tearful grief thoughts under the cut.

i have this thing where i want time to slow down, because it means he was just here. i relate to all things as, "he was still alive then". at the beginning of 2023, he was still alive. and now it's 2024. and time keeps going on but he was just here. i keep wanting to tell people, "but he was just here! he was just here!" i'm dreading the anniversary of his death. there will be no more firsts without him. it'll just be... what it is. not sure if any of this makes sense, but i needed some of these feelings out of my heart.

i thought christmas would be the hard holiday, but it's new years. i just don't like beginning things without him.

tired of people saying christianity is a patriarchal religion when they actually mean that the church is patriarchal.

god has no gender, i personally believe that jesus is at least some form of transgendered, and the holy spirit has been described with all types of gender pronouns.

many of jesus’ most famous interactions are with women. the only person besides him to be born sinless was his mother, a woman. there is special enmity between women and the serpent. (is there stuff in the bible that enforces a patriarchy? yes, because it’s a historical document, but one of the prime beliefs of christianity is that we are all one and equal under god. cope and seethe.)

the catholic church is a whole different beast (i specify the catholic church only because that’s what i’m acquainted with; not because patriarchy doesn’t rule other branches) and should absolutely be described as patriarchal! however, it should not be taken as an indication towards the religion at large.
