Botanical Beauty: Poison Ivy's Lethal Elegance by Jade Gretz

Moonlight dripped through the skeletal branches of Gotham City's abandoned amusement park, casting eerie shadows on Pamela Isley, better known as Poison Ivy. Her emerald eyes, glinting with curiosity, scanned the overgrown foliage, not for prey, but for a rare specimen rumored to grow within the park's decaying heart. "The Widow's Bane," they called it, a plant said to embody misfortune as tangible as its toxic thorns.

Ivy scoffed. Misfortune? Mere superstition fueled by ignorance. Besides, what botanist worth her salt could resist the allure of such an anomaly? Her bare feet padded silently across the decaying asphalt, the scent of damp earth and forgotten laughter clinging to the air.

There, bathed in the cold moonlight, it stood. A twisted vine, unlike anything she'd ever seen, spiraled around a rusted roller coaster track, its crimson blooms drooping like macabre lanterns. An unsettling aura pulsed from it, a prickling on Ivy's skin that wasn't just the plant's toxins. Was it truly cursed?

Intrigued, she reached out, brushing a finger against one of the velvety petals. A jolt of icy pain shot up her arm, followed by a wave of nausea. Panic flared, but before she could retreat, the thorns dug into her flesh, drawing a bead of glistening green blood.

Then, darkness.

When she came to, the amusement park seemed different, darker, as if bathed in a perpetual twilight. People walked around, their faces etched with despair, muttering incoherent phrases. A feeling of heaviness descended on Ivy, an oppressive cloak of negativity. Had the Bane's curse seeped into her?

The first victim was an aspiring comedian, his jokes landing with thunderous silence. Then, a couple arguing on a park bench, their words twisting into venomous insults, the fight escalating to violence. Despair hung in the air, an invisible contagion spreading with each touch, each interaction.

Ivy knew she had to act. Ignoring the throbbing pain in her arm, she focused on the plant, analyzing its structure, its energy flow. It thrived on negativity, amplifying it a hundredfold. Finally finished this one just now. My take on a DCEU Martian Manhunter design in Zack's DCEU with General Swanwick as actually J'onn J'onzz. Just as Kryptonians have elements of chain mail from knights in Medival times in their clothes, I wanted to design MM by taking inspiration from Mayan/Aztec culture and African tribe culture combined. J'onn has Martian writing throughout his clothes, like Kryptonians have Kryptonian writing, such as "Serve" and "Manhunter". I wanted Martian culture to be a bit less advanced than Krypton, but still culturally rich. J'onn's costume is basically his police uniform from his world. Basically, what was originally a simple character concept, turned into a HBO MAX poster or something!I had this idea where, after Superman's sacrifice in BvS, General Swanwick is personally devastated, feeling he should've done more to help. So in order to see the world more in the way Superman saw it, and no longer deciding to hide in the shadows among humans, he would put on his "police uniform" again, in order to protect the world in Superman's honor. So his "superhero costume" has more meaning. A symbol of status in Martian culture. Like, a Manhunter is a highly respected protector of in their society, and that honor is only bestowed upon certain individuals. I thought up an entire backstory for this costume!

Verdant Seduction: Poison Ivy's Enigmatic Allure by Jade Gretz

Gotham City awoke to a heady fragrance, a sweetness both intoxicating and unfamiliar. It clung to the cobblestones, wove through the steel canyons, a perfumed shroud that promised escape from the city's perpetual grime. Under its intoxicating influence, smiles bloomed on the faces of even the most hardened Gothamites.

Pamela Isley, better known as Poison Ivy, watched the city succumb from atop her rooftop garden, a sly smile playing on her lips. No razor-sharp vines or monstrous plants this time. Today, her weapon was far more subtle, a synthetic pheromone she had concocted – Euphoric Bloom.

The first to succumb were the easily swayed. Petty criminals, their anxieties melting away, dropped their weapons and danced in the street. Bureaucrats, their faces softening, became shockingly efficient. But Ivy's true target was the heart of Gotham – its protectors and its villains alike.

Batman, ever vigilant, recognized the subtle shift before it overwhelmed him. He felt a tug at his usual stoicism, a desire for something… pleasant, unfamiliar. It was faint, but enough to trigger a throbbing alarm in his head. He retreated to the Batcave, the harsh red bat-signal an affront to the city's newfound cheer.

At the GCPD, Commissioner Gordon, notorious for his gruff demeanor, began humming a jaunty tune while meticulously filing paperwork. Harvey Dent, the Two-Face villain, stared at his coin, indecision replaced by a strange contentment. The very fabric of Gotham's duality seemed to unravel.

Across town, Harley Quinn, the Joker's flamboyant partner, skipped through the streets, her usual manic energy replaced by a strange tranquility. The Joker, devoid of his usual sadistic glee, sat by a window, staring listlessly at the cloud-choked sky. Gone was their chaotic dance, replaced by a disorienting stillness.

Ivy observed it all with amusement. Without the chaos that defined them, what were Batman and his rogues' gallery? Just ordinary people, stripped of their extremes. It was a victory sweeter than any plant she had ever cultivated.

Nygma was searching for a qualified adversary and finally found one in Lucius Fox. It was crazy how frustrated Nygma got when people couldn't answer his riddles, and he was even more so when Foxy couldn't answer the first two of his riddles.  It was amazing how Lucius was able to save Bullock from falling to his death. Not only is the man a brainiac, he must be Superman with all that strength.Fox figured out Nygma killed Penguin, and it was Fox who helped Nygma find his new persona! It was a thrilling moment.But the thrill of The Riddler may be cut short because guess who is alive and well? That's right. Penguin lives and it's all thanks to Poison Ivy.
