I very much wanted to post things for fun and figured I would do it on Tumblr since it seems like a chill place where likes and follows don't matter and also my friends and family (which I'm not out to yet) follow me on every single social media and I do not want them stalking me when I post about who knows what

Yeah, kinda sorta. I do not want to sound patronizing at all because trust me, this comes from the former cringelord wattpad creepypasta fic writer, but it was the mishmash of twst characters and also the child bride being fifteen when she got engaged. I immediately flashed back to when I'd make my ocs all either sixteen to date a certain proxy or eighteen to date... literally anyone else, and my brain went "if this person is like fifteen it's your responsibility as the elder to keep them safe." I suffer from this thing called eldest daughter lmao.

not sure how common this is for non-writers, but when it comes to kuroko no basket specifically i have this awful habit of projecting my own hobbies and interests onto them. from one teenage boy to seven others, i just can't help it

kagami gets a lot of my music taste (talked about in more detail in this fic) and also just all the horrid way americans talk sometimes. to be fair, zeno robinson does an amazing job at this in the dub anyway, but oh my god its so bad when i write him sometimes

kuroko gets the brunt of my quiet person habits - light footsteps like its the most normal thing to sneak around, steady breathing to the point its almost completely still. i was once told i "only speak up when it truly matters", which makes me think a lot of kuroko

aomine is... well aomine is me and all my worse habits. of the miragen, and i believe i said it in a post before, he is the most teenage boy a teenage boy can be with talents like his. sleeping and porn - how much realer does it get?

kise's a fashion icon through and through, even if what some of his official arts look like say otherwise. like myself, i think kise would have a lot of fun taking this and that from current trends without fully committing to it. he wants to stand out, still, and can't really do that if he blends in with the rest. being a model helps him get items from this trend and that

murasakibara, i think, can speak for quite a few of us. not a lot of interest in things that don't particularly matter to us, and sometimes hates the one thing he likes to do (writers... artists... looking at you for this one) but then a breakthrough happens and you're crying over your work

akashi and midorima come from money - i do not. however, i do think it would be funny if, when given time on weekends, they do daring teenager things like staying up late surfing the internet crawling down whatever rabbit holes they can find. it's not often, but it happens.

been obsessed with the older brother dynamic with aomine lately

kinda goes both ways: him having older brother figures and him being the older brother. mostly thinking of this role in relation to touou, but nijimura was his first older brother figure without him realising it. nijimura couldn't help it; he sees this rowdy kid and wants to pummel him (older brother instinct) while also maybe wanting to put band aids on scraped knees and ask him if he's alright without actually saying anything (come play basketball with me. come have lunch with me. let me lace your shoes before the game.)

after imayoshi leaves touou, wakamatsu takes on the older brother role that nijimura did. only then does aomine realise what was goin on at teiko, what nijimura was to him and why he felt so weird when he gave the captain position to akashi. wakamatsu's not as nice at him, but aomine doesn't care. it's the kind of rough-housing that boys grow into and he finds he actually kind of likes it. their bickering from aomine's first-year becomes less genuine and more like an annoying habit. wakamatsu nougies him once and aomine elbows him in the ribs hard enough the vice captain has to stand in while he's getting checked out for broken bones. they're alright after that.

between him and sakurai, there's about nine days separating them in age. either way, aomine's taken up the big bully of an older brother role (entirely on accident and definitely started on accident the first day he stole food from his lunch box) but sakurai accepts it; it's an unspoken bond between two only-children. sakurai gets used to aomine's rough headlocks when he so much as reaches into his bag, and eventually starts making a substantial amount of food for him and aomine. (he once tried making aomine a lunch; he said it doesn't taste as good as stealing it from sakurai's).

listen. i just really fucking want aomine to have brothers he can look up to and pick on as someone who has his own sibling troubles. enter nijimura and wakamatsu as aomine's unofficial older brothers and one sakurai ryou, subjected to the same treatment.

kise imo is big on casual touch so during teiko he’s the one who initiates it - packing up after practice with kurokocchi and his thanks is a tackle hug that sends them sprawling. aomine’s always down to wrestle bcuz he has no siblings, so he piles on next. mura is all ‘ooh, something to lay on while i snack’ abt it. akashi is hesitant to join - mido is entirely against it. mura offers akashi some of his snack so he joins. mido, like the prissy little king he is, sits on top of the pile. yes satsuki & niji are taking pics like parents

post-canon it’d probly be actual cuddling, less dogpiling the unlucky two who got stuck on the bottom. & now they have to fit kagami in too. still starts with kise and kuroko but now kuroko’s sandwiched btwn kise and kagami. it grows to look like they’ve all fallen against each other like dominoes. kagami is deathly worried about how much weight his couch can hold w/ a bunch of too-big teenage boys on it

if i had to put into words my interpretation of aokise it would be very cringe and weird but thats bcus theyre cringe and weird. aomine reads porn mags and sleeps in his free time. kise spends his days in front of a camera and/or fighting off fangirls. theyre both maybe 15 or 16.

awkward teenage boys moving out of their junior high routines into a high school routine with new classmates new teammates new everything. they’re popular cus they’re good at basketball. realistically aomine is probly a loner cus hes brash and really only seeks out competition. he’s always got his fucking finger in his ear.

kise’s a big-shot, obviously, but thats what he gets for being pretty!! the ultimate all-rounder, literally. good at every sport, pretty in the face, model proportions with the blond hair to match. he’s just a guy on the court (which kasamatsu reminds us of none too gently when he nails kise in the back with a well-aimed kick)

its an ick to see them fanonised into some smooth talker, always smirking and sexy looking dudes. stop. i beg you. you see this face?

absolutely nothing sexy about that. he’s a gorgeous boy with pretty eyes and shaggy bangs (and a gay earring) and all i want to do when i see him is cradle his face and knead his cheeks like dough. maybe even kiss him between the eyebrows like a proud parent.

i have no pictures of aomine saved (a crime) but trust when i say that boy probly gets sooo awkward when someone compliments him. he’s always so tough, always so “the only one who can beat me is me”. he’d have no idea what to do. when’s the last time somebody complimented him? please love him.

this ventured away from aokise as a ship to aokise as their own individual characters, but my point still stands. them together would just be a cringey blushy mess cus theyre both young boys feeling out how relationships work and what they should and shouldnt say to each other. aomines idea of a date is probly basketball and burgers. kise would make him do face masks later cus “you sweat today and this ones really good for your skin. oh, look, it fits the shape of your face perfectly! don’t pout, aominecchi, you’re wrinkling it!!!!”
