so we’re all familiar with the little animations that happen during important romantic scenes

but let’s talk about Issac. Issac spends most of the season confused about his sexuality and feeling that something is wrong with him.

When he discovers asexuality at the art school, he gets the leaf animation we’re used to seeing for the couples. When the art about crush culture is being explained to him, Issac can see that the artist is proud of being asexual; eager to explain his identity to a stranger viewing his piece. He is overwhelmed with the fact that he not only isn’t broken, but that his sexuality is something someone could be so proud of having.

The leaves still represent love, but instead of romantic love, it’s self love.

can we just take a moment to appreciate how amazing charlie is as a boyfriend

idk why it's not discussed enough

reasons why charlie is the best boyfriend ever :

how he always made sure nick didn't feel pressured or obligated to come out

how he asked nick if he was feeling okay before coming out to anyone

he told nick that it was okay to find coming out difficult

how he was there for nick when he was stressed about his GCSEs

how he took it upon himself to tutor nick (ioNick coMPounDs)

how he stood up to harry

he was unbelievably patient for nick to figure out coming out to his friends and family to the point that he neglected his own well being to make sure nick felt protected and got everything perfect for him

he made sure he was a safe place for nick to fall into

he made sure nick consented before being intimate with him

the way he made sure nick knew that he didn't have to have sex with him ever

he was the only person nick could show all his emotions to. the negative and the positive.

how he hugged nick after nick came out to his dad

All in all charlie is the most supportive, patient, soft, loving, wonderful, caring and UNDERAPPRECIATED boyfriend of all time

Issac running away when James kissed him. Issac's one tear right after that. Issac losing it with his friends cuz everyone has romantic expectations about him. Someone ik said that they don't like Heartstopper because "it's cinge and immature". My brother in Christ, they're 15/16! It's almost like 15-16 year-olds don't want to discuss how much money they're gonna put in their joint account for paying off their mortgage. Of course they're gonna want to make out every other second. Of course they're gonna get distracted by the sheer excitement of having a partner. I stg, sex, nudity and substance abuse has been so normalised in teen shows that people nowadays forget how an average teenager acts.

i will 1000% say that my favourite scene from the show that isn’t in the comics is the truth or dare kiss between charlie and tao.
