trust me you guys don't even know HALF of the wild shit that goes down in the my little pony idw comics. there's an early arc where they go to a mirror dimension and it turns out celestia (our celestia) hooked up with alternate universe king sombra and they're dramatic yearning exes and it's all played very seriously and unironically and also there's a second evil goth celestia with insane eyeshadow that's just running around causing problems on purpose and also in this mirror universe it's canon that derpy is an element of harmony. i am dead fucking serious about all of this

LADY ECLIPSE - DUCHESS OF DARKLAND

Age: about 26 (start of BG1); about 50 (start of BG2)

Sex: Female

Gender: Cisgender female

Sexual orientation: Straight (ally)

Element (magical power): Darkness — Able to summon dark energy balls or temporarily blind enemies. Has a very good night vision, and sensitive to light. She doesn't have a camouflage.

Offical home: Elementia —> DarkLand —> Yorutsuki —> Lord Sombra's Castle

Main home: Elementia —> Common Region —> Nekomachi —> Queen Nekora's Palace

Physical appearence: Short, fluffy female cat. She has long, tabby black fur. She has a moon symbol on her forehead and on her chest. She has big, round amber colored eyes, with dilated pupils. She usually wears white silk sleeves on all of her four paws, decorated with amethyst gems. Her necklace and belt is also from a silky material. She wears amethyst and onyx earrings. She carries around a nicely decorated dagger on her belt, which was a gift from Mind.

Relationships:

Mother: Lady Tsukira — Night element. Died after giving birth to her youngest kitten

Father: Lord Sombra — Darkness element. He was the ruler and guardian of DarkLand. Later murdered by the Three Kings when they colonised DarkLand

Older sister: Lady Luna — Darkness element. Helped their father raise her sisters, and ruled DarkLand after Sombra's death. She also helped Eclipse to hide later.

Younger sister: Lady Noche — Night element. She was much more open towards Eclipse's dreams than Luna or Sombra. Later murdered by the Three Kings when she tried to protect her father

Lover: Mind — Half-demon; Thought element. She loved him, despite their physical and mental differences. She gave up her home and title for him, just to find out about his filthy lies. Later murdered by Eclipse out of self-defense

Daughter: Soul — Quarter-demon; Thought & Darkness hybrid. When Eclipse found out about her pregnancy, she was horribly scared. But after she found peace in her homeland, Soul, became her whole world, and loved her more than anything. Later she ended her own life, leaving Eclipse devastated.

Brother-in-law / Ex-fiancé: Lord Solis — Light element. He was originally supposed to marry Eclipse, to ensure LightLand's alliance with DarkLand. After Eclipse refused to agree and once again fled to the Common Region, he had to marry Luna instead

Niece: Lady Cadence — Darkness & Light hybrid. She is the daughter of Luna and Solis, and the best friend of Soul

Personality & Beliefs:

Personality — Eclipse is friendly and open-minded. She can also be quite short-sighted and naive. She never liked life as royalty, because all she seeked was the thrill of true freedom. She is also brave, and not afraid to speak her mind. All she truly wants is to enjoy life, and this often leads her to being reckless. Unlike most cats, she was never frightened or disgusted by demons. Instead, she was fascinated by the feared and discriminated species. She has a lot of patience when it comes to tolerating someone, but there's a point that even she can't handle; This usually results in anger or sorrow. At some point, it didn't take much thinking for her to realize the mistakes she made, and that it's too late to fix most of them. After she had to come back to her homeland, she became much more quiet and introverted

Freedom — Being a duchess, Eclipse always had a more limited life. She found all her duties and formalities boring. When she visited the Common Region, she saw another way to live. The way how the knights looked so happy and free, she decided that this is what she wants. Even though she could've been a soldier in her homeland too, she insisted on going to the Common Region; To get away from her royal life, and also to get closer to Mind. Though this dream didn't last long, since Mind forced her to step back as soon as the Three Kings sat on the throne, she still decided to stay here. Being away from her homeland for so long, made her realize how small she is without her crown, and that she will never know what true freedom is without feeling the bitter taste of loneliness

Play with Fire — Her first meeting with Mind was when Eclipse and her sisters visited the Common Region. She was immediately drawn in by Queen Nekora's best soldier, and she only found out later, that it was a half-demon under that helmet. This was the time when she decided to stay in the region. At first, Mind was cold and harsh to her. But after the war, the ice has finally melted between them. Even though Mind stayed distant and dismissive, deep down he cherished her and would've sold his soul to stay with her. But he still couldn't keep blood off his paws, like he promised. When this horrible secret came to light, Eclipse's whole world was shattered. She realized just how worthless is the trust that you put in a demon like him, especially when Mind tried to attack her out of anger. Eclipse had no choice but to stab him with the dagger he gifted her, taking his life

Thrill — Eclipse was never afraid of danger. The most special thing about her relationship with Mind was that she didn't care about his demonic nature. She enjoyed teasing him and walking on thin ice. Despite his coldness, Eclipse wanted fire; She wanted to be passionate and wild, and it hurt her when Mind refused to agree. She knew every danger of being with a demon, and it didn't scare her off like it should've. She tested his limits until he eventually gave in, which later turned out to be a mistake

Love — As much as Eclipse loved Mind, she had no choice but to defend herself, resulting in his death. Even after he betrayed, attacked and lied to her, she still felt horribly guilty for what she had to do. She loved him. She still couldn't help but love him. Later, when she found out that she's pregnant with his kitten, she finally realized the price of this love. After the Three Kings found out about this, they tried to hunt her down, and murder her along with the unborn kitten. She had to go back to DarkLand, the home she denied and abandoned, but deep down still loved. She loved her daughter, Soul, despite knowing all the consequences that may follow. Love was the only thing Eclipse was always sure of; The only hope she could cling to, even if it's false

Sacrifice — Was it worth it? To sacrifice so much for someone she loved, just for him to betray her? Probably not. She left her home, her family, her role and title. Her dignity, her innocence, her sanity. It wasn't worth it. But it cannot be changed now. She watched her parents, her sisters and her own daughter die before her before she finally found peace. And her place in the stars couldn't be any further away from Mind's

GOD THE FUCKING LORE

So like. There's there's there's.

There's a LOT of lore I had going in the past that would put some context on this because this lore was written in like. Season 3-4 era? To flesh out and fill in some blanks. So it contradicts a chunk of later stuff(and some earlier stuff that's explained as a conspiracy/coverup which /might/ be canon considering no one knows about all these ancient things popping up like Luna and Discord and Changelings and a whole ass Empire).

ANYWAY

Short version: Obsidian is who Sombra was before being 'Sombra'. It's another case of 'character just wants to be loved but whoops dark magic and a villain persona!'.

This also has absolutely nothing to do with the comic because I didn't read that.

So! Context!

There were more Immortals, and the Crystal Empire had been founded by one of them. Her descendants became the Empire's rulers. Alicorns /can/ be born, if one of their ancestors is an Alicorn. So in this case yeah Alicorns. Alicorns exist.

Obsidian was born to the royal family, the current Emperess being Lazuli. He had one sister, Emerald. Though Obsidian was older, Emerald had been born an Alicorn. In Lazuli's eyes, this made her the rightful heir and would be named as such once she came of age.

Neither Obsidian nor Emerald were happy with this arrangement. Both felt that Obsidian had much better skills needed to be ruler of an Empire. Emerald, though she knew she wouldn't run the place into the ground, felt her talents were much better suited in supporting her brother as ruler than being a ruler herself.

The pair spend their childhood trying their best to change Lazuli's mind. Obsidian doing anything and everything to gain her favor, to make her see that he's just as worthy as Emerald. Maybe, even, to obtain the power of an Alicorn.

They only have so much time. Once Emerald is of age to be an adult, Lazuli will officially name her the heir to the throne. After that, nothing can be done.

Obsidian does more and more. Looking into everything he can. Endless days and nights of researching to find something that could impress his mother, something that could perhaps give him an edge. None of it works, but he keeps going. It's not over until it's over, so even the night before and the morning of Emerald's Coronation, he's losing sleep in the library researching.

Losing enough sleep that he doesn't question the voices whispering in his ear. That he doesn't think about how he shouldn't trust this, just that he's so desperate that he agrees when he's offered the power worthy of a King.

The world goes fuzzy, and the next moment of lucidity is covered in red. If a Royal dies without a named Heir, it goes to their oldest child by default. The Queen is dead, long live the King.

Obsidian is not himself. Sombra is a twisted version of his desires. Sombra does not care what gets in his way, he will cut them down or force them to obey his wishes.

King Sombra conquers the Empire. Some of the citizens manage to flee, making their way to the other Immortals, for only they could possibly face such a fearsome tyrant. Celestia and Luna fight back, and the Empire disappears. No one knows what happened.

Over a thousand years later, it returns. Obsidian is lucid for just a short while before the corruption returns as well.

The Crystal Heart purges the Darkness from him, yet it's replaced with regret, sorrow, and fear. He can't go back now, can he?

plots para gina: relacionamentos com staffs que trabalham no meio esportivo, com uma atleta mais nova e cheia de entusiasmo, que faria contraste com ela, ou com uma atleta já aposentada. pode também ser alguém que não tem nada a ver com esporte, mas calhou de escutar o programa dela alguma vez, pode ser alguém tão ferrenha quanto ela ou o oposto, pra tentar tirar ela dessa obsessão, existem muitas possibilidades.

A Summary of Events

Even with the arrival of their friends, it took great effort to convince the Crystal Royals to open the lightless prison to let Princess Celestia leave, and to allow the Bearded and Stygian to enter.

While the two Ancient Unicorns tried to help stabilise Star and Sombra, back up top, after Celestia received a letter from the Green Unicorn addressed to Light, she rushed to ask the others for help.

Using Sunburst's spell, and a tuned crystal found by Eclipse, Starlight fashioned a pendant for the two bound beings, hoping that it would inhibit their magic to keep them and their mind more stable.

When Nox and Luna had returned bearing a bag of gifts and the small Pink Diamond Dog Pup, the group collectively thought up a plan to help their friends, and to find out what troubled the two Royals.

After Nox picked up the cursed book from the Archives, and had slowly started to bond with the Pink Pup, she headed towards the grassy fields with the other three Princesses, Starlight, and Sunburst.

But memories forged many years ago appeared once again, and Starlight could only cry in the embrace of her childhood friend who cried in turn, as they promised each other that they would never leave.

With a small, very pure crystal, Nox went back to the Castle, while the rest of the group continued to dig around, only finding impure crystals, which, fortunately, would still be of use to them all.

A bracelet was made for Spike, the impure crystals were imbued with the curse of the book, and with the box with the tuned pendant in her paws, Nox took her position, with the others following after.

But as Spike followed Shining and Cadance, and Nox dove into the dungeon, though the area under the Palace was corrupted, Starlight and the Princesses also fainted, and only Sunburst stayed standing.

After Sunburst was lead to Light's blade and further downstairs by the Pink Pup, and Spike was told of armies threatening the Empire, everybody came together, cleaned the area, and were finally safe.

All that was left was to get rid of the cursed crystal shards, and to awaken the fainted Royals…
