I've come around on Callowmoore and in doing so realized my main problem with them originally was part of the fandoms insistence on chalking them up to being "a sexy provocative woman being sexy next to a sexy gruff man". Where as I can only enjoy them through the lens of their autistic arospec t4t weirdness.

HEY! HEY YOU! YOU UPDATED YOUR PAGE TWENTY-SIX MINUTES AGO! TUMBLR TOLD ME SO! GIVE ME YOUR PERCAHLIA BRAINROT!
Haha, gladly! Buckle in, because the brainrot has been going for weeks now and will not stop. Currently, I’m stuck on their journey to the Water Ashari, where Vex and Percy have the most heartfelt conversation about what they heard during their respective resurrection rituals. Percy basically says that in space of limbo he was stuck in while Orthax was feasting on his soul he could only hear pure noise and feel pain and he’s tried so hard to not put the experience into words but now he is putting it into words, for Vex, because she deserves the full truth of the offerings that called him back during his ritual. He tells her that he had: “great motivation to live a long life”, which just makes me want to go fucking feral because on a meta level Vex rolled true love’s natural 20 and Tal specifically said that he told Matt to text him because if they didn’t say what Percy wanted to hear, he just fully wouldn’t come back, good resurrection rolls be damned, but despite Pike’s plea for the gods to save him (which was something he explicitly wouldn’t have wanted), Vex told him she loved him and she needed him back, and Percy was called back anyways for her.
He was ready to let everything go: his sister, his home, his found family and all the friends he’d made, because he was done and he was tired and he felt like he’d completed his journey and earned his tragic end, and he even preemptively wrote what essentially functioned as a suicide note for the occasion. But he didn’t die, he came back anyways, and, almost 20 full episodes after the resurrection ritual and exactly 15 episodes after he and Vex first kissed in the snow, he admits to her in this quiet moment on the ship that he heard her. And it was the only thing he heard.
This contrasts directly with the ritual itself, where after being brought back he thanked Keyleth, saying: “I saw what you did, it was the only thing I saw”, referring to how Kiki severed him from Orthax, but he also explicitly states that he couldn’t hear her, he just saw her hand reach out. And when she hears it you can just see Laura play it brilliantly, because Vex looks so dejected as he says it in that scene post resurrection. She’s so full of this sudden grief at something she’s barely had but already lost, which was her confession of love to him because he just said he only saw Keyleth, and that means he doesn’t remember Vex’s plea for his life. But he did remember, and it was the only thing he remembered and the only thing that mattered. But he didn’t tell her not because of any time he needed to consider if he felt the same way, because he was already head over heels just like she was; he didn’t say anything because she just bore her heart in front of all their friends, all their family, and he didn’t want to put her on the spot like that.
“I never would have hoped... you’re far too wonderful for an idiot. I treasure every minute”. Percy knows and Vex knows that he was very well almost gone for good, and Vex saved his life by calling out to him the way she did. He never would have hoped she felt the same way, he never would have hoped the heart she was referring to when confronting Saundor was his, but he treasures every minute they have together because they both know what they could have lost, and after the Thordak, Raishan, and second Raishan fight, this is even more potent because they both either went to death saves or outright died and had to be revivified. And she treasures every moment right back. They’re so deeply in love, and they have such an immense respect for each other that as soon as Vex asks at the top of the scene what he heard during his resurrection Percy instantly catches on that she’s both probably curious about Scanlan’s ritual, but also still feeling insecure about him not mentioning her contribution, and the entire subsequent scene is basically him both working through the remnants of trauma from the experience but also laying it out in an considerate way for her, and apologizing for any pain he caused.
And then they get drunk and imply they’re going to have sex in a closing line. It’s peak Perc’ahlia and it makes me go insane

For your Tim experiment - I'm from the USA, friend bullying is pretty normal (I experienced both that and real bullying, which I do not recommend), and I don't think you hate Tim. I kind of did when I first followed you, but I can see now that you're more irritated with his more pushy fans than anything lol
So far everyone seems to be saying that friendly bullying is a thing at least somewhat where they live and that they came to realise that I don't hate Tim so that's all very fun tho I've not had any replys from the people who think I do hate Tim which I know you guys are out there come be apart of my experiments I'm finally using my degree for something

What don't you like about Manuela's A support with Edelgard?
I don't strictly dislike the support (though there are some parts I do in fact not like about it), but when I "ass-sucking" I meant more that Manuela is sucking Edelgard's ass for a good bit of it lmao. To go a bit into what I think about the support-
This is the only place ever, in the entire game, that Edelgard acknowledges the possibility of the Church having anything good about it, and she says it to a believer. Literally everywhere else - and I do mean, literally everywhere else - she has nothing but negative things to say about the Church. So it doesn't really come off as her actually acknowledging anything good the Church has done, but more her trying to play up to Manuela's beliefs. I doubt that was the intention, but that's just how it ends up coming across to me given how Edelgard acts and talks like regarding the Church in every single other instance. This also isn't exactly helped by the fact that it's through Hanneman and Manuela's paired ending that the Church becomes under Edelgard's domain entirely, which very well could just be a coincidence but certainly doesn't send me good vibes when thinking about exactly what Edelgard thinks the Church is good for, if you catch my drift.
Even being generous and leaving that more speculative feeling about the support behind - Edelgard acknowledges the good of the Church, never once actually proves what she thinks is bad about it, and in the same breath says that she can't overlook the bad she says is there with no proof just because the tangible, visible good is there. She is being blatantly willfully ignorant, refusing to acknowledge what is it she's doing because she has to be right about how horrible the Church is.
Edelgard then says that she's conflicted about destroying believers like Manuela's emotional and spiritual support. She still very much does not give a shit to the believers who, in her (derogatory) words, "leav[e] everything in the hands of a higher power." She only cares about believers who are strong like Manuela, not like the ones who believe in ways different from Manuela - the """weak""" believers who actually believe the goddess will come help them aren't a blip in her radar.
Those two things I don't dislike too much - it's a good showcasing of Edelgard's flaws imo. Yeah, she's willfully ignorant, and yeah she's pretty uncaring about the weak - this support ties up those two things about her pretty well. What I don't like about it is Manuela's response to that.
She just kinda... doesn't give a shit about the believers who aren't like her either. "The goddess is our silent foundation" and if that foundation is completely uprooted and destroyed because Edelgard destroyed the Church? Nothing. "It takes strength to do what you're doing" oh you mean killing innocent people? And again, destroying people's religion? Well, fuck, sure, I guess (in Claude's words) it does take a certain """resolve""" to pull that kind of shit, but I don't think it's something exactly worthy of praise ffs.
And then Manuela says that because of that strength of Edelgard's, she's an inspiration, she's the ~reason some people get out of bed in the morning~, Edelgard gives Manuela emotional support like the goddess does, and it's. Like. That's what I mean by this support being ass-sucking.
Like, on one hand I do still like this part of the support just because it builds onto the idea of Edelgard setting herself up as a new godly figure for the people of Fodlan to follow, which is an idea that gets cropped up a good few times in 3H. And going back to how Manuela and Hanneman's paired ending has Edelgard be in charge of the Church, the idea that followers are starting to see Edelgard the same way they saw the goddess - a being that pushes them forward and that is to be inspirational in their strength - holds hands very nicely with the idea that Edelgard is making herself a god in her own right. She's not strictly immortal, but she's viewed in the exact same way by her people otherwise, and Manuela propelling that concept forward isn't completely unappreciated.
But, like, fuck dude. It sure is convenient that the one believer Edelgard talks to about religion, that believer happens to be the exact kind of believer that aligns perfectly with Edelgard. Manuela is a good believer who is strong, not like those other believers who ~rely on the goddess.~ I'm conflicted because yes, I like the propelling of ideas Manuela does, but I also would've liked to see how Edelgard would've reacted to Manuela showing more empathy to believers who aren't like herself.
I think it would've been interesting to see what would happen if Manuela had told Edelgard some shit like "you know, it might do you some good to think about why you only care about hurting believers 'like me,' dear. The believers who, oh, what did you say? 'Leave everything in the hands of a higher power'? They're people too. You had better be sure you know what you're doing before you hurt them more than you already have." Like, just a little pushback? Just a smidge? Please?

Hello! I need medication for life to prevent my lungs from collapsing, this implies permanent treatment with steroids, oxygen therapy, control of oxygen in the blood and antibiotics to prevent the development of bacteria in the lungs.
I'm afraid I have to insist on this because it may be the only way to get my treatment.
I need medication for life to keep my lungs from collapsing, this costs around $700 per month.
Things are really tough on me,I can’t afford. Please donate🖤
Hello to all my followers, I really hope y’all don’t think I’m being too harsh on this person, but I feel like yall deserve nothing but full transparency, but in the age of lies & deception, it’s imperative that you look at everything with a level of scrutiny & not take it at face value, even if you yourself have good intentions & want to help people. But the fact of the matter is this: it’s never been easier to lie on the internet & play on the heartstrings of strangers
If you really are dealing with this, I’m so terribly sorry & I hope you’re able to receive treatment. I know first hand how horrible it is to have to deal with medical expenses on top of fighting just to live. My medicine that I have to get every 2 months is thousands of dollars & the medical care system is beyond fucked, so I absolutely get it if you need the funds
All that being said, it is very important to note that this isn’t the first post like this I’ve received in my inbox. The first 2 times it was someone asking for money to help pay for their cat’s surgery. On the surface, it looks legit, the pinned post explains the situation & has a picture of their cat. Within minutes of posting, I get another ask from a follower warning me not to fall for it & that it was a scam. I checked it out for myself, & the blog that only been existent for barely a day, same with the second account
You can understand my skepticism when an account I’ve never heard of sends me a message asking me & my followers to donate. Needless to say this skepticism only grew when I checked out the blog & saw it only goes back as far as 2 days, with lots of reblogged posts to fill up space to hopefully make it seem like a legit blog. (I know this is just speculation, but it is just way too similar to the others for me not to take notice. It’s all just real fishy to me) Add in the fact they sent this exact message within hours of each other & is a straight copy & paste of the pinned post, & it just leaves a sour taste in my mouth. It just seems very different from the legitimate donation request posts I’ve seen on here, & with the influx of bots & scammers on new accounts, it’s just best to air on the side of caution
Again, if you really are suffering from this I’m incredibly sorry & I really do hope you’re able to afford your treatment, but there are better ways to go about fundraising than going into a random stranger’s askbox, because at the end of the day it just makes you look real sus. There are medical assistance funds that you can apply for & they help to cover insurance co-pay & help you to get & pay for insurance if you don’t have any. I know that things can seem hopeless, but there’s always a light at the end of the tunnel & people who have the means to help

I've seen in twt and Tumblr rumours of changing the original script of Aegon's characterization in the show and making him a rapist on purpose just to make the audience side with Rhaenyra regardless of what she might do in the future. Now idk if it's true or not, but the more I think about it the more it make sense to me. Because Ryan before the show get aired was literally talking about how Aegon ii (alongside Aegon v) is his favourite Aegon of the Targaryens and that's because he is "grey" and he literally talked about how Aegon is not like joffery and joffery is a psychopath while Aegon is not etc... Combined with the suspicious absent of Daeron who doesn't get mentioned by anyone not even his own mother and how the show portrayed Aegon as much worse person than joffery (child arena is on Ramsay-level) all of this make think that these rumours are true. Because the show has make every white conservative male abuser side with the greens while make every Lgbt/poc character side with the black this is very politically charged. Making the Velaryons who are Valeryians (the whitest and most racist race in Asoiaf) black+ ignoring the fact that both of Corlys and Daemon are pedos+showing grooming as something romantic+ making larys not only a kinslayer but also a predator when he wasn't in the book+ changing the personality of a nasty character like Mysaria+making Rhaenyra a gay ally and has a good relationship with laenor when she was homophobic to him and he wasn't present in the lives of her children most of the time in the book. So it's very obvious that they wanted this civil war to be a simple bad guy vs good guy story.
I have reblogged a post about this very topic recently - it's not that it sounds unbelievable to me, because it doesn't, considering how divergent everyone was in their interviews. It's that it's so hard to verify if/how much of this is true? These people aren't going to the press and dissing each other off, airing their dirty laundry, because that would be unprofessional. But I'm still SO CURIOUS. Do you happen to know who is the source of these rumours? We need a deuxmoi of our own lol.

I'm annoyed and have been stewing in these thoughts for a few weeks, it's time to get it off my chest.
Despite their enthusiasm, i think i will not he working with the local marxist group here after all. Ive met with them a few times and honestly they fall into all of the classic shortcomings of white european leftist groups.
This group of upper middle class white swedes seem really and truly convinced that they will be the leaders of the great global revolution. They openly told me the first time we met that they are studying the literature to train the future leaders of the movement (the ego is just...wow). Dogmatic and enthusiastic, yes, but aware of the global currents happening right now, no. They dont see that capitalism is reliant on imperialism, and the idea that they might not be center stage when the workers of the world (most of whom live in the global south) rise up has never crossed their minds. They say they only want members who are serious and committed to the cause, but it really looks like they just want to create an echo chamber to boost their egos.
They think that boycotts and direct action are meaningless, as if disrupting the capitalist war machine is antithetical to their "great revolution". They use protests and demonstrations as opportunities for recruitment and to prosthelytize about reading theory. I watched them stand in front of a group of mostly migrants and refugees from syria, iran, palestine, and talk at them about the situation as if everyone showing up to a demonstration organization meeting wasnt already aware. As if refugees with family in the region wanted to hear this blond guy with a mustache posturing for Woke Points(tm) and say nothing constructive, dominate the conversation and ignore suggestions for action from people who have lived through the imperialist wars in SWANA.
Besides going to marxist conferences aka paid field trips, these people dont talk about any action if it's not directly about the great revolution and recruiting more communists, and place way too much emphasis on reading "the classics" (dont get me wrong reading theory is useful but its not the end all be all they think it is). And they dont read literary response/criticism to the classical theory, or modern interpretations, it's not "pure" enough. Theyre not just reading it for theory either, theyre literally and uncritically looking to 100 year old descriptions of society for instructions and methods for creating a revolution in the current day - descriptions which do not acknowledge climate change or indigenous sovereignty or the hyperconnected global economic system we live under - with no critical thought to how it must be adapted to the current epoch (i watched them shoot down all suggestions for organizing online and on social media, or provocative visual demonstrations, insisting that the only and best way to spread awareness is to stand in the hallways and pass out fliers to passersby like its still 1980 and sweden isnt already a paperless cashless society).
I made a comment about how soviet agriculture in west asia wasnt sustainable and got blank or disappointed faces in response. Which leads me to suspect that they idolize the ussr and have no intention to look at non european perspectives. I even tried to bring up the fact that we are currently on occupied sami land, sweden still has a literal actual monarch, living off of taxes and the imperial conquest of the sami people and neighboring countries. It got quiet, they did not want to have that conversation, they dont care beyond lip service about the rights of the indigenous people in their backyards (literally, theyre camped outside the city with their reindeer right now). Getting rid of the monarchy is not a priority, the concept of a monarch in the 21st century is not offensive or antithetical to their beliefs because the "great revolution" will take care of it anyway. Theyre not interested in actions, anything short of their fantasy of a total revolution is meaningless to them. These self proclaimed leaders of the revolution arent even interested in leading a push for an end to the monarchy which takes the workers' taxes to uphold an imperialistic remnant.
Like its basically a pay to play book club, theyre super insistent on the member fee being 10% of your income (even if you have no income you still pay) and it needs to be paid to participate in any of their group meetings etc. Like i get that they have a newspaper and printing press and a full time newspaper employee to pay for, but how is that not capitalistic? How is it not a class barrier, and especially when non-european students have to pay 5 figure tuition costs and they get to go to uni for free. The fact that their group is entirely 100% white and almost all swedes says volumes. And the fact that the palestine organizers have stsrted to schedule their meetings at the same time as the marxist group regularly does, almost like they dont want to work with these white guys who are trying to control the local solidarity movement.
When all you do is sit around reading literature and patting yourselves on the back for being special, when you look a refugee in the face and talk about revolution like theyre not the ones who have literally lived through it, when you are completely uninterested in taking action to fight imperialism in your own country, when you staunchly refuse to get with the times, why are you surprised nobody wants the 'revolution' youre offering them.

Also, could you go more into depth about 0° signs (specifically sun)? I only hear a lot about how the 29th degree is auspicious.
Yes, of course ! So, these are called critical degrees in astrology.
Planets at the 0 degree of a sign, indicate that you are starting a new beginning with the energy and earthbound day to day life manifestations of the planet. You have completed a cycle of reincarnations and experiences with it, and now you are given a new meaning, a new lifeline in this direction, a clean slate, so to speak, to explore other brand new and fascinating aspects of this planet.
For example, someone with The Sun in 0 degrees of a sign, is incarnated in this life to start all over again in their self expression on a course of a higher level than the previous cycle and lessons. The Sun is the planet of leadership and kingship. Indeed it made up powerful leaders, with totally new and even revolutionary ideas and vision. This can make for a very charismatic leader who is born to be seen. In a number of incarnations, starting from the current one, the person will be exploring a newer stream of their self expression and leadership and social norms of interactions and even be the initiator of such in this life. Maybe in a number of past lives, the person was incarnated in a society where they were forced to hide their light and their creative self expression, and now, here with a 0 degree sun, they are having their first taste of leading, and seeing what an impression this will make.
On the flip side, people with planets on the 0 degree also carry inexperience and unregulated impulse with this planet, which can create extreme manifestations, complications and mistakes, falling down and having to get up quite a few times until we get it right is the motto here. Take for instance having a sun in Leo, the focus to be seen for your creative talents will shine and your charisma will be highlighted, but you run the risk of an ego death, possible challenges with your audience if you go too hard without regulating these sun fuelled impulses. It’s all relative to the sign it’s in.
The 0 degree planet people are like the impatient but idealistic child at the birthday party waiting to blow out the candles, one who can entice others after them, break the status quo, but also create a lot of chaos in that area of life without tested practice. Having planets there is double edged sword, but with planets here it really becomes a prominent area in their life and even make them famous in some way-by being intense, an rule breaker, bringing innovations, unique ideas, exciting and novel experiences, breaking the boundaries, child like enthusiasm, idealism, a level of fame, brilliance or notoriety, rampant but difficult to control energy, many falls and starting over again, dare devil attitude, complications due to rushing or lack of common sense in that regard.
Hope this helps :)

emily wilson out here translating the iliad and i am once again wishing i knew how to read and translate ancient greek
#listen where there’s a will there’s a way but i just finished my degree audit and looks like i will only be able to manage a classics minor#with latin emphasis (unless i abandon latin for greek which i’m not going to do even though it pains me)#but i really want to make my own iliad someday….#at this rate i’ll only ever end up making a queer prose adaptation and be criticized for projecting modern notions of sexuality onto a#completely different set of values and social understandings of homosexuality….#(which. if anything there should be more gay people in the song of achilles. don’t be mean to me i promise i understand ancients)#anyway i might just have to make a book of poetry or a novel adaptation or whatever whatever but what if i want to learn the script#and painstakingly translate every single word through years and years of dedication. while also being a librarian as my main thing#shdhdhdf i’m never gonna be classics scholar enough to professionally translate. and if i were it would be latin. but i can dream….#anyway i’m no longer failing my french class (have a 70% that should only be going up) but i’m still failing historical linguistics#my latin grade is great i’m acing it but my library science class is a D (which should be fixed in two days though — just needs more data)#so i am giving myself permission to sleep early tonight and go into class well rested for once. i’m not feeling well but that’s a constant#anyways if anyone reads the wilson iliad let me know!! i’m a fake fan of her work and haven’t read her odyssey (something about the iliad….#there’s a brutality and a raw humanity to it that puts the odyssey at a lower priority to me) but im so freaking excited to read her iliad#i have to prioritize schoolwork but soon. i’ll have to ask my latin teacher about it tomorrow though she’s an iliad enjoyer#anyway good news i think i’ll be able to get a history major with certificates in digital studies and classical studies (the two genders….)#and graduate comfortably in four years with honors in the major. this is ignoring how i’m failing my classes. i promise i won’t be forever#anyways the point is: wilson’s iliad — i will read it as soon as possible and i’m very excited#also i checked out a book from the library called the lexicographers dilemma: the evolution of proper english from shakespeare to south park#but i haven’t had the chance to read it and soon it will be due…. college is evil i’m too busy learning things to learn other things!!!!#anyway if i do honors in the major then i’m excited to eventually earn credit from a capstone thesis which i would do on lexicography#throughout history with an emphasis on classification systems and basically peter mark roget#ok anyway. wandering all over the place but the point is. wilson’s iliad. very exciting. can’t wait to find the time#and eventually i will write an iliad adaptation of my own i will. just not a full translation shdhdf that’s an unrealistic goal#especially when again. my capstone project is going to be about taxonomy of ideas. ancient epics are secondary….#anyway i hope everybody is doing well!! i am going to bed soon-ish but other than that i am around so lmk if you need anything#me. my post. mine.#college talk#delete later

Honestly I can't dislike Tinghari's design, his colour palette is do unbearably please to my eyes especially compared to all the more basic colour combos in the game. Also big ears
Tumblr media
yeah honestly I don’t even think he’s that bad a design compared to what I’ve seen people saying about how badly they missed the mark with Nilou and Candice, or how that one pink one is just straight up an orientalist stereotype, or the issue with the archon, at worst he just seems to be a bit overcluttered. The dark green palette is nice and something that doesn’t get used a lot. I’m not super familiar with genshin though so I’m not sure if he’s supposed to be based of someone in particular, like how some of the other sumeru cast have names matching irl Persian and African historical figures
It’s really just a missed opportunity, and proof that they did have people who could make a dark skinned fantasy character who fit the world they had created and for whatever reason didn’t ask for that

What does it mean if you have to moon placements such as moon in 8th and 9th house?
hello! how are you? ;)
did you mean moon in 8th house last degrees?
if i understood correctly, currently i prefer to see that the placements that are in the last degrees manifest the characteristics of what we call critical degrees.
Critical degrees are placements that are at zero degree (0°) or at the last degree (29°), bringing a sense of urgency, of greater tension in that area. it's as if the person had to deal with a lot of disruptions during their life in that area.
for example:
Critical degrees in Sun: sense of constant search to understand who you are, urgency to demonstrate who you are, and in the end you know who you are, but you have many difficulties to demonstrate this, difficulties to live your essence without facing problems.
Critical degrees in Moon: sense of constant search for emotional security, feeling that you have a home, a inner "hunger" that has not been met yet. knowing what you need, what you want, what you feel, who you are internally, but at the same time not knowing how to demonstrate it or even experience it with yourself. there may be feelings that something is still missing for you to have experiences of emotional completeness, emotional expression of yourself or others towards you.
Critical degrees, generally speaking, mean things that will be experienced and that will feel "unavoidable". it brings urgency of change, redefinition.
today, idon't consider that the placements in the last degrees manifest the next sign/house.

I kind of get your point but also all art and creativity should be open to criticism. As an artists you have to have a thick skin. You can't go around expecting people to only have positive opinions. Negative and Positive deserve to be shared and as an artist you decide what you ignore. If I read a bad fic and choose to share why I dislike it the author can choose to ignore me, realize what the target audience is or isn't, or take the criticism to improve something.
People sharing negative criticism also helps audiences choose what they consume and that has value. It's like restaurant reviews you need to see the good and the bad where people say "lacked salt for my taste" to help make a decision.
full stop if you need other ppl's opinions to make your own decision on whether you should be reading something then you need to develop better skills. someone else's opinion shouldn't hold that much weight. just look at the thing yourself and decide.
i'm not going to get into a debate over this. but there is a time and place for criticism and there's a difference between offering someone constructive criticism to improve and leaving unnecessary mean comments or publicly dragging someone's work for the "bit" or to seem funny-ironic-whatever on tumblr dot com. reblogging someone's art or writing just to dunk on it is not okay. people in fandom are not making these things as a job, it's a fun hobby! i've been in professional and academic writing and art critique workshops. there is always a basic level of respect given when critiquing people's work. that etiquette is not often found online where people will tear apart someone's work under the guise of "constructive criticism." fandom artists and writers did not sign up for a workshop, they're not sharing their work for unsolicited criticism. they're doing it for fun as an act of sharing something they made with others who have similar interests !!!
if you can't appreciate they act of creation as a form of connection, joy, and love between people and can only think of how to tear others down because your need to "critique" something is so great then idk what to tell you. (also. what to "consume"? what has "value'? art and writing and really any creative work is not for consumption. things made of joy and creative expression and that are not actively harming anyone inherently have value)
anyways, treat people with basic respect and kindness. it's really not that hard. and, age old wisdom, if you have nothing nice to say don't say anything at all. if something is not "your taste" that's fine! no one is saying you're not allowed to have preferences. but you can just, quietly close out of a tab or scroll past an art post you don't like instead of feeling the need to comment your opinion on everything.

i enjoyed it, but it’s nothing new i haven’t seen or read necessarily with psychological thrillers. i was telling my friend the score reminded me of jordan peele’s us and she agreed. uhhh, florence’s performance was great as expected and i thought harry did well too - there were moments where he was very into character and it takes you aback a bit (if you’ve seen the spoilers, you know what i mean). i think there are some scenes that we could’ve went without and more development of things here and there. i liked the cinematography, esp the circle symbolism like the iris in of itself is reflexivity and the small scene where the camera serves as alice’s pov at the end ties nicely with that (i.e., her self-awareness of what’s actually going on). the trailers really did show quite a lot though - i remember sitting there like oh. i’ve seen this bit. i give it like a 6.5/10 maybe a 7, idk i’m not a big film person to begin with
