osamu likes it when you’re drunk. he thinks it’s kind of, well, cute.

he likes the feel of your heated skin when you lean in a little closer to him, holding his bicep for balance. (he won’t admit this to anyone, but maybe he just so happens to flex the muscle every time you hold on to it, too). the way your breathy laugh fans his lips as you have him stumbling to catch you before you fall has him wishing he could kiss the taste of alcohol off of your lips. he likes it when you’re drunk because he gets to hear your tiny mumblings as he’s tucking you into bed when you’re unable to do it yourself. you’ll whisper little nothings to the dark and him, mixed with quiet giggles and a softness that makes his heart melt. and when you quietly whisper “i love you” just as he’s brushing away some hair from your forehead, something in osamus chest bursts and begins to glow, because he loves you too.

osamu hates it when you’re drunk.

he worries for you, staying awake well into the early hours of the morning, wondering if you made it home safely because you haven’t texted him back. he despises the way strangers look at you as you stumble through the bar, looking you up and down predatorily as they begin to approach you whenever you happen to be alone. mostly, though, osamu hates it when you’re drunk, because you’ll smile and giggle as you trace patterns into his skin, all while you call him by his twin brother’s name. atsumu, you’ll say, with all the stars reflected in your eyes, i love you.

all osamu can do is look away as tears prick his eyes and that glowing is his chest dies out like a flame in the wind.
