Y'all wanna see the very first art I ever put on the internet?!
It was the summer of 2001, just about to enter highschool.
I was VERY into coloured pencils at the time, and had only recently been able to reliably watch anime, thanks to Adult Swim. My head was FULL of tropes.
I also had access to my mom's scanner, which wasn't one of those fancy flatbed scanner, but in fact, it was a fax machine hooked up to a computer.
I also had access to my mom's photoshop.
and so I set out to add something to the drawing, because originally it was just the three subjects on an otherwise blank white page.
Drawing tablets were still pretty new at the time, and many were PROHIBITIVELY expensive, so everything had to be done by mouse.
Anyway, this is your reminder that art is a learning process, and it can take a long time, but there's no such thing as talent, and hard work and practice can make you into a great artist.

Finished Commission piece for @kudufawks of their character, Atanos, cringing at a painting of their shapeshifted self killing the God-King Garr. Something they regard as their worst day.
