Dissidia Final Fantasy: Opera Omnia Shinryu Quests with Sephiroth Part 19

The Shinryu fights (level 300; currently the hardest kind of fight in the Dissidia Final Fantasy: Opera Omnia (DFFOO) mobile game) in this post feature Sephiroth from Final Fantasy VII as part of the team lineup.

Sephiroth from Final Fantasy VII

My Sephiroth from Final Fantasy VII (#ad) is Level 90 and Crystal Level 90. His 15cp, 35cp, Ex, LD, and BT are fully MLB. His Ex is at Ex+ 3/3 or Purple. His Burst weapon has been upgraded to BT+ 3/3 or Green.

Seph’s currently equipped with a Level 5 of 5 Greatsword Ultima Weapon. His High Armor’s been upgraded to Blue. His Summon Boards, Character Enhancement Boards, and Force Enhancements have been completed. He has his Bloom Stone.

Sephi has 3 Attack 108 with Max Brave 330 Artifacts and 3 Attack 108 with One-Winged Angel Boost★★ (Raises INT BRV, MAX BRV, ATK, DEF by 5% if HP is MAX at start of last wave) Artifacts.

Sephiroth is equipped with the following real A Spheres:

Edgar Roni Figaro’s (from Final Fantasy VI) Debuff Power

Increases BRV damage dealt by 10% while an enemy is debuffed

Cloud Strife’s (from Final Fantasy VII) Critical Power

Raises BRV damage dealt with critical hits by 10%

Vayne Carudas Solidor’s (from Final Fantasy XII) Broken Power

When attacking target afflicted with Break: • Increases BRV damage dealt by 10%

I talk more about this in other posts, but I’ve been using Sephiroth for Lufenia (level 200) and Lufenia+ (level 250) quests basically ever since I got his LD and BT even back when he wasn’t that good at all. I’d like to keep using him even for Shinryu quests.

An Elegant Coffee Break Shinryu Quest

Also known as An Elegant Coffee Break Pt. 14 SHINRYU. This fight has 1 wave with 1 main enemy, the Château d’illusion, and his 2 minions, the Generals. In this quest, only the holy, dark, and lightning elements are not resisted by the enemies.

The boss has 2 different stances - Open Book and Closed Book. The Open Book gives him -50% HP damage resistance while the Closed Book gives him +50% HP damage resistance.

The minions can never be killed. Any damage dealt to them is automatically healed. They can give their allies a brave shield buff.

Once the force gauge of the enemies reaches 100%, the boss will deal AoE BRV + HP damage that’s guaranteed to hit.

Then all enemies will enter 3 turns of force time with the following effects: all of your chars will not be able to gain any brave.

The boss will change his stance upon reaching certain HP percentage thresholds.

When the boss enters the Open Book stance, his minions will automatically be killed. When he switches to the Closed Book stance, his minions will be resummoned.

For this fight, my team was Sephiroth, Cid Raines from Final Fantasy XIII, and Sherlotta from Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Echoes of Time with Pandemonium as my summon. My Calls were Leo Cristophe’s from Final Fantasy VI, Keiss’s from Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: The Crystal Bearers, and Lunafreya Nox Fleuret’s from Final Fantasy XV.

Keiss’s LD Call will afflict the enemies with a debuff that will battery the party every time a launch occurs. Leo’s Calls will afflict one enemy with a debuff that will increase the damage output of my chars. His LD Call can also delay one enemy by 2 turns.

Lunafreya’s regular Call provides party-wide healing. Her LD Call enables its user to get 3 turns in a row.

Before doing this fight for real, I first went to confirm if non-elemental attacks were also being resisted or not so I’d know if I need to bring an imperil and enchant Call.

Thankfully, non-elemental attacks aren’t resisted at all so don’t need to worry about enchanting my party with either the holy, dark, or lightning elements.

Have Raines’s and Sherlotta’s 15cp, 35cp, Ex, LD, BT, and FR fully MLB. Their Ex weapons have been Purpled. Their Burst weapons have been Greened. Their High Armors have been Blued.

They have their Bloom Stones. They have triple perfect Artifacts and triple real Spheres.

All of their Summon Boards, Character Enhancement Boards, and Force Enhancements have been completed.

Raines is currently equipped with my Level 5 of 5 Fist-type Ultima Weapon while Sherlotta has my Level 5 of 5 Special or Unique-type Ultima Weapon.

Sherlotta is a really good support, buffer, and healer. She has a few instant turn rate moves which buff the party and make the force gauge charge faster.

Cid Raines is a really good magical DPS. He can launch with every one of his moves. Some of his moves will even battery the party for these launches. If Cid initiates a launch, he will always join the chain attack that follows.

He also has some turn manipulation in his kit. He can even delay all enemies by 1 turn every time he uses his Ex ability. Said ability can also remove the buffs of enemies and the debuffs of the party.

Initially, I was thinking of taking on this Shinryu quest with a full Final Fantasy VII party. Was planning to bring Tifa Lockhart from Final Fantasy VII and Aeris or Aerith Gainsborough from Final Fantasy VII to go with Sephiroth.

This was before I ended up fully building Cid Raines. Since I maxed out Cid, for now, I want to use him as much and as often as possible. Plus, he is boosted for this Shinryu quest.

So Raines ended up replacing Tifa as my main DPS. I suppose I could still have gone with Aerith as my support instead of Sherlotta but I went with the latter since the former doesn’t have her own Burst weapon yet.

When the battle started, used Leo’s regular Call as well as Keiss’s LD Call already.

On Sherlotta’s turn, used her instant turn rate skill to buff and battery the party then I switched her out for the friend support Selphie Tilmitt from Final Fantasy VIII that I borrowed.

Selphie is also a support, healer, and buffer. Like Aerith, she doesn’t have her own Burst weapon yet. She doesn’t have a Force weapon either.

Borrowed a Selphie friend because of her LD. Selphie’s LD afflicts enemies with a debuff that allows all chars to initiate launches each turn. This debuff will also battery the party for these launches.

Selphie also has instant turn rate moves that buff and battery the party and quickly charge the force gauge. Proceeded to spam those moves 4 times. Then, on Selphie’s 5th and last turn, I used her LD to debuff the enemies and launch them.

Had Sephiroth activate his Burst+ finisher, Heaven’s Light. One of the effects of his BT+ is that it will set the brave of all enemies to 1 for 4 turns. This makes it easy to just keep on breaking and delaying them.

For Raines, just had him use any of his skills. Just needed to make sure that none of his buffs would run out before I could go into his Burst+ phase.

When Sherlotta returned, spammed her instant turn rate moves to get my force gauge to 100% already.

Once my force gauge was finally fully charged, had Sherlotta use her Additional Ability then her BT+ finisher.

Can’t remember for sure anymore if Sephi got another turn before Raines but if he did, I totally should have used Leo’s LD Call for the additional buff but I forgot. Or I could have tried using it much earlier at least.

By the time I remembered Leo’s LD Call, it was too late to cast it because Raines’s FR was already active. Didn’t want to use Leo’s LD Call and waste one of my force time turns.

Anyway, on Cid Raines’s turn, had him use his Additional Ability then Lunafreya’s LD Call. Then I activated his Force ability.

Raines’s force ability, Raging Rebellion, initiates a launch and makes all other enemies launchable. Cid’s FR also allows him to move the turns of his allies to go right after him.

The conditions for increasing the HP damage bonus of Raines’s FR are as follows:

+20% for each char that participates in a launch

+20% if a char initiates a launch

+30% if Cid Raines initiates a launch

So right after using Cid’s FR, Sephiroth and Sherlotta got a turn. Sherlotta got to go first. For a moment, I forgot that Selphie’s debuff was currently active on all the enemies so they were all launchable.

I thought the main boss wasn’t launchable anymore so I had Sherlotta target one of the Generals so she can initiate a launch and increase the HP damage bonus as high as possible.

Well, I was able to increase the HP damage bonus by a lot (IIRC, it was around 60% or so) but all the damage my chars dealt on this turn was wasted since the General who got hit just healed himself right afterwards.

At least I finally remembered Selphie’s debuff by the time it was Sephi’s turn. So when he attacked, had him target the main boss. By now, Seph still has 3 turns of his BT+ effect left.

Anyway, when it was finally Cid Raines’s turn again, had him use his BT+ finisher then I went stratight into his Burst+ mode.

By now, have 7 turns of force time left and my HP damage bonus was at 256%. The main boss was down to 88% HP.

One of the effects of Raines’s BT+ is that it upgrades the attack he does at the end of a chain. This is similar to how Tifa does 2 follow-ups every time she moves while her own Burst+ effect is active.

Raines launched the boss every time he moved. Thanks to the debuffs from Selphie and Keiss and the buffs and auras from Sherlotta’s BT+ finisher, everyone always had max brave to dump during these launches.

Cid would join the end of every launch and proceed to deal even more damage. I know he’s boosted in this quest but still. Was really impressed with how powerful he is.

Raines can increase the HP damage bonus of his FR by 90% but there were times when I even saw him increase the bonus by 100%. Hell, yes!

In fact, Cid Raines was so super special awesome that by the time I only had 1 turn of force time and Burst+ phase time left, the boss was down to 4% HP. My HP damage bonus was now at 841%.

So right after the animation for Opposing Destiny, Cid’s BT+ finisher, I was quickly being greeted by the total HP damage bonus screen followed by the victory screen.

It felt like things happened way too fast with the screens quickly changing from one to the other so wasn’t able to take a screenshot of the total HP damage bonus during Raines’s Burst+ mode.

Anyway, the battle ended on turn 9. Got the score and all the other mission requirements.

This fight was so easy. With this team, was basically able to just ignore all the mechanics and gimmicks of this battle and launch my way to victory. LOL.

None of the enemies even got to move or do anything. They basically just stood there while my chars attacked. The enemies never got to use their force ability or go into their force time since the fight ended before their force gauge got fully charged.

The boss’s HP damage resistance didn’t seem to matter at all. The fact that he could switch between 2 different stances was basically a non-issue as well.

An Elegant Coffee Break Shinryu Quest with Enna Kros

There’s a time-limited mission that wants us to clear the An Elegant Coffee Break Shinryu quest with Enna Kros from World of Final Fantasy in our party and without using a friend support.

My Enna Kros isn’t built at all. Missing multiple of her weapons. IIRC, the only weapon I have that belongs to her is her 15cp and even that hasn’t been fully limit broken.

But Raines is just so good that he was able to carry Enna Kros to victory. Since I couldn’t bring a friend support, I brought my own Selphie.

The screenshot above shows that I borrowed a friend support Lunafreya but I never brought her into battle. Just borrowed her because she has max Force Enhancements while my Enna doesn’t have any at all.

Not sure if having a friend with max Force Enhancements will help make my force gauge charge faster even if they aren’t brought into battle but thought I’d give it a try anyway just in case. LOL.

Anyway, had Selphie spam her instant turn rate moves to speed up the charging of my force gauge. Her LD can also delay all the enemies by 2 turns.

With Selphie’s LD plus the turn manipulation from some of Raines’s moves, was able to keep the enemies from moving. IIRC, they only got to move like once or twice or something.

Anyway, really glad I was able to clear this time-limited mission even if my Enna Kros isn’t fully built or maxed out. Cid Raines FTW! LOL.

Okay alright part 2 ive seen now. I think i can start to scribble down some rambly thoughts. Spoilers for Oceanic Magica against the volcanic witches part 1 and 2.

So this is going in a very different direction than I was expecting. First chapter, I wasn’t a big fan of this whole oceanic and volcanic witches segregation thing. Thought it was quite silly and that it made the witch part of the universe feel less diverse. Now my stupid ass is realizing that’s exactly the point.

So world of ice is currently more of a fantasy political drama. The world of the witches is divided between two parties that already don’t get along well which each other. They try their best to cooperate and make the magic world inhabitable and not destroy their entire system, but as we saw in the court of law in chapter one, it’s difficult. Both sides are screaming at each other during a legal session, can you imagine how their political debates are??

Their legal system is in shambles, as we saw when they tried to prosecute Magica and Grilla. The judges are 2 people, both incredibly biased to their own side, trying to make every session come out in their own favor. Magica literally gets a lighter sentence because she personally knows one of the judges.

The tensions between sea and volcanic witches are pretty high throughout their entire society (it seems they just get out more in court. Kinda like with football in our world), as we see in the second chapter as well. When the 7-2 volcanic witches arrive at Roberta’s (LETS GOOO BTW ROBERTA GOATED why is she so tall though) house and a bunch of sea witches arrive to help her, they immediately grab the chance to insinuate negative assumptions about them. And to make it even more clear, we have our villain proclaiming everything is going according to plan. Like it wasn’t obvious enough.

So let me lay it down ever more obviously. Basically it’s: witch society= two party system that doesn’t work. Bad guy is trying to stir up as much polarization as possible by framing two people from both factions as having committed a terrible crime. Those two people are Magica and Grilla fugitive lovers running away together trying to bring justice to the table and fix society. The whole ice world thing is just a metaphor for problems that we refuse to solve because we’d rather make the other look bad than working together.

So thats the basic gist of it for now. Im especially curious to see how Enna will handle it at the end. Now lets talk about the other fun stuff.

Grilla and Magica are still gay

Some nice character moments that are probably set ups for later (like how magica completely changes character the moment she sees the number one dime. Great scene now that i looked at it again)

Of course it’s not all politics. We also have a lot of great action sequences. And its still a MAGIC society in which this stuff is happening, and its all delightful.

AND ROBERTA KSKSBEKSKSM For some reason Facciotto made her like twice Magica’s height. Look at this.

They used to be the same height now magica has to stand on a stone WHAT DID THEY FEED HER

But I like Roberta she’s a sea witch which eh we’ll see how that turns out. Interesting that she has a whole island for herself. I thought she was more of a traveler. But nothing actually matters except for the fact that shes here and i love her.

Irma is in the magic equivalent of Coral Island. (OR IS SHE??? Oooooohh mysterious who is the figure walkinga round in her house then?) She looks like Juniper from pkna. I guess prison just makes you look younger. I’m gonna sit in a cell for a few weeks and see if my skin has gotten nicer.

The prison looks cool. I wouldn’t mind if it’s gonna be the main setpiece for next week. It honestly looks more interesting than Coral Island already but that could also be recensy bias.

Scrooge is a huge dick which is fun. Feels very Barks. Magica’s line to him: “I’m not a good person, but I would never want to get rich by profiting off a dying world”(very loose translation but thats the general vibe) is great. I’m not expecting anything special with him (he’a just a side character here after all), and you already know when he comes back he will have realized what is right and use what he got for good, but it’s still a nice classic Scrooge thing. It’s at least not DT17 or Rosa Scrooge. I’m sorry I love Gervasio but I’ve just seen too much Rosa Scrooge lately, so this is nice.

Have we talked about Facciotto yet? I feel like I have but I forgot. Doesnt matter because Facciotto deserves all the praise he can get. This is 100% his best work yet. Every single panel looks absolutely stunning. Feels like a completely different art style compared to like 10 years ago. New Facciotto begins here guys.

His designs for the new ocean witches are great too. Character wise i don’t really care that much, same with the volcanic witches. They kind of all blend together except for obvs Grilla.

right okay. shouting into the void here so i can work out plot points because this is how i work best (or something)

frost & fire plot goes like this:

1: find out super powerful dragon has died -> 2: go ''oh shit'' but think nothing of it, it's not your problem (yeah nope its about to be) -> 3: mysterious letter! oh crap -> 4: anne won't go, so enna does, but only after a specific request from grandfather the dragon (enna doesn't want to go either, but it is impressed upon her that hey, maybe go see this out, eh? -> 5: ruh roh, the dragon thing might actually be a big deal, but she isn't that concerned (yet), surely its someone else's problem -> 6: nope enna it is in fact your problem, sorry -> 7: uhhhhhh... something?

Backstory: You are Gandalf’s granddaughter. Long ago you were captured by the Mirkwood elves after saving the life of their prince, Legolas Greenleaf. He tended your injuries and the two of you fell in love. But it was a time of war and the fates were cruel, tearing you and Legolas apart on separate paths. Hundreds of years later, you and Legolas meet again on a quest to destroy the One Ring. But when Gandalf is murdered before your very eyes, Legolas fears that he will lose your heart forever.

Warning: Mentions of cannon character death. Shock, disassociation, intense grief.

Galandriel was speaking, searching each of them with her eyes and her mind. Legolas knew the tradition. He understood the reasons and ways behind the queen’s reservations. But this was no time for formality. He was cradling his captive, his beloved, limp in his arms. She was heavily drugged by Aragorn’s herbal concoctions. It had been the only way. Legolas alone had carried her despite Aragorn and his constant offers to assist. He needed Galandriel’s help now. Surely she could sense that something was wrong.

Finally, finally Galandriel’s crystal gaze landed on him, the even expression on her face breaking slightly as she took in the sight before her. “Iel nin,” she crossed to where Legolas stood, the fellowship parting so that she could pass. “ Ennas na- baw injurui.” It was both a statement and a question.

“Ha na- hen mán.” Legolas blinked against the painful sting in his eyes as Galandriel brushed the hair off of his beloved’s pale forehead.

“Tul- na nin.” Galandriel took her from Legolas easily, the swiftness of it causing him to sway unsteadily.

Aragorn took a step towards him.

“I will care for her now.” Galandriel spoke, addressing the entire Fellowship. “Rest, for you are weary in both body and soul.”

“My place is by her side.” Legolas drew himself up despite the fatigue washing over him. “I must be there when she wakes.”

“Legolas,” Aragorn touched his arm. “She has spoken.”

“Would you not do the same?” Legolas looked at him.

The tears in Aragorn’s eyes said more than any words could. But he did not release him. “Please, mellon nin.”

“Vedui- na Aragorn.” Haldir stepped between Legolas and Galandriel. “Cin baur post.”

Helplessness had begun to drown Legolas. He allowed Aragorn to guide him away, gaze fastened to the pale face of his beloved. Please, beloved, he thought, come back to me. I cannot lose you again.

You woke to Galandriel singing in your ear, her soft voice sending you back into the memories of when you were a child. Gandalf had been worried that you would become rough and unladylike should you be raised by him alone. Galandriel proved an obvious choice for a maternal figure. When you were not traveling with Gandalf or learning from Elrond you spent your time with Galandriel, learning the ways of a elvish lady.

But that had been so long ago, back when you were a little girl determined to become a woman. Now you were both a woman and a warrior with a thousand adventures under your belt. Now you were strong and experienced and prepared. And yet, never before had you felt so weak.

“Naneth,” you opened your eyes. You were lying on a bed of the softest furs wearing a gown of white silk. Your skin felt fresh and clean. Your hair lay brushed and shining against the pillow. The ache in your head was dull yet ever present. Just like the ache in your heart from Gandalf’s absence. An ache that could not be healed.

I’m here, Galandriel’s voice sounded in your thoughts, speaking the language of men. She was standing at the edge of the small wooded clearing you found yourself in, the hazy moonlight and fiery blue torches reflecting off her figure as she stooped to dip a cloth into a wooden basin of water.

You sat up slowly, gripping the furs as emotions swept over you. This was not a dream. None of it was a dream. Your eyes filled with tears as the memory of the Balrog invaded your mind, followed by Gandalf’s last words given only to you. She will explain everything, he said.

Galandriel crossed to you with the cloth in hand. Her brow was wrinkled in worry, an emotion she usually concealed with ease. You looked up at her as she knelt beside you. “He’s gone.”

“It is but a temporary state.” Galandriel pressed the cool cloth to your cheek. “The pain will pass.”

“Tell me,” you reached up and grasped her wrist. Her skin was softer than the finest of silks. “Gandalf said that she would explain everything. You are the only woman in his life besides myself.”

Galandriel searched your face with her gaze. Then she seemed to come to a resolution within herself and pulled the cloth away. “Do you know where you came from?”

“I am from the bloodline of men. My mother and father were killed in the first war against evil.” You said it without thinking, waiting for her to continue.

Galandriel’s head tilted ever so slightly. “Then why have you been spared from the lifespan of a mortal?”

“Because...” Your brow furrowed. “Because Gandalf’s magic gave me the lifespan of a wizard.”

“But...” Your heart was beating faster now, however you knew not what there was to cause such anxiety. “Gandalf saved me after my parent’s death. He raised me as his own, taught me his magic,”

“How many seasons had you seen when Gandalf claimed you as his?”

“...I don’t understand.”

“What were the names of your mother and father?”

“I...I...” The ache in your head grew worse. You ran your fingers through your hair, staring at nothing as you searched through your earliest memories for answers. But the further back your thoughts went, the more questions seemed to arise. “I don’t remember.” You breathed.

A sad smile settled on Galandriel’s lips. “You remember not because there is no memory to grasp. You never had parents. You are not from the bloodline of men.”

The shock of her words jolted through you. You stood up, swaying unsteadily as you walked away from her to the edge of the clearing. You had no memories. You had no origins.

You reached out and ran your fingers along the rough bark of a tree, using it to support your trembling body. “The earliest memory I possess...is being found by Gandalf...I was in the woods...I didn’t know where I was, or...who I was.” A tear slipped down your cheek. “Gandalf claimed me.”

“You are maia, little one.” There was the soft rustle of Galandriel’s dress as she stood. “Incarnated to walk these lands once again.”

“No, surely this is impossible.”

“Gandalf nor I were given understanding as to why you had been placed in the forest with no memory. Perhaps it is a curse from the life you lived before. But Gandalf’s heart was impressed with the sense that he was to care for you and unsure that you learned according to the ways of men and elves.”

“But why, Mother?” you turned to look at her. “If it is true and I am cursed, what is my purpose now? Why am I here? Why did the fates give me you and Gandalf and...and Legolas. Why have I been given the honor of assisting in countless quests?”

Galandriel took a deep breath. When she spoke, her voice sounded deeper, as if there was another, stronger being speaking through her soul. “You have been chosen for this moment. You will assist in joining the lands by uniting the tribes of men and elves.”

“No,” you shook your head, backing up until you hit the tree you had been leaning on. “No, I cannot do such a thing. Our world teeters on the brink of war. A tiny hobbit carries one of the strongest powers ever created. Gandalf has died. You cannot give me this task, I will never succeed.”

“You have no choice.”

“I refuse!” You screamed, wiping angrily at the tears running down your cheeks.”

“Daughter,” Galandriel’s voice grew soft once more.

You looked up at her. She gave a gentle smile and held out her arms. You ran into her embrace without question, just as you did when you were small. Galandriel held you close, shushing you as she ran her fingers through your hair. You hugged her tightly. She smelled of the woods and the ocean and moonflowers at their peak. Your tears made her shoulder damp. You were shaking violently, crying out of fear and shock and sadness. How could your entire existence change in a mere moment? Why was this happening to you?

After what felt like an eternity, Galandriel pulled away to look into your eyes. “Listen to me,” she began, tucking a strand of your hair behind your ear. “It may seem impossible, but the truth you now hold will give you strength. Your powers are strong, perhaps even stronger than mine. Use them for battle. Use them to win. If this is truly the task you have been chosen for, then you will succeed.”

“What of Legolas?” Your heart gave a painful twinge. “I must leave him again. He would only serve as a distraction for my purpose.”

“Or the fates could use him to aid you in your task. Trust in your heart.”

“My head and heart are at war now.” You wiped the tears away once more and stepped back. “I must think.”

Galandriel nodded. “Go and reflect. I will ensure that you are not disturbed.”

You nodded back without fully hearing her words. “Thank you, Mother.”

“Of course, my daughter.” Galandriel watched as you turned and walked away, giving another long, heavy sigh.

She could hear your thoughts swirling about in your head, struggling to make sense of all that had happened. But the thought that sounded loudest was that you did not want to see Legolas. The belief that the day’s events were reason to severe the bond between your two hearts.

It worried Galandriel. She knew all too well that one’s spiraling thoughts could quickly lead to grievous error. She could not let that happen, especially not to you.

It was this thought that caused Galandriel to turn and walk in the opposite direction, heading towards where the Fellowship had been sent to rest for the night.

Taking Care of your clothes 101

Hiiiiiiiii lovelys~~~ I started working like a year ago and with the influx of money followed an influx of new clothes ( mostly brandy meville+thrifted pieces). This has made me pay more attention to how I can keep my clothes nicer for longer and view them more as investments. Keeping your clothes nicer for longer also reduces the amount in landfills, helps battle fast fashion and is good for the environment! Here's a list of tips that I use to keep my pieces nice and fresh!! I'm not an expert but they worked for me, so let me know how they work for you <3

~washing~

-This might sound a little gross ( dont come after me) but wash your clothes less often!! Obviously, if they smell and have stains you should, but otherwise try and be careful while you wear them so you dont have to wash them as often. Undies and socks should be washed after wearing them 1-2 times but other than that, wash after wearing 4-7 times!! Every time you wash your clothes your wearing down the fabric and this can shorten the lifespan of your clothes a lot

-okay, so its wash day now!! I always select tap-cold and low spin on my washing machine to be as gentle with my clothes as possible. Also washing with cold water is better for the environment, so it's a plus plus. When drying, try to air dry all the pieces you can and then put the rest in your dryer on a low setting. It's a little bit time consuming, but I promise, its worth it!!

-Be sure to check the care tags on your clothes before washing for more details instructions. I honestly dont follow them to a tee ( im not hand washing brandy Melville, sorry) but sometimes they are very helpful!!

~stains~

-Okay, lets be honest, we've all had those nasty deodorant stains. I use toothpaste on mine, let it marinate (ew) for like 3 hours and then pop my clothes in the washer. Good as new!!! I use this on almost all of my brandy tops and it works like a charm :D

-For extra pesky stains, make a paste from a lil baking soda and water and scrub onto your clothes!! This also works really well for me

~extra tips~

-if your clothes get stretched out, just pop them into the dryer without washing them first!! Trust me, they will be good as new . I use this for my brandy tanks ( they r so so cute but always stretch out and its lowkey maddening)

-learn to sew/patch wholes. Its easy peasy and cheap. You can get needles from your local art store for like two dollars and white string for even less. It's cheap and worth learning, as it is a skill you'll use your whole life

Here all about the Astral Word.

1. The astral world is a realm that consists only of energies and is only accessible to people with a high spiritual level. So, Astralians exist on a level that is not visible to the human eye. 2. The astral world exists parallel to the human world. Because of this, Don Thousand was able to use the Numeron Network to fuse both worlds, harnessing the powers of the Numeron Code. If the astral word is destroyed, the earth go down as well. 3. In the astral world, any living being can use "Shining draw" (the creating play move). Also, it seems that damage done during the duel would remain instead of disappearing. 4. Eliphas is a kind of god or guardian of the astral world, created by the inhabitants, when Don Thousand brought chaos to the astral world. Astral was also created. The assumption is, that it was Enna. 5. The barian world emerged from a chunk of the astral world and represents the counterpart. Chaos reigns in this world, while the astral world has banished all chaos. Later Astral fuses the worlds back together with the nummeron code. 6. Astral world resembles a desert and many plants are dying. When Yuma enters this world, he fills it with life again and he can also heal the inhabitants who have cracks. 7. Eliphas notices this immediately and says that the residents are now infected with chaos. But apparently this world cannot live without chaos, which is why (a little) chaos also seems to be life energy. 8. When humans die, they can become reinincarnated in the astral world, if they´ve a pure soul. 9. From the astral world are the Duelmonsters. 10. Astralians all have fair skin that glows bluish or turquoise. Occasionally, some Astralians also have violet skin. Their empty-looking eyes also shine blue or turquoise. Her hair is white, blue, turquoise. Once lighter, once darker. The clothing of the Astralians looks old-fashioned. Astral, Eliphas, Don Thousand, and Enna stand out quite a bit with their looks. 11. Don Thousand is formerly from the astral world. However, he seems to have gotten his black coloring from the chaos. No other Astralian has such dark skin. The fact that Black Mist is also black is apparently due to the fact that he is a) a part of Don Thousand and b) the dark counterpart of the light-filled Astral.

Final Fantasy Record Keeper 7th Anniversary Festival Luck of the Realms Banners Pulls

The 7th Anniversary Festival just started in the Final Fantasy Record Keeper (FFRK) mobile game.

Before the fest began, the game started its Carnival Countdown, the Luck of the Realms (LotR) or Realms on Parade (RoP) relic draws.

Each day, a new relic draw for each of the Final Fantasy realms from I - XV as well as Tactics, Type-0, and Core/Beyond (or Final Fantasy Record Keeper) will be released.

These draws cost 5 mythril (FFRK’s pulling currency) each. You can only pull once on each banner. You’ll get 3 relics (armors or weapons) per pull. One of these relics is guaranteed to be of 5-star rarity or higher.

The Luck of the Realms banners will still be here even after the banners for the 7th Anniversary Festival event appear. Heck, the banners will still be here for a few days or so after the fest ends.

I talk more about this in another post but I actually ended up skipping the 7th Anniversary Festival event. Didn’t pull on any of the fest banners. Just did all the free draws since they were free.

Was all set to skip the Luck of the Realms banners too but just when these banners were set to end very soon, I got kinda tempted to pull so I decided to go for it.

Currently have 372 mythril on hand. Here are the results of my pulls on these Luck of the Realms banners:

Final Fantasy Record Keeper Luck of the Realms Relic Draw Banner

Decided to start pulling on the Final Fantasy Record Keeper or the Core/Beyond Luck of the Realms relic draw banner first.

Was hoping to get Elarra’s new Synchro Arcane Soul Break (SASB) and/or her Awakened Arcane Soul Break (AASB). Tyro’s AASB2 and his other relics that I don’t have yet would be welcome as well.

Unfortunately, all I got from this draw was Enna Kros’s (from World of Final Fantasy) Glint Soul Break (G), The World’s Rules.

It’s new but meh. I doubt I’ll ever use this even if I have Enna Kros’s Sync and AASB. Glints cost 1 bar to use so you’re better off saving the bars until you have 2 so you can cast an Awakening or Sync.

Final Fantasy VI Luck of the Realms Relic Draw Banner

Next, decided to try my luck on the Final Fantasy VI Luck of the Realms relic draw banner.

Missing a lot of Final Fantasy 6 relics so would love to get something new and useful. Been hearing lots of good things about Mog’s AASB2 so he’s one of my top wants from this realm.

Sadly, all I got from this draw was a dupe of Kefka Palazzo’s Glint, Path to Madness.

Ugh. What a waste of 5 mythril. Why couldn’t I have gotten something new? This is so disheartening.

Final Fantasy IX Luck of the Realms Relic Draw Banner

My pull on the Final Fantasy IX Luck of the Realms relic draw banner gave me something new but was still disappointed anyway.

Ended up with Beatrix’s Arcane Overstrike Soul Break (AOSB). Not sure if I have her AASB or not but I know I definitely don’t have her Sync. Getting her AOSB doesn’t make her usable.

AOSBs cost a whopping 3 bars to cast unless they’ve been honed to the max in which case they’ll only cost 2. These Soul Breaks only really deal damage and don’t offer much of anything else. So Syncs and Awakenings are still way better.

Final Fantasy VII Luck of the Realms Relic Draw Banner

Final Fantasy VII (#ad) is my favorite realm so it’s unsurprising that I already have lots of the Soul Breaks featured here. So was kinda worried about getting a dupe.

To my surprise and relief though, I actually got something new. Got Zack Fair’s (from Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII) AASB, Proud Heritage.

Pleased to see this. Already have a lot of Zack’s relics, including his Sync and his other Awakening. So getting this just made him more useful.

Final Fantasy XIV Luck of the Realms Relic Draw Banner

This banner gave me Yda Hext’s Glint+ Soul Break, Riddle of Fire. It’s new but meh.

Don’t think I have any of Yda’s other relics so I doubt this will see use anytime soon. At least Glint+ are better than Glints since they don’t cost any gauges to cast. I still prefer to get a Sync or AASB though.

Final Fantasy XIII Luck of the Realms Relic Draw Banner

This banner gave me Cid Raines’s Legend Materia Relic+, Hastening (Cid Raines). It’s new but also meh.

I do have Raines’s Sync and one of his Awakenings and he’s part of my Final Fantasy XIII realm team and my magical dark elemental team so this LMR+ of his will see use but still.

Wish I could have gotten a new Sync and/or AASB instead. Ugh. Why are my pulls on these banners so bad?

Final Fantasy V Luck of the Realms Relic Draw Banner

This banner gave me Faris Scherwiz’s (Sarisa Scherwil Tycoon) Ultra Soul Break, Phantom. It’s new but meh.

Have nothing else of note for Faris so this will not be seeing use at all, at least not until I get more relics for Faris.

Luck of the Realms Relic Draw Banners

Argh! So freaking pissed off. My pulls on the Luck of the Realms banners are so freaking bad. The only Awakening I got was Zack’s. Didn’t even get a single Sync. All the other relics I got seem crappy and useless.

So disappointed that I decided not to pull on any more of these banners now. It feels like I’m just wasting my mythril without even getting anything good or useful.

So I don't really have a wip playlist, but I have a general playlist I use for writing (mostly essays for school, but anything that's being a pain in the ass or I need to get done I use it for) plus a couple ones form when I'm working on specific wips, and those got a bunch of new editions! (the entire playlist, actually, the playlists for writing a specific wip didn't exist until this year).

I'm really looking forward to doing the worldbuilding for herald at dawn. its going to be so much fun, i can't wait. and also working on fleshing out the proper plot of ennas prequel and frost & fire. and the third thing is probably just getting back into writeblr in general because damn did i not have any spoons or motivation for like a year and a half. but i has both of those now!!!

In the tunnel there was a girl standing alone. Her name was Enna. She was crying, tears streaking tracks down her cheeks, and her shirt was wet with blood that did not belong to her. She stood in a stone tunnel with an arched ceiling. The floor was hard packed dirt, with the occasional flagstone poking out from underneath.

Her black-and-blue hair was in a simple braid down her back. It ended just above her waist. She was staring at someone in the distance, no more than 15 feet past. Her eyes were wide and wet; despite that, they were fierce, a hint of fire burning in the depths inside them. She reminded the elf at the end of the passageway of her mother. Stubborn and full of a fierce anger; one that was strong enough to burn down cities.

She didn’t make any move towards the elf. She knew she couldn’t win whatever fight would happen if she tried to stop him. Enna did not yet wish to join her brother in death. Instead, Enna asked one question. Just one, and nothing else. “Why?” she said, voice shaky. “Why did you kill my brother?”

The elf half turned, his face cast in shadow. “You wish to know why?” the man laughed, a deep, bone chilling, hollow laugh that Enna would never forget. “There are more powerful forces in this world than you know, girl, and it would do you wise to listen where your brother did not. Stay out of matters you do not, cannot, understand. Die now and redeem yourself from the crimes of your mother.”

“You knew my mother?” asked Enna, her voice soft and hollow.

“Yes. Why would I not, Enna Marie?” The elf leaned forward until his face hit the edge of the pool of low lamplight. Icy blue skin, a face framed by black hair, and a pair of eyes she saw in her own face everyday. Green eyes, eyes the color of emeralds and of even finer stones Enna could not hope to see. “I am your uncle, girl,” he spat. “I know of every ‘accident’; of the blasphemy that resulted in the birth of you and your heathen twin.”

His voice echoed as he drew back from the light. “I will make you pay for that. I will make you bleed and I will make you until you scream until that little dammed father of yours comes running. And I will make him watch as I bleed his two little girls dry, just as I did to his son.”

“My father is dead,” said Enna, softly. It was the only thing she could think of to say. “I don’t even know his name.” But no one was around to hear her. Echoing in the silence was a bone chilling laugh that would haunt her nightmares for decades to come.

Her uncle was long gone by the time anyone came down the passage to accuse her of fratricide, of the murder of her brother.

It was not Enna who had killed her brother, not Enna who had committed that most grievous of transgressions, the killing of one’s own blood, not yet. It was her uncle who had killed Zephyr, who had murdered the son of his once beloved sister.

But her pleas of innocence were not to be believed, and Enna would carry that blame for a decade and a half. Some people would never forgive her. Some people forgave her even before she did it, and some people believed her—that she did not need to be forgiven, because she had not done anything.

Enna would not die an innocent, not today. She would run, and run, and run. She would keep running until she could run no longer, and then she took the name Marie.

Un po' di chiarezza sulla questione giudaismo - sionismo - nazismo e palestina, e un occhiata alla geopolitica attuale.

Come già detto in articoli precedenti, il nazional socialismo alias nazismo è una creazione dei servizi segreti inglesi, il regno dei sionisti Rotschild che dettano legge almeno dal 1620.

D'altronde il nazional socialismo altri non era che una politica laburista accelerata economicamente per avere una grande credibilità da parte del popolo, e condita da spiritualità varie.

Hitler, se anche non fosse stato un agente inglese, e seppur all'epoca la distinzione non fosse ancora del tutto evidente, non poteva non conoscere la differenza tra giudaismo e sionismo, inoltre, essendo la sua una dottrina basata sulla razza, non poteva non sapere che i veri nemici non fossero semiti, ma bensì caucasici.

Sicuramente nella questione sionista, ovverosia la creazione di uno stato ebraico, ci sono cascati tantissimi giudei, al riguardo suggerisco di guardare l'ultima intervista al dr Gabor Mate' , un reduce di Auschwitz semita Ungherese.

Tenete presente che il grande inganno della Shoah non vale solamente per i non ebrei, poiche anche gli ebrei stessi sono stati e sono tuttora presi in giro sull'argomento, con mille menzogne, anche perché i mandanti sionisti dovrebbero altrimenti giustificare il fatto di aver sacrificato una parte di loro per la "causa".

Il vero giudeo, o meglio, il bravo giudeo, rispettoso delle regole della Torah, come ben spiega il noto rabbino Yisroel Dovid Weiss, prega ogni giorno Dio affinché lo stato di Israele cessi di esistere.

Come spiegato in altri post, Vladimir Putin, il cui vero nome non ci è dato sapere, è a sua volta un ebreo sionista, e avendo a disposizione tutti gli archivi di Auschwitz, non può non sapere cosa realmente avvenne in quegli anni. In un recente discorso ( credo ai brics) ha puntato l'indice sul fatto che in canada abbiano dato voce ad un nazista e questi sia stato applaudito anche dal presidente Ucraino Zelensky, ricordando che questi sia di origine ebrea. Ora, non dimentichiamo che la nazione Ucraina a partire dal 2014 si è trasformata in uno stato Nazista, così come è nazista la stessa Israele.

Israele poi è stata una di quelle nazioni che durante la pagliacciata covid, ha maggiormente vessato il proprio popolo, costringendo praticamente l'intera popolazione a farsi inoculare un finto vaccino che in pochi anni porterà tutti alla morte.

Durante la prima intifada a partire dal 1987 i palestinesi lottavano pacificamente per la creazione di un loro stato autonomo, erano guidati da un uomo forte e popolare Yasser Arafat. Questo scompigliava i piani di Israele, fu' allora che il Mossad creò i terroristi di Hamas finanziandoli e favorendoli, offrendo loro visibilità; il nemico era creato, e assieme a lui la possibilità di "difendersi".

Fu' infatti grazie agli attacchi terroristici che Israele continuò la sua espansione nei territori occupati, sino agli ultimi attentati che molto probabilmente consentiranno a Israele di occupare definitivamente e del tutto anche la striscia di Gaza e, probabilmente una buona parte della Cisgiordania.

Ricordiamo una cosa, la striscia di Gaza è un piccolo buco di 360 km2 confinante col mare e con l'Egitto, oltre che con la stessa Israele, per dare un idea il territorio comunale di Roma è di 1285 km2, ovvero 3 volte e mezza Gaza. Ora, sappiamo che prima degli attacchi coi missili Netanyahu ha dato ordine di abbassare la guardia per 7 ore, e già questo è di per se un evidenza, ma il punto è: come sono entrati 3.500 missili a Gaza? Ma credete davvero alla puttanata che in quel fazzoletto di terra più piccolo di Olbia e grande quanto Enna, possano entrare tutti quei missili senza che gli israeliani se ne accorgano? Se davvero lo pensate dovreste farvi curare da uno bravo 😂.

Tornando ai brics, vi siete mai chiesti chi li ha creati e finanziati? No? Ve lo dico io, Goldman Sachs. Questo fa' capire benissimo la direzione che stiamo prendendo; avete presente la guerra fredda e la cortina di ferro? Il mondo diviso in due tronconi? Ecco, esattamente lo stesso, adesso come allora l'uno era imprescindibile per l'esistenza dell' altro, e viceversa, ma con l'unica differenza che prima servivano i poveri per ingrassare l'occidente, adesso servono le popolazioni senza o con pochissimi diritti per terminare l'occidente; se pensate che i brics possano essere la salvezza, non avete capito nulla, il sistema di controllo cinese è il nostro destino e il destino anche di tutti gli altri, dopo aver, appunto, depopolato nei limiti del possibile senza violenza evidente.

A Singapore l'altra settimana c'è stata l'asta annuale per le automobili; dovete sapere che a Singapore per poter acquistare un automobile bisogna avere il permesso. Ecco, i permessi ( che sono in numero limitato) vengono concessi mediante offerte all'asta, quest'anno l'asta ha superato i 100.000 dollari. Mi spiego meglio, a Singapore ci vogliono 100.000 dollari non per acquistare un automobile ma per avere il permesso di acquistarla. Guardate pure ai brics... Ah dimenticavo, i brics sono stati creati e finanziati dalla banca ebreo sionista americana Goldman Sachs nel 2001, se pensate lo abbiano fatto per voi siete da curare 😁

Gideon the Ninth, Bonus Content, Naming Systems

The final Gideon the Ninth paperback bonus content: "A Little Explanation of Naming Systems".

First, the official explanation that your last name in the Nine Houses is not a family name, it's an arithmonym.(1) The first name is sometimes used to indicate family connection: the "hark" in "Harrowhark" is intentionally shared with her father, "Priamhark", and is a tribute to an ancestor of the Tombkeeper line. Thus, names like "Jeannemary" and "Coronabeth" derive from "heirloom name particles." Different Houses assign names in different ways.

Many Houses are also fond of referential diminutives (Mortus to Ortus).

Siblings, even twins, do not generally share last names, though sometimes they share parts of them. The Tridentarii being an exception, their shared name may indicate something about their parents' hopes for their children.(2) There are exceptions, such as the three Asht brothers who were definitively not triplets.

Names do not change with marriage. Non-necromancers pick which of the couple's houses to settle and affiliate themselves and their future children with. Necromancers do not marry outside their Houses, so stay affiliated with their native one. There are some additional rules imposed by certain Houses, such as, if a child is born with a Sixth parent, that child is automatically and irrevocably of the Sixth,(3) "which can prove a legal nightmare".

Here we switch to a note that not all names are included in the pronunciation guide that follows, "due to their appearance in the Bible or elsewhere (the Second, the Fifth, Isaac, Silas)."(4) Also, Muir says she's included some meta-notes to explain some of the jokes and references in her names, but adds:

You don't have to read these. Put your thumb over them if you like.

Harrowhark Nonagesimus: Harrow to rhyme with arrow. Noh-nah-GUESS-i-mus, with the last i like "bitter", and mus just this side of "moose". Harrow is named explicitly for the harrowing of Hell, and hark is an ominous word "that always precedes an awful time, in the old sense of "awe.""

Gideon Nav: nav like navigator. There are many reasons behind Gideon's name. The prophet "who really messed up the Midianites" is one. "Gideon is a prophetic name: someone named their own demise in her."

Ortus Nigenad: "ORT-us. To rhyme with tortoise, unless you pronounce tortoise "tor toys," in which case it doesn't." NIGH-ga-nad, with the hard G. Ortus is in reference to his father Mortus, but "Ortus by itself is the Latin for "rising." Is this hilarious or sad?"

Pelleamena Novenarius: Pelly-AM-enna, not ah-MAY-nah. Noh-ven-ARE-ee-us, with the same "oose" sound as Harrow's. Named for Peleus, the father of Achilles.(5)

Priamhark Noniusvianus: PRY-am-hark, three distinct syllables, with the h audible. NOH-nee-us-vee-AHN-us. "You should have the trick of the "us" sound by now. If you don't, it's fine, nobody cares, it's a random name in a novel about bonermancy."(6) Priam is a character from the Iliad, "famously a dad in a city about to go splat."

Aiglamene: Eye-GLAM-en-ay. From the French "aigle", the eagle.

Crux: rhymes with "sucks", means "cross" which has several layers of humour attached.(7)

Aisamorta: EYE-sa-mor-tah. "Aisa" is a Greek word related to destiny.

Lachrimorta: LACK-ri-mor-tah. From Latin "lacrima" (tears, the kind that well and drop from the eyes).

Glaurica: GLAU-ri-kah. Ri from "ridicule", not "reed".

Judith Deuteros: DEW-ter-oss. The Biblical Judith beheaded the general Holofernes,(8) in the deuterocanonical(9) Book of Judith. Also, the "Book of Deuteronomy is a very didactic(10) text."

Marta Dyas: DIE-ass, and Muir apologizes for not having a better way to explain. Marta, like martial, of war. "The Second House names are serious business."

Ianthe Tridentarius: Ee-AHN-thay, Try-den-TAR-ee-us.

Coronabeth Tridentarius: Cor-OWN-a-beth. Corona like a halo.

The twins were originally to be named Cainabeth and Abella, which Muir says was so unsubtle she "might as well have just gone with "Goodtwin" and "Badtwin." And it's not even accurate! It should be Badtwin, and Lessbadtwin."

Naberius Tern: Na-BEER-ee-us, this time "us" as in "fuss". TURN, like wishing he would turn and walk out the door. "Naberius is one of the demon princes of Hell. Will this mean anything significant later on?? (No.)"

Jeannemary Chatur: JOHN-mair-ee, with a soft, French "j" but definitely Mary, not Marie. Cha-TOUR, not chatter, "though that'd be appropriate." Jeannemary is "a Biblical car crash"(11), but Jeanne is specifically a reference to Jeanne D'Arc.(12)

Isaac Tettares: Tett-AR-ez, not "tett-aries". Isaac foreshadows Jesus's death in the Bible, by bringing the wood for his own sacrifice up a mountain. Here, Isaac foreshadows Gideon's death, by doing the brave thing. "I might as well have called Jeannemary and Isaac "Don'tgetattached" and "Deadsoon.""

Palamedes Sextus: Pal-AM-a-dees, and Muir had a comparison but removed it.(13) SEX-tus with the "us" as in "bus". Was briefly named Diomedes, "Athena's favourite goodboy in the Iliad," but that would've taken away Gideon's "stupidest joke in the book."(14)

Camilla Hect: last name to rhyme with "wrecked". Camilla's name was chosen to complement Palamedes's, as the necromancer and cavalier pairs who love each other often share a syllable or sound. In their case, "am", and in the case of Abigail and Magnus, the "g".

Dulcinea Septimus: Dul-sin-AY-a, not dul-sinn-eya. SEPT-i-mus, Sept like September, and the moose returns.

Note: "Dulcinea" is the famously illusory persona assigned to the prostitute Aldonza in Don Quixote: a case of a woman you want to exist, but who really doesn't. In this essay I will"(15)

Protesilaus Ebdoma: Prot-eh-sil-OW-us, prot not prote. EBB-do-mah, ebb like the tide and doma like domain. Protesilaus was the first to die at Troy, and is the first to die because of the Lyctor trials. ""Johnny Quickdeath" would've also been a good pick."

Silas Octakiseron: Ock-ta-KISS-er-on, rather than keys-er-on.

Colum Asht: COL-um like "column", "asht" like "ash" with an extra sound on the end. Colum refers to Columba(16). The Asht brothers have the names of sacrificial animals: Colum ("dove" in Irish), Ram (like the sheep), and Capris (goat). Muir feels bad for meta-misusing the Asht bros so much that she couldn't even manage to make a reference to how "Capris" shares a name with a style of trouser.(17)

Incidental names and terms:

Matthias Nonius: Mah-TYE-us, with a hard T. NOH-knee-us. "As in, no knees for us." Absolutely a Redwall reference.

Cytherea: KITH-er-AY-a, a reference to Aphrodite.

Lyctor: LICK-tor. "In order to facilitate "Lyctor? I hardly touched her," stand up routines in the Nine Houses. Lyctor related to "lych" and to Lictor, Roman emperors' bodyguards.

Canaan House: KAY-nan.

Secundarius Bell: Se-cun-DAR-ee-us.

Drearburh: DREAR-burr. Drear like dreary, burh as a variant of burgh.(18)

(1) From the Greek root "arithmos" (number) and "nym" (name). (2) My guess is, it was a way to force them to be perceived closer, to more effectively hide Corona's lack of aptitude for necromancy. (3) If they generally assign childbearing pairs in-house because of a shallow gene pool, it makes sense they'd formally instate such a rule to bring in as much depth as possible. (4) It would've been easy to say "names missing are probably pronounced the way you think they are" but I love "the Bible or elsewhere". (5) Any thoughts on what this means for Harrow's arc? (6) I think bonermancy is something quite different but I am deeply amused nevertheless. (7) In case anyone's curious, I count: --Cross as in angry, which Crux often is --Cross as in a dishonest contest or match, which is more what Harrow did than Crux, but I think bears mentioning --Cross as in to confront someone antagonistically, like he did to Gideon early on --Cross as in to betray, as in placing the bomb on the shuttle (8) This has been the subject of a great number of pieces of incredible art. Search "Judith and Holofernes" for more. I assume you don't need a gore warning if you've made it this far in the read. (9) Deuterocanonical - belonging to the second canon, or in plainer words, a group of Biblical books which some of the Christian denominations (mainly Catholic and Orthodox types) accept to be part of the Old Testament, but the Protestant denominations call apocrypha (to oversimplify: not real enough). (10) Didactic - intended to teach or educate, particularly with regard to morals. (11) You've got Jeanne as the feminine French form of "John", Mary is both the virgin mother and Mary Magdalene, one of Jesus's disciples and the first witness to his resurrection, occasionally said to have been Jesus's lover. Sometimes called a prostitute, but this seems to stem from a very odd interpretation by Pope Gregory I in 591 CE. (12) You might know her as Joan of Arc. (13) I still say "calamities" is pretty close, but a "deez nuts" joke wouldn't have gone astray here imo. (14) I think you mean BEST joke in the book, but that's opinion for you. (15) Yes it cuts off there, that's the joke. (16) An Irish missionary who spread Christianity in Scotland. (17) Pronounced very differently, but legit. (18) "burh" being much more likely to be pronounced corectly by Americans, is my guess, in addition to Muir enjoying using antiquated variants and synonyms.
