Mia has been out of inpatient treatment all of five minutes and is already pulling the baddest bitches (Alison and Carli).
Further prove that bisexuals love nothing more than twitchy, androgynous rocker vibes, as Alison put it.

Mia is such a well written character; I've never been frustrated with a main character and wish only the best for them at the same time this intensely.
And I LOVE the other characters so much too, there's never a moment where I gotta skip scenes due to a character I can't connect to.
Like as I was watching, I wanted it to not end, sooo bad. 😭
Now THIS is the best young adult Netflix series I've ever watched, honestly. This has a special place in my heart and I was surprised because the first few episodes were really boring. But holy shit. I hope it never gets cancelled!!!!!
Oh and Becca x Cam ate lmaooo 🤭

Everything now. Season 1 Episode 2. People think anorexia is all about wanting to be beautiful. Wanting to be thin. And believing they're the same thing. But it wouldn't matter how thin i got when i still feel this wrong. Like there's something missing in me. Something that reaches far deeper than delicate hands and elegance and estrogen. You are incorrect Mia. Incorrectly feminine. You must have been sick that day they taught you how to be a girl. A real girl.

Reasons you should watch Everything Now:
Main WLW
The soundtrack SLAPS
Every character is interesting and complicated in their own way
Representation 🤌🤌🤌🤌 (also a lot of queer characters but no labels which I find really cool) And I think it's heavily implied that one of the guys is demi💜
It's funny AND angsty
The acting and cinematography are outstanding
⚠️ The story is about Mia who is anorexic and trying to get better, so if topics around that trigger you I would be cautious🫶🫶 stay safe!

Iris Kelly Doesn't Date
A fake relationship after a horrible one-night stand is anything but an act in this witty and heartfelt new romantic comedy by Ashley Herring Blake.
Everyone around Iris Kelly is in love. Her best friends are all coupled up, her siblings have partners that are perfect for them, and her parents are still blissfully married. And she’s happy for all of them, truly. Iris doesn’t want any of that—dating, love, romance. She’ll stick to her commitment-free hookups, thanks very much, except no one in her life will just let her be. Everyone wants to see her settled down, but she holds firmly to her no dating rule. There’s only one problem—Iris is a romance author facing an imminent deadline for her second book, and she’s completely out of ideas.
Perfectly happy to ignore her problems as per usual, Iris goes to a bar in Portland and meets a sexy stranger, Stefania, and a night of dancing and making out turns into the worst one-night stand Iris has had in her life. To get her mind off everything, Iris tries out for the lead role in a local play, a queer retelling of Much Ado About Nothing, but comes face-to-face with Stefania, whose real name turns out to be Stevie. Desperate to save face in front of her friends, Stevie asks Iris to play along as her girlfriend. Iris is shocked, but when she realizes the arrangement might provide her with some much-needed romantic content for her book, she agrees. As the two women play the part of a happy couple, lines start to blur, and they’re left wondering who will make the real first move....

everything now netflix
some spoilers!! and apologies for the long post.
i honestly really enjoyed it! it was almost like a skins/euphoria but imbued with like a heartstopper/sex education vibe in the sense that it dealt with serious teenage issues/mental health but light enough that it doesn't weigh down on you. my character thoughts:
mia was so infuriating almost at all times. obviously under the circumstances, it makes sense but there's this level of likeability that was missing for me. maybe it was the writing or the acting who knows but in my mind it's like this: im making an albeit an unfair comparison to effy from skins or even rue from euphoria, but they were battling their demons and making all the wrong choices but there was still this level of “i want to root for them” that's missing with mia personally.
in a similar vein with alison, she is meant to be this popular rich mean girl archetype who surprises you but obviously in the first half of the season she's supposed to be kind of unlikeable but i found her very endearing. as for the relationship, alison and mia DO NOT belong together. like at all. i am not rooting for them. alison in a way forced a relationship with mia and then also mia was like too scared to say anything about it. its clear that alison liked mia waaaaay more than mia liked alison. like carli says in the last ep as well, “to learn to not be a fantasy to each other”, alison needs to take mia off this pedastal she has for her. i'm very interested to learn more about her character outside of mia though if they hopefully continue the show. i have a feeling that we are supposed to think that she and cameron hooked up at the end or something but i'm rlly hoping its a red herring.
carli is also a character i would love to learn more about. she definitely has more chemistry with mia and i love her for standing her ground against mia, as she needs to help herself before she can be in a healthy relationship. but i will say it was pretty shitty stringing cameron along.
speaking of cameron, i didn't quite expect to like his character as much as i did. in a way his arc in the season is battling toxic masculinity as he kinda seems to come off as this laid back, bro kinda guy but he cares and loves so deeply. it wasn't right calling bec a "sket". i'm not british but obviously its like equivalent to slut, and im very glad he owned up to it. i'm also really interested to know more about his family and stuff.
i love bec as well. she deserves all the happiness in the world. im glad she was able to air out her things with mia, albeit in a very treacherous way and i also love how her mom was supportive of the abortion. i'm honestly kinda tired seeing the mom kicking out the daughter for getting pregnant trope so it was nice to see a mom just being supportive. bec is just such a wonderful friend and mia honestly has a lot to make up for. re not telling mia about her and cam, it was honestly frustrating seeing mia be so petty. i understand that its a big secret and she felt like everyone was hiding things from her but its also right to have secrets amongst friends, idk that really stuck out to me.
will for me had the weakest arc as in it wasn't the most interesting to me. don't get me wrong, i love the character but it just wasnt giving a whole lot to me. i recognize him as more than the comic relief but also at the same time he was stirring the pot in a lot of the arguments / blowups the group had, consciously and unconsciously. though i will say will x theo <3 but comedic duo of the century is will x alison. the little song they did for mia's birthday is stuck in my head.
tldr; great characters and great show. it's really hard to find a show about teens as a 25yo living in a 16yo body that i enjoy and don't find annoying. i just love how each character was able to be so nuanced despite being an ensemble cast.
but knowing netflix's track record it's gonna get cancelled because a) it's good b) has wlw content... but i really hope not.

right so i just finished everything now on netflix and i really wanted to share my unfiltered opinions on it and see what other ppl thought as well. here it goes!!
- i think my favorite characters were carli, becca and alex
- carly made for an impeccable love interest tbh
- icl i didn't love the main character as much as i thought i would, idk if that was the writing but sometimes i felt like they were trying too hard to make her relatable? it felt a bit forced
- also she was extremely selfish and though i understood why it still got jarring 😭
- i loved how they gave alex an episode !!! it was so moving to see things from his pov, 100% necessary
- god knows they weren't meant to be together but alison deserved way better tbh
- as for couples i was fond of becca/cam and will/theo. i also rly liked will's lil storyline at the end. as someone who's been the "funny friend" i could definitely relate
- carli and mia's chemistry was insane and if the show does get renewed i'm curious to see how things will be for them in the future. for now it's clear that carli's been portrayed/seen as more of a fantasy so it'd be nice to actually get to know more about her like really
- also i wish we'd seen more of carli and will doing theater kid stuff
- one thing i really loved abt the show was the wardrobe !!! especially becca's like i need all her clothes immediately
- i know euphoria was basically a cultural reset in media so it's inevitably rubbed off on other shows but sometimes it did seem like they were trying to replicate it a bit too much, esp the cinematography/music. it felt unoriginal
- which is a shame cause i think that distracted me at times (joined w the whole awkward/quirky mc). still, this is a very important story and i'm glad they told it
we all know netflix so i don't know if we're gonna be able to see these characters again but i look forward to seeing how the show levels up if we do. i think it has great potential. i wanna hear what u thought as well so share it below if u feel like it !!! <3

Watching everything now on netflix and mia is such a frustrating protagonist but thats not a bad thing it just means she has somewhere to go and grow beyond just her ed.
I think the show does a good job in showing where her bad behavior comes from and understanding it without acting like that excuses it. Or at least i felt i understood a lot why she was acting the way she was. I would like to see a second season where she really focuses on her self, instead of seeking 'normal' through the list or another person.
Idk if this unpopular but i don't like her with carli, and i dont think it will work as she's more of fantasy she can project on. So its not going to work, she needs to really care for herself and take responsibilty for the shit shes done and make amends. Especially with my girl alison she didnt deserve any of that.
