Starks have been faithful to house Targaryen for centuries they can’t break it now.”
“And if they do?” I turn to face her and she keeps looking at the sea.
“Then we’ll we show them with Fire and blood that it was a mistake.” She turns her to face me and the way she looks when she said that gives me chills. I know that I’ve told her that I would be her side and that we’ll show our enemies what house Targaryens words really mean. But this house is innocent and have not done anything to our family. I stay quiet for a minute not really knowing what to say to that.
“But enough of that why don’t we go for a ride and not think about all of that for now.” She tells me inturrpting me from my thoughts. She’s smiling at me and I return the smile but it doesn’t really reach my eyes.
-
The boat gets close to shore and the men hop off. Two of the men walk ahead. One looks older and the other one younger in appearance which who I imagine is the King in the north. Or as Tyrion said Jon Snow. He’s quite handsome but not like how people describe northern men. He’s really not that tall or that big.
“The Bastard of winterfell.” Tyrion’s greets him with sarcasm.
“The dwarf of castly rock.” He responds with the same sarcasm.
“I believe we last saw eachother at the top of the wall.” Tyrion says while giving him with a handshake.
“You were pissing off the edge if I remember right. Picked up some scars along the rode.” Lord snow responds.
“Been a long rode but we’re both still here.” Tyrion turns to look at me and then back at Jon finally acknowledging other people were here.
“This is Visenya of house Targaryen.” Tyrion says introducing me. Lord snow extends his hand out and I shake it with a welcoming a smile. The man next to him shakes my hand as well.
“Ser Davos seaworth.” He says introducing himself. “This right here is the King In the North Jon Snow.”
“So nice to meet you both welcome to Dragonstone.” I tell them.
“Tyrion Lannister.” Tyrionsays introducing himself to Ser Davos.
“Ser Davos seasworth.”
“Ah the onion knight, we fought on opposite sides on the battle of Blackwater Bay.”
“Unluckily for me.”
I take a step to the side and Introduce Missandei.
“Missandei is the Queens most trusted advisor.” She nods and smiles In response.
“Our queen knows it is a long journey she appreciates the effort you have made on her behalf.” Missandei tells them.
“If you wouldn’t mind turning over your weapons.” I tell them they look at one another looking a bit hesitant.
“Of course.” Lord snow responds I nod signaling the Dothraki to take their weapons. We then make our way to the castle.
We make our up those long steps to make it up to the castle. Tyrion and Lord Snow are talking amongst themselves while Missandei and I are talking to one another about what things that finally went down between her and Greyworm.
“About time you both did something.” I tell her with a smile on both of our faces. Her eyes seem to glow with happiness as she’s talking about him.
“Yes it is isn’t it.”
“So what did happen between you two?”
“Many things.” Her eyebrows raise and her smile seems to get bigger.
“I’m happy for the both of you.” The sound of Drogons skreech is heard and him flying by low sends Lord snow and Ser Davos to the ground. It doesn’t scare us anymore so we stay standing. Their faces when they look at us is hilarious. They seem to be shocked on how calm we looked. I couldn’t help but have a sly smile on my face as I extended by hand out to help Lord snow up to his feet.
“Their mother is waiting for you.”
-
This meeting hadn’t gone like we would’ve liked at all. It wasnt unexpected. The north wasn’t going to easily bow down to Daenerys. Espically not after everything that happened before. It’s going to be hard to get them to bend the knee and Daenerys knows that. They both are trying to do what’s best for their people. And it’s something that she needs to understand. But telling her this is going to be hard especially after seeing her face after Varys came in to tell her something.
Her eyes met mine and her frown seemed to grow deeper.
“Our Ironborn and Dornish allies were attacked on route to Dorne.” Varys explains his eyes flickering over to me with a frown on his face. I took a deep breath as I began to feel nervous I could instantly feel the tears.
“And?” I asked my voice shaky the desperation in my voice was clear waiting for him to answer was killing me.
“Two or three ships escaped the rest sunk or captured, Ellaria and the sand snakes dead or captured——“ everything he said after that tuned out. I swallowed thickly trying to take everything in. I tried blinking away my tears I tried so hard not cry in front all of them. I didn’t feel Daenerys call my name until I felt her hug me. And then all the tears I tried to hold in just flowed down. I could hold them in so instead I cried. I took a deep and shaky breath. I balled my hand into fist and wiped my tears with my other hand. I can’t feel this way no more. They’re dead but I can’t just cry about it. Now it’s my turn to avenge them.
-
“We need to find Euron Greyjoy’s fleet and sink it.” Daenerys said. I stood next to her looking down at the map to see what we could do.
“Your grave he already destroyed a good portion of our fleet to send our remaining ships after him—“
“He killed my family we can’t just sit here and do nothing!” I yelled inturrpting Varys. I was frustrated that I was still sitting here and not going after him. I can’t just do nothing.
“I know you want to do something for your family but we can’t send our—“ Varys tried explaining himself once again but Daenerys inturrpted him.
“We’re not talking about sending our ships after him.” Daenerys said making her self clear what she wanted to do.
“Would you have to go yourselves? Euron ships could be anywhere or in more than one place. You two would be flying in open seas alone for who knows how long.” Tyrion said trying to convince us to go.
“We’ll have Drogon, Rheagal and Viserion. We won’t be alone.” I told him.
“Exactly What could anyone do to them.” Daenerys defended nodding her in agreement to my statement.
“They could still do something to the both of you, it only takes one arrow.” Missandei explained.
“It’s too great of a risk you two are too important.”
“I’m not that important. I’m not the Queen I can go. The Dragons Like me and they listen to me I can go by myself.” I stated. Daenerys looked up at me her eyebrows furrowed.
“No you cannot you’re the only living family I have left I can’t lose you. I won’t let you go alone.” She sighed and came by my side and put her hand on my shoulder and squeezed it. Comforting me. “I understand what you feel but it’s true it is too dangerous.”
“Fine then what about Castly Rock?” I don’t try to argue because I know whatever I say they won’t listen. I just sit down and let my shoulders fall and admit my defeat.
-
I walk down the stairs and by the cave where lord snow is. I had to get my mind off everything that went on or else I think I would lose my mind. I went inside and saw the cave lightly lit by fire. A couple of men were in here with Lord snow talking to them. When he noticed me come in he excused himself and walked closer to me.
“Lord snow.” I greeted him.
“Please Just Jon.”
“okay then Jon... all this down here are you certian it’s going to help you?” I ask him.
“yes It will.” He turns his attention to the Dragonglass wall. I let my hand wander the cold wall.
“If I’m I being honest I believe you.. about the dead men.”
“Really?” He questions his eyes narrowed confused that I had just said that to him.
“Yes... you seem like an honest man Jon I don’t find reason why you would lie.” He chuckles and looks back at the wall and crosses his arms.
“Could you help me then? Convince the queen to help us.”
“I could tell her but I don’t think she’ll do anything else if you don’t bend the knee.” I tell him truthfully. It’s true though he only let him do this because she thinks It will help him and help her so he could bend the knee. He sighs.
“I can’t just bend the knee to a Queen I barely know I’ve got to look out for my people.”
“I understand that. You’re looking out for your people and so is she. She’s only trying to take back what was stolen from our family.”
“Well if she doesn’t help us then you both would be ruling over a graveyard. We can only fight this together.” He says I hum in response and try to find my words to say next carefully.
“I’ll talk to her but you have to convince her that what you want isn’t just going to waste her time.” He nods and I clasp my hands together in front of me and turn to leave.
“She won’t be that easy to convince as I was so you’ve got to get a good explantion Jon snow.” I tell him before completely leaving the cave.
I don’t know why but for some reason I believe this man. And what he said about the army of the dead. And maybe it’s because of the stories I’ve heard when I was younger but I just believe him.

New chapter of In My Veins is upppppppp
Jon himself rode with a painful grimace, a smile reaching his eyes at the sight of his kin. His leg was still healing from the attack at the gates but he had insisted on being part of the party. He was flanked by a pair each of northmen and Unsullied, and was joined by Ser Davos Seaworth and, to Brienne's delight, Podrick Payne carrying the banner. Brienne's smile on seeing her former squire whole made Jaime's own heart skip a beat just before he caught a glimpse of Jon's expression, just before that same heart sunk into his stomach.

“I’m not asking anyone out,” Stannis grits his teeth, and Jaime should probably just let that go because it’s not his business, but. Fact is, since he went with his gut and Brienne accepted his subsequent coffee invitations, though she had made him swear that they would keep it quiet and she would block his number the moment he tried to meddle with his nephew’s grades… he’s honestly never been happier he went through with it indeed. And as he can’t remember the last time he felt this happy when it came to his personal life, he feels like he should try to share some of the cheer around, and — thing is, with the both of them being representatives he has spent more time with Stannis in the last two months than in the entire time their siblings stayed married, and.
He can’t remember one time when Stannis actually did something for himself and not for other people, be it his daughter or his brothers, and he’s been wondering if he ever actually did in his entire existence — jury’s out on that, at the moment. Blame him if he wants to help the man out a bit.
or: have commission #2 for the lovely @dragonsthough101 who wanted jb and stannis/davos in modern au and went for this specific setting where brienne and davos work at an elementary school and jaime & stannis are in the parents’ representatives, thank you very much and I hope it fits the bill! :D

Chapters of A Song of Ice & Fire - A Dance With Dragons - Davos IV "Foes and false friends are all around me, Lord Davos. They infest my city like roaches, and at night I feel them crawling over me." The fat man's fingers coiled into a fist, and all his chins trembled. "My son Wendel came to the Twins as a guest. He ate Lord Walder's bread and salt, and hung his sword upon the wall to feast with friends. And they murdered him. Murdered, I say, and may the Freys choke upon their fables. I drink with Jared, jape with Symond, promise Rhaegar the hand of my own beloved granddaughter...but never think that means I have forgotten. The north remembers, Lord Davos. The north remembers, and the mummer's farce is almost done."

“Stannis,” Jaime whispers back, “has just snuck out with Davos in order to try to drift with a kaiju, which is rather reckless of him and I’m honestly surprised in a very pleasurable way —”
“Seriously?”
“I mean,” Jaime grins back, tiredly, the bags under his eyes almost purple (not that she thinks hers must be faring better), “he doesn’t seem like the type who’d do that, but better for him, right? At least he’s living a little.”
“I don’t know if drifting with a kaiju is living a little. Has that stuff gone to your head?”

Chapters of A Song of Ice & Fire - A Dance With Dragons - Davos I      “Why should I give him any aid? Answer me that.”      Because he is your rightful king, Davos thought. Because he is a strong man and a just one, the only man who can restore the realm and defend it against the peril that gathers in the north. Because he has a magic sword that glows with the light of the sun. The words caught in his throat. None of them would sway the Lord of Sweetsister. None of them would get him a foot closer to White Harbor.

Chapters of A Song of Ice & Fire - A Dance With Dragons - Davos III "But it was the Young Wolf who was the monster. More beast than boy, that one, puffed up with pride and bloodlust. And he was faithless, as my lord grandfather learned to his sorrow." He spread his hands. "I do not fault White Harbor for supporting him. My grandsire made the same grievous mistake. In all the Young Wolf's battles, White Harbor and the Twins fought side by side beneath his banners. Robb Stark betrayed us all. He abandoned the north to the cruel mercies of the ironmen to carve out a fairer kingdom for himself along the Trident. Then he abandoned the riverlords who had risked much and more for him, breaking his marriage pact with my grandfather to wed the first western wench who caught his eye. The Young Wolf? He was a vile dog and died like one." The Merman's Court had grown still. Davos could feel the chill in the air. Lord Wyman was looking down at Rhaegar as if he were a roach in need of a hard heel...yet then, abruptly, he gave a ponderous nod that set his chins to wobbling. "A dog, aye. He brought us only grief and death. A vile dog indeed. Say on."
