I don't know how many of you have seen the weather forecast, and this is probably setting me up for a whole heap of 'I told you so-s', but I, for one, am looking forward to a bit of decent warmth before the inevitable cold spell that comes with living this far north settles in.

I don't believe in hell, but if I did, my apartment with it's busted AC and windows that barely open would, in fact, be it. If you need me, I will be mostly naked, trying anything humanly possible to cool off. If I wanted heat like this I'd have stayed in Texas.

Heat Wave in Uttar Pradesh
A heat wave and the power cuts it is causing are overwhelming northern India’s hospitals with heat-related illnesses and deaths.
