BG3 headcanons (modern AU)
My brain is full of headcanons and I need to get them out!
Shadowheart: She’s an English teacher. Always advocates for her queer students, who see her as a refuge. Loves sweets and pastries and is always carrying a snack in her backpack. Dyes her hair once a month, different colour every time. Chronically online, Tumblr and Twitter user, has the best taste in memes out of all the gang. Writes poetry and fan fiction. Grew up in a cult and lives with religious trauma, but she goes to therapy and does her very best.
Astarion: He’s a lawyer, of course. Has an impeccable aesthetic in his instagram profile, with a defined palette. Very good taste in clothing. He was physically and emotionally abused by his stepfather when he was a kid and hasn’t really worked through this trauma (Shadowheart always encourages him to go to therapy). Very close friends with Shadowheart.
Minthara: Lawyer, but has specialised in finance and has rapidly climbed the financial ladder via questionable methods. CEO of a major company. Impeccable taste in fashion. Vegan. Has a section in her closet filled with BDSM paraphernalia. Everything she owns is expensive. She’s the daughter of a powerful senator who was very emotionally abusive to her growing up. Staunch defender of capitalism. Wakes up naturally at 5 am. Does yoga and tai chi.
Lae’zel: She’s in the air force, has wanted to be since she was a girl. She’s in the spectrum and has only recently realised. Her special interests are planes and meteorology. Wakes up very early to run 10k. Extremely mindful about her eating, every meal is perfectly balanced for her specific nutritional needs.
Karlach: Non-binary. P.E teacher, works at the same school as Shadowheart and that’s how they met and started dating. Loves large dogs. They are a personal trainer on the side. Loves going to the gym and is very supportive of new people. Friends with Wyll since high school.
Jaheira: Anthropologist, environmental and anti-gentrification activist. Has lived in her neighbourhood forever and hates that it’s getting gentrified. Being a local icon and leader, a few political parties have tried to get her to run for office but she always refuses because she doesn’t trust the establishment. Has been arrested multiple times at demonstrations. She’s so devoted to her activism that she has neglected her children at times. Chain smoker.
Halsin: Environmental lawyer. Has worked in multiple NGOs. Has been to therapy. Single, not for a lack of suitors, but because he wants to find a life partner. Has been a vegetarian for decades. Has a bear tattoo.
Wyll: Entrepreneur. Devoted to The Grind™. Has taken classes on gender politics. Goes to the gym with Karlach and uploads mirror selfies. Has asked Minthara to be his mentor but she keeps refusing. Has also been to therapy.
Gale: Successful academic. Has been going through a terrible divorce with another famous and powerful academic. Excellent cook, makes his own sourdough bread. Likes the finer things in life.
Bonus: My OC, Ramona
Literature major but has no academic ambition whatsoever. She does know a lot about it and runs a literature club for troubled teenagers with Shadowheart.
Was working as a barista when she met Minthara and was immediately enthralled.
Has shared a flat with Shadowheart since uni, and they’re best friends.
She’s easily the funniest one in the gang.
Always manages to get free stuff or discounts just because of how nice and persuasive she is.
Excellent liar (white lies, mostly).
Wears recycled clothing almost exclusively, which Minthara hates.
Everyone hated Minthara when they first started dating but over time, as she changed, they managed to put up with her, even growing fond of her (most of them).
I’ve been trying to write some fics but I can’t seem to find the courage to. I enjoy coming up with headcanons more

Yarrow, do you happen to have any good vegan recipes that you'd be comfortable sharing on tumblr at all? Have been trying to eat way less meat and am somewhat hankering for more recipes than my two vegetarian cookbooks have. (Hope you're doing well!)
sure thing! it might get a bit long because i really like food. you know how some dogs are primarily food-motivated and will do anything to get a treat? i am one of those dogs lmao
i'm really bad at making decisions, including what to eat, so lately i've been "stealing" some recipes from Purple Carrot. the whole meal plan/food delivery thing doesn't seem practical to me, but they post all their recipes for free online and i really enjoy a lot of their ideas, just modifying them a bit for my own needs. for example last night i made this Crispy Harissa Tofu, except a) didn't have fresh mint available so i used dried basil; b) had raisins in my pantry already so i used those instead of currants; c) couldn't find harissa locally so i literally just used sriracha, and made a separate dijon mustard-based glaze for my husband who can't handle spice; and d) i'm okay with honey so i used that instead of agave. (maple syrup or simple syrup works too as a vegan sweetener) ...so a lot of my cooking is stuff like that, finding a recipe and only vaguely following it. i've been modifying Purple Carrot ideas for maybe the last month and a half or so. only having 8-15 recipes to choose from helps a lot with my decision fatigue so i might be doing this for a while xD
here's some more websites that i like to look at for inspiration:
From My Bowl
The Buddhist Chef
Minimalist Baker (not everything here is vegan, but still a lot of good, simple ideas)
Cheap Lazy Vegan (the title of this one says it all <3)
Shane and Simple (i don't agree with the whole diet-culture flavored "oil free" thing, but i remember really liking a squash casserole i made from here before)
Plant-Based on a Budget (i followed some of their meal plans back when i was first going vegan and they were very helpful! i got sick of oatmeal real fast though and am only in the last few months enjoying it again)
Pinch of Yum (again, not all vegan, but still plenty of ideas)
Holy Cow Vegan
Rabbit and Wolves
Here's a few easy staple dishes that i fall back on regularly:
-spaghetti: you can spruce up canned marinara by first cooking onions and garlic in margarine before adding the sauce, and get some protein in there by either using plant-based "meatballs", lentils, or textured vegetable protein. you can also make a nice mock-parmesan topping by adding walnuts, nutritional yeast, onion powder, and garlic powder to a food processor and pulsing it until its crumbly. or just use a generous amount of nutritional yeast. i know i'm being that stereotypical vegan by hyping up nooch but it's SO good and life-changing i swear to dog
-tofu stir fry: press extra-firm tofu to get as much moisture out as possible and cut it into cubes. fry in sesame oil with seasonings of choice. (salt and pepper, of course; if you can get or make a Chinese Five-Spice blend that works really well; otherwise i would probably fall back on a blend of cumin, cinnamon, anise, and ground ginger). cook the tofu on high heat for about 3-5 minutes and set aside, then dump a bag of frozen stir-fry vegetables into the same wok or skillet and continue to cook on high heat. add in minced garlic (i keep a jar of pre-minced garlic in my fridge because i'm lazy), ginger paste (again; lazy), some brown sugar (or other sweetener), a hearty splash of soy sauce (or tamari), and some lime juice (or other acid-- i was out of lime juice the other night so i used rice vinegar, and that worked well) ...you can see i don't really "measure" things lol. cooking is an art and baking is a science which is why i don't bake serve cooked vegetables and tofu on top of rice or noodles
-rice bowl: rice and beans!! canned beans because who has time for beans!! very good with roasted broccoli, sweet potatoes, brussels sprouts, or butternut squash(you can roast most vegetables straight from frozen) and topped with a creamy sauce. if you're in the Pacific Northwest of the US and can get your hands on it, i highly recommend Yumm Sauce. i am addicted to this stuff and go through it too much so i've had to start to looking for alternatives because it is admittedly a bit pricey for how quick i can go through a bottle. a lot of vegan creamy sauces will call for soaked cashews, which requires a level of forethought i can't usually commit to, but is worth it when i remember to soak the cashews beforehand. other than that, tahini is my go-to base for a creamy sauce; i just whisk it together with lemon juice, syrup, garlic, some water, salt, and pepper.
creamy root vegetable soup: start by sauteing your aromatics (onion, garlic, leek, shallot etc) in olive oil. add Root Vegetable (carrots, potatoes, parsnips, beets, celery root, whatever you have on hand) and continue to saute for about ten minutes. add vegetable broth and a can of coconut milk. bring to a boil then reduce heat and let it simmer for about 20 minutes. add some acidity at the last minute, with vinegar or citrus juice. you can use an immersion blender to make it extra creamy or just eat it as-is
salad: arugula, spinach, or a spring mix for the greens, plus nuts and dried fruits, and some mock-chicken strips if i'm feeling fancy. make an easy vinaigrette dressing with olive oil and balsamic or red vine vinegar, plus a bit of salt and pepper and maybe some dijon mustard
general vegan tips:
-most tofu recipes are best with extra-firm tofu. just press it first by placing it on a plate, covering it with paper towels or clean kitchen towels, and then put another plate on top and let it sit for a bit. but if you're pressed for time, in my experience usually just firmly and thoroughly patting it as dry as possible before cutting works good enough
-while i love cooking, i'm also aware that i'm liable to run out of spoons at any moment, so i allow myself to take as many shortcuts as i can. pre-minced garlic and ginger paste, pre-made spice blends, even pre-cut and frozen produce, etc
-salad greens can last up to two weeks in the crisper if you put a paper towel in with the bag/box
-mushrooms last a lot longer if you store them in a paper bag
-oat milk is my favorite plant milk because it's very creamy and is much more neutral tasting than soy or coconut. if you're trying to replace milk and fat is one of the main things you're getting from that milk, try not to use almond milk because it's thin and sad and flavorless
-cooking oatmeal with oat milk is existentially weird but overall tasty
-there are a lot of great meat alternatives out there nowadays! Gardein has good frozen meatballs and chicken strips; Beyond Meat makes good burger patties and sausages; Field Roast also makes sausages that i enjoy; and Tofurkey has some good chicken alternatives. if you can find it, young jackfruit makes a really good alternative to pulled pork. i made some tacos with it a while back and it was uncanny how meat-like it was. the only thing with jackfruit is you might want another source of protein with your meal, since the fruit itself doesn't have much i don't think
-any balanced meal imho should have a combo of carbs, protein, and fat. mix-and-match plant-based macronutrients to find what works for you. grains are a good source of carbs: i love white rice (easy to cook), couscous, millet, and even the occasional quinoa; legumes and nuts provide a good amount of protein; nuts and seeds are also great for fat, along with coconut and avocado
-nutritional yeast nutritional yeast nutritional yeast nutritional yeast nutritional ye
-oreos are vegan thank god for oreos
hope this little ramble was helpful! :3

What does being vegan mean to you? You’re valid either way, sometimes vegan discourse can get complicated but curious about your perspective of it.
Thank you for asking!! I admit that I've been expecting nervously for this ask for a long time lol
If you google the definition of vegan you'll find the answers that most vegans are comfortable in using, but I don't really agree to those.
For me (and some other people) veganism isn't a diet, or a philosophy or a lifestyle. It is a political movement which aims to fight animal exploitation in all forms AND this is fight against the oppression of both human and non-human animals.
It doesn't mean transforming the slaughter more "humanitarian". It doesn't mean buying "vegan food" from brands and companies that clearly profit by animal exploitation. It doesn't mean defending dogs, pigs and cows but excusing all the oppression against humans - be it racism, ableism, misoginy, lgbtphobia and even slavery. The amount of vegans that excuse those is disgustingly HUGE!
Besides going against all of the things mentioned above, the vegan movement is also pretty much anti-capitalist. We fight for a world in which non-human animals are free to live their own lives in nature without suffering. We fight for a world in which humans get to live their own lives without suffering too - meaning that everyone gets access to their basic rights as humans. It is a world where everyone has access to nutritive food, education, culture, healthcare; it is a place where we can express ourselves without fearing for our lives. And we can't do any of that without fighting this system that is literally based upon oppression against all forms of life!!
Also, I'm not vegan because I feel pity for cows. Of course I do, but I didn't join the movement just because of an emotion. It's more like a sense of empathy and fairness you know? No one deserves a life like that, specially once we know that this suffering is completely unnecessary.
There's actually a name for this part of the movement, I'm not sure of the translation for English but it would be something like "political/popular veganism" while the one that doesn't see the social aspect as important is called "liberal veganism".
This is too long already I'm so sorry, but if you want to learn more about it, I recommend a lot Carol J. Adams' work and Sabrina Fernandes' channel on youtube, 'Tese Onze'. She has a playlist about this subject, some have subtitles in English, and it is just 🤌✨. She's incredible, pls go watch it!!
This one is my favorites and it sums up what I've just said: https://youtu.be/3sYc358yPas
Ty sm for asking and feel free to ask me anything else! I'm more than happy to help :3

The long Labor Day holiday weekend is widely considered to be the unofficial end of summer by many Americans. By early September there are already subtle seasonal changes afoot – an ochre tinge to the sun’s rays, a shortening of days and lengthening of shadows, and a slight autumnal chill hanging in the morning air. Not to mention that Labor Day weekend signals the start of a new school year for many kids, parents, teachers and staff. So why not usher summer out in style with one last “cookout” hurrah? Here are a few ideas to help you make it a 2022 Labor Day commemoration for the books. Appetizer: Salsa Fresca A big bowl of fresh, homemade salsa makes a great opening act for any gathering or celebration. There is a tomato bounty available at your local farmers market right now, with tomatoes of all kinds remaining at their peak ripeness for the next several weeks – perfect for using in salsa fresca. The consistency of salsa you desire will largely be determined by the type of tomatoes you use in your recipe. For a thicker, less watery salsa, strain any juicy tomatoes before adding them to the mix. Of course, feel free to scale the amount of onion, cilantro and jalapeno you include to curate for different taste preferences. For something a little different, try making a salsa verde using tomatillos -- small, green husk-covered tomatoes that are native to Mexico and easy to find at farmstalls in September. Main Course: Shish Kebabs Instead of flipping the same old burgers and dogs on the grill, elevate your typical Labor Day cookout routine with a shish kebab bonanza! The term shish kebab has an interesting etymological origin as it is an anglicization of the Turkish words ‘şiş’, signifying sword or skewer, and ‘kebap’ meaning ‘roasted meat dish’. A traditional shish kebab is made from skewered and grilled cubes of lamb. However, kebabs offer a wonderful outlet through which to express your creative bbq’ing skills, so there really is no limit to what ingredient combos you can put together. Try alternating cubes of marinated chicken, shrimp, beef or lamb with a variety of summer vegetables including squash, red and yellow bell pepper, tomato, mushroom and onion. Here are a few other pro tips when it comes to skewer grilling:
Use wooden skewers instead of metal to avoid over-cooking the meat.
Soak wooden skewers in water for at least one hour before using them.
Use double skewers to gain better control when turning kebabs over the grill.
Keep some space between the pieces of meat to help them cook more evenly.
Paint the kebabs with the extra marinade as they cook to add more flavor.
Dessert: Grilled Peaches Don’t extinguish those charcoals just yet! Keep the flames a-lickin’, as grilled peaches make for a delicious, healthy and easy-to-prep dessert. Try to select ripe peaches at the market or ripen them on the kitchen counter before grilling. If possible, choose “freestone” peaches whose pits are easier to remove than the “clingstone” variety. If you’re having difficulty removing the pits, cut the peaches across their middle and twist to separate the two halves. Liberally brush the inside of the peaches with a mix of melted butter, brown sugar or honey, and cinnamon (or any other warm spices such as ginger, nutmeg and cardamom), and grill until tender. You can opt to top the finished product with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or dollop of whipped cream before serving! Nectarines, plums and apricots can also be prepared in the same way. Beverage: Inventive Cocktails Move beyond beer and pick up a few bottles of locally produced spirits, fresh produce, condiments and herbs at the farmers market to let your inner mixologist burst forth this Labor Day weekend. Adding attractive garnish to any mixed drink, whether it be alcoholic or not, will always make it taste better simply because it looks more inviting, while adding a soupçon of nutritional value to your beverage of choice. Muddle a handful of fresh mint into your mojito, plop a skewer of stuffed olives, dill pickle spear and crunchy stick of celery into your Bloody Mary, add a sprig of thyme to your whisky sour, or peel some slices of cool cucumber into your gin & tonic. Have fun with it and don’t forget to take pics of your cocktail creations to share. Cheers to you all while wishing you a delicious, relaxing and safe Labor Day weekend!

Finding my MoJo with some mystic help
I'm going to put this out there...I'm an intuitive empath that loves her crystals and tarot cards. Pendant's, and rune stones.
So after my rows with nature, stress, family, Dr's, and all around ill health (I don't have many Immunoglobulin G's which I call goblin G troup). Thanks to Goblin Gs going AWOL I have been on antibiotics since July of 2023. 2 weeks on these massive combo pills and a week or two off, repeat either till I am antibiotic resistant or I can get the shots to force goblin G troups to join me and fight. Lets not forget inhalers, nasal sprays, pills both herbal and pharma. medications.
I am going to fight with everything I have through 2024 and if there isn't a significant improvement in at least one area I will stop any traditional medical practices I can and try for a more holistic approach.
Especially, after a bout with COVID-19 that took over 6mo to recover from I have learned to deal with energy syphons. You know, the people who make interaction challenging and tedious. I've always been able to gage a room and the people in it but never trusted my instincts. That has changed, I know am trying to trust my first impressions and inner voice now.
I said I'd mention Johhny Depp in this post so here it goes. It's nothing exciting but more annoying from my point of view.
During my "I quit and will just wait to die" moments during the end of 2023 I saw what my giving up was doing to my mother and daughter. That's when I decided to get through the holidays and then make some changes. So my fingers started typing in preparation things like... nutrition, keto, raw diet, balanced, yoga, brain eating itself, replacing white matter, and so on. Each time I searched a topic Johnny Depp showed up in a clip. There'd be a dog, guitar, baby, rants on his divorce, with his son, etc. His clips had nothing to do with what I was researching.
Let me refresh you...I DON'T CARE ABOUT FAMOUS PEOPLE SO i DON'T RESEARCH THEM. Though stuff does pop up occasionally it's not about one celeb over and over. During this time I had looked up why people couldn't leave Keanu Reeves and his girlfriend alone. My daughter brought it to my attention so I searched.
According to computer science if you search a topic either via typing it on a keyboard or verbally asking an AI like Alexa about it. Once you've selected the topic: famous name, raised garden beds, new roofs, dog characteristics, etc. the search engine (bing, google, etc) will flood you with ads regarding these specific topics.
Mr. Reeves plays bass in a band so why was Depp the one showing up?
After a few weeks of Johnny Depp ads annoying the crap out of me I went to bed irritated and with a killer migraine. That is until I remembered...things usually happen for a reason. What is the reason? So I asked Alexa...what instrument he plays, his band name, other members, play some of their songs.
I'll be honest and say the first song didn't resonate with me. I continued for a few more songs and one was an Alice Cooper remix. This brought nostalgia and emotion that I've missed since I stopped listening to music regularly. Migraines and music or any noise don't get along so I opted for quiet.
I asked for Alexa to switch to 80s rock and something clicked.
I've started this blog and not sure how often I'll post since I quit Social medias for the most part...esp FB, to limit screen times. I'm looking into a free course on coding through Stratford U. I have a BA in computers but it's been ages since I've written code or done anything with computers themselves due to illness.
Remember I am writing most things, except this blog, long hand.
Oh I want to say in case one of Johnny's people see this post that I wrote to him to thank him for reminding me about my love of music. I stopped listening again during a rough patch and he started popping up again! I grabbed my headphones and started listening to some Mozart. A day later the pop ups were back to normal.
I received a mass produced photo of him, I don't think he signed it and it was simply printed with photo but the gesture is nice. If one of his people read this tell him that even though we've never met I thank him for helping me out of a dark time via reminding me of my love of music and to keep spreading his energy.
When I wrote Johnny I didn't ask for anything but I just wanted him to know he'd made a difference in some ordinary persons life without even realizing it.
The writing of letters long hand, in cursive, has helped and if anyone wants to pen pal please let me know and I'll set up a PO Box. Assholes need not apply!
Time for a reading and meditation.
May you be grounded and good energy surround you

Transitioning Your Dog to a Dehydrated Diet: A Step-by-Step Guide
In recent years, the pet food industry has seen a surge in popularity for dehydrated dog food. With health-conscious pet owners increasingly seeking out natural, minimally processed options for their furry friends, dehydrated dog food has emerged as a convenient and nutritious choice. As a result, the dehydrated dog food market has experienced significant growth, offering a wide range of options to cater to different canine needs. In this blog post, we'll explore the benefits of transitioning your dog to a dehydrated diet and provide a step-by-step guide to ensure a smooth transition process.
Understanding the Dehydrated Dog Food Market
Before delving into the transition process, it's essential to understand what sets dehydrated dog food apart in the pet food market. Dehydrated dog food is made by gently removing moisture from fresh ingredients, preserving the nutritional integrity of the ingredients while creating a lightweight and shelf-stable product. Unlike traditional kibble or canned food, dehydrated dog food typically contains a higher concentration of nutrients and is free from artificial preservatives, colors, and flavors.
The growing popularity of dehydrated dog food can be attributed to several factors, including:
Nutritional Benefits: Dehydrated dog food often retains more nutrients compared to heavily processed alternatives, providing dogs with a diet closer to what they would eat in the wild.
Convenience: Dehydrated dog food is easy to store, transport, and prepare, making it an ideal choice for pet owners with busy lifestyles.
Digestibility: The gentle dehydration process helps to preserve the natural enzymes and nutrients in the ingredients, promoting better digestion and absorption for dogs with sensitive stomachs.
Transitioning Your Dog to a Dehydrated Diet
While transitioning your dog to a new diet can seem daunting, especially if they are accustomed to a different type of food, following a gradual transition plan can help minimize digestive upset and ensure a smooth adjustment period. Here's a step-by-step guide to transitioning your dog to a dehydrated diet:
Step 1: Consult with Your Veterinarian
Before making any significant changes to your dog's diet, it's essential to consult with your veterinarian. They can provide personalized recommendations based on your dog's age, breed, weight, and any specific dietary requirements or health concerns.
Step 2: Choose the Right Dehydrated Dog Food
With a plethora of options available in the dehydrated dog food market, take the time to research and choose a high-quality product that meets your dog's nutritional needs. Look for brands that use premium ingredients, have a transparent manufacturing process, and offer formulations tailored to your dog's age, size, and activity level.
Step 3: Gradually Introduce the New Food
Start by mixing a small amount of the dehydrated dog food with your dog's current food. Begin with a ratio of 25% dehydrated food to 75% old food and gradually increase the proportion of dehydrated food over the course of 7-10 days.
Step 4: Monitor Your Dog's Response
Pay close attention to your dog's behavior, appetite, and stool during the transition period. Some dogs may experience mild digestive upset, such as loose stools or gas, as their bodies adjust to the new diet. If you notice any concerning symptoms, slow down the transition process or consult with your veterinarian for guidance.
Step 5: Maintain Hydration
Since dehydrated dog food requires rehydration before feeding, ensure that your dog has access to fresh water at all times. Follow the manufacturer's instructions for rehydrating the food properly to maintain its nutritional integrity.
Step 6: Complete the Transition
Once your dog has successfully transitioned to the new diet and is eating the dehydrated food exclusively without any issues, you can consider the transition complete. Continue to monitor your dog's health and make adjustments to their diet as needed based on their individual needs.
Conclusion
Transitioning your dog to a dehydrated diet can offer numerous benefits, from improved nutrition to better digestibility and convenience. By following a gradual transition plan and monitoring your dog's response, you can help ensure a smooth and successful transition to a diet that promotes their overall health and well-being. As the demand for dehydrated dog food continues to grow, the market offers a diverse array of options to cater to every dog's unique needs and preferences. So why not give it a try and see the difference it can make for your furry companion?
In the ever-expanding Dehydrated Dog Food Market, making the switch may just be the best decision you make for your beloved pet's diet.

30 days of tumblr (day nine)
Tumblr media
tw: some family issues (not really t.xic though, h.mophobia at school)
well, i woke up at 6:30 instead of 5:00 because my alarm didn’t go off, so that was fun. that meant i didn’t have enough time to take a shower so i rushed into the bathroom, sprayed some dry shampoo, and freshened up with a washcloth.
i went back to my room, got dressed, and did my makeup. i went back to the bathroom and brushed my teeth and did my hair.
i gathered my stuff and left the house at 7:00 ish, but my mom was driving instead of my stepdad so that was weird. so then i got to school and scrolled through my phone in the bandhall before first period, which for me, is geometry.
geometry is pretty easy, and our teacher is senile, so it’s kinda a free period. my math crush and i were talking, and he asked if i was gay (he’s h.mophobic). i refused to lie about my sexuality, so i told him that i’m unlabeled with a heavy preference for men. the conversation got awkward and he seemed less interested in me.
then we had band class, which went smoothly, and my main crush spoke to me briefly.
then in spanish class, we had a lockdown because someone in another class greened out and hurt themselves in the ag class, so now three sophomores are getting expelled, and one of them will probably get jail time.
then it was honors english, which was uneventful, same with honors biology, which is right after english.
then i had lunch, and i finally got to sit with my friends again, because my mom doesn’t let me sit with this one specific friend, but he was in detention for lunch, so we all sat outside and they wanted to hear tea about my main crush, the one from band class.
then i had honors world geography, which again, was uneventful.
then we had theatre production, which was really fun, because we’re preparing for a competition tomorrow and we were working on putting up the set quickly, and then striking it quickly.
then my lifetime nutrition and wellness class was also uneventful.
i walked home while listening to my playlist, and read for the entire afternoon, except of course, for when i had to leave my room. we had bratwurst for dinner, and while i was doing the dishes afterwards, i told the dogs to stop messing with the dishwasher, and my mom came in and asked “why don’t you love the dogs? what’s wrong with you?” and i replied “nothing, i do love them, i just don’t want them to mess up the dishes”. then my sister asked why i didn’t love her, and i ignored her, but she kept asking. so i just said “do you want the full list, or just the main points?” and my mom yelled at me (btw my sister knows i love her, and obv i didn’t really mean anything out of it. she wanted a reaction, she got one). so on the way to my room, my other little sister slapped my ass, and i sternly told her not to, which made her cry hysterically, and made my mom even more mad at me.
then i just read more shit on my phone and scrolled through pinterest. and now i’m here, about to go to bed.

Understanding Dog Vitamins: Essential Nutrients and Safe Supplementing
Tumblr media
Introduction: As pet owners, we always strive to provide the best care and nutrition for our furry friends. Just like humans, dogs require a balanced diet to meet their nutritional needs. While a well-rounded diet is typically sufficient, there are instances where vitamin supplementation may be necessary. In this article, we will discuss the importance of vitamins for dogs, specifically examining the benefits and safety considerations of Vitamin C intake, the use of non-staining supplements, and the appropriate amount of salmon to supplement a 100lbs dog diet. I. What Vitamins Do Dogs Need? When it comes to maintaining good health in dogs, a well-balanced diet is paramount. While dogs receive most of their essential vitamins and minerals from their regular food, there are some key vitamins that might require additional attention. These include: 1. Vitamin A: Essential for vision, skin health, immune function, and cell growth. 2. Vitamin B complex: Important for energy production, digestion, and overall well-being. 3. Vitamin D: Crucial for calcium absorption, bone health, and strong teeth. 4. Vitamin E: A powerful antioxidant that promotes healthy skin, coat, and immune system. 5. Vitamin K: Essential for proper blood clotting and bone health regulation. While these vitamins can usually be obtained through a balanced diet, there are circumstances where supplementation may be necessary. It is important to consult with a veterinarian before making any changes to your dog's diet or introducing supplements. II. Can Dogs Take Vitamin C? Vitamin C, also known as ascorbic acid, is an important nutrient for humans, but what about dogs? While dogs have the ability to produce their own Vitamin C, they might benefit from additional supplementation in certain situations. 1. Boosting immune function: Vitamin C is known to strengthen the immune system, making it useful when dogs are under stress or recovering from an illness. 2. Joint health: Vitamin C plays a role in collagen production, which supports healthy joints and connective tissues. 3. Antioxidant properties: As an antioxidant, Vitamin C helps combat harmful free radicals, aiding in the prevention of chronic diseases. However, it is crucial to consult with a veterinarian before introducing Vitamin C supplements to your dog's diet. Excessive intake may lead to diarrhea or gastrointestinal upset. III. Are Dog Non-Staining Supplements Safe? Supplements come in various forms, including powders, tablets, and liquids. Many dog owners wonder if these supplements may cause staining on their pet's fur. The good news is that most high-quality dog supplements are formulated to be non-staining. When choosing supplements for your dog, keep the following tips in mind: 1. Quality matters: Opt for reputable brands known for their quality products. 2. Natural ingredients: Look for supplements made from natural ingredients, as they are less likely to cause staining. 3. Proper dosage: Follow the recommended dosage instructions provided by the manufacturer or, preferably, consult your veterinarian. While non-staining supplements are generally safe, it is important to remember that each dog is unique, and reactions to specific supplements may vary. If you notice any adverse effects after introducing a new supplement, discontinue its use and consult your veterinarian. IV. How Much Salmon to Supplement a 100lbs Dog Diet? Salmon is packed with essential nutrients, including omega-3 fatty acids, which promote a healthy coat, skin, and heart. Adding salmon to your dog's diet can provide numerous benefits. However, it is important to ensure the right amount is given, especially for larger dogs. For a 100lbs dog, it is generally recommended to supplement their diet with 3-4 ounces of salmon per week. This amount can be divided into smaller portions and served over the course of the week. Remember to remove any bones and cook the salmon thoroughly to eliminate the risk of parasites. Conclusion: Understanding the importance of vitamins for our canine companions is essential for their overall well-being. While most dogs can obtain the necessary vitamins through a balanced diet, some may require additional supplementation. When considering giving your dog vitamins, always consult with a veterinarian to ensure their safety and effectiveness. Hypoallergenic Dog Food: A Guide to Choosing the Best for Your Canine Companion
Introduction:
For many dog owners, their furry friends are not just pets; they are beloved members of the family. As such, ensuring their health and well-being is of utmost importance. One common concern that pet owners face is allergies, and just like humans, dogs can suffer from allergies too. Hypoallergenic dog food has emerged as a solution to address these concerns and provide a tailored diet for dogs with sensitivities. In this guide, we will delve into the world of hypoallergenic dog food, exploring its benefits, considerations, and how to choose the best option for your canine companion.
Understanding Canine Allergies:
Allergies in dogs can manifest in various ways, including skin irritations, digestive issues, and respiratory problems. Common allergens for dogs include certain proteins, grains, and artificial additives found in regular dog food. Hypoallergenic dog food is specifically formulated to eliminate or minimize these potential triggers, making it a suitable choice for dogs with allergies or sensitivities.
Benefits of Hypoallergenic Dog Food:
Reduced Allergic Reactions:
Hypoallergenic dog food is designed to minimize the presence of common allergens, which can significantly reduce allergic reactions in sensitive dogs. This is particularly beneficial for dogs with skin conditions, ear infections, or gastrointestinal problems caused by allergies.
Improved Digestive Health:
Many hypoallergenic dog foods are crafted with easily digestible ingredients, making them gentle on a dog's digestive system. This is especially advantageous for dogs with food sensitivities or gastrointestinal issues, promoting better nutrient absorption and overall digestive health.
Enhanced Skin and Coat Health:
Allergies can often manifest in skin issues for dogs, such as itching, redness, and hot spots. Hypoallergenic dog food, with its focus on high-quality, non-allergenic ingredients, can contribute to healthier skin and a shinier coat, addressing these common concerns.
Choosing the Right Hypoallergenic Dog Food:
Identify Allergens:
Before selecting hypoallergenic dog food, it's crucial to identify the specific allergens affecting your dog. Common allergens include beef, chicken, dairy, wheat, and soy. Consulting with a veterinarian and conducting allergy tests can help pinpoint these triggers and guide you in choosing an appropriate hypoallergenic formula.
Check Ingredients:
When evaluating hypoallergenic dog food options, carefully examine the ingredient list. Look for high-quality, easily digestible proteins such as lamb, fish, or venison, and consider grain-free or limited-ingredient formulas to minimize potential allergens.
Avoid Artificial Additives:
Artificial preservatives, colors, and flavors can exacerbate allergic reactions in dogs. Opt for hypoallergenic dog food that avoids or minimizes the use of artificial additives, focusing instead on natural and wholesome ingredients.
Consider Prescription Diets:
In severe cases of allergies, veterinarians may recommend prescription hypoallergenic diets. These formulas are formulated with hydrolyzed proteins, which are broken down into smaller, less allergenic components, reducing the likelihood of triggering an immune response.
Conclusion:
Hypoallergenic dog food serves as a valuable option for pet owners navigating the challenges of canine allergies. By understanding the specific needs of your dog and choosing a high-quality, hypoallergenic formula, you can contribute to their overall health and well-being. Always consult with a veterinarian to determine the best course of action for your furry friend, ensuring that their diet aligns with their individual sensitivities and dietary requirements. With the right approach to nutrition, you can provide your dog with a tasty and nourishing diet that supports their health and happiness for years to come.

A dog's stomach is far more forgiving to fish and poultry than beef or any other red meat. Salmon is a good choice if you believe your dog can manage fish. Besides being easy to digest, salmon is also a good source of healthy fats, which can benefit the appearance and health of your hair and skin. 2- Carbohydrate Carbohydrates have a significant impact on the digestive health of your dog. Wheat and maize are common ingredients in many commercial dog meals, which can be difficult for certain dogs to digest. Choosing grain-free dog food or food that includes oats, rice, or potatoes is a better alternative. Your dog's general well-being will benefit from these carbohydrate sources, which are simpler to digest and include more fibre and minerals. Also Read : Best Bed for French Bulldog 3- Fat Low-fat dog food will help your dog if it has difficulty digesting fat. Fat absorption can be detected by the presence of light-coloured, foul-smelling faeces that is overflowing with undigested fat. Conclusion If you have a French bulldog with a delicate stomach, these above mentioned meal options are perfect for you. They all have elements that provide the necessary nutrition for your dogs continued good health, happiness, and strength. Even if your French bulldog is an adult, most of these dog meals will help him keep his weight in check. For example, some of the above foods are meat-based, and some are grain-based, so you'll need to know your dog's dietary requirements before deciding on food from this list.
