Please people, stop spreading that. It isn't true. He's not going to do something that could literally put his freedom at risk. The California authorities would not think twice about making an example out of Jeon Jungkook.

Why can't people take a minute and simply look further, for factual information?

Chill out and get the information right, before spreading rumors like a wildfire.

I’m thinking about mechpreg again!

That one episode of tfp where Ratchet makes his little drug and he feels young and full of energy again.

Well now with that in mind, IDW Ratchet does something similar and this is also during the war, but there was like a massive draw back, he keeps going into heat, wanting to be bred full of little bitlets. (Pussy pulsing for real)

So instead of doing the smart thing and getting rid of the drugs….he takes the extra amount.

He’s fighting off some Decepticon ass until he feels the heat creep into him. He stumbles a little and his legs are all of the sudden too weak to hold him. The Decepticons can practically smell the heat of him and it’s not looking all to good for poor Ratchet.

Deadlock the mech himself sees a group of Decepticons fighting over something so he goes and when he sees Ratchet a lonely Autobot, laying there on the ground, valve in the air, begging for someone to take care of him, who was Deadlock to deny himself such a treat.

Deadlock who was now ramming Ratchets valve over and over again as he begs for little deadlocks inside of him, was making Deadlock snap his hips even harder, showing everyone that this Autobot was his now.

After a couple of months Ratchet gets fat, like sexy pregnant fat. He’s moody, horny…moody. Deadlock bounces Ratchet on his spike until he’s filled up and happy, but Ratchet’s puffy valve is making Deadlock crazy with baby fever. His hips snapping up into Ratchet’s puffy valve, holding his pregnant belly, his knot pulsing as he tries to push it in.

Of course some how the Autobots rescue Ratchet, probably when Deadlock was taking him for a walk outside because Ratchet wanted to go out.

Ratchet gives birth to little bitlets with red eyes, I can just imagine how the Autobots would react to this.

But I know damn well Deadlock is gonna want to see his kids, since he is the father. (And then probably kidnap Ratchet and the bitlets and raise his little family.

interesting. Ratchet taking a harmless supplement that’s supposed to help him out on the battlefield, but it's meddling with his systems and he begins to enter his heat cycle more often, finding himself waking up in the middle of the night just mere weeks after the last cycle had died out, leaking lubricants again, forge begging for a bitlet…

Ratchet trying to bypass the effects by simply taking a little bit more and for a while it works, his efficiency increases, and he has no heat cycles for the foreseeable future, so it seems like his frame has fully stabilized… Then his heat slams into him with enough force to make him gasp right there in the field, just as he’s trying to fight off some decepticons. He can’t even get up because his legs immediately tremble and give out when he tries. His panels are drenched, already leaking a puddle under him and he’s starting to get dizzy from the throbbing in his valve. He doesn’t care if he’s surrounded by decepticons, someone needs to fuck him right now. 

And they try, the ’Cons go crazy, one of them gets a hold of his leg and tries to pull him closer but another knocks him down to the ground and punches him for a while before noticing that the third one is getting closer to Ratchet, who’s panels have popped open because his spike pressurized so quickly, and his valve got too swollen to fit. 

Deadlock finding the commotion is like a sign from heaven, he completely bypasses the fighting and takes advantage of the cycling little autobot offering himself so willingly. How could he have refused? Deadlock must have him, knot him, fill his forge with so much transfluid that Ratchet can feel it weighing him down as he’s dragged into Deadlock’s capture.

mhmmmm Ratchet having the time of his life in capture, lovingly supplied with transfluid multiple times a day, sleeping with a fat knot stuck in his fat valve, claws holding onto his growing belly... And when he gives birth back in an autobot hospital, and the little one took after Deadlock… people probably pity him a lot, worrying about how much anguish he must have gone through, trapped with a decepticon and getting bred over and over, obviously against his will… 

Maybe Ratchet goes into heat again, shortly after the sparkling is born, and oh, how convenient that Deadlock had managed to sneak in and is right there and so willing to take him.

all these dumbass women who say they just wanna be taken care of and frolic in a field while their husbands make the money and provide the “masculine” energy etc unironically need to watch friends. it’s really weird but one thing i’ve learned is that a lot of gen z and younger have never seen it which is wild to me lmao

and i’m not saying it’s the perfect representation of feminism, not at all, but it’s got great merits. it showed positive, strong relationships between young women well into their thirties, despite dating and multiple relationships. there was pretty minimal shaming of women’s sex lives. there was very little drinking/drug abuse. there was a healthy lesbian relationship introduced at the beginning.

AND THE VERY FIRST EPISODE introduced rachel by having her turn up in her wedding dress, after having run away from her wedding, and making a decision to abandon the financial safety her father and fiance would have promised for something of her own. she started at the bottom at 26 as a waitress and had to learn how to be independent. obv her arc was unrealistic, but it’s tv, and the message is simple: do what’s best for you, the happiness and opportunities will follow. conquer your fear of failure and work through the hard times and it will be worth it, hard times will come, good times will too.

a lot of people really think rachel was shallow and vain but i honestly see her as one of the strongest characters in the show and an excellent example to women. monica and phoebe were good in their own right, but rachel just really inspires me lol. like i said she did a really hard thing; walked away from financial security in order to stand on her own feet, not knowing what she was doing, how it turned out. she used her former mean-girl ways to be fiercely confident and loyal to her friends. she wouldn’t take ross’s shit when he slept with someone else, and she ate when she wrote him that 18 pager (& still refused to take him back). i think she was just the easy one to hate because she was hot and popular and broke ross’s bitch baby heart in high school wah wah. i honestly love rachel lol. and the writers maybe didn’t realize it but they showed how a woman can really do the hard things, get heartbroken by people who are supposed to love them, are always judged and type-casted, yet can thrive and succeed and be amazing people when given the freedom to do so. her confidence is something that grew over the course of the show and i think a lot of young girls and women would benefit from watching her growth, i really mean that. that’s why it was such a groundbreaking show in the 90s, because it was as kind to its female characters as it was to its males; it gave them moments of weakness and all, but it also developed richly textured female characters whose arcs were as complex (or more) than their male counterparts. idk…getting emotional over this tv show…i get that it’s widely beloved but just. not for the right reasons LOL

Screw it, I know I'm never gonna actually have time to make this into an animatic, so let me brain dump for a minute about an animatic I would make about f!Pac and f!Cell if I had the time and energy.

Alright. So let's preface this with a little meta, and a very brief discussion about Fuga Impossível and QSMP.

For starters, we know that the lore of Fuga Impossível is (more or less) a canon backstory for Tazercraft and Cellbit (and, to a certain extent, Felps). We also know from multiple instances of him talking about it that q!Pac is still very afraid of Cell.

Cell. Not Cellbit. This is an important distinction.

Cellbit is no longer Cell— he's one of Richarlyson's other parents, he's one of the Favela Five, and despite the lingering fear Pac has, he still trusts Cellbit and has repeatedly shown it throughout the series. Very recently, we've also seen their relationship heal a little bit in the aftermath of the Federation drug arc.

(I don't have the clips on hand, but there's a moment before Pac gets drugged where he's talking with Cellbit about the plan, and Cellbit offers him a handshake and Pac gives him a hug instead. After the arc and after Pac is cured, Cellbit initiates a hug and hugs him. This, however, is a topic that I want to expand on another day, but TLDR they both got some hangups they're working on.)

Anyways, about the animatic.

I Know I'm A Wolf by Young Heretics is a pretty old song, and I've seen it get misinterpreted so many times that it left a bitter taste in my mouth and a negative association with the song for a long while. That being said, I remembered it out of the blue a few minutes ago and had a "Wait, actually—" moment about it. Like I said before, I don't think I'll ever get around to making this animatic (especially since I'm still hopelessly chipping away at that Bobby Jaiden and Roier animatic with a broken tablet pen and a dream), so despite my usual reluctance to share this stuff, I want to walk folks through my thought process and why I think this song is a fitting choice for Tazercraft (but mostly Pac) and Cell / Cellbit's past and present relationship.

I'd recommend listening to the song since just reading the lyrics doesn't capture the tone of the song as well.

The lyrics for the first part go:

Dear rabbit, my legs are getting weak chasing you The snow fields wouldn't seem so big if you knew That this blood on my teeth it is far beyond dry And I've captured you once but I wasn't quite right So I'm telling you that you'll be safe with me.

In my mind, I'm imagining this part exhibiting the tension between Tazercraft and Cell in the prison. Tazercraft know Cell is dangerous, but they ultimately make an alliance with him.

Can they trust Cell?

Hell no.

"So I'm telling you, that you'll be safe with me" is the moment they strike the deal (ominous piano music and all). Yes, the blood on his teeth may be dry (for the moment) but the blood is still there. Pac and Mike know better to trust Cell, no matter how charismatic he may try to be, but the situation they're in in Alcatraz leaves them with few options.

The line "I've captured you once, but I wasn't quite right" could refer to Cell taking Pac's leg (though I'm still iffy on where I personally would fit that into the Fuga Impossível timeline, but regardless, it's a fitting line for that part of their history).

The next lines are:

Oh rabbit, my claws are dull now so don't be afraid I could keep you warm as long as you can just try to be brave

In this section, I imagine Tazercraft witnessing all the terrible things Cell does in Alcatraz, and their reluctance to maintain the deal (though there's nothing they can do to get out of it now) so they just try and watch out for each other. The "don't be afraid" and "just try to be brave" lines I see being directed to Pac, who's already been hurt by the "wolf" that continues to offer them reassurances with blood still dripping down his chin.

The next section is a doozy:

Yes I know I'm a wolf and I've been known to bite But the rest of my pack, I have left them behind And my teeth may be sharp and I've been raised to kill But the thought of fresh meat, it is making me ill So I'm telling you that you'll be safe with me.

With this section, we move to Cell's perspective, and here's where we tweak the story a little. We know the ending of Fuga Impossível isn't 100% canon to the QSMP timeline, and we also know that Cell eventually was able to make the (frankly miraculous) transition from Cell -> Cellbit. But what was the catalyst?

Well, why not the Island, and the isolation he had to deal with after getting stranded there? Being alone with your own thoughts can really change a person... and sometimes drive them to the brink of insanity, but Cell was already well along his way to that.

Cell has done horrible, horrible things, and based on what CC Cellbit has said about his character and the things he's made canon, his crimes started long before he ever got to Alcatraz. According to Cellbit, his character fought in a war alongside Bad in his youth, and that was where he first began indulging in his fun new hobby: cannibalism. (Hence the line: And my teeth may be sharp and I've been raised to kill). We could argue that this originated as a survival response (hell, who knows what kind of conditions he lived in during that war, and q!Bad himself said he's eaten people, so Cell might've picked that up from him), but regardless of it's origin, it still happened.

I want to emphasize that I'm not bringing this up so we can say "Oh poor baby!" and excuse Cell's actions; I just think it’s interesting to think about his past and his perspective on this whole situation. But regardless of the circumstances that set him on the path he was on, he did some wildly messed up stuff, and if I were to actually do this darn animatic, I wouldn't want to sugarcoat anything.

Now let's contrast all of that with these lines:

"Yes I know I'm a wolf and I've been known to bite / But the rest of my pack, I have left them behind"

It's human nature to crave companionship, and no matter how many people Cell's killed or how many atrocities he's committed, it's hard to unlearn that instinct. At the line "But the thought of fresh meat, it is making me ill" I think of that moment on the Island where Cell offers Pac an apple. Regardless of how you read that moment, it's an interaction that really stands out to me. Is it a power-play? An olive branch? An offer of friendship? (COPIUM, it's not). The contrast between “fresh meat” and the apple is very appealing to me though, both in the literal and metaphorical sense. I've got a lot of thoughts about that moment, but I'll save that analysis for another day when I'm not so tired, and when I have more reliable translations to base my analysis on. For now, let's leave that open-ended.

And then there's the line "So I'm telling you that you'll be safe with me."

Here, the perspective is split between Cell and Pac & Mike, who are safe now. Not because of Cell — but because of each other. They leave Cell stranded on the Island, and survive the narrative of Fuga Impossível as well as the narrative of the song (where the "predator" is implied to eventually catch its prey). At the extended "me" part of the song, I imagine Cell sitting there in shock, alone on the island, realizing that even with all his threats and all his (imagined) authority, he still couldn't get what he wanted. (And what did he want? Well, he's certainly got a lot of time to think about that!)

Now, we have the final stanza: So rabbit please stop looking the other way It's cold out there so why not stay here Under my tail.

We're back to the present. No more Cell, no more Alcatraz, just Pac and Cellbit dealing with the aftermath of Richarlyson and Mike vanishing and Forever being drugged.

Because I'm changing the narrative of the song, I'm also changing the tone. This time, the offer of safety in the presence of an old enemy isn't an empty promise. Time has changed both of them, and now Cellbit and Pac are both prey and predators (if we continue the analogy of the song). They're at the mercy of the Federation, but they know they can rely on one another in a way they weren't able to before, and together they can somehow find a way to overcome this latest hardship. I like the idea of leaving things on a hopeful / positive note, especially since we know these characters eventually become good friends and even family in the QSMP universe.

ANYWAYS! Those are my thoughts. There's a lot more I could say about this (and a lot lot more I could say about Pac and Cell / Cellbit) but I'm very tired and I think this covers the jist of things (though I may go back and edit things tomorrow). Obligatory disclaimer that I'm trying my best out here vis-a-vis the Fuga Impossível lore, but if I missed the mark on any of that, please know it is solely because I can't speak a lick of Portuguese lmao. I'm always reevaluating and updating my interpretation of characters and stories based on every new bit of information I get, so I might revisit this thought again some time in the future. Cheers.

It’s been a month.

A whole month since you, Nebula, and Tony were stuck on the Milano spaceship.

Tony was getting frustrated and worried about you because you refused to eat. You had told them ever since day one that you were a super soldier and that you had withstood long periods of starvation without a problem. But Tony was still doubtful and he felt that you were lying only so he and Nebula could get some food. He worried too much which would turn into anger and frustration because he was helpless. He couldn’t do anything to save you all. He couldn’t repair the damage inflicted on the ship and you were stuck, unable to fly anymore.

It was eating him from the inside out that he couldn’t help his own daughter who was growing weaker and weaker by the day.

Your wounds from Thanos were so grave and you were just so exhausted and drained that even your enhanced healing abilities couldn’t properly heal you which allowed an infection to settle in. And not eating was making you even weaker. You were nothing more than a normal human now – a normal human who was slowly dying in his arms.

“Hey, you,” whispered Tony as he entered your room. The room used to belong to a woman called Gamora but you had crashed into it after taking the ship.

You were currently lying on a bed, something you had been doing for a long time now, covered by blankets in a futile attempt at warming you. The raging fever was making you so cold. Colder than the Siberian fields you had crossed.

“Hey,” you whispered, sending him a smile, your eyes staying closed. They were too heavy. You felt a sudden prickling sensation on your arm and you guessed it was time for your medication. Tony and Nebula had been surprised to find out that Quill had an impressive stock of medical supplies on the ship and they had tried their best to keep your state stable. Recovery was agonizingly slow, though.

“How are you feeling today?” asked the man and you hummed.

“A bit better.”

He smiled. You didn’t need to look at him to know that he did. You two had gotten very good at such types of communication. You could just feel him, his energy, and he could just feel you. Just like how you were exceedingly good at communicating through your eyes only. You could hold a whole detailed conversation just by looking at one another and moving your eyebrows.

“I, uh, bear good news! You’ll be… out of your misery soon,” he sniffed. “We all will.”

“Charming,” you let out a weak chuckle. “Let me guess. Oxygen is ending soon,” you struggled to do so, but you finally cracked your eyes open and looked at him.

He had gotten thinner and weaker, you noticed. You felt concern but at the same time relief. Because death would soon embrace you all and you would finally rest in peace. The only thing that was bugging you was that you would die with many regrets and unfinished business.

And with unredeemed sins.

Suddenly, hot waves crashed on your skin and you gasped, body convulsing. Tony flinched as he quickly took another needle and filled it with a light purple liquid. Finding the needed vessel, he didn’t hesitate to pierce it and pump the drug inside. A few seconds later, you calmed down.

Things like that would occur occasionally. You would suddenly get extremely cold then the temperature would jump and you’d feel extremely hot. Ice and fire would dance in you and cause a hurricane.  

Tony sighed shakily as he grabbed a cloth and dampened it in cold water, tapping your face with it a few times before settling it on your forehead.

“It’s ok,” he choked. “Everything’s gonna be ok,” he caressed your face and leaned to kiss the crown of your head before he climbed in the bed and brought you closer. With whatever strength you had left, you snuggled to your father’s side and let his presence wash away all the fear. You knew he was not telling you something, but for all your genius, you couldn’t understand what it was. 

The oxygen was ending soon and he knew that you had realized that. You even told him it out loud. But what you didn’t know was that ‘soon’ was too close for comfort. In fact, ‘soon’ was coming in mere hours.

And he couldn’t tell you.

He didn’t want to tell you that death would snatch you all away in the morrow. He didn’t want you to die terrified. And despite your efforts at hiding it, he knew that you were.

“Sleep… sleep now,” he muttered as he tightened his arms around you and you nuzzled in the crook of his neck. The least he could do was comfort and warm you. He knew you always slept better when he was close by. He managed to drive both fear and nightmares away. The least he could do was help you die in peace. And the only way for you to die peacefully was in your sleep.

Not much time passed and he felt you relax as your breathing evened out. He planted one more kiss on the crown of your head before he stood up and moved to the other room.

“Hey,” he murmured and the blue woman nodded her head.

“You should be with Y/N,” she rasped out and his lips twitched as he turned to glance in the direction of your room for a second before back at the alien.

“Oh, I’m going back to her… I just… I don’t want to leave you alone either,” he told her offhandedly and she raised her eyebrows in surprise. “I uh, actually came to invite you to join our sleepover party,” he said with fake enthusiasm and she looked at him with wide eyes. He sat down on the floor next to her and both stared at the window and what was beyond it – the stars.

“I’ll go grab my pillow,” she finally uttered and he nodded, watching as she stood up and left for her room. He stayed for a while, staring at the galaxy stretching in front of him, trying to keep his emotions and tears at bay. He failed. He failed the universe. He failed his friends and teammates. He failed Pepper. But most importantly, he failed his own child. In the end, he didn’t break the vicious cycle of bad parenting. He was just as failure a father as Howard had been.  

Just as he was about to stand up and go back to Nebula and his daughter, a bright light blinded him. It was coming closer and closer and closer. The energy it was giving off was no different than that of an actual star.

Then he managed to look past the glow with squinted eyes and see the shape of a woman who was staring at him with concern and regret. And then she dove down and a second later he felt the ship shake as it began moving once again.  

He was shocked at first but the shock melted into hope as a wide smile stretched from ear to ear. He rushed to the other room, almost bumping into Nebula, and he excitedly told her and, now woke from the sudden jerking movements you, about what just happened. Relief flooded all three of you as you shared a group hug.

A few hours had passed since the appearance of the strange woman. For a second there, as the oxygen was getting thinner and thinner and it was getting harder to breathe, you had begun losing the hope you had built previously. But then you saw the familiar sight of planet Earth.

The joy and relief were indescribable.

You entered the atmosphere and not long after the ship was landing on the lawn of the Avengers Facility.

The people who had been inside had felt the tremors and had run out, wondering what was happening. When they saw the spaceship, their thoughts immediately went to Tony, you, and the others. Who else could be on that ship after all?

They gathered in front of the Milano with hopeful faces.

Then the doors opened and the fresh familiar Earthly oxygen flooded in. You took large, much-needed gulps and let more smiles grace your faces. Tony insisted on you being taken out first but both he and Nebula were too weak. They could barely stand on their feet, much less carry another person so Tony opted to rush, more likely stumble, out of the spaceship to ask for help. The moment he stepped out, he was swarmed by his teammates and surprisingly hugged by Steve, all previous animosity vanishing.

“I lost the kid,” he muttered and Steve’s arms squeezed him. “Pepper…is she?” he asked, dreading the answer, but then the strawberry-blonde showed up breathless and latched onto him for dear life.

“Tony… where is Y/N?” asked slowly Natasha with glistening eyes filled with worry and dread, and he nodded back at the ship.

“She’s inside but her condition is pretty bad. Someone has to… someone has to go get her and bring her to the medical facility at once,” he spoke quickly and shakily and Thor immediately rushed inside the ship.

He harshly opened the doors and peeked in all rooms before he finally found you in one of them, lying on the bed, looking so vulnerable. It sent tremors down his spine. You looked to be on the brink of death and it was their fault.

No. Thanos’ fault.

No. Their fault.

He rubbed his temple in order to disperse the forming headache before he gently pulled the blankets away. His heart dropped. There wasn’t even a single spot that wasn’t covered in bandages.

“Thor,” you whispered with a small smile and he gulped, smiling back at you the best he could.

“Hey, my lady,” he then gently lifted you, trying his best to ignore the quiet whimpers of pain, and moved slowly so as to not jerk you too much, exiting the ship and joining the rest. Natasha couldn’t hold back a tear when her eyes landed on your broken form and the woman moved closer to you, now safely and comfortably tucked in Thor’s arms, caressing gently your cheek.

“How did we get here, huh?” you asked wobbly as your own tears escaped and Natasha managed a broken smile.

“We fought...We lost,” were the words that barely left her lips. “But we’ll fix everything,” she promised and you nodded, your lips still trembling as more tears leaked.

“Blonde suits you,” you whispered and Natasha chuckled, leaning down and pecking you on the cheek.

“C’mon, kiddo. Let’s get you fixed, hm?” spoke Tony softly as he approached the three and caressed his daughter’s head, wiping your tears with his thumbs. You gulped, nodding, and he sent you a weak smile, leaning down to kiss your forehead before stepping away and letting Thor move forward as everyone started walking inside the Facility.

Steve and Thor helped Tony. They brought him to the nearest bathroom and showered him, getting rid of all the dirt and grime. Then they put him in new clothes.

Meanwhile, Pepper, Natasha, and the new woman – Carol Danvers was her name – helped wash you up, but instead of putting you in fresh clothes, like how the guys did with Tony, they put you in a hospital gown because you needed to have more IVs plugged into you than Tony needed and your freshly bandaged wounds would need to receive more treatment very soon.

Bruce forced both of you onto wheelchairs afterward and even when he insisted you were admitted into the infirmary so you could rest, recover, and be treated more thoroughly, you insisted to be part of the gathering first.

You and Tony attracted looks of pity as you rolled into the big meeting room. You were both so skinny and fragile that everyone worried that you’d crumble at any second now.

“It’s been twenty-three days since Thanos came to Earth,” spoke softly Rhodey, followed by Natasha.

“World governments are… in pieces. The parts that are still working are trying to take a census and it looks like he did… He did exactly what he said he was gonna do,” she spoke grimly as multiple familiar faces appeared on the hologram screens, one of them being Peter, making Tony and you look down and place your heads in your hands in total defeat, guilt, and sorrow. “Thanos wiped out… 50% of all living creatures.”

“Where is he now? Where?” asked Tony and Steve shook his head.

“We don’t know. He just opened a portal and walked through.”

“What’s wrong with him?” Tony pointed at Thor, who was sitting on a stool next to your wheelchair, his gaze focused on the floor, his elbows on his knees. You were sending him concerned glances that would occasionally flicker to Tony to make sure he was doing all right. Seriously, you just worried too much for these two men. 

“Ah, he’s pissed,” answered Rocket. “He thinks he failed. Which of course he did, but there's a lot of that goin' around, ain't there?”

“Honestly, at this exact second, I thought you were a Build-A-Bear.”

“We’ve been hunting Thanos for three weeks now. Deep space scans, and satellites, and we’ve got nothing,” sighed Steve before his eyes fully landed on Tony and then on you. “Tony, Y/N, you fought him,” he stated and the two in question turned to look at the soldier with furrowed eyebrows.

“Who told you that?” asked Tony. “We didn’t fight him… No. He wiped my face with a planet and broke every bone in my daughter’s body and then almost choked her to death-” he sneered as his nose scrunched up, causing everyone to flinch as their eyes widened at the revelation of the battle that the Starks had led against the Titan. “-while the Bleecker Street magician gave away the store. That’s what happened. There was no fight,” he accentuated the last word and Steve nodded.

“Ok. Did he give you any clues? Any coordinates? Anything?” Tony just made a mind-blow motion with his hand and Steve sighed as he turned to face you. “What about you, Y/N/N? Do you remember anything?”

“I…uh…” you stuttered as your eyebrows furrowed in concentration which only brought a headache, making you wince as your hand flew to grasp your head. Tony snorted in irritation as he glared at Steve accusingly.

“Yeah, tough luck asking her. I mean, it’s not like the grape didn’t use her for a fly swatter. It’s not like she spent two months on a ship going through infections and fever. Like, can you not torment my kid with pointless questions, Rogers?! As if Thanos would reveal any coordinates to anyone. Are you kidding me?! We got nothing!” spat out Tony and everyone looked down. Thor’s eyes landed on you again and he grasped your shaking hand. You gave him a tired smile through watery eyes and looked at your lap once again.

“I saw this coming a few years back,” muttered Tony after a minute of silence. “I had a vision. I didn’t wanna believe it. I thought I was dreaming.”

“Tony, I’m gonna need you to focus,” continued Steve but Tony interrupted him.

“And I needed you. As in past tense. That trumps what you need. It’s too late, buddy… Sorry,” he said as he stood up. “You know what I need? I need to shave,” he grit out as his hand crashed down the bowl and mug in front of him as he wanted to support himself from falling, using the table. You straightened in the wheelchair, wanting nothing more than to get up and go help your father before he did something that would threaten his health…again.

“And I believe, I remember telling-” he started as he struggled to remove his IV.

“Tony, Tony, Tony!” came in Rhodey’s warnings but he didn’t pay any heed to them.

“-why otherwise, that what we needed was a suit of armor around the world. Remember that? Whether it impacted our precious freedoms or not. That’s what we needed!”

“Well, that didn’t work out, did it?” asked Steve

“I said we’d lose. You said ‘We’ll do that together too’,” he imitated Steve’s speech perfectly. “Well, guess what, Cap. We lost. And you weren’t there. But that’s what we do, right? Our best work after the fact? We're the Avengers? We're the Avengers? Not the Prevengers?” he asked as he whirled to look at each member.

“Ok, you made your point. Now sit down, please,” said Rhodey sternly as he tried to grab Tony and help him sit but the man wouldn’t budge.

“No, no. Here’s our savior… She’s great by the way,” he said as he pointed at Carol, and Rhodey was now actively holding Tony and trying to force him to sit down.

“Tony, sit, sit down!”

“We need you. You’re new blood. Bunch of tired old mills… I got nothing for you, Cap. I got no coordinates, no clues, no strategies, no options… Zero. Zip. Nada. No trust, liar,” he grit out in Steve’s face as his hand flew to his chest, ripping out the arc reactor, causing you to quickly stand up alarmed, only to get dizzy as your legs shook. Thor shot up and grabbed you by the shoulders, steadying you as he watched both you and Tony with concern.

“Here, take this. You find him and you put that on,” he growled as he shoved the glowing piece into the captain’s chest. “You hide,” he muttered as he stumbled and slumped on the ground, Rhodey barely catching him.

“Tony!”

“Dad!”

“I'm fine. I...” he waved you off but before he could reassure you that he was alright, he collapsed.

Returning to his trap roots with the technical refinements and raw power he's honed on jazzy boom bap beats in recent years, $oul $old $eparately is Freddie Gibbs' most varied and eye-catching project to date. While it lacks the cohesion and brevity of his past two full-lengths, his grab bag of beats and new musical ideas makes every moment here a surprise.

Ever since 2014's masterful Piñata, Freddie Gibbs has been jumping back and forth between left-field jazz rap collaborations with producers like The Alchemist and Madlib and the brash, explosive trap his early mixtapes and occasional 2010s releases, largely keeping them separate but letting them mingle every so often - think Baby $hit off Alfredo or Bandana's Situations. What that's caused, though, is his weaknesses in both styles to pop out more when they're all forced onto a single project - some of the jazzier beats are too empty and atmospheric for someone who commands the mic as dominantly as Gibbs, and his trappier projects often lacked the lyrical detail and technical precision that made those aforementioned jazz rap records such a delightful change of pace. But for his major label debut on Warner, $oul $old $eparately, Gibbs blends all the styles he's played with over the years into one 46-minute marvel, instilling the stylishness and charisma of his jazz rap records into heavier beats and bringing more hooks and melodies than ever before - if it feels less like a Freddie Gibbs album than ever before, it's because he's never approached an album with this mindset up until now. Thankfully, he's more than refined his craft over the years and treats these fourteen tracks to the most luxurious production he could find, $oul $old $eparately as gritty as it is elegant. The execution of all this isn't always clean, but Gibbs' energy never wavers. With producer credits ranging from Kaytranada to James Blake to DJ Dahi, one of the most refreshing things about $oul $old $eparately is how different it is from your usual Gibbs affair - sure, these are still stark gangsta rap songs with his signature humor thrown on top, but the many different moods provided to him means he's not stuck in the same mood the entire time. Blackest in the Room is the closest thing to Gibbs' past few records on here, produced by The Alchemist with all the calling cards of their Alfredo collaborative project, but there's hints of his recent jazz rap rendezvous in the gooey R&B jam Feel No Pain with Anderson .Paak and Raekwon and the smooth Rick Ross collaboration Lobster Omelette - combine this with hustling trap bangers like Pain & Strife with Migos' Offset and the wonderfully dirty South PYS with Tennessee rap legend DJ Paul, and you've got the most diverse and well-rounded Gibbs project to date, not looking to perfect a single sound so much as show off a little of everything he can do with the power of a major label behind him now. $oul $old $eparately is its own beast entirely, Gibbs showing off the various beats he can flow on top of and the allure he brings with his stories of family, drug business, and brutal violence that land no matter what his music sounds like. He's always been versatile, but never before has all his power been shown off in a single package. It can sometimes feel like $oul $old $eparately is jumping from idea to idea a bit too quickly, especially in the stretch of tracks from Feel No Pain to the Pusha T collab Gold Rings where the sound and themes each song explores are especially distant, but that also brings the album a sense of genuine energy and motion his previous projects never did. Not to say that Piñata or Alfredo didn't have a lot going for them, but their homogeneous sound delivered acuteness and immersion rather than the raw excitement and agility Gibbs shows off here. Where other rappers would begin to lag carrying so many different possibilities in their arsenal, Gibbs knows exactly where each of his weapons are and exactly when to use them, bringing a melodic flair to his verses on slick trap highlight Too Much and tapping into sensitive emotional corners on Grandma's Stove and not once losing his footing (although the variance in tone and intention causes these tender moments to feel strangely out-of-place compared to how similarly introspective tracks like Skinny Suge and Soul Right slotted in to their respective projects), $oul $old $eparately delivering smaller doses of Gibbs' usual magic but presenting so many options to choose from it's dizzying trying to choose a favorite. Every one of these tracks is engaging and fun in its own way, and despite the aesthetic changes and unique qualities of his other projects lost throughout the album, there's simply no denying how great the vast majority of these 15 tracks are. $oul $old $eperately isn't your standard Gibbs affair, but that's exactly what makes it work so well: unbeholden to the usual expectations of his albums, he lets loose and tries out a bit of everything, bringing to life some of the strongest songs in his career thus far and showing new avenues for him to explore through tracks like Feel No Pain and PYS. He's still one of the most recognizable and hard-hitting rappers today who can manage harsh street storytelling and a subtle emotional through lines within them and keep it all tightly packed and full of life, and the many different sounds he picks and chooses from here only serve to emphasize that ability. Whether he goes back to the hyper-focused intricacy of his last few projects or continues down this road of dynamic tracklists and a grab bag of refreshing beats, $oul $old $eperately proves just how well he can manage everything in one fell swoop.

Resilience

     If there is anything Akame is truly known, and feared for, it is her RESILIENCE in combat. Not her Resolve, not the Murasame (though yes people are terrified of that  too), but how much PUNISHMENT she can take. 

     The life of the Elite Seven was not EASY: they were the TOP executioners for the Empire. If they were hired, that was jobs on  the equivalent of GENERAL status, as Akame herself was trained by Great General Budo himself in hand to hand. And from a young age, they are trained to WITHSTAND ALL FORMS OF COMBAT. Where does this start?

     Well the first thing they start off with: is poisoning the children. It’s not stated how STRONG the poison is, but it is stated that throughout the five year training, the Children are poisoned and drugged hundreds of times to the point they GAIN IMMUNITY to the chemicals in  their system. And  they are hit with it so many times, and every known poison to man. Akame was the weakest in this field, but she was able to take a DIRECT cut from a poison  tipped dagger, and fight through it like it was nothing. Especially when it was a PARALYZING poison. 

     Atop of this, they are VERY resistant to pain, as their training regiments are so brutal, and they only get WORSE the minute they show pain, or, fear. However the biggest part? Is the amount of damage Akame sustained during her time as a 13 year old girl. 

     In ZERO, we meet a man named Weneg. Weneg was a ruthless son of a bitch leader of a group called the Gravekeepers, and I’ve spoken of this fight in the past, but I am now going to fully go in depth on it. ONLY AKAME could kill Weneg. How?

     The man states that he is ‘Cursed’, but his curse is seen as more of a BLESSING to him, than not, as it brings him to being invulnerable. As long as you strike him, you damage yourself. As he killed Guy this way, because Guy didn’t believe him. Guy landed a deadly blow on him, and in doing so, killed himself in the process. This curse then also has the draw back of HE REGENERATES afterwards. 

     The reason Akame is the only one who can kill him, is the blade in her hand, her Shingu, a weaker Teigu, known as Kiriichimonji. A blade that if you are sliced by it? You will NEVER mend that wound, no matter what. Even if the blade is SHATTERED, you will never heal. Meaning, HE can’t regenerate! But there’s much more to it than that: we see she’s taking the same level of wounds he is, and she is SMART enough to only graze him, so she doesn’t kill herself in the process. 

          And she CARVES at him like this, multiple times.

               Here’s where we realize her true SKILL with a blade.

     To anyone who knows how to wield a blade in real life: you know that stopping a swing is VERY difficult. The momentum, the precision required, it’s rough. But Akame? This is natural. Like BREATHING, as when he charges her to make her cut him deeper? She full STOPS the blade, and then only GRAZES him even with him putting his own weight into it to make her cut deeper. A feat that is immeasurably  hard, especially when you were full swing already. 

     The fight carries on for a LONG time: Weneg himself states that by half w ay through it, all he could do was try to dodge, it taking FAR too much energy to even counter, and it’s hinted in a later chapter, Akame cut him over ONE HUNDRED TIMES. Now, imagine that: I have cut myself many a  time cooking, or doing stupid shit (anyone who knows me knows I am accident prone). But she had to survive a constant fight of CUTTING HERSELF OVER ONE HUNDRED TIMES repeatedly. She had to fight through the bleeding, fight through the agony, as each single slash of his, tore her flesh. 

     Her thighs, arms, face, neck, she was carved up so bad she had to be in a half-body cast for a month. 

               This is her most PAINFUL fight, and it really sets the grounds for her future conflicts.

     During an Assignment with Night Raid, years later, they face Esdeath for the first time, and this is the first REAL time they understand Esdeath’s power compared to Akame’s. And it’s like night and day. Akame is leagues weaker, and Esdeath is a warmongering BEAST compared to her. The fight extends, they kill their target, and Night Raid flees: but not before Akame has six ribs broken, her sternum fractured, severe internal bleeding and damage dealt, as well as her RIGHT ARM is shattered in four sections. 

          The end result? She is in recovery for roughly one to three MONTHS due to damage.

               And even this? Is nothing compared to their last fight. 

     Enter their last fight: Akame has gone through fight after fight, she is TEARING through Generals, and now the final Obstacle, General Esdeath, the Strongest Combatant, is in her sights once more. She’s HYPED UP on performance enhancement drugs, amplifying her speed ten fold, her strength, she can barely FEEL PAIN now. She is giving her all. . .and still, it’s NOT ENOUGH to match the fighting. 

     Clash after clash, Akame doesn’t land a SINGLE blow, but Esdeath minces her up, little by little, beating her mercilessly. Cuts, bruises, severe damage dealt to her body OVER and OVER again, and still, she fights.

     Clearly, HER LEFT ARM is barely usable, and she’s COVERED in her own blood, where she has not landed a single STRIKE on Esdeath yet. But still, she fights! She is in excruciating pain, but still she GRITS HER TEETH and spills her blood for any chance of a HIT to land. She’s seeing her movements, reading her, outplaying and fighting back. 

          And she is but a SINGLE GIRL against a MONSTER. 

               No more than 19.

     She is at her limit and THEN some, and even then, she STILL is pushing her all, until the final moment. Because THAT is how tough she is: she is not unbeatable. She has her limits, but she REFUSES to let them show in battle. Because the ENTIRE NATION’S HOPES are on her shoulders. 

          A million soldiers: to one General.

               And she doesn’t get to BREATHE and calm down. 

     She sprints around the battlefield, waiting for an opportunity. She lands a BLOW and it’s still not enough! Esdeath is much too smart: she amputates, and continues to fight. The poison not enough. 

     So we come to the  MOST PAINFUL thing she’s ever done: Activate Her Trump Card. 

     As I’ve stated before, the Curse is a constant agony like taking a KNIFE and carving the markings along her skin repeatedly. But there’s more to it than that: Teigu take an INSANE amount of energy to use. And throughout the fight, the effort she is putting into keeping that form going? Is causing her to bleed internally. Wave used two Teigu, and in doing so, his STOMACH was torn apart from within. To the point he has to get medical attention regularly to make sure he doesn’t die. 

          Akame didn’t have to this same effect, but she did have her body PRACTICALLY KILLING ITSELF from within: half way through the fight coughing up blood, and losing her strength little by little. (Esdeath freezing the air to below 0 surely didn’t help this.) 

     And STILL she fought. 

          And fought.

               AND FOUGHT. 

                    All of this? Should show how TERRIFYING she is as a foe.

     To conclude: it’s not her STRENGTH, or her SPEED you need to worry about. It’s definitely not even the MURASAME you need to worry about. No. Her greatest strength, and her MOST DEADLY ATTRIBUTE: is her RESOLVE to stay on her feet. If you do not KILL HER QUICK, you will NOT kill her at all.

22. Drugging (Alternative)

It’s been less than two weeks since he’s been released into Aaron’s care and Ace already can’t handle the pain.

Everything hurts. His skin still feels raw from the burns, his insides tender from the multiple surgeries, his residual limbs and the phantom pain don’t let him sleep for more than a couple of hours at a time.

Aaron’s ministrations obviously don’t help.

Scars are coloured with bruises, aching joints are sprained, skin split and bleeding. He barely feels human anymore, just a collection of injuries and pain and misery. He still cries when Aaron hits him, but he can’t muster up the energy to do much else. Any chores or tasks that his twin gives him are left incomplete. Ace physically cannot do them.

When Aaron comes home this morning (at least he thinks it’s morning), he looks strangely pleased. Already a bad sign.

Ace still isn’t very sure what he’s supposed to do when his twin comes home. Sometimes, he’s waiting by the door and Aaron’s annoyed to see him. Other days, he doesn’t go to greet him and his brother gets angry that he’s being disrespectful. Anytime Aaron parks in the driveway, Ace can feel his heart start racing.

Ace hasn’t managed to get out of bed today, not yet. Everything hurts too much. He’s not overly eager to see what Aaron’s reaction is going to be. He hears the whistling approach his door, dread creeping into his thoughts, and flinches when the door is slammed open.

“Rise and shine, bitch,” Aaron says, voice ringing out in the mostly empty room. Again, he seems pleased. There’s a paper bag in his hand, and Ace doesn’t want to know what’s in it. Whatever it is, it’s not going to be good for him. “I’ve gone and done something nice for you. Aren’t you glad?”

That’s puzzling, but unfortunately Aaron takes his confused silence as disrespect, and is on him in mere seconds. A hand wrapped around his throat, making Ace sob and gasp and cry as his twin’s weight puts pressure on his damaged insides.

“I said, aren’t you glad?”

Ace can’t answer while he’s being choked, but that doesn’t seem to stop Aaron.

He doesn’t understand why this keeps happening. Why have they become this?

When he can barely see anything anymore, Aaron finally lets go, but doesn’t get up from where he’s pinning him down. Ace hears the paper of the bag rustling, and something green crosses his field of vision, still blurred from oxygen deprivation.

Aaron’s quiet as he does… something, and when Ace finally blinks the tears away enough to see what’s going on, the needle is already breaking his skin.

Aaron’s very good at finding veins.

Ace is too weak and in too much pain to struggle, and his noises of distress and confusion are shushed. “Shut up, dickhead. This is going to help you.” After a few long seconds, Aaron pulls away and takes the syringe with him.

“What…?”

“Found something that’s going to make you marginally less useless,” his twin crows, and grins. Ace doesn’t feel any different, but that quickly starts to change, even as his brother just climbs off and stands around.

Pain’s lessening.

Holy shit.

His disbelief must have shown on his face as he sits up, because Aaron looks extremely pleased with himself. It immediately makes alarm bells ring in his head. “...thank you, Aaron,” Ace says, because it can’t have been easy to get medication for—

“Feels good, doesn’t it?”

It does. It really does, but Ace doesn’t like how Aaron leans closer. Doesn’t like the smile and cold gaze.

“Yeah, I bet it does. You like feeling that way, don’t you?”

Ace blinks slowly. Something’s wrong.

“It’s a hell of a thing. Only thing that’s made the pain stop, right?”

A hand stroked his cheek for a moment, before it grabs his hair and pulls his head back. It doesn’t hurt.

Nothing hurts.

He can’t feel anything.

“And if you want to keep feeling good, you’ll behave. Be good, and I’ll keep helping you. Doesn’t that sound like a nice deal? All you have to do, for once in your fucking life, is not be a bitch, and behave.”

And Ace can only really try to nod, because he can’t find the words to express how wrong he feels. How wrong everything feels.

“Good.”
