Many other areas are snowed out for the time being. We are looking forward to serving some of that delish Black Sheep Coffee on Saturday from 8-10am at the Pit.  Other fun events at the Pit Campground this weekend include:  -Night Sky Program Saturday from 6-6:45pm (see post from @esiaonline) -Plein Air art meetup Sunday from 11am-3pm (see our post from 1/15 for details). Current Conditions: ❄️Buttermilk Country❄️: The main area is still covered in 2.5-3 feet of snow. Expect the Milks to be snowed out for at least a few weeks (maybe longer). 🌞Owens River Gorge❄️: The best access to the ORG right now is the approach from Lower ORG parking. This approach is plowed to the power plant but still has patches of snow and ice in spots. The Central approach is under 4-6" of snow. The top of the Upper ORG is under 9-10" of snow, with a bunch of snow in the approach gulley.  ❄️Pine Creek❄️: Most areas are under at least 4 feet of snow. ⚠️The road is currently closed at Rovana. 🌞Tablelands💧: A lot of sunny routes are dry now, but expect small amounts of snow, water, and ice in fully shaded areas. The ice caves area in the Sads is still flooded past Shizaam. day 6 of my 5000 followers event, ‘a term under a neogender umbrella’! i suppose this doesn't quite fit the prompt, since it's an umbrella itself rather than a term under one, but i'll post some terms under this umbrella later today anyways!

the term is 'aur' from 'aurora', 'ethe' from 'ethereal', + 'sia' from latin 'phantasia', meaning 'fantasy'! it's (roughly) pronounced 'or-eh-thee-shuh', with emphasis on the third syllable.

the colors are taken from various auroracore images, the little 'swoops' at the sides are meant to look like magic spells or flowing fabric, and the symbol is meant to look like a magic wand or staff. the wing is edited from part of pigeon (2) from this folder. i made the symbol a darker color in the image by itself so it wouldn't blend into the default theme.

would like to point out the different tags between some retired helpers (me being the one with the tag reserved for members of the team who stayed ~3 months, i think). i’ve been on the team longer than esias. by two inductions. which is not 3 months.

sure love to see some degree of favoritism even after i retired (at the start of this year, with esias after me). sorry i caused problems last year that shouldn’t even be issues anymore!!

(also.. please do not go after esias over this at all, daze is a good friend of mine. i also have not brought this up with any leaders as i’m not sure how well that’d go, for hopefully.. obvious reasons?)

"Oh, I got engaged, too!" Rowan smiled.

"Really, you couldn't have let me have this one thing on you?" Ellant shook his head.

"Well, I think she's pretty happy her son is alive. And that he's married too! She'll have a hard time choosing a favorite son-in-law."

"What's the fellow's name, then?" Esais asked, taking Ellant's hand.

"Urianger Arugelt," she said as plainly as she could.

Esias' brow furrowed in concentration but Ellant started to seethe and hiss.

"Uri - Urianger. The prophet. The self-same prophet that predicted the calamity. This is your fiance? Did you really need to upstage me that much?"

"It's not like I sought him out because he was famous! I almost completely botched my first conversation with him!" Rowan started to laugh at the memory.

"Oh, then you must have used the entirety of your feminine whiles to convince him to court you," Ellant said.

Rowan stuck out her tongue to her brother and started to tell the story of her journeys with the Scions.

It took all of Ellant's restraint to not rush to the boat as it pulled up to the dock. His family was being reunited in a physical sense. Well, most of it. But Papa was with them in spirit. He always would be. He squeezed Esais' hand, ready to show new to old and old to new.

Rowan was bouncing, same as she would've when Papa would come home from a long trip. Apparently her fiance - the godsdamned prophet - had been on a on-again-off-again sort of world tour with a friend as she took her own adventures. It seemed that absence only made her heart grow fonder.

Then Ellant saw her. Mama seemed a little wan as she was helped off the boat by an elegant sort of fellow in a scarf and abundance of jewelry. But her eyes lit up as she saw Ellant.

"My boy..." she said as Ellant swept her up into a hug.

He was only aware of his mother in the moment. It was her! Mama, here, in the flesh! She smelled the same as she always had, the kind of powdery floral scent of her favorite perfume.

"You've gotten so strong, El!" Mama laughed. "I remember when you first had your growth spurt and still had some troubles picking me up."

Esais might have muttered something, but Ellant couldn't make it out as he tried to gather every detail of his mother's face again. She looked the same as when he left her before Charteneau. He wanted her to look exactly the same, but it looked as though time had taken its toll on her with spidery crows feet at her eyes. 

"You've let your hair grow long..." Mama ran her fingers through some of his hair. "And you got that tattoo you always wanted!"

Ellant nodded, holding her hands to his face. She was here, she was real! Now he had more than scant memories, unlocked from conversations with his sister.

The full force of the fact started to wane in power, and he was beginning to become aware of the others around him. Esais close by, and Rowan with the bejeweled man. So this must be him...

"So who's gonna start the introductions?" Esais asked.

"Well, Esias, this is my mother, Alfinne Argentas." Ellant took his hand. "Mama, this is my husband, Esais Arumas. He took me in when I washed up on the shore after Charteneau."

"Tis a pleasure to meet you, Esais. Thank you for saving my boy," Mama said.

"The pleasure is all mine, Mistress Argentas. I don't think I could have found a more capable or loving partner than your son." Esais took Mama's hand and gave a reverent kiss.

"Oh, darling, there's no need to be formal. If 'Mama' is too much, just call me Alfinne," she said, turning to Rowan. "I already have one overly formal son-in-law."

Rowan snorted and the bejeweled man beside her looked away sheepishly.

"I suppose I'm next to add introductions... Ellant, Esais, this is Urianger Arugelt, my fiance. Urianger, this is my brother Ellant, and my brother-in-law, Esias."

Urianger bowed. "Tis a welcome sight to see my beloved's family whole and hale."

Ellant could feel the smile creep up on his face as Urianger spoke. "I called it. You did like his voice."

Rowan stuck out her tongue. "You did too!"

"Aye, but I'm not marrying him, am I?"

has a bracelet that seems to hold some sentimental value to them and one silver cross earring that dangles. also has a large tattoo that spans their entire back of a chinese dragon curled around a mañjusaka (red spider lily).

Pernah gasi kaya ketakutan gitu, kaya ketakutan ditinggal pacar, dulu aku pacaran masih bisa dihitung pakai jari gitu pacarku yang pertama itu sejak smp, aneh banget ketemunya dulu aku ketemuan gitu eh malah yang aku suka temennya, pacaran pas kelas 3 smp itu baru pertama kali pacaran, seneng banget dulu tiap hari bener” tiap hari dianter jemput sama pacar terus gaklama aku di putusin mana inget banget dulu kalo pacaran emang selalu banyak effortnya kaya pulsanya abis bener” aku jalan ke depan cuma mau beli pulsa doang , inget banget pas lagi megang handphone esia yang kalo sms per/1 karakter satu perak, gak lama aku ganti hp sony yang slide dari jaman sekolah sampai sekarang tuh aku emang anaknya suka banget nabung bener” hp tuh dari hasil uang jajanku sendiri sampai aku beli hp pun sendiri tapi aku beli second si, terus kalo setiap mau beli hp sukanya liat tabloid pulsa itu kaya bener” seru banget bisa liat spek hp, pas pacaran aku sampai 6 bulan dia putusin aku setelah dia beli motor fu, tau nya ngincer cewek lain sialan😂 Semenjak itu aku jadi cimot, suka motor bukan motor bebek gitu Yang ke dua aku pacaran karena terpaksa soalnya kaya masi sedih gitu pacarku punya cewek baru disitu aku pacaran kayanya ga sampai seminggu terus kita putus definisi pacaran oh yaudah putus oh yaudah🤣 Nah pas masuk smk aku ngikutin mantan aku sekolah dimana terus aku kaya salting gitu kalo ketemu dia, emang beneran cinta kali ya jadi masuk sekolah yang sama, disitu dia kaya malu gitu sama sama malu lah intinya, pacaran ketiga aku sama anak intiv dikenalin sama orang, terus putus ga jelas putusnya kenapa terus yang ke empat dikenalin lagi untuk pertama kalinya aku yang mutusin garagara dia ngebanding bandingin aku sama mantannya, dia juga gatau putusnya garagara apa aku mutusin lewat hp, yang ke lima gila banget si gara gara nongkrong sama bocah intiv terus aku naksir garagara dia ganteng, eh bangsat gataunya aku di duain terus aku minta tolong ketikin tugas ga di ketik ketikin tega banget tuh manusia, sampe temen aku marah dah ngabrut banget tuh cowok waktu itu pas lagi jaman pkl, yang ke enam aku pacaran sama temen nya temen ku aku di kenalin, semenjak saat itu dia rajin banget kerumah, rajin banget ngajak aku jalan, jajanin juga , kasih uang juga, tiap hari jalan ketemu mamanya terus, pas kenal” nya di kenalin ke ortunya dia bokapnya baru aja meninggal, aku sama dia cuma 2 bulan tapi berasa lama banget karena emang setiap hari bener” ketemu terus putusnya gara gara aku cemburu sama temennya, Selanjutnya aku memutuskan untuk tidak pacaran, lagi sakit hati nya banget sama orang yang di sayang dia ga pernah ngeluh kalo aku minta sesuatu, ga pernah ngomong kasar juga jadi aku kehilangan banget abis ga pacaran lama aku pacaran lagi sama yang bermobil rumahnya deket rumah, naksir garagara dia ganteng tinggi gede lah badannya anak gundar eh ga lama di ghosting 😔 terus aku kerja ketemu sama yang terakhir pacaran 4 tahun kali ada masa aku jadi yang kedua, kocaknya dulu ga pernah takut si karena emangnya suka maunya sama dia atuh gimana lagi pas mereka udah putus aku udah gamau lagi hahaha kaya ngebatin parah, bohong terus”an ga pernah bicara jujur, semua masalah aku yang pendem sendiri sampai pernah nangis di bis jemputan setiap malem, ga suka pacar aku bohongin aku bilang engga padahal iya, pacarnya ketakutan malah ditinggalin, pacarnya nangis ga pernah di rangkul pacarku ga pernah aku urusin, kalo minum ga pernah di ambilin suruh ambil sendiri ke belakang ya untuk pertama kalinya juga aku ga mau di tembak dan milih berkomitmen, tapi engga aku ga bisa sedih terus kaya gitu jadi aku bener” nempatin aku sengaja bikin sakit hati sengaja di tumpuk biar aku cepet moveon.
