From 1970, Michael Leonard began moving from illustration to become a professional painter. His work reflects his sexuality in the beautiful and affectionate way that his portrays people at work and play – mostly men, but women also. He was asked to paint Queen Elizabeth II in 1985, and he illustrated Edmund White's groundbreaking book The Joy of Gay Sex in 1977. The past hours I have considered reading this very good homosexual book, the last in the Edmund white trilogy - Farewell symphony.

The previous two were beautiful and wrenching in their own right.

A Boys Own Story’s perspective on friendship felt a lot like what I sought for many years - and I feel like it’s something that a lot of gay man youth can maybe connect with.

Also maybe trying to connect with so much CONTENT (I REAalwlalalwowuyyyyy hate that word) is a baddd idea. Can one create their own culture? Idk. I have never experienced that.

Anyway. I want a lover. x.
