As someone who has been on cheetehZ projects I completely agree with that Anon. People are allowed to like the MAPs and participating in them I don’t care but I’m shocked how more people don’t take issue with this. Especially since cheetah is now asking for donations just for map lore information (with a large following of children too). Not even art commissions. Everyone in the server is pretty much working for him. You can say it’s volunteer based as much as you want but it doesn’t address the social pressures people feel to keep up with something that’ll get you clout.

I’ve hosted maps in the past, and have noticed how the “CCU” has starved the MAP ecosystem. It was a community where you join maps and then create your own map and then in turn those people that made the projects you joined would join your projects. Instead everything revolves around how cheetah runs his maps. When people who join your maps are also in a cheetah map it wont matter when your deadline is, the cheetah project always gets priority. Everyone is always working on something in the cheetah server that nobody has time to work on anything else. It’s really rough when you are trying to get your own project done and backups are silent. That or your participants are ghosting you while being active in the cheetah server after multiple announcements.

Cheetah projects are essentially made by other people at this point for his gain. All cheetah is now is the guy with ideas. Everyone else is working for him and making set designs, storyboards, character designs, props, call art, thumbnails etc. Hollyfawn wasn’t even fully scripted! It’s quite literally a studio. Which wouldn’t be a problem if people were compensated for their time. A finished MAP in the past was that compensation but for huge projects like these that have a whole pre production stage it’s insane that a single person has hundreds of people literally working for him like this. And if someone drops there’s always someone to pick up you are literally just a worker. It just doesn’t feel right.

If you have a part that’s not a huge story beat you just don’t matter, you get the project finished but all these maps rely on the huge dramatic parts with insane animation. That’s how they get the excitement up and views in. And these parts are usually given infinite amount of time to finish without collaborating as well. I don’t have any issue with people who do use their talents to make some great parts my issue is just with cheetah and the rest of the council. How things are ran and how so many small things contribute to a greater issue here of circling people around you for your own gain just because people also like your stories doesn’t make it less insane. MAPs work as a small group project. Not as a studio. If this is how you run things it should be promoted more as something like warrior cats animated or something similar. Because now everyone is trying to follow the cheetah model and it just does not work.

This hardly scratches the surface. People can do as they please but we can’t pretend like it isn’t suffocating the rest of the community.

so i was doing research on everything cheetehz's sorry fucking ass when it comes tot he treatment of animators. i saw reoccurring claims that cheetehz excused sexual harassment but I could not find hte source of those claims so if someone has a link to that or animators that came forward about their expereinces regarding cheetehz please share the resources with me.

Additionally the video i'm working on is also going to include information regarding how a proper animation pipeline is like + why i hate the direction the animation map community has been heading for some time now.

Ok real talk, both Hawkstorm and Hollyfawn made me interested into tornadoes and The Family Crest music, and the fact that Cheeteh Z abusing the crew behind the scene (e.g. Photosensitive part, mistreatment), along with a small deadline in such a big MAP is just insane.

This fake "MAP" named "Mothwing's Sign" makes him a final nail in the coffin. Not only is it a loophole for him, but it is insulting to not just multi animator community, but the entire victims of Cheeteh Z in regards of controversy.

If you didn't know the context, here's a doc from ofukitty, lunartempest, and demi mon so you can get what's going on. I'm so sorry to the victims who went through.

I applied for many, many Cheeteh MAPs and am so glad I never got accepted in hindsight. He was one of the reasons I left the MAP community because his whole schtick of MAP universes feels so corporate. Which isn't a *bad* thing, but nobody is getting paid from what I can tell. I used to animate for MAPs a lot back in 2013-2015 and I hate to be the "back in my day" guy but I'm gonna say it, back then these MAPs felt FUN to participate for, and now seeing this whole extended universe MAPs (it's not just Cheeteh) has genuinely sucked the fun out of it. Now you're not creating animation for yourself, you're creating for someone else to have THEIR story be told. Which would be fine if people were paid, and if young minors weren't participating cause labor laws. Plus at that young age you're still trying to find yourself and working on these projects legitimately is like working a job.

I always feel inadequate looking at Cheeteh's participant's parts but knowing what hoops he asks them to jump through, I feel SO upset for those who are pressured into getting their parts in. I'm a disabled adult who goes to college and has a job, as well as hobbies and a friend group to keep up with, and if I were asked to drop everything and work straight on something for 72 hours without compensation, just for clout, I'd go crazy too.

hey! was browsing thru the search for cheeteh z and saw ur post abt wanting a source on some claims--

the person who initially made the sexual harassment claims was geuse, who was a zoophile that was dating cheeteh's brother. the document discussing this and their youtube channel is deleted but i can confirm that it existed at one point in time and that chee definitely was involved in making them hook up

there are definitely some animators on twitter that have discussed their treatment though! (although it also sounds like chee's done something new in the past 24 hours but i'm not in the map server so i can't help in the regard)

I cannot confirm or deny the zoophile claims because googling their name online provided me with next to no information - I couldn't even find people talking ABOUT geuse for some reason, the search engines simply don't seem to work with the name well. I'm leaning on doubtful because a lot of the people in this fandom have not had a proper sexual education and often spread misinformation on paraphilias.

[Keep in mind I am a psych major and I have taken classes about human sexuality and had paraphilias covered in my abnormal psychology class, I can and will rant about these things.]

At the moment I will not be covering the sexual harassment claims specifically because I feel like I still don't have enough information to really determine anything but I will say having looked at the doc it does fall in line with the pattern of poor communication and frankly I would say overstepping professional boundaries by taking people off of projects for dumb reasons.

I have however gotten into contact with someone who has animated in some of Cheeteh Z's maps. As well as a doc they made about Cheeteh Z's poor leadership so I will be covering that. I am also privy to information that I was advised not to talk about.

Like i just saw a slideshoe on tiktok of somebody explaining their least favourite maps and why, and then they said that Hawkash was a disgusting ship, and also that Nightcloud was super manipulative but not crowfeather Apparentally? Like i wanna see wc fans from other platforms look into the tumblr wc fandom.
