kinda confused about some people saying that "tmagp leans too heavily on tma considering that jonny and alex said it's fine for new listeners". i think if you filter out our old fans' freaking out about familiar voices and names, it's clearly a standalone story that can simply be received a bit differently depending on whether you've listened to tma. as far we know in tmagp, we may never hear from gerry and gertrude again - they are simply background characters/easter eggs, and that's fine! they're great easter eggs! so I don't feel like I'm just being fed familiar names to keep me excited. I'm incredibly curious about the new main characters, what they know, what they don't share, and how their subplots develop. I think if I didn't know tma, tmagp would actually feel pretty similar to s1 of tma - there's horror, there's mystery, there's a lot going on that we have yet to learn, things are unraveling... idk I just think tmagp is neat!!!

extremely true. lest we forget one of the defining tma s1 experiences: being drip fed random gerry keay moments and having no idea who this remarkably helpful but clearly haunted man is.

Hey all I Lowkey feel like we really need to keep the TMAGP vague…. Actually vague haha. Some of yall are just full blown talking about the episode and during TMA that was super frowned upon. Ik everyone is super excited me included but if we could just save the theories and in depth discussion until the full release it would make things more fun and keep folks from seeing spoilers (especially art which reveals specific points in new episodes).

Going through the vague tag I was like “wow if I hadn’t seen the new episode I know everything now”

(This also includes saying the episode name before official release just to be courteous of those who want to wait until just before they listen)

The vague tag is to tease what’s going to happen with jokes, images, or “the magnus protocol is a podcast”. The main audience for the tag should be people who haven’t seen the episode yet not fellow early access people discussion. Sharing so many spoilers that people avoid vague completely defeats its purpose.
