when jaewon went to the river where jihyun had previously gone to explore and find himself in the city, and where they had gone together on their first tentative kinda date, and he sat there, at that place of exploration and discovery and figuratively and literally dipped his toes into the water, and all his memories of jihyun came flooding back as he explored the idea of being with him and reacquainted himself with water, something he’s always loved but is also a source of his trauma, and then that perfectly timed text came through and jihyun reaching out to him, jihyun telling him through that song that their future was their decision, that he had control, and that gave him the strength to take that opportunity…

Weird question, but do your orbs have paws, or cute little nubs that somehow turn hand-like when they wear the gloves? You're never drawn them without gloves, I don't think.

I like to think the older orbs have paws, complete with little retractable claws! (putting on gloves makes them appear more hand-like)

For some more specific headcanons, claws aren't shown very often, and usually come out as more of a last resort defense. In GK's time, they were more commonly used (though GK specifically was trained not to show them as part of keeping up an image). But, in present day, puffballs have evolved to rarely rely on them. Swords are a bit more favorable.

Some have more control over the reflex than others do! Part of it is how they were influenced by their surroundings when growing up.

And at last, some miscellaneous glove facts while we're here:

the fabric of typical gloves is stretchy, with a touch of magic that lets them morph from a mitten shape to individual digits when needed (you might've seen in the anime that MK will occasionally point at something, and his mittens will instead look more like separate-fingered gloves in that moment—probably for the sake of clarity, but I like to think it's just a little pinch of magic)

They're a common accessory in the galaxy, though white gloves are the typical choice for most puffballs

Inexplicably difficult to stain. Give em' a good wash and somehow they always come out looking pristine and as good as new—Granted you didn't shred them in a fight, that is.

To a certain extent, they adjust to whatever's beneath them, so claws won't pierce through, but they'll still be just as sharp.

I think what you may be picking up on is that most of the panels I posted are from either the first or last day, since the rest is covered in a montage of just a couple pages. I originally wasn't going to make a post for every day separately, but with the number of images I had I figured it would be more fun to spread them out.

I was reading the post under your screenshots of Romeo. I'm curious. What is your theory on Romeo's death? Before he became a puppet?

Hmmm... I gave this some thought, so bear with me on this! Hear me out:

If we look at his skin here, prior to the explosion that burnt him... you'll see he still has kinda... dark spots on him? And his dialogue during the fight is very flame oriented.

Not to mention his Ergo, the very reflection of his heart, is titled "Burnt-White King's Ergo" and while it feels sorta like a copout, I feel like just maybe Romeo was victim to a fire. Krat was kinda burnt to the ground in a lot of places, after all. Subject 826 says so himself! And I really don't think he just means the newly burnt Opera House.

There's also the fire in the main section of Rosa Isabelle Street. So what I'm saying is... maybe... Romeo, after Carlo's death, graduated and became a Stalker himself. Remember, Carlo gave Romeo his own graduation pendant, meaning... Romeo hadn't graduated yet! Is Romeo maybe a grade behind? Younger? Less experienced, and therefore, made to stay longer? Who knows... But in the end, maybe, perhaps, as his duty to the people, he was helping people in, specifically, Rosa Isabelle Street? And got overwhelmed by the puppets there and died in a fire/burning building? (Leaning towards burning building, because his face prior to explosion doesn't look charred... just kinda dusty. So maybe a building collapse?)

Also, I'm comfortable saying he died at Rosa Isabelle Street because it's there that we find the "Notes from an Experiment" document!

His body had to have been close enough to drag into the Opera House in secret to experiment on, y'know? So I'm thinking maybe it's definitely his resting place (twice over, oof). It'd also be really sad if he really didn't even realize he had died? Like the death had been instantaneous.

"When the boy opened his eyes..." As in, one moment he was okay, and the next?? He was... not where he thought he would suddenly wake up at. Kinda my take on that...

This was extremely long, I apologize for that!! But thank you for the question!!!! ♡ It's loving Romeo hours up in here, he died trying to do what's right, I'm standing by that!!! How he took it upon himself to use his new found power to fight against the disease and alchemists just says enough of his character to say he definitely died being a hero!!
