Happy Birthday and Merry Christmas @solcaeruleus 🎉✨! I was chosen as your Secret Santa! U wished for an art based on your works, so I chose to illustrate one of my favorite scenes in your fic "Memories Most Painful" Perhaps it was not very festive of me to choose ur most gut-wrenching soul crashing angst fic (especially at the time when it was mostly all hurt and no comfort), but this quiet moment between them kept me in a chokehold for days on end, I couldn't think of anything else!^^ I hope you like it!

Oh boy oh boy - it's baaaaaaack!! Entrapdak Secret Santa has returned for 2023!

Firstly thank you everyone for taking part in last year's event and most importantly thank you all for your feedback, it's been very helpful in tweaking the event to suit our fandom needs.

MERRY SECRET SANTA AND HAPPY NEW YEAR

It’s 10:57 by me so I’m TEHCNICALLY in the time 😅😅😅 have a fic, sorry if it’s really rough, I had a crosscountry move this month

Hordak could see the gears working behind those violet eyes as Entrapta placed the tiny soups tray in front of Hordak’s “pillow throne,” which he was never going to call the assortment of plushies, blankets, and other assorted Etherian sleeping apparatus she’d thrown together for him. Well, at least not out loud. His long fingers reached out from under this morass to the tray. As miserable as he felt, Hordak cracked a smile. “And what has a hold of your thoughts now, Princess?” Of course, he regretted this at once, his voice being as hoarse as it was, and he started coughing roughly.

Entrapta puffed up her cheeks impressively. “No talking. Eating.” She dunked the spoon in one of the adorable little bowls and held it up to his face (Hordak REFUSED to let her feed him). He drank and coughed again lightly. Trying not to strain his voice, he whispered “I thought this was supposed to help.”

“It will! You need more than one sip. Here,” and she held up another spoonful.

Hordak smiled. “You’re such an aid to me. I know I’m not worth any of it, not even being able to take care of myself–”

  That earned him a light rap on the hand with her hair. “None of that, Hordak. You’re sick! Your job right now is to let your body rest and get better.”

Hordak sighed wistfully. “I was under the impression my job was to conquer Etheria.”

That was when you could see the lightbulb go off in her precious head. “Aha! I’ll just help you with that too!”

Hordak’s head tilted quizzically, in what Entrapta would swear was the most adorable manner she’d ever seen. “Help me… with what?”

“I’ll be Horde Lord for a day! Just while you’re doing so poorly.”

Hordak’s head tilted further. He frowned.

Catra’s head tilted down to try to hide her wild grin, as she leaned against a pile of crates in the corner of Hordak’s sanctum. Force Captain Octavia currently had herself trapped in a tight bear hug within the hair of their “Horde Lord for the Day,” as the cheap banner hanging above throne read.

“Oh-h-h, Octavia! That sounds so scary! I’m so proud of you for getting through that in one piece.” Entrapta had concern dripping in her voice.

Catra lifted her head. “I told Hordak that plan was gonna go south fast.” Octavia’s good eye shot Catra a look of more hatred than back when Catra was a kid. Catra just grinned all the harder. The older Force Captain gritted her teeth and managed to speak up, “I… thank you for your concern, Princes, could you please—”

“Nope! I’m Lord for a day.” Entrapta turned Octavia over like a patty on the grill in her hair to face her. “And we Lords are very particular about these kinds of titles, right?” Entrapta giggled, with just the most warm and genuine smile. Even Octavia couldn’t stay angry at that, and she looked down embarrassedly. “Thank you, my Lord, could you please set me down.”

“Oh. OK!” and Entrapta thankfully released Octavia from her grasp. “I was just proud! We’re going to keep all of you safe from the other princesses from now on.”

Octavia looked back up; eyebrow cocked. “And how are you going to do that?”

“Easy,” Entrapta said simply. “We give them something bigger to fight!”

And it was at that moment that the room started shaking. Catra looked up with actual concern on her face, but Entrapta was too busy shaking with excitement.

“Hahaha! He’s ready! Catra, Octavia – meet Big Jim!!”

In the darkness behind Hordak’s throne, a variety of First Ones runes lit up, rising to the ceiling, lighting up…

The super robot Big Jim stood outside Bright Moon castle as Queen Angela, Glimmer, and Adora sat at a hastily placed table in the front pond. All three looked exasperated beyond belief. On the other side of the table from them, sat Catra and Entrapta, the latter filled with pride.

“A-a-ah, Hordak’s gonna be so excited to hear I got the princesses to hold peace talks! And on my first day, too.”

Angela just blinked. Glimmer held her face in her hands and just yelled, “Well, do the Horde want peace or not?!?”

Entrapta glanced at Catra, questioningly. “I mean… I don’t think Hordak would want me to surrender. That doesn’t sound like a very Horde Lord thing to do, does it?”

Catra flashed a grin back at her. “No, no it doesn’t.”

“Catra!” Adora shouted. Catra stuck out her tongue at the blonde. Entrapta was still thinking aloud. “It would make more sense for the Horde Lord to crush her enemies beneath her feet—”

The princesses tensed up at that.

“… But obviously you’re all here to avoid that. So, that’s why you should surrender!”

“We’re not going to surrender!” Glimmer yelled, banging her fist on the table.

“Well then Big Jim would have to crush Bright Moon. You’d want to move civilians out of the way first—”

“No! You can’t do that—”

“Look, I don’t think I’ve left you with much choice. Unless you could think of some in-between-y way.”

Entrapta glanced up at the princesses with a sideways, hopeful expression. Queen Angela took one look at that precious face and sighed.

Hordak’s muscles ached, and he still felt slow and heavy, but by Prime he’d spent enough time in bed, and having Entrapta running things had him on edge. Not that it was due to any fault of hers – the woman had no faults that he could see – but anyone else on that throne would have had him worried. So, he managed to drag himself out of the mountain of blankets by late evening and work his way into the main throne room, where he found Force Captains Catra and Scorpia huddled with Entrapta around a mound of papers and maps beneath the throne.

Hordak smiled. “Working on battle plans, Force Captains?”

Entrapta looked back up at him with a wide smile. “No, we’re working over what we’re gonna do with the Princess’ territory they just ceded to us!”

Hordak blinked.

Not only do I get Hordak being babied by Entrapta, but I also get Super Pal Trio AND Octavia??? You were too good to me this year, Santa Pop!

All topped off by Entrapta kicking princess ass (or at least threatening to) in a giant robot! This was highly delightful and had me giggling like a huge dweeb. I think Lord Entrapta should be permanently promoted to her temporary position. With Hordak busy eating tiny soups and SPT + Octavia teaming up, it’s clear they’ll never risk losing another battle ever again!

Thank you so much for this wonderful treat, I love it!!!

Entrapdak Secret Santa ‘23 - Polite Reminders Going out Soon!

Hi again everyone!

As we are coming to the end of the gifting period (ends on Friday the 26th January as stated here ), I will soon be sending a little message just to check in with all Secret Santas.

The purpose of this check in is to just politely remind any Santa who has not yet sent a gift of the upcoming deadline. I’m assuming most Santas have already sent their gifts, so please pardon me crashing in your inbox 😅. I‘m treating everyone like an adult here and taking you all on your word, there is no need to prove proof (especially the NSFW gifts… I’d rather not see any surprise Horballs 🫣)

I understand how hectic the holiday season can be for some folks and it can be so easy for things to get misplaced in all the merriment which is why I allow this extra time for gifting.

Just like last year, once the event is over I’ll post a Google feedback form which is 100% anonymous, so if you would like to help make 2024’s Entrapdak Secret Santa better please watch out for that ❤️
