Is there drenchgrot week this year?

Whoops!! I completely forgot about drenchgrot week!!

To be honest, I'm not sure if I will run one this year. I'm just one person running this ship event, and being in my second year of university, it's pretty difficult to organise these events when I should focus on my studies.

If were to set one up this year, it would most likely be in the next couple of months, so I'm free from my university work for the year. If you have some day ideas, please feel free to dm them to me because ya girly is struggling with ideas in the first place.

New Story

New story for @drenchgrotweek! This is set in the same timeline as Live Unbruised and Maudra, but is set during the earlier days of Naia and Amri’s relationship. Basically, it’s the first time these two spend the night together - not NSFW, though there’s some hints of desire. Mostly it’s fluff. Drenchgrot Week 2021!!

Alrighty, round 2!!! I’m so pleased with how many people enjoyed this last year, there was so many crazy talented artists and writers who participated and I couldn’t be more grateful for such an amazing group of people❤️

So, like last year, this event is going to run from October 1st to October 7th, and like most ship weeks you can submit anything from fanfiction, art, headcanons, animation, or even cosplay etc that relates to the seven prompts for this year's event. Like last year, we are going off the same rules so…

- NSFW!!

you can create nsfw content of them in your free time, but just not for this event thank you :)

- Gore

well this is kind of a grey area as it’s somewhat okay to an extent, but just make sure that it’s not super triggering and please put a content warning if you are going to be posting any gore whatsoever

- Pedophilia

no nonces, please

- Nonconsensual content, etc…

Also, due to recent events, bullying and/or racism will not be tolerated at all during this event!!

Anyways, everyone’s welcome to participate!! even if it’s from one day to the whole week!! Just like last year, make sure that the content that you’re submitting is new content, and also, when you’re posting make sure to use the hashtag #drenchgrotweek (especially if you're posting outside of tumblr) and tag this blog too. Make sure that your work is related to the themes and if you miss a day; no worries, you guys can totally post it a day or two after the initial theme day or within the catchup weeks.

Once this post goes live, you guys are more than welcome to start preparing stuff for the upcoming days, just don't post them until the week has started:))

I absolutely love this quote from both Naia and Amri in Flames

Day 3 (27/9) ~ Baby Gelfs!! (family part 2 electric boogaloo)

Who doesn't love baby gelfs!! This is similar to last year's prompt, however, it's more centred around baby gelfs. This can either be their kids or even Naia and/or Amri's childhood

This is a special request from fade <3

Day 4 (28/9) ~ Submerged

They do spend an awful lot of time underwater together surprisingly

Day 5 (29/9) ~ Soft Talk round two

This is another special request from fade to repeat this prompt from last year

Day 6 (30/9) ~ Nicknames

Throughout the books, these two idiots (mostly Naia) have given each other many different nicknames, from daylighter, sliverling, and my personal favourite crawly foot

Day 7 (1/10) ~ AU TIME!!!

I'm going to give you the same advice as last year, go crazy, go bonkers, go stupid:))

Lying in a coughing puddle nearby was Amri, thumping his own chest in an attempt to get the last drops of water out.

“I think I’m gonna throw up,” he wheezed between coughs.

“Really? No smooth lines like ‘I’m better now that you’re here’?” Naia asked, helping him to his feet.
