Season 2 of heartstopper was so beautiful and made me cry so many times BUT THIS SCENE, omg it was so beautiful. One of my favourite Taylor Swift songs in heartstopper!! This song belongs to Tara and Darcy. I loved all the hints to it:

“And we can be pirates” - Darcy suggesting that it should be a pirate theme for prom

When everyone was giving Darcy money for her suit and Tara was saying “I’ve got seven” (£7) and the song name is seven

Seeing moon and Saturn’s around (not sure if that’s just a coincidence though)

the lack of misogyny in heartstopper is so fucking refreshing. all of the girls in the show just LOVE each other. no jealousy. no cattiness. no competitiveness. elle, tara, darcy, imogen, and sahar are all just vibing together. in a world where literally every single tv show has women being pitted against each other, it makes me so happy to see full love, solidarity, and support amongst these leading ladies.

Cheers to Heartstopper for being one of the very few teen romance shows that doesn't make a big deal out of prom. Like yes, the characters are excited about making a grand entrance with cute outfits..... But that's literally all there is to it. Prom isn't life-changing, it's quite frankly boring, as Charlie mentioned. I loved how the group ditched prom and went to Nick's place to have fun.
