I'm so tired of being sick. No one but me wears a mask at work, I literally have customers come in and fucking joke about being sick, this fucking country doesn't have any safety net for people who get sick (no paid time off, no universal healthcare). I hate it here.

And that was it; blood test, two heart tests, muscle strength test, test of lung capacity, bone scanning and some questionaires later and I am a little dizzy from the blood opening drug i got at the last test and still sore after the drop in my arm but I got through it all pretty fine. Now I cannot do anything but hope my head will slow down a bit in half an hour so I can come home and rest before movie in the evening

Odyssee im Testiversum

Am Montagmittag führe ich routinemäßig einen Antigen-Schnelltest bei mir selbst durch, weil mein Hals ein wenig kratzt. Er zeigt sehr bald ein positives Ergebnis an, na gut, nach drei Jahren hab ich dann wohl auch Corona. Ich bin fünf Mal geimpft und mache mir nicht allzu große Sorgen, außer darum, andere angesteckt zu haben.

Um möglichst schnell über die Corona-Warn-App andere darauf aufmerksam zu machen, dass sie vielleicht von mir infiziert worden sein könnten, versuche ich nun an einen PCR-Test zu kommen. Mein Hausarzt bietet keine mehr an und verweist mich an eine Teststation, wo ich jedoch erst einen weiteren Schnelltest machen soll. In den kommenden zwei Tagen werde ich bei zwei unterschiedlichen Stationen insgesamt drei Mal mittels eines angeblich tiefen Nasenabstrichs negativ getestet.

Alle meine Tests zu Hause, die ich gekauft hatte, weil sie in vergleichenden Produkttests als besonders sensitiv abschnitten, werden sofort positiv.

Ich gehe Mittwoch ein weiteres Mal zu einer Filiale von Schnelltest Berlin und verlange vor dem Hintergrund meiner eigenen Ergebnisse einen PCR-Test, der mit dem Hinweis an mir ausgeführt wird, dass ich ihn selbst zahlen müsse, falls er doch negativ ausfallen solle (Kostenpunkt: 99€). Einen Tag später erhalte ich einen Anruf aus dem Kundencenter, dass mein Test leider nicht auswertbar gewesen sei, ich dürfe deshalb noch mal einen PCR-Test durchführen lassen.

Zu diesem Zeitpunkt reihen sich bei mir sechs positive Selbsttests auf. Der am Donnerstag genommene tiefe Nasenabstrich ist auswertbar und ich erhalte Freitagmorgen per Mail mein positives Ergebnis, das jedoch nur als PDF herunterzuladen ist, nicht direkt in die Corona-Warn-App einzutragen.

Um das zu erreichen, rufe ich, wie im Menüpunkt “Ihre Testverwaltung → TAN für PCR-Test anfragen” angegeben, bei der kostenfreien Hotline für diese TAN-Erstellung an. Dort muss ich Auskunft darüber geben, in welchem Labor mein Test ausgewertet wurde (steht im Ergebnis), was mein Geburtsdatum ist und wie meine Handynummer lautet. Dann legt der freundliche Servicemitarbeiter auf und ruft mich unmittelbar zurück. Er diktiert mir eine zehnstellige TAN, die ich als Nächstes in das dafür zuständige Fenster der Warn-App eingebe. Daraufhin wird mein Ergebnis in die App geladen und ich wähle aus, dass ich andere warnen möchte.

Da ich mein PCR-Ergebnis erst am vierten Tag nach meinem positiven Selbsttest erhalten habe, werden einige derjenigen, denen ich evtl. infektiös begegnet bin, nicht gewarnt.

Sooo... I had Corsair AU thoughts. Which I can only make properly work after a shitton of research regarding Irish Piracy and the Spanish Fleet in the Mediterrenean and also some research about connections between these groups.

But here's the gist of it:

The Irish are staying at Michele's inn in Sicily while they're there. Which is also where Sadık is staying together with Herakles for the time being, to treat an injury he incurred. Perhaps even Dilan is around, if she isn't on the ship. (Also, perhaps - - No, Bea, focus.) For more info, see this post.

Antonio, a captain of the Spanish Fleet, is currently in Sicily and wanted to take the opportunity to talk with the Irish, since they're allies. The Irish however, not in the mood for pomp and circumstances, tell him cockily to come meet them where THEY'RE at. There's a good chance they don't even expect him to show up.

He does show up, however, together with his little posse. In plainer clothes not to draw attention, but chipper as always.

Michele is the opposite of chipper. He cares, above all, about not turning his inn into a battlefield and himself & the twins into prisoners. Now, I am not sure if this was intentional on the Irish' part to get back at Sadık, who gave them hell out at sea, or simple recklessness. The following conversation would work as much with snitching as it would with gossip that got to the Spaniards by locals.

Michele to Harry: "If you thought ratting out the Corsair and cause a ruckus in _my_ inn, I will never even do so much as _look_ into your general direction!"

Marco, with an equally irritated look at Charlie: "Same goes for you."

Salomé, one of Tonio's right hands: "Ah, great, that then leaves us with two people who don't think with their dick and can't be threatened with it."

Antonio: "Now, everyone stay calm. It'd be a shame if we had to get the viceroy involved, because somebody is sheltering an Ottoman good-for-nothing pirate, wouldn't it be?"

Michele: "Ahaha, well, Signor..."

The twins share a look and want to sneak off, to warn the two upstairs, but Tonio's other right hand notices as well.

Diego: "And where do you two think you're doing?"

Marco: "What?"

Lorenzo: "Is moving about in our own house not allowed anymore with you Spanish -"

Michele: "Boys, tone."

Both: "What do you want from us, anyways?"
