hiiiii ask for you infodump about rwby volume 10 and what you want to happen

HI THERE FRIEND!!!! thank you for the ask <3

i want u to know that i specifically went to my spotify to put on my "amitola" playlist before going to answer this ask, so that should tell you where my head is at

of course for rwby v10 i want what the majority of other people want, for the bees to be shown in their relationship and for others to react to it in ways that really allow us as the audience to BASK in the fact that the bees are in an established relationship and are HAPPY. cause like, just thinking abt catradora and korrasami, well we get to see them get to that kiss and get their happy ever after, but in the show that's where it ENDS (i know with LoK they had the comics that let korrasami go past that point but i digress) like of course i could say all that and i WOULD say all of that

but

YOU CAME INTO *MY* ASK BOX. so you know exactly what im gonna infodump about. you know WHO im gonna infodump about

ilia. fucking. amitola.

we saw her last in all her collarbone-apparently-redacted glory in v8 along with a couple of other tertiary characters during ruby's speech montage. she had a fairly long focus shot (imo, for a side character) that showed her getting a call from ghira. so we KNOW that those three are going to be together-- and by the logic of ghira and kali being blake's fucking parents!! we can assume that they're going to all end up heeding the call and gathering where everyone else is. so that means that we can also assume that they'll all be there for the reunion in vacuo.

(no seriously where did they go???? i havent been able to unsee it)

ANYWAY.

so i want to see that reunion. i want to see blake fling herself into her parents arms and for ilia to kinda hang back bc she's like, still doesn't quite know what to do with herself-- and doesn't QUITE know how to relate to blake anymore. they left on good terms, but they haven't had much time to really rebuild their relationship by any means, so ilia's just standing there, heart tearing in half a little because there she is. she didn't die. ilia had mourned for her, had gone through that grief alongside blake's parents and now? now there. she's standing right there. and suddenly it's just so overwhelming that she starts turning a deep blue, right from her roots, her irises turning a deep icicle blue, sharp and unforgiving like the presumed loss she had to go through all that time ago.

and blake? she sees it. out of the corner of her eye, above the shoulder of her mom while in their embrace, she sees ilia shaking like a leaf. and she goes to her after another quick murmured reassurance to her parents. and she just opens her arms to ilia. and ilia flings herself into blake's arms and breathes her in because gods. she is real. she starts whispering "you're here. you're alive. i lost you all over again and now you're here."

and that's what i hope from canon, but am i going to stop there? no because hello. ilia fucking amitola.

the CATMELEON SHIPPER IN ME wants blake to reply with something cheesy, with something utterly heartbreakingly beautiful, something like "you could never lose me. i've always been in your heart, and you've always been in mine. and that's not going anywhere."

THEY HAVE A SPECIAL BOND OKAY CANON WILL NOT TAKE THAT FROM ME FOR FUCKS SAKE.

what i want CANON to do is to have ilia and yang finally fucking meet and talk. for ilia to give the "hurt her, no one will hear from you ever again" talk.

like OH MY GOD give me THIS. holy shit this is genius. maybe yang spots ilia looking restless and tense after an overwhelmingly emotional day after blake "comes back from the dead" and sees her sitting at the outskirts of the city/their camp or wherever. and so she just like. says hey. you know the best way i find to burn off extra energy? and ilia agrees to a hand-to-hand no weapons (and yang promises not to use her arm gun at all) and it feels GOOD to get the energy out. so they could have a good conversation that way and establish like, that ilia sees how good yang is for blake and how happy she is and ends with the whole, catch her off guard kinda blow and tells yang that if she hurts blake again, she'll obliterate her from the face of remnant.

what RAY WANTS BC OF THE EMBER RAINBOW SHIPPER is for ilia to get the upper hand and successfully pin her down and we have a delicious moment of sexual tension where ilia's got yang's hands above her head and her weight on her hips and she just catches the way yang's eyes sparkle in the dying sunlight of the golden hour and she just can't help herself, can't stop herself from saying "so that's why." and for yang to be just as pleasantly thrown off guard - "what's why?" and at this point ilia's freckles are flaring pink, her irises following suit and - "that's why blake fell in love with you"

like ON GOD GIMMIE. YOU CAN'T TELL ME THAT ILIA WOULDN'T SEE YANG AND EITHER 1) IMMEDIATELY GET JEALOUS OR 2) IMMEDIATELY AND UTTERLY FALL IN LOVE WITH HER TOO (or both? both is good)

shipping aside, i need ilia to STOP BEING FORGOTTEN ABOUT GODDAMNIT. this is just a general complaint of the fandom in general from my pov. like i dont REALLY see posts cross my dash, the ones that talk about rwby in general or rwby v10 specifically, it's like. ARE WE NOT GOING TO TALK ABOUT ILIA FOR A SECOND??? like y'all wanna see everyone react to the bees being in a relationship and YOU FUCKING FORGET ILIA?!?!?! THE LITERAL FIRST ON SCREEN CANONICALLY CONFIRMED LESBIAN??? AND NOT ONLY THE FIRST ON SCREEN CANONICALLY CONFIRMED LESBIAN, BUT HER LESBIANISM WAS CANONIZED BY HAVING HER LITERALLY CONFESS TO BLAKE'S FUCKING FACE THAT SHE WAS IN LOVE WITH HER!!!!! anyway. i had to get that out of my system apparently LMAO

so where else do i want to go with this??? i mean there's so much i could say, how i want rainbow bees to actually happen bc im greedy but i love the story they told with the bees already so i don't see that happening in all seriousness (and shoehorning ilia into the bees relationship feels like a disservice to the growth the bees went through together so i GET that but i just think it would be NEAT. blake has two hands, yadda yadda and all that)

i could talk about how i want canon to reveal that ilia was actually blake's first kiss because that would be so much better than the implied fact that adam canonically was, and that just makes my skin crawl, so to have it be ilia would be DELIGHTFUL to say the least.

i could talk about how i want ilia and weiss to be an endgame couple, if nothing else for the fact that a) it would be great for weiss' growth arc, ending up with a faunus -- but not only JUST any faunus, to have one that was SO detrimentally impacted by her father's dust empire, and to heal that hurt together and have those journeys weave together in the end. and b) i just want to be greedy again and tie ilia to a main character bc it will mean we will get to see her more than just for a few minutes every so often.

i COULD also talk about how there's a great idea to have emerald and ilia end up together because, similar villian redemption arcs, opposing colour scheme, similar unrequited love type situations. it's just RIFE for a great set up and that would be great.

i COULD talk about so many things related to ilia fucking amitola and rwby v10 but i think i've definitely said quite a lot of things already, so i'll just cut it off here skghsdfkghdfg thank u for ur time and attention if u have made it this far and have enjoyed or even just slightly made sense of my ramblings

hey buddy, thanks for the ask!! instead of just wuko, i added korrasami as well bc you need at least four people to play among us! and let’s face it, asami would kick everyone’s ass in this game.

this got kind of long, so i listed it under the cut !!

wu:

- mains in green

- when he’s a crewmate, he gets WAY too much satisfaction completing tasks

- lingers either in electrical or medbay once tasks are done, because of that people think he’s the impostor but no lol

- sometimes calls emergency meetings just for the heck of it

- everyone votes him off because of that

- if he’s the impostor, he’s strangely silent

- he only gets impostor like 1 out of 20 times but everyone still knows it’s him

- either he doesn’t kill at all or he kills one (1) person (usually bolin) and then hides in the vents IMMEDIATELY afterwards

- or he fucking wins the game and there’s no inbetween

mako:

- mains in black. wanted to main in red but the red color is a bit too garish

- everyone always thinks he’s the impostor

- he’s super slow at typing esp when he calls/reports so he always gets voted off for that

- sore loser

- he gets his tasks done way too fast then trails someone who he thinks is the impostor

- he thinks he has it and then calls an emergency meeting - but just says that they saw them vent

- he’s not really good at it

- when he’s impostor, he accidentally self reports way more than he should

- does not try to help or support the other impostors in the game

- doesn’t draw first blood

- usually uses the vents a lot

- one time he vented straight off the bat in front of everyone

- korra IMMEDIATELY called him out on his shit

- game was over in 10 seconds

- will never kill wu. if wu is dead, chances are he isn’t the impostor.

asami:

- mains in red. wanted to main in black but mako always gets there first

- ruthless killer if she’s impostor

- she has a great poker face

- never self reports

- usually kills then vents, and then sticks with someone else to establish an alibi.

- it’s usually bolin

- korra is probably first kill

- she loves her but korra keeps trailing behind her and doesn’t know she’s impostor

- if she’s crewmate, she probably gets all tasks done pretty quickly

- spends the rest of the time on cams

- she’s the first person to arrive at emergencies

korra:

- mains in blue. if taken, then cyan.

- probably has the most fun being impostor.

- everyone knows she’s impostor

- she gets impostor 5 times in a row smh

Sexuality Headcanon: ok so theres two schools of thought about this to me.

the first is that hes straight (and cis) and proud of both these things and will readily tell you he is cishet, but he still refers to himself and his gf as a queer couple bc shes a crocodile so he says like Unconventional Relationships like your girlfriend turning into a crocodile are inherently queer but galo and lio are heteronormative because galo is kinda masc and lio is kinda fem (the korrasami handmaiden person or whatever but with actual ppl he knows irl bc i have met ppl like that and they r a trip). this isnt the option i typically go with tho just bc its a pain to keep up its only funny for like 1 joke. also i just do not care. no representation for those people

the second is hes straight and after he says something remotely nice to another man hes the kinda guy who says ‘no homo’ and means it unironically. this is the one that feels more in line w canon to me. he thinks gays stole the rainbow. he tells galo this once like he thinks galo can speak to the gay council and has the power to make sure rainbows are no longer associated with gay people. galo is like wow ok sure remi ill let them know and then he calls lio and they lose their shit about it

Gender Headcanon: remis gf turns back into a human post-promare and they have a gender reveal party when she is pregnant with their baby and the cake explodes and catches the city on fire. remi loses his job. hes cis is what im getting at

A BROTP I have with said character: um idk. brotp is a punch to the face delivered by galo because i think it would be healing for me and also galo. galo most likely wouldnt but like imagine post-canon promare remi is an asshole and galo just decks him

A NOTP I have with said character: varys and not bc i dont want varys to b gay bc varys certainly can and should be gay. it is entirely bc remi just RADIATES cishet vibes and varys deserves better and to be totally honest? i think remi was meant to radiate the vibes. cishet allistic coding at its finest. the token one of the group. besides the foundation chars but they dont rly count since theyre villains and remi is just an asshole

General Opinion over said character: i seriously hate this guy like u know characters u just see and u just automatically dont like them for no reason. thats me with remi, though at this point i definitely have reason to not like him. first time i watched promare in theaters i felt annoyed any time he spoke. i do not like his design i think its boring i looked at him and i was like this is bait for cishet nerdboy assholes who think theyre oppressed bc they like star wars and fandom moms who write essays abt why they hate gay characters who will self ship with him. and then fan content proved that to be true. he is allistic and i hate that hes an ass to galo and instead of picking up on him being like legitimately ableist in the ova ppl r just like haha yeah get him remi like bro you are NOT supposed to be rooting for remi here. remi is An Obstacle. so like how fans reacted to him definitely made my feelings on him spiral even further down the shitter. and i hate that hes in merch w galo like why not lucia and aina he had more interactions w them! varys and ignis even! but why remi!

just in general i dont like him, hes not the type of character i like hes the type of character im automatically annoyed by and at this point i am vicious to the dude. he also has the bonus of being the kinda character you hate but hes not The Villain so u can like, make fun of him easier than like. kray foresight bc even mentioning kray foresight gets everyone like euuugh. but with remi hes just fun to make fun of bc hes so sucks. altho yes i do have legitimate reason to dislike him. studio trigger self insert. god i talked so much my hatred for remi runs deep

Korrasami from Legendof Korra: Okay, so I’ve never actually watched this show because I think Ilost interest by the time I heard it was coming out? It was a long time ago. Idon’t really remember much more than the fact that I kept seeing ads for itEVERYWHERE. Anyway, fastforward to the present: I’ve seen some posts talkingabout this ship and stuff from the show, and I watched that clip from thefinale that everyone was squeeing over (because I was curious and wanted to seefor myself if it was true). If I was ever really into that show, I couldprobably ship it. *nods* But I don’t really know that much about thecharacters, so I’m just trusting the fan speculations and analyses I’ve read.XD

Julerose and Kimaxfrom Miraculous Ladybug: I have been meaning to watch this show, but ISTILL HAVEN’T DONE IT! >.

When I looked up Julerose, I got a lot of really cute fanartand some ship war nonsense. Ignoring the ship war nonsense, the fanart alonewould make the ship worth it! And then there were some snippets from that onewebisode? Oh my goodness, adorable! >w

Oh. Oh god. Looking up Kimax hurt me. There were so manyAU’s and headcanon posts. Holy shit, my heart. I AM CRYING I’M SUCH A SUCKERFOR THIS SHIT MAN YOU DON’T UNDERSTAND. IT IS SO PURE. IT GOT ME RIGHT IN THEHEARTSTRINGS.

NaruHina from Naruto:Ahaaa, I actually have no idea who most of the characters in this series are,but I do know of this ship and I just had flashbacks to when the manga(?) endedand the ugliest ship war broke out over how Naruto ended up with the“wrong” person at the end (not that I remember who that person was).I just. I don’t know what that was all about, but I kinda nervously shuffledaway from it because I had a feeling I didn’t want to know. But it was all overdeviantart and I couldn’t escape it.

…I should not have looked this one up. So, he did end upwith Hinata in the end? Aaaaah, well, what I’ve seen of the positive posts, it lookslike the reasons people ship it are really sweet. I don’t think I’ll try to digmuch deeper to figure out what’s really going on in this ship because I’d haveto sift through PAGES UPON PAGES of an ongoing ship war and I do tend to shyaway from ships that have intense negativity surrounding them. So, maybe underdifferent circumstances I could ship NaruHina? I mean, the basic premise soundslike something I might like. But as of the moment, I really don’t know what theheck is going on with it, since I can’t really find any good sources to explainit.

Kobato x Fujimotofrom Kobato: Since I’d never heard of this series before, I had to look upthe summary for it and they seem like a really cute ship. ;;w;; Kobato soundsprecious and the story is a very curious one. What I was able to gather fromtheir character development, I could probably ship it or at the very leastappreciate it as a ship. nvn

Taki x Mitsuha fromKimi No Na Wa: I haven’t watched this yet! But now that I kinda understandthe basic premise, I can at the very least say this ship is interesting. I hadto look up the plot summary for this one and I do find the idea fate being whatdraws them together very intriguing~ My poor heart was not prepared for how deepthe story went, though. ;;v;; This is probably a yes, but I’ll have to watch itfirst before I let my heart cry over it. XD

Sanvers, Supercorpand Karolsen from Supergirl: I meant to watch this when it came out, but Iwas too busy with school and then I kinda forgot about it for a while, oops.;;v;;

All I found for Sanvers was more salt in the tags than Icould sort out what to do with, but there was some cute stuff in there as well.Like everyone wanting them to get a dog? And I am all for that! Otherwise, Idon’t even know who these two are. All I can figure out is one of them is adetective? Guns are involved? There was something to do with a flash grenade?They’re both badass? Badass girlfriends with guns and grenades?! SURE! I CANWORK WITH THAT!

Aaaand there’s more salt in the Supercorp tag, justwonderful. u-u But… I think this is Supergirl and… Lex Luthor’s sister? Isthat what this ship is? That’s pretty interesting. I got tired of trying tosift through the ship war nonsense, though, so I couldn’t really figure outmuch of what the chemistry between these characters are aside from how Lenaapparently is supposed to be the “villain”, but she’s doing a poorjob of it for how much she has helped Kara/Supergirl? Cool concept. If I everget around to watching this show, I’ll have to keep it in mind.

Dear lord, even in the Karolsen tag there’s ship warnonsense! The only thing I got out of this before I rage quit is that this shipis Supergirl and Jimmy Olsen, right? I have to say I’d never thought about ituntil now, but oh my goodness that sounds really cute. >w

Shiroshipping fromPokemon BW: It’s been years since I’ve actually watched any Pokemon animeand I’ve never played any of the games myself. I’ve seen you reblog posts aboutthis ship and I was curious about it because that ship name confused me. Thetag didn’t really clear any of that up for me either. XD
