if Jessie is 1” taller than everyone else does that apply worldwide or just to Jessie’s field of awareness; ie. if someone 7’ tall enters Jessie’s field of view does she become 7’1” or does the person shrink?

they all shrink down to 1" below her default height (no shapeshift stretching) permanently regardless of whether or not she is aware of them. it's the most direct way to make "everybody in the whole world is at least an inch shorter than Jessie" true.

that's actually why many characters are "shiloh height"

How is this not Emily? I imagine that Emily had a rocky relationship with her mom. That her mom was a bit of a control freak. I think joining the team reminded her how to have fun again. Remember how Hotch characterizes Prentiss to Strauss: "Prentiss overcompensates because she doesn't yet feel that she's a part of the team." At the beginning Aaron is right, but he then goes on to say, "She needn't worry." Hotch knows his team so well. And Em gets a chance to really be herself at the BAU. I am so happy that Emily got to have a family in the BAU. At it's core Criminal Minds is a found family story, and it makes me feel good inside.
