Statement from Mr. Goodtimes: "Hello, all you investors and test subjects, Scar Goodtimes here, CEO and founder of Apeture Science. You might be wondering, "Scar, what possessed you to buy hundreds of dollars of moon rocks?" And the answer would be: Science! Just some good, ol' fashioned Science. Cleo, tell the Lab Boys to see if ground up moon rocks can do any Science."

Additional Note: We're not sure how Mr. Goodtimes came into possession of billions of dollars, considering he spends them all almost as soon as he gets them. The stock ratings are awful, and had it not been for Mr. Goodtimes' fortune, Apeture would have been bankrupt within its first two months.

Note from Mr. Goodtimes: "You know what I think will help achieve our aim of a big, beautiful tomorrow? AI. Artificial Intelligence. Cleo, can you get the Lab Boys working on that? Thank you. You see, I want to try and put myself into a computer! Wouldn't that just be great? Then I can get to see that great big, beautiful tomorrow. So, I'm getting the Lab Boys to work on that now! Say... That diamond looking moon rock looks suspiciously tasty..."

Additional Note 2: Mr. Goodtimes has begun eating the moon rocks. We hope this has no health concerns.

Additional Note 3: There were, in fact, health concerns. While we cannot get a direct statement from Mr. Goodtimes at this moment, he has stated that he wants Miss Cleo Zombie to "run this place" in the event of his premature death, and that the "Lab Boys" should "Stick her in <his> computer" if needs be.

so like the mechanisms are a band but they all have characters that they play and have lore and tell stories (theyre immortal space pirates who roam stars in the starship aurora having fun violence and more violence etc etc) GHSJHKFSH im not gonna ramble abt them anymore lol @lucky-sevens is a very good resource for all things mechs + check out lyric vids of their songs on here + their official site

SO BASICALLY, mumbo right? i know i said hed be nastya and he does share some stuff w her but then ppl reminded me of who would be aurora and what of nastyas backstory and i realized tango would be a better fit for those details of nastya so (ex princess tango + starship impulse !!! zed is the ships doctor btw n his mechanism is his brain) i decided to mix n match stuff from different characters n change whatevers, so now about mumbo:

his mechanism is his blood ! which is replaced with redstone :] this makes him radioactive, and also glow red. hes also like, a powered redstone circuit or w/e they are, and can power things by touching them/being near them even. i think redstone would be terrible for circulation but also that i think redstone itself would be pretty hot, being radioactive and all (especially powered redstone)

the coat + gloves etc are for hiding the glow (and also maybe some of the radiation??? i cant imagine that would be very good for normal people), and the scarf is for his head when he goes out n such

the mustache is fake. yeah. mumbo got meched young and did not get a mustache u_u

i think theyd have a backstory kinda like ashes, mumbo worked for the governemnt as a scientist/weapons expert but double crossed them for the rebellion or smth and got assassinated/sabotaged via lab safety violations

im kinda thinkin if ill keep the original number of 9 mechanisms or if ill add more hermits, i want other mcyts to be album characters and such, with one smp focused on one album maybe, but i dont know if i wanna add hermits as albums characs or as more mechs. maybe them as non-mechs immortals? like king cole or lyf or briar etc. thoughts on etho as carmilla tho?

As soon as Cleo entered the room, she knew it had been a mistake. She had stepped into Scott doing questionable things many more times that they wished to remember, but did they ever learn? No.

The room smelled of flowers, aggressively so, in a sharp contrast to the smell of death that at this point the house itself seemed to emanate.

Scott was hunched over in the center of the circle, a knee down and looking like he was ready to jump and run at the barest provocation. It was too dark to see his expression, between the blood and the dark hairs that covered his face, but Cleo had the distinct feeling that he did not want her getting near. At all.

A candle flickered, and the necromancer quickly turned around to see what had disturbed it. It had been the door they had left open, the Time Witch knew, and in a second he had turned back to keep watching her, but the second had been enough for Cleo to get a look of what he was holding in his arms.

A rotting corpse, many months old if she had to guess. The hair on its head had tinned down enough for the scalp to be seen through it, and the face was just as pale as Scott's, if more wrinkled. It's mouth hung open, with no teeth or tongue remaining. The skin looked as dry and rough as leather, a strong contrast against the soft-looking robe that covered it, pale greens and yellows catching the eye against Scott's black one. It seemed more like something from Eloise's wardrobe than the Death Witch's, and they wondered if she knew about this.

Noticing their stare, but without breaking eye contact, Scott used a hand to hide the body's head from their view, covering it with his own clothing.

A very normal reaction. For sure.

Scott presed his lips against where the crown of the head was and- okay. Yeah, no, this was getting too much for them. Cleo wasn't a squirmish person, and their threshold for fucked up things was way too high, but somehow Scott always found a new way to surprise them.

"I'm going to go wait in your kitchen- I don't know what this is, and I can't emphasize this enough, I don't want to know," she said, not waiting for his permission to turn back towards the door. "Meet me when you're done, I have important news to share"

And today's "deeply distracting au while i wait for my wrist to calm down from attempting to write for too long" iiiiiiiiiis Subnautica! an inevitability for every fandom i'm in after a certain point tbh i just LOVE Subnautica... would love to actually play it myself one day when i have a better computer

ANYWAYS I'm spicing it up this time by mashing both games together and also really mixing up the hermits.

The premise is that the Hermatrix Convoy (HC), a trio of spaceships that travels together in a group as a defense measure against outside dangers, is on its journey. When they have to reroute to slingshot 4546-B, they don't think it's going to be a problem. Knowing the planet is uninhabited and that no other ships are nearby, they all go for the slingshot at the same time, separated by mere seconds.

The gun, of course, gets them all.

Hermatrix-1 crashes in a shallow part of the flooded surface in the subtropics (the setting of the first game) and completely loses the ship, though a dozen survive. Hermatrix-2 crashes in the arctic (Subnautica: Below Zero); their ship remains habitable for survival, but barely, and eight survive.

Hermatrix-3, the smallest of the convoy, manages to switch to planetside navigation and mitigates the damage from the crash. If they want to get off-planet, they'll need some serious repairs, but in the meantime they can still move through the water like a particularly clumsy and slow submarine. The problem is figuring out where they are besides "deep, deep underwater," and what exactly the giant lifeforms the scanner insists are out there are...

Of course, there's groups within each ship as well. The friend groups of HC's staff and passengers does not necessarily correlate to ship assignment, which only adds to the stress of crashing on a supposedly-safe planet's anti-spacecraft gun.

Hermatrix-1's survivors: BDubs (architect, passenger), Zedaph (theoretical physicist), Pearl (janitor), Beef (psychologist), False (metallurgist, passenger), Etho (navigator), Scar (actor, passenger), Hypno (gov't agent, passenger), Iskall (athlete, passenger), xB (xenohistorian, passenger), Jevin (communicator specialist), Keralis (doctor)

Hermatrix-2's survivors: Ren (captain), Xisuma (cybersec specialist), Gem (ambassador, passenger), Impulse (chemist, passenger), Wels (bodyguard, passenger), Joe (teacher, passenger), Cub (CEO, pasenger), Grian (shipwright)

Hermatrix-3's survivors: Doc (spacecraft engineer), Mumbo (architect, passenger), Stress (pharmacologist), Tango (mechanical engineer, passenger), Cleo (acting captain)

If it doesn't clarify them as a passenger, then they are a member of the ship's crew. Loosely based on s9 roles, if that wasn't clear - though some of these are definitely going to change because I don't know some of these Hermits well enough yet.

round two of the mcyt tumblr sexy man tournament is over. here is a recap of some of my favorite moments

- herobrine was voted out in the first round :( unfortunate. he is the truest evil man of minecraft besides notch

- lizzie absolutely SWEPT in the first round against her opponent. it was 91%-9%. im so proud of her

- her second round was more evenly split, but she won and i have hope that she’ll prevail against bdouble because she did against cub

- i thought dream would’ve lasted longer due to his more recent popularity but no! seapeekay got him out pretty solidly.

- lizzie and joel, if they both win the third round, will have to compete against each other in round four.

- technoblade joined in round two and also absolutely swept his competition. in the third round he’s against captain sparklez which is such a pairing

- jimmy and scott are against each other in round three which is going to be insane. jimmy also read a comment on his stream calling him a wet paper bag, which was hilarious. thank you op

- pearl, cleo, and false all joined in during the second round i believe. all three of them prevailed

- xornoth was bested by ranboo??? xornoth is a gay demon lord i do think he should’ve won that, but the people have spoken
