wow i rly thought i could answer this without a read more but i have LOTS TO SAY!!!!!!! everything else under the cut:

quiet town... how it's about the dark underbelly of this small town and how people willfully look away from tragedy and how tragedy manifests itself in that kind of community and how it does or doesnt fit the narrative already scripted for this place... "things like that aint supposed to happen in this quiet town, families are tight, good people still dont deadbolt their doors at night" like shut up!! parentdale... this one to me is about the generational trauma handed down from their own parents and how it repeats itself... and how the narrative of "this is a good town nothing bad can happen here" existed for artie and bunny and prudence and everyone too and some of them (fp) know that was always bullshit but others (fred) were fed the narrative that the good old days were better and bought into that to an extent until they couldnt anymore... its about all the bad shit that happened to them when they were kids and how it was swept under the rug. oscars death comes to mind too...

terrible thing.... would it be unkind of me to call it fps song... i mean really its all of them when they were teens locked away in their bedrooms fucked up and the terrible things they were on the verge of were many (the abortion alice didnt get comes to mind but there were much worse things too) and also the way the first lyric ("the parking lot is rammed with shotgun pickup trucks/ at the jones rubber plant where all the guys end up/beer-drinking boy scouts living life like they ain't stuck") HITS!!! for fredsythe. and its a masterpiece of 'this town is a machine and spits you out into this hopeless mold where you just drink with the boys after working all day' and how thats fps story but also how its subtly about masculinity and the failure to fit that mold is also a failure to live up to a masculine ideal... much to think about.

cody is almost my favorite track off the album I love it so much. there's no character I think of specifically for it but the way Brandon flowers said it was an amalgamation of guys older brothers he knew is making me go batshit feral. pressure machine is for all of them!! the way it's about having your hope slowly crushed, ("hope will set your eyes agleam" is them when they were young teens so hopeful.... fp thinking he could be on the football team and pretend to be northside, Penelope thinking she was being adopted by a loving family, alice thinking she could overcome her roots, fred thinking he could play pro ball, etc) growing up in this small town where everyone expects something different of you and you lean into some expectations, you fight against others, but either way your surroundings and upbringing and that pressure forms who you are and then you've lost your innocence and your life is just slipping away faster and faster ... i think this is the best song on the album by far I adore her

and then the getting by ("I know some who've never seen the ocean" ) and these small town people, how there's dignity in this simple living that their parents had and all they can do is get up every day and "hold on till the getting's good" and that's what they've always done... tis parentdale

hi can we get some zaley friendship headcanons whenever you're free? ☺️

im not the best at headcanons just bc of the way my brain functions but im gonna do my best for you, sunny my friend. let’s go zay and riley let’s go!

thrift shop buddies!! one of the most common ways that they hang out is definitely going thrifting. considering they arguably have the two most eclectic wardrobes on the show, this makes sense. esp i fully believe they’re the perfect people to thrift shop with where they encourage each other to try on everything, even if it seems outlandish (and sometimes even more in those moments). that’s the only way to really get some good finds! and i feel like, beyond S1, when they wear items for performances in the show that are clearly unique / seem thrifted, it’s more than 50% likely the other helped them pick it out at some point

on this note, i think that they both have really good senses of what looks good on the other bc they spend this time together, probably better than anyone else (yes, including their significant others. not that that’s hard, since both of their significant others have notoriously bland fashion). like even when theyre not out together i can totally imagine them seeing something and being like “oh this is so riley / zay” and getting it for each other. they know each other’s sizes and have like an ongoing swap credit system gfJSKHJDLFH

riley and zay usually run performance by the other person before they perform them for the class / at an audition. like they find a specific time (usually during breakout sessions during class) to get in front of the other person and run them through their concept + do a run-through for them. they just really appreciate the other’s perspective, especially since they tend to complement each other -- zay is able to identify places where riley could heighten things or add some flair or just like... assert her talent more lmao, whereas riley helps zay pull back on some of his more overwhelming instincts when necessary or find the moments to truly lean in emotionally rather than blowing us out of the water the whole time

if we could actually Watch the show, i guarantee 9/10 times when riley or zay is performing, we would cut to the other enjoying the performance. like theyre always bobbing their head along and truly feelin the other’s performances. excellent vibes luv!

i also think they harmonize well with each other, which is why its kind of a shame they dont do more performances together within the context of assignments (as for why, couldn’t tell you... it might just be a weird psychological thing of like i have These people i perform with when it matters and these who are just for fun... like maybe zay and riley tend to see each other as easygoing comfortable duet partners and thats why they try not to overdo putting pressure on it). but yeah they absolutely have days where they just hang out in one of the rehearsal studios and play around on the piano and try to find ways to harmonize on their favorite songs. this is some of the best singing riley ever does, bc its so low stakes and fun

i also think that honestly, zay really helps strengthen riley’s vocals over the time they’re friends -- especially early on. riley is someone with good raw talent but she’s never thought about honing it seriously prior to joining aaa, whereas zay has been on a career mindset since he was little. so he is good at teaching her like small technique things or helping her expand her range and she really values that esp bc hes so selfless about giving it, but it doesnt come off naggy or unnecessary like maya’s advice often does

sometimes it can be hard for them to find songs they both wanna sing though bc their music taste is so different. i think they have like three small categories where their favorites overlap -- select big names (sza, chloe x halle), jazz / old-time crooners (frank sinatra, nina simone, and the like), and select musical theater. but i think this is mainly on zay, bc he’s much more picky about music than riley who will give anything a listen without much nudging. as we know zay likes to pick on his friends’ music taste (like charlie and harry styles / 1d) and i don’t think riley would escape this affectionate teasing. they exchange song recs and riley gives him like her usual piano ballad-y sara bareilles tswift rachael yamagata energy and shes like oh yes, another piano ballad and hes like STOP!!! JUST LISTEEEENNNN GFSJKLHJFDSKLHKDLFH

that said though, they’re definitely go-to friends when it comes to like checking out a new local artist or coffeeshop open mic nights. this is probably a typical zay / riley / yindra outing

zay doesn’t spend a ton of time watching tv bc “he has better things to do with his time,” but riley and zay are definitely the type to watch a show together. like not always Together, but they’ll try to keep up with each other so that they can talk about it (and riley has to try really hard not to keep binging and get way ahead of zay). theyre good at this bc they can have really intense and opinionated conversations about it but in a way where its like safe and neither of them feel like theyre actually being judged / are stupid if they disagree (something thats not common for riley, and zay usually is trying to discuss media with super strong personalities who aren’t great at Debating).

in general, though, they tend to agree on favorite characters / relationships. for example, they both hate rachel berry -- which always gets maya and farkle extremely heated if they’re around. i can only imagine why...

they’re also definitely safe-space vent people for each other. they don’t use the privilege all that often bc i think both of them try to like keep their cool and not get hung up about things, but if they really just have to pop off about something they know they can go to the other person and they’ll actually Listen and keep it under wraps rather than either spilling it to everyone else and/or immediately trying to problem solve rather than just listening to the Emotions. and it’s helpful bc for the most part, their friends don’t actually really overlap that much, so they don’t really like harbor the emotions the other person unloads on them or let it affect their dynamics with other people? like riley can talk about dasher and zay can talk about yingel without it having any ripple consequences bc theyre different circles.

for example, i can totally see riley talking to zay about how she feels like -- at first -- asher doesn’t really like her and won’t really let her in and like he doesn’t want her to join the friend group (even tho that isn’t really true). like she can’t talk to dylan about it bc she’s not going to put him in that position and she’s not foolish enough to think that’s a good idea, she can’t talk to lucas about it bc he like doesn’t get stuff like that gFJKHGLFJSDLH and also he has such a set impression of asher it would be hard for him to understand it from her perspective. zay has none of that, so hes a good person to listen to her nerves about it.

the only times this gets kind of complicated / janky is in the midst of zay x charlie stuff where riley is kind of unintentionally (or, sometimes, intentionally) in the middle. like, zay trusts her not to go telling charlie what he says about him, but he knows they’re good friends too, and its an awkward position to put her in. but still, i think when zay is really hurt or frustrated he’ll snap sometimes and just vent out all his anger about charlie to riley in one foul swoop, and she’ll just absorb it like a sponge without judgment and then not bring it up again. but you can also see little ways where this puts pressure on their friendship, like how when he was drunk in 304 zay expressed resentment towards the fact that riley also talks to charlie and sometimes he feels like she puts him first, even though that isn’t true. it’s just..... a very very complicated (and interesting, if emotional) situation with that trio.

that being said, when things are Good, i think that zay feels comfortable talking about his significant others (including charlie) with riley. he doesn’t really get too Detailed about anything personal or anything, but they definitely discussed charlie in s2 in the small window of time where riley knew and zc wasn’t actively imploding LMAO. on the flip side, riley doesn’t really talk to zay about her relationships, but only bc her relationship is lucas GJFSKLJHLKDJHFLDSH. like anyone else she’d be like okay sure this is fine but she knows zay finds lucas annoying 65% of the time and talking about him in a romantic context grosses him out so she respects that LMAOOOO. hysterical

in general, if they’re gonna hang out, they usually go to either a local coffee shop they like (like svorskis) or each other’s houses. its kind of a relief to have a person they can just take anywhere and have around their parents with no trouble at all, considering both of them are used to having a boyfriend who cant be seen in their house (for different reasons). and theyre comfortable enough that like i think when they hang out at their houses, they just spread out in the living area of both bc theyre not hiding anything, its like very lowkey and comfortable

that being said, riley doesnt spend much time in zay’s usual studio at school. most people don’t, its a place zay now likes to be alone (and it feels weird with someone else being there who isnt charlie)

as for how they come off to their families, the babineauxs love riley. jada has met her a couple of times and thinks she’s super sweet + zay could afford to learn a thing or two from her like how to chill the fuck out (cue zay going shut the fuck up). donna is excited that zay has another friend who isn’t batshit intense about stuff like maya / farkle, she figures yindra has the diva best friend role covered and zay needs more friends like nigel and riley to ground him. she’s right about this.

cory likes zay, but he also does have some prejudices from the teaching perspective about how zay doesn’t pay attention in class half the time and blows off his assignments -- but this isn’t partially because cory isn’t a great teacher and his assignments suck. so the feeling is mutual, tho zay gets along better with cory in a neutral, polite sense than say, asher and dylan, where it’s like guerilla psychological warfare. topanga has no opinion about zay bc riley doesn’t introduce her friends to her (wisely).

they’re still very common lunch buddies. essentially when riley isn’t eating with the techies (which is only when lucas is there usually) or bothering lucas in the booth once a week, she’s with zay (which usually also means nigel, yindra, and farkle, though not always)

ultimately, i think that when someone asks riley who her best friend is, her mind will always jump to zay first. not even because theyre necessarily the closest at any given time, but because he really was her first life raft at aaa and he extended that kindness to her in a moment where she was so used to being brushed aside, talked over, ridiculed -- and you don’t forget that. it stays with you. so when she thinks about her Best Friend, speed round answer, he will always come to mind first. i think she greatly admires his skillful balance of confidence and compassion, his sarcastic sense of humor, the way he gets so passionate about dance and music and how these elements come together, and his inarguable kindness that is at his core and so fundamental to everything he does (even when his more known reputation is a bit more barbed and witty).

on the flip side, i think riley came into zay’s life at the exact moment he needed it. we know he felt isolated in s1, and even though i think he thinks of nigel and yindra as his first-to-mind best friends, riley was a breath of fresh air who allowed him to be himself with someone who wasnt going to judge him on past decisions or impressions. just like he gave her the chance to define herself in his eyes with his extension of company on that first day, she does the same for him by not making assumptions about him and learning who he is on their terms. i think she’s also just a really great, measured system of support -- she’s not busting his balls or keeping him in check like yindra and nigel do (except when its really needed, like 304), but she isn’t as in awe / romanticized with him like charlie. i think he appreciates that he can go to her for an honest perspective, but she’ll take the care to deliver that honesty in a gentle way. it’s like, he’s tough enough to take a hit, but sometimes its nice to know you have someone who will be kind with you even then.

that’s what is at the core of their friendship overall. kindness.

Its headcanon time again! This time featuring Tom:

-Name a pop song. Any pop song. Tom knows it, and can sing it. He likes other musical genres too, of course, but he likes pop songs and ballads cause they are catchy and great for dancing.

-Tom’s dad (Dave) has a terrible temper, and so he and Tom argue a lot. After Tom started to go to therapy, he realiced a lot of his anger comes from his dad, so Tom cant help blame him, and they pretty much stopped talking to each other. They slowly rebuild their relationship, but only after Tom realized blaming Dave for all his problems will fix nothing. After this, Dave start going to therapy too (he and Tom do group therapy together sometimes).

-Let’s face it: Tom doesn’t have many friends. Or any at all. He sometimes get along with some of the underworld citizens, but only so far, cause for them, Tom is too soft to be a Demon. And for the Mewmans, Tom may not be a “monster”, but he is not pleasent to be around. So Tom lived most of his life without fitting anywhere, and being super alone and rejected. Thats it until Star appeared...

-Tom loved Star from the moment he saw her. Unfortunaly, the first time they were together, he was too clingy and jealous, and demanded Star to spend time only with him (in fact he and Ponyhead probably argued a lot, considering she is Star’s bestie...). Eventually Star broke up with Tom, and he was devastated. Cause i mean, without Star, he is left alone! He felt she was the only one that actually understood him...

-Related to the above, part of Tom’s therapy had to do with him coming to terms, not only with his break up with Star, but with how toxic and needy he was to her. He was putting all his happyness in her hand, and demanding and expecting too much from her, and thats what drove her away (plus his Anger Issues, of course). One could say that he hold Star in a pedestal (kind of like what Marco did to Jackie).

-Since they got back together, Tom is trying very hard to be a better person, and let star be HER own person, and not be so clingy. It’s difficult, but he is trying, for Star and for himself. He wants to be better, and not be so dependant on her.

-The thing about Marco that impressed Tom the most, was Marco’s intelligence, and his ability to solve problems without fighting, just talking and planning. Tom’s main way of handle with things is with violence, but Marco showing him other way, and he respect Marco a lot for that.

-Ping pong is actually the official sport of the Underworld and Tom is the junior champion. He will grow to be three times champion.

-Tom’s Mom cant, or wont, speak any language that is not Demonic. She can understand english tho, and a lot of other Earth languages. Plus, whenever she speaks, she does so in a whisper, cause she is so powerful that if she raises her voice, she could destroy entire cities. Plus she knows Sign Language. Tom knows some words, too. And Spanish.

-Tom probably would be a pretty good bass player, but he is too lazy to study music. He prefers to dancing, cause is a better outcome for his energy. He could be a killing drummer, too.

-Tom doesnt like Janna too much, mostly for her insistence in learning the supernatural arts. She probably summons Tom on a regular basis, asking him for power in enchange for her soul and, like, Tom wants nothing to do with that! 

-Usually, Tom gets a new minion everytime there is something he wants or needs, and then forget about them. Brian and Mr Candle are his most faithfull servants, and they both sold their souls to Tom.

-I talked about this before, but i have two theories as to what are the souls inside Tom. The first one is that they are the Souls of the Damned that were doomed to the Underworld. Now, while these souls reside in the Underworld, Tom’s soul is like a portal, so all of these suffering souls have a free travel inside Tom’s Body.

-My other theory is that all of those are the souls of the Old Kings and Queen of the Underworld, and they live and are a part of Tom’s soul (think like the Avatar in ATLA). Usually, the Souls only possess the body of the actual King or Queen once they get crowned, but Tom was born with them in his body. I now both theories are convulated, but i like them both still (but i think i prefer the second one).

-Janna summoned Tom to a Sleepover once. Jackie was there. She and tom became instant friends, even if Tom thinks jackie is not a normal mortal, cause no mortal can be THAT chill.

-Even after Jackie and Marco broke up, she and Tom kept being friends (in fact they probably became friends AFTER the break up). Marco was not happy about this. Tom was worried Marco might hate him, and he decided to stop being friends with Jackie. She was having none of this, cause Marco should not have a choice in who Tom or Jackie were supposed to be friends with. Tom gave her the reason. Jackie punched him in the arm for being stupid. Then Tom punched marco in the arm. “From Jackie”, he said.

Welp its so fucking late right now so i better be going. I’ll write more headcanons if i think of them!

New Look Sabres: GM 63 - PHI - Brandon Montour

The Flyers tonight are a really tough pill to swallow. Ugly mascots that end up changing the game aside, overly optimistic Sabres fans such as myself have been looking up in the standings at who these guys can catch, rather frustratingly so as of late. With a Flyers win tonight they surprise the Sabres from behind and hop ahead of them in the standings. Can you imagine that violent, orange cookie monster impersonator surprising you from behind? Want to hear another surprise from behind, no this isn’t a sex joke: Marco Scandella paired with Brandon Montour. OH VETERAN, MY VETERAN! WHATSOEVER WOULD COACH HOUSLEY DO WITHOUT YOU! Housley’s prioritization of veteran minutes is going to be a whole paragraph in the Season Retrospective isn’t it? Yea, THE SEASON RETROSPECTIVE THAT WILL HAPPEN IN APRIL IF HE CAN’T PROPERLY UTILIZE THIS ROSTER! Ok, stop, Andrew. Optimism; remember the optimism with which you started this blog. Ugh, what different days those were. Speaking of not making the playoffs, let’s talk trash about the last team the Sabres played in the playoffs! Philadelphia, the past of this match up it that old ballad about working class cities just smashing their blue-collar lunch pals at each other as hard as possible. The world and the NHL has changed and now a playoff matchup between these two teams looks more like it would be a speed-skill bonanza then any kind of grit-for-grit hockey men party. The Sabres are building something new while the Flyers are copying the Penguins model: yeah, I said Penguins! Sabretooth wasn’t wearing pants when Gritty wasn’t even a sparkle in Jakub Voracek’s eye yet! 2011’s rematch is a going to go for the Sabres in 6, you sloppy copycats. That was fun; too bad it’s going to make this next part harder. This was the night the playoffs died. But no, you’re New Look Sabres, you preach taking a New Look at this team time and time again! How can you say its over!? Well, eight points with twenty games left will do that to you. Luckily, we’re not focusing on that tonight.

New Flyer Ryan Hartman set the tone of this game leveling Rasmus Dahlin along the boards early. Zach Bogosian and the old-time hockey alliance came crashing in like you know and instigator penalty, other penalty, whatever-whatever it panned out to nothing. Want to know why contemporary hockey fans don’t give a shit about keeping fighting in the game old boys club? It doesn’t help. At best it gives your team a moderate morale boost at worst it chops years off dudes’ lives. Whatever, it didn’t help the Sabres win this game. If the Sabres weren’t outshot each period they were certainly outplayed. By eight minutes in the Flyers were already up 2-0 on the backs of Oskar Lindblom and Jakub Voracek. Let’s get something out of the way: this loss wasn’t because of Carter Hutton. He was left out to dry and when we look back on this season their will be poetry in that. More and more every year this club is Jack Eichel and friends. Our favorite Patriots fan put this team on his back and made us believe again like Tom Brady! Ok, that was gross to write. I’m sorry you had to read that. I’m going to collect myself now. Jack Eichel did get the puck from Skinner and did toe drag a fucking bullet in there, but the period ended 2-1 and even the grossly optimistic types like me still kind of felt this crap wasn’t going to get much better. Like the cold, cruel march of time closer to death the Sabres would get scored on once they began to give us hope. 15 minutes into the second period James van Riemsdyk redirects a puck in front and gets the orange boys up 3-1. What is that? This is one of those game Casey Mittelstadt flashes the kind of brilliance we’ll get from him on the regular in a year and a half or so? Awesome, New Sabre Brandon Montour gets the play going in the defensive zone that would eventually end in Casey Mittelstadt tapping in a goal via Evan Rodrigues and Conor Sheary. 3-2 Flyers would be the high-water mark of this game for the Sabres as the only positive highlight of the third period would be Travis Sandheim doing his Sabres ten game winning streak impression and crashing the net less then a minute in to get the Flyers their two-goal lead back. Whatever whatever, Claude Giroux, whatever whatever, can you believe they eliminated Caelynn on the Bachelor, whatever whatever; Sabres lose 5-2 in regulation and give up another spot in the standings falling to a full eight points back. The Panthers might still win their game at the posting of this and they can hop over the Blue and Gold too because irony has no bounds in the season of the ten-game winning streak that saw no playoffs.

So yes, it’s not over until the fat lady sings. There is a ridiculous scenario where the Sabres win 65-75% of their remaining games to sneak into the playoffs. As I began saying last night, start cushioning the blow now, fam. Enjoy what’s left of the ride but start thinking about what’s for dinner. I’m letting my soccer side out starting now. Hell, I just posted on my politics blog for the first time in like a month. Let loose, Spring is officially 21 days away even if playoffs aren’t. However, this is not how I’m ending the blog today. No sir: we have a new player to celebrate. Brandon Montour had about as decent a game as you can have in a loosing effort on the road when your new coach insists on putting you with a negative player that is really only in because he’s been in the league for a while. I mentioned Montour being the catalyst of the Mittelstadt goal play earlier, but Montour made some good moves in this game. He broke up a lot of opposition passes in the defensive zone, more than you expected before with this Sabres defense. For all you suburban hockey dads he also laid out a decent hit or two in the third period that feels right in a game against the Flyers. He made his mistakes too, struggling in the offensive zone shortly before the JVR goal. Nonetheless Montour is a clear addition to this team and if shit ever gets better here for a Sabres fan I have a feeling #62 will be a part of it. This one just hurt, and I very much look forward to turning my attention to the Rochester Americans for tomorrow’s Amerks Angle update. When I heard ‘Going Seventeen’ in December I thought “Now they have reached The Top for music quality” and I was a little bit scared that they couldn’t hold up to that in the future.

For me 'Alone’ totally outdid 'Going Seventeen’ and now I’m sure they will continue releasing amazing music in the future while trying (and owning!!) many styles and still remaning Seventeen-ish.

Individual Songs:

- Dont Wanna Cry: a masterpiece wtf. I loved it from first listen and you can see how much they have grown looking at the way they distributed the song compared to 'Adore U’. Mingyu and Wonwoo shine as the main rappers here and they fit soo well into it. Also the vocal distribution its much even. China line still doesn’t have much lines BUT they are center and stand out in dancing. Finally they figured out how to showcase their talents in tittle songs :’). ALSO THE CHOREO HOLY SHIT FUCK.

This song its the least seventeen-ish, it doesn’t have that funky-fresh sound to it but who cares?? They fit so the concept so well and they’ve wanted to do a cooler concept for a while, I think the boys will enjoy this era a lot and so shall we as well.

-Abuse/Mutual Words(Vocal Unit): Honestly v/u songs seem kinda boring to me most of the time, and I always hoped for them to step away from the ballads and do something more upbeat. This is not it. BUT it is my favorite v/u song so far!! Its still a slow song but it has a spice to it, kinda like a 70s ballad? i love the spin they gave to it. its more momorable than past songs and I’m here for it.

-If I (Hip Hip Unit) : hh/u has had 2 types of song in the past, either softsoft or swagswag and this song finally found the *perfect* balance between the two. Still not sure if it beats check in or cant see the end tho... but its definitly chillin up there. Refer to this song for Vernon’s BEST verse :). One thing tho: I think this song could do w/o the drop :/ I mean I like it but it doesnt add too much to the mood of the song? idk anyways its still a bop

-Swimming Fool (Performance Unit): A BOP!!! I couldn’t help but dance to it in the highlight medley. Its kind of a softer EDM more chilly and cool, super funky and unique just like p/u. It’s not Highlight but it has its own spot in my heart :’) the whistles tho like... bictch p/u invented whistleling. bp? i dont know her. Its hard NOT TO dance to this!!

-My I (Jun X The8):... bish................... how do.. how do i .. talk about thi.s?? like... expectations? exceeded. wig? gone. china? saved.

Ok so, first the beat its so tropical but its not mainstream? Its kind of.. arabic? idk man it reminds me of Ed Sheeran and Lambada??? It doesnt sound like Lambada but still lmao. It’s so unique?? I wasnt ready fam. Ok next its their vocal performance..... killer. Jun’s voice its so mature and steady I think he could carry a whole song by himself tbh :/ Also The8 on the second verse like.. rap king wtf. Whoever thought of the “my iaYAYAYAYAYAYAY~” its a genious and deserves an award immediatly please. ALSO THE LYRICS?? They are sooo cool!!! like!!! my baby hao its so cool!!!! let him write everything seventeen says from now on @pledis@woozi . A music video of this would be appreciated :) no ot13 tho... just 3:03min of chinaline existing. Thank you.

-Crazy in Love: Title song material tbh, like too much title song material its suspicious, I DEMAND music video!!!!!!!!! Its so funky-fresh but mysterious at the same time, so seventeen, the most seventeen-ish song in the album, or ever. Also the choreo: best choreo seventeen has done, super creative and fun 11/10. They speak so much english here but I bet no one noticed lmao. Its so catchy and fun... like if Fast Pace and Boom Boom had a child? Its perfect really. As you have notices I would rather have this song as title for an upcomming album than having it be a B-side :/ kinda disapointed...... unless they do an actual coo music video for it!!!!!!!!

Overall: I love it. Spectacular. Amazing. Show stopping. Never-seen-before.

No but really, this album has a very specific mood and its not their most “diverse” album genre wise, however I dont think thats a crime since all songs are actually good, great quality, masterpieces. I’ve always tought that after Love&Letter their album quality skyrocketed like crazy but I wasnt sure it was gonna last and with Alone I’m SURE Seventeen will continue making extraordinary music for us :’)

There is visible growth in some members that for me stood out in a way or another that I’ve personally never felt before: Migyu (his rapping is much steadier and more “his” ukno?) and Jun (between highlight and my i he showed us he had a wider range tha we have been led to believe, i smell lines soon).

I give this album a :
