Having a hard time finding this drawing because I probably didn't tag it right so Imma just repost. The full durandalite formal armor, worn for special occasions, celebrations, etc. It's very heavy (there's a lot of metal) and cumbersome so Azra prefers to only wear sleeker, slimmer, lighter designs in battle. Examples:

Worth noting that the Durandalite armor for winged individuals doesn't include protection between the shoulder blades of the wings. It's a convenient spot for Falco's sword when Falco leaves it behind.

And an example of some more modernized Durandalite armor:

We have a nest of baby cardinals right outside our front door that we’ve been checking up on. Along with raising 2 ducks, it got me thinking about what a baby Durandalite probably looks like. Baby Durandalites are notably fragile (or possibly just as fragile as a human baby?) so losing a newborn was quite common. Usually they didn’t even get names until the parents were sure their baby was going to survive at least the initial fragility of being a newborn. So while I did think to myself in some instances it might make sense for a Durandalite baby to be born precocial, I figured wherever they developed their wings from (mixed with their human-esque factor), plus the fact that I often compare them to birds of prey, probably means they’re more altricial than anything. I also feel like at one point in their lineage they were tree nesting, but were eventually forced underground (perhaps with the development of photosensitivity?). Baby head hair could be considered “down” as much as anything else, given the rest of their bodies aren’t covered in down.

I have decided I need to like… Actually draw some of the other characters in my universe, especially if they are of different or differing species than that ones I doodle all the time (AHEM PORCELAIN SKINNED EUROPEAN VAMPIRES).
So introducing! Horus Belvedere, MD, a very good surgical vampire boy. I would like to draw him more as essentially his type of vampire is more or less the exact opposite of a Durandalite vampire.
I would also like to draw my brights, wisps, and some of the other vampire types: ghast, podval, ufer, and some others… There’s lots of different species here!

Dry on doodling lately... Been trying to work on writing more.
But here’s a pic of Till aka the reason for Azra “I have a weakness for blonde boys” Engel, and YES HOLY SHIT A DIFFERENT CHARACTER. But also a Durandalite vampire... And a @brokenpom’s Nimue gathering up lots of birds.

Drawing things. I got concerned that I was same-facing Azra onto Falco so I doodled Azra’s face next to Falco’s to be sure, but sure enough, where there’s a Falco, there’s an Azra. I plooped him in real quick so everything is wrong! Huge hand, longer arms, and I put them at the same height even though they are very much NOT even close to the same height. Also Azra lookin mighty worried in that Durandalite armor he hates so much.
Second picture is idea I started. Gonna look not unlike the picture with the dead wolf.
Yup. My thoughts and scribbles.
