Tumblr media
Introduction to Bitcoin and its Volatility
Bitcoin, the pioneer of cryptocurrencies, has taken the economy global utilizing hurricane considering its inception in 2009. As a decentralized virtual forex, Bitcoin offers a brand new manner of conducting monetary transactions without the want for intermediaries like banks. However, despite its growing reputation and extensive adoption, one element that has fascinated each fanatics and skeptics alike is the intense volatility of its charge.
The cost of Bitcoin has skilled extensive fluctuations in its records. Its charge can surge to record highs or plummet to new lows in only a few days. This volatility has left many buyers questioning the destiny of Bitcoin's rate. Will it continue to skyrocket, or is a crash inevitable? Examining the factors affecting Bitcoin's price is crucial to solving these questions.
Factors Influencing the Bitcoin Price
Several elements contribute to the volatility of Bitcoin's fee. One of the primary drivers is marketplace demand and supply. As more fantastic people and institutions adopt Bitcoin, its need increases, increasing the price. Conversely, if the call decreases, the cost can also enjoy a downward fashion. Additionally, the limited supply of Bitcoin performs an enormous role. With a capped collection of 21 million cash, the shortage is built into its design, which could result in price appreciation.
Another issue impacting Bitcoin's charge is regulatory developments. Government policies and policies can significantly affect the belief and acceptance of cryptocurrencies. Favorable rules, together with the recognition of Bitcoin as a criminal gentle, can enhance its cost. Alternatively, poor policies or bans can cause a decline in demand and subsequently affect the fee.
Technological improvements and innovations within the blockchain area also affect Bitcoin's fee. Improvements in scalability, protection, and adoption of recent features can increase the cryptocurrency's confidence, attracting more traders and driving the price upwards. Conversely, any vulnerabilities or setbacks in the generation may have a terrible impact on the charge.
Historical Bitcoin Price Trends
To better apprehend the capacity future of Bitcoin's charge, it's miles critical to investigate its historic fee developments. Looking lower back on the early days of Bitcoin, its cost changed insignificantly. However, as attention and adoption grew, the price started to bounce. In 2017, Bitcoin skilled an ancient bull run, reaching an all-time excessive near $20,000. This meteoric upward push was followed by a tremendous correction, with the price falling to around $three 000 in 2018.
Since then, Bitcoin has seen several cycles of highs and lows. Each process has been characterized via a length of consolidation and accumulation, observed through a surge in rate. These cycles can provide insights into the potential destiny of Bitcoin's charge as they exhibit marketplace individuals' habitual patterns and behaviors.
Expert Opinions on Bitcoin's Future
Predicting the future of Bitcoin's charge is a complex challenge, and specialists have various evaluations of its trajectory. Some agree that Bitcoin can reach new heights in the subsequent decade. They argue that increasing institutional adoption, worldwide financial uncertainty, and the restricted supply of cash will pressure the price. These proponents often point to the growing hobby from fundamental organizations and buyers as a sturdy indicator of Bitcoin's long-time value.
Alternatively, skeptics argue that Bitcoin is a speculative asset without an intrinsic cost. They agree that its price is commonly pushed via market sentiment and is at risk of massive bubbles and crashes. They caution against investing in Bitcoin, emphasizing the dangers and volatility related to the cryptocurrency.
Bitcoin Price Predictions for the Next Decade
While it is impossible to expect Bitcoin's fee with reality, many analysts and professionals have made predictions for the subsequent decade. These predictions range from conservative estimates to extremely bullish forecasts. Some experts believe that Bitcoin should reach six-figure prices, driven by multiplied adoption, shortage, and growing hobby from institutional investors. Others are more careful, predicting a slower upward trajectory with a focal point on balance and marketplace maturation.
It is crucial to word that these predictions are speculative and must be all for a grain of salt. The cryptocurrency market is notably unpredictable, and unexpected activities or market dynamics can significantly affect Bitcoin's price.
Potential Risks and Challenges for Bitcoin's Price
While the future of Bitcoin's fee holds promise, several dangers and challenges could affect its trajectory. One of the giant concerns is regulatory uncertainty. Nonetheless, governments around the sector are grappling with how to alter cryptocurrencies, which may lead to stricter rules or bans. Such traits may want to harm Bitcoin's price and adoption.
Another venture is the potential for technological vulnerabilities. While blockchain technology has been confirmed to be comfy, it isn't always immune to hacks or exploits. A foremost protection breach could shake investor self-assurance and reason an enormous drop in Bitcoin's rate.
Additionally, opposition from other cryptocurrencies poses a chance to Bitcoin's dominance. Newer and superior cryptocurrencies ought to emerge, offering progressed functions and scalability. If these cryptocurrencies benefit enormous adoption, it could affect Bitcoin's marketplace proportion and fee.
Factors that Could Drive Bitcoin's Price Up
Despite the risks and demanding situations, numerous elements may want to drive Bitcoin's rate up in the next decade. One of the most widespread drivers is improved institutional adoption. As more conventional financial institutions understand and invest in Bitcoin, it lends credibility and attracts extra traders. This inflow of institutional capital may want to push the rate upwards.
Another thing is the growing interest from retail investors. As consciousness and information about cryptocurrencies grow, more individuals consider Bitcoin a feasible investment alternative. The elevated demand from retail traders may want to make contributions to the price appreciation of Bitcoin.
Furthermore, macroeconomic factors, including worldwide financial uncertainty and inflation concerns, may also drive the rate of Bitcoin up. As a decentralized and non-inflationary asset, Bitcoin is frequently visible as a hedge in opposition to traditional fiat currencies and monetary instability. If global economic situations get worse, buyers can also flock to Bitcoin as a shop of value, probably riding up its rate.
Factors that Could Bring Bitcoin's Price Down
While some elements could force Bitcoin's price up, others would carry it down. One such thing is regulatory crackdowns. If governments impose strict policies or ban cryptocurrencies altogether, it may hose down investor sentiment and motive a decline in the call for Bitcoin.
Another element is marketplace manipulation. The cryptocurrency marketplace continues to be extraordinarily younger and unregulated compared to standard financial markets. This loss of oversight leaves it at risk of manipulation with the aid of prominent players, which include whales or market manipulators. Coordinated sell-offs or pump-and-dump schemes may want to inflate or deflate Bitcoin's charge artificially.
Technological risks and protection vulnerabilities or scalability troubles should also impact Bitcoin's rate. If a prime safety breach occurs or Bitcoin's era fails to meet the needs of a growing user base, it may erode investor self-assurance and cause a decline in charge.
Strategies for Investing in Bitcoin
Investing in Bitcoin calls for careful consideration and a strategic approach. Here are a few techniques to recollect:
Diversification: Instead of setting all your eggs in a single basket, consider diversifying your investment portfolio. Allocate a portion of your portfolio to Bitcoin while investing in other asset training to spread the threat.
Dollar-value averaging: Remember to invest a fixed quantity in Bitcoin at regular intervals rather than looking to time the market. This method reduces the impact of brief-time period rate fluctuations and permits you to build up Bitcoin over the years.
Staying knowledgeable: Keep abreast of the state-of-the-art tendencies in the cryptocurrency area. Stay knowledgeable approximately regulatory adjustments, technological improvements, and marketplace tendencies that would impact Bitcoin's price. This expertise will assist you in making knowledgeable funding decisions.
Conclusion: Navigating the Uncertain Future of Bitcoin's Price
In the end, the destiny of Bitcoin's rate stays uncertain. While some factors might drive its charge up, some dangers and challenges could deliver it down. It is essential for buyers to technique Bitcoin with caution and conduct thorough studies before making funding selections.
Bitcoin's adventure over the subsequent decade can be formed through many factors, including market demand, regulatory trends, technological improvements, and macroeconomic situations. By staying informed and adopting a strategic approach, traders can navigate the volatile landscape and capitalize on the opportunities supplied with the aid of Bitcoin.
Remember, investing in Bitcoin or any other cryptocurrency carries inherent dangers, and it's vital to assess your hazard tolerance and economic state of affairs before making any funding selections.

BE MY FAVORITE - Novel vs. Series
Chapter 1 | Episodes 1 & 2
SPOILERS - SO. MANY. SPOILERS.
It's widely known by now that the Be My Favorite series is not a faithful adaptation of Jittirain's "You Are My Favorite" but instead an “inspired by” situation. So, I decided to read the novel, and I’m having a delightful time playing spot-the-difference because it’s clear already from one chapter and two episodes that our intrepid director Waa has made some major changes for the series.
Let's dive in!
Tumblr media
KAWI'S FATHER
To start off, Kawi has one living parent in the series: his father. He explains to the audience that his father died a year after his graduation from university, and when he goes to the past, the first decision he makes is to go see, hug, and tell his father he loves him.
Tumblr media
It's one of the strongest moments of the first episode for me, and it's made clear that Kawi's father was one of the only stabilizing influences on his life. As he says when he's thirty, his life went into an irreversible tailspin after his father died.
Meanwhile, in the novel, both of Kawi’s parents are dead and he was raised by his uncle. (Also, his father was half Italian. Just, y'know. As a bonus.)
Tumblr media
So right off the bat, that's a major character and parental influence removed from the series narrative.
INVITED GUEST | WEDDING CRASHER
About ten minutes into the first episode, Kawi sulks over his invitation to Pear and Pisaeng's wedding. (Which then launches the whole "Pisaeng is death"/Gawin Glamor Shot sequence.)
Tumblr media
But in the novel, Kawi wasn’t invited to their wedding. The first thing we see him doing is shopping for flowers to give the bride anonymously. And he also, like? Isn’t in contact with her? At all? She’s also his crush from high school, not university, and the translation I'm reading seems to be implying that he hasn’t seen her in over a decade. He has to ask “connections of distant friends” to get his information about the wedding.
Tumblr media
This creates a major distance that makes him look wildly creepy to me. Like, you weren't invited, but you're still going to buy her flowers, crash the wedding, and give them to her anonymously? To what end? Right away, his motivation just feels sort of self-serving and pointless. (At least if he put his name on it he'd be creepy but manipulative, something active and dynamic rather than passive.)
THE CRYSTAL BALL
Now for our time-travel McGuffin! This is the by far the most significant difference as far as the plot goes, I think.
The series begins by introducing a secret buddy gift exchange during which Kawi picks the name of his crush, Pear. The story establishes Kawi as broke, and he's insecure about the cost of the gift he can get Pear, so he picks a crystal ball music box from the discount bin.
Tumblr media
This sets up a lot of things very neatly: Kawi's financial situation, his struggle with making friends, and his crush on Pear.
In the novel, the first flower shop he tries is closed, so he goes to a rickety, creepy one next door. The mysterious old man inside says he hasn’t had a customer in years, so he gives the crystal ball to Kawi as a “gift”.
(It’s also not a glass sphere with a dandelion inside, but a kind of snow globe with a bride and groom instead.)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Kawi seems to be as unreliable a narrator in the novel as he is in the series. Kawi claims in the narrative to have seen Pisaeng with another woman the day before the wedding to Pear, but I assume it’s one of those “what Kawi saw wasn’t what was actually happening” things.
Tumblr media
TIME TRAVEL
The “going to the past” mechanic is completely different, too.
In episode one of the series, Kawi runs into someone, drops the ball (ha), and ends up missing the gift exchange. Twelve years later, he gets the crystal ball fixed by a mysterious old man who strikes up a conversation on a park bench and asks him for directions to the bus terminal. (My guess for this is that our mysterious character used Kawi's written directions in whatever spell or what-have-you that he put into the crystal ball, so it'll give Kawi who what he most desires.)
Tumblr media
Later, when Kawi turns the base of the fixed crystal ball, he's transported into the past, but he believes it's a dream. So we see our introverted, downtrodden, sulky mess of a trash raccoon that we've gotten to know for the first half of the episode let loose and act on his wildest, weirdest impulses, ostensibly in pursuit of Pear.
Tumblr media
Then, in episode two, Kawi realizes this isn't a dream he's in. We also find out that Kawi has full agency over his ability to travel through time. By turning the base of the crystal ball, he goes back and forth twice in the span of a few minutes, and this both 1) shows the audience some initial rules of the McGuffin (he can use it to go back and forth at will) and 2) demonstrates for Kawi that he can travel through time. He'll soon discover that his choices in the past will affect and change the present, and what he did when he thought everything was a dream has had major influences on the present.
Tumblr media
Meanwhile, in the novel, after Kawi returns to his apartment from the wedding where he didn’t bother talking to anyone, Kawi just goes to sleep, and as he's falling asleep, he hears music from the crystal ball. When he wakes up, he's in the past, and he figures it out pretty quickly. He chats with Pear and Pisaeng in class, and at the end of the day, he goes to sleep and wakes up back in the changed present.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
He has no control the way he does in the series; he just gets a day in the past. So he's a more active protagonist in the series by virtue of this major change to the premise.
PISAENG THE MENACE
By episode two of the series, it's very, very clear that Pisaeng has been carrying a torch for the quiet kid in class.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
My guess for how this may play out in future episodes is that: we could find out that Pisaeng in the original timeline was willing to marry Pear because it's an arranged marriage situation between their families and neither one of them was romantically committed to it. Pisaeng had a crush on Kawi back in university, but because Kawi never talked to anyone and needed to work while everyone else was socializing, Pisaeng never got to know him in any real way, so it was just a superficial crush based on looks (which would tie in nicely with Kawi's fixation on how hot Pisaeng is and his own insecurities about how he feels he doesn't measure up). Now that Pisaeng's seen and talked to Kawi more, the plot may basically become "you're soulmates no matter what you do lolol now let this woman be in peace with her wife".
Tumblr media
In the novel, though, Pisaeng isn’t just flirtatious and obviously pining, he’s teeth-on-the-jugular obvious from the word "go".
Tumblr media Tumblr media
AND THEN THERE'S THIS
In chapter one of the novel, Kawi goes back in time, chats with Pear, gets egregiously hit on by Pisaeng, wakes up back in the future the next morning to Pisaeng knocking on his door, and finds out that oops, Pear is dead.
Meanwhile, in the series, Kawi goes back and forth about three times by episode two, and by the end, Pisaeng shows up drunk and does this:
Tumblr media
(Director Waa is my hero.)
I've only read chapter one so far, and episode two just aired, so it's entirely possible that one of the future episodes might do the "oops we killed someone" thing, but for now, Pear is safe from both of these idiots. <3
IN CONCLUSION
None of this exists in the premise or first chapter of the Jittirain's novel:
Kawi's father, the secret buddy gift exchange, the signature thing that was probably a SOTUS callback because Krist, the dandelion crystal ball, the whole "it's a dream!" character study bit, Pisaeng's mating three-pointer, the club, the gang boss, the iconic running and holding hands, DJ Pisaeng, etc.
The stuff that's the same:
Pisaeng and Pear getting married, the AI, Kawi being an introverted and underpaid subber, time travel, and…I think that's all the major stuff.
So it seems to me like they mean it when they say "inspired by" rather than "adapted from" Jittirain's novel. I think they just took the premise and maybe borrowed a few major events from the novel, but they definitely haven't shied away from making it their own so far!
I'll keep reading the novel and I'll add a new note to this if I see anything else majorly different in future episodes/chapters!

Alpha Firefighting
Reece felt bad about his job. It was not that it was particularly hard to do or that he was bad at it. The colleagues were reasonably nice (although they were often a particular kind of person that Reece didn't like very much in general). The pay was good, fantastic even for the kind of work he had to do.
No, that wasn't the problem, really. It was just that Reece sometimes felt like his job was useless, in the grand scheme of things.
He worked as a financial account manager for a big insurance company and more often than not, Reece felt like he the world in general could very much do without his job, or the company he worked for. On some occasions, he even asked himself if society wouldn't be better off without greedy capitalistic companies like the one he worked for.
Tumblr media
Even though he always tried to do the right thing, this lack of sense troubled him a lot. He donated money and blood, didn't eat meat and tried not to fly too much, but this kind of central pain point in his life kept nagging on him.
In the nights, he often dreamed of a more fulfilling live. He pictured himself as a doctor, or a nurse. Perhaps a paramedic, or a firefighter. He even could imagine himself as a social worker or a veterinarian. But every time he woke up, he was still the same old balding office worker.
Reece wasn't too young, and he had his fair share of bills to pay, so as much as he wanted, a job change would have been a really bad idea at this point in his life, however unhappy his job made him.
One evening, when he came back from work, he passed a carnival that was still under construction. Reece was a big fan of these kinds of events. They provided fun and distraction for people who needed it most. There were many different reasons why someone might feel depressed, and there was nothing wrong with having fun to forget about them. Besides, the bright colors and colorful costumes always brightened his mood.
Strolling over the place, Reece watched the busy people erecting tents or shacks. One tent was already finished, and when he passed it, he heard someone calling from inside. It was a raspy old woman's voice asking "Do you want to know your fate?"
Reece stopped. A fortune teller's tent! Reece didn't really believe in that, but he admired the acting skills of fortune tellers, as well as the ambience, so he didn't mind to indulge in this kind of event from time to time.
He had nothing better to do this evening, so he turned around and entered the tent, and said: "Why not?" in his usual soft and friendly voice.
The lady sitting behind the table looked up at him. She was an older woman, probably in her fifties, with long black hair and dressed in a red robe. On her head was a kind of turban. In front of her was no crystal ball or deck of cards, but a single burning candle.
Tumblr media
She regarded him with a mysterious smile and said: "Welcome! You are my first customer in this city, so I will give you a special reading."
The air in the tent was heavy with incense and Reece was happy like a young boy. He liked it when the show people were in character like that.
He nodded happily and said: "Okay! Tell me everything, please."
The lady looked into her candle and moved back and forth, like she was in a trance, before she said: "I see your fate... You are a good man, perhaps one of the best that walk the earth. But the thing that pains you... your job... you won't escape it until you retire. Your fate is to be unhappy for all of your working life."
Reece blinked. That was both unusual and sad. Normally, fortune tellers made a show of telling you unspecific good things that were coming his way. This prediction... was hitting too close to home. His unhappiness with the situation must have been so obvious that the old lady picked up on it.
Without thinking too much, he answered: "But... I don't want that. I want to have a job that's important!"
The lady opened her eyes and stared at him, before she answered: "The fate that is read is what life has in store for you. You can, however, change it. But it will cost you dearly."
"How much do I need to pay?"
"You don't have to pay in money, but in what makes you special. Do you want that?" The question sounded genuine and unjudging.
Reece didn't need to think about his answer much:
"Yes, I think I would gladly pay anything to be able to help people in my job."
The old lady smiled and blew out her candle. "Then go on and do so!"
From one moment to the next, there was pitch black darkness in the tent.
"Uhm... hello?" Reece called but stopped again at once. His voice didn't sound like it was reflected from the fabric walls of a tiny tent, but more like he was in a bigger room. He stood up and felt around until he found a light switch. After he flicked it, cold neon lights came on.
Reece was astonished. He wasn't in the tent anymore, but he was standing in some sort of locker room. It wasn't hard to discern what kind of locker room, either, since there was a lot of equipment and uniforms hanging around that pointed to one particular job.
"A firefighter?" Reece mumbled as he looked around.
"Reece, hurry up and get changed!" yelled a voice from outside.
What kind of magic was this? Did the old lady somehow made people think he was a firefighter?
Nevertheless, almost automatically, Reece disrobed. The moment he put away his suit into one of the lockers, it became a more casual attire, jeans and t-shirt. However, Reece was more concerned with the clothing still on his body, his underwear. He was sure he put on a comfortable pair of boxers this morning, but he was wearing a loose jockstrap. That didn't make sense! He didn't even own such a piece of underwear!
To make matters worse, the jockstrap was quickly changing, getting tighter and... No. No, that wasn't what was happening. It was filling up! His junk was getting bigger, mightily though. He wasn't getting hard, it was just his flaccid dick getting longer and girthier, alongside with his balls that swelled with masculine seed.
The changes didn't stop there, quite the opposite. Reece watched in amazement, as his body transformed, from his groin outward in all direction. His ass grew fitter and firmer, and his belly sucked itself in, revealing clearly visible ab muscle that stretched a bit, giving him some centimeters of extra height.
At the same time, his calves firmed up with muscle. They didn't change size a lot, but his fat melted away and was replaced by dense muscle.
As the changes reached his knees on the one end, his chest began to itch, as hundreds of small hairs sprouted on the changing flesh. It went a long way from the pudding-like consistency to two hard slabs of muscle, coated with manly hair. The changes continued down his lower legs and his arms. Biceps and triceps filled with mass, two strong arms that were made for breaking doors with a fireman's axe. His muscular legs gave him the necessary stability to do so. His feet enlarged a good one or two numbers, which would certainly help him keep his balance. Finally, the changes reached his head. Stubble formed on his chin and his hairstyle became a stylish, yet douchey cut. With his face squaring into the perfect male form, Reece’s personality changed.
Damn, was he looking good today. He gave his ample cock a last tug before he quickly changed into his uniform, ready to do his job.
Finally, he put on his sunglasses, grinning at his handsome reflection. He didn't have a particularly deep connection to his firefighter job, but the uniform looked awesome on his alpha male body, and he got to spend time with his bros. Besides, a lot of chicks and fags looked up to firefighters, which gave him plenty of material to stick his dick in.
After the operation, he needed to snap some new tinder pics and wait for the inevitable stream of thirsty comments from which he could choose from for tonight. He didn't discriminate if it was a boy or girl worshipping him, unlike most of his bros, but he got them all. He was, after all, a true alpha.

2024 Wheel of the Year (Sabbats) Pagan Wheel
Feb 2 – IMBOLC (also called Candlemas, Imbolg, and Saint Brigid’s Day) It is midway between the Winter Solstice and Spring Equinox. This sabbat reminds us that the light is growing stronger and that the harshness of winter will start to fade. To celebrate the growing light, many Pagans will light candles on this holiday.
Mar 19 – OSTARA /Spring Equinox: light and darkness are in perfect balance on this day. Moving forward, daylight will continue to grow as we head into Spring. It is a time to celebrate balance and the arrival of Spring. It represents new beginnings and the freshness of a new day. What’s past is in the past and past and it’s time to move forward.
May 1 – BELTANE (also known as May Day) (pronounced BELL-tain) This is an exciting and energetic holiday that celebrates sexuality, fertility, and all of the life that comes with Spring. It is a time of great joy and celebration! Feel the creative energy of the Universe. It is a time of renewal and rebirth … a time to grow as a person and reinvent yourself if you so desire.
June 20 – LITHA / Summer Solstice The Sun is at its maximum strength … it is the longest day of the year. This is a season of growth, fruitfulness, abundance, and strength. It’s a great night to perform spells for money, abundance, and financial security … and the strength to do what you need to do to be successful.
June 23 – Midsummer’s Eve: the night before Mid-Summer (June 24). It is considered a night of potent magick. Many Witches will be performing rituals and casting spells on this night. It is also a night when fairies roam the land. If you work with the fairy realm, this is an important night for you!
Aug 1 – LAMMAS (also known as Lughnassadh) the first harvest festival. It celebrates the first grains harvested for baking bread. Celebrate by baking or buying a loaf of bread and sharing it as a celebration.
Sept 22 – MABON / Fall Equinox: the light and darkness are in balance on this day. But it marks the change from the light half of the year to the dark half of the year. Moving forward the darkness will grow longer and the daylight will grow shorter. It is a celebration of the second harvest festival and is celebrated by feasting and visiting with family and friends.
Oct 31 – SAMHAIN (pronounced SAH-win) (as known as Halloween) This is the Witches’ New Year! The veil between worlds is thinnest and the dead are thought to return and visit. It is a night to communicate with the spirits, spirit guides, and ancestors. It is also a night to work with Tarot cards and Crystal Balls!
Samhain is also a time when we come to terms with death and are openly encouraged to let go of our fears of it. It is a time when we acknowledge the hard moments of life that we usually don’t think or talk about. If there are things we need to let go of, Samhain is a good time to release them!
Dec 21 – YULE / Winter Solstice: The real reason that this time of year was celebrated .. before christianity existed. We are halfway through the dark part of the year. The darkness is at its peak…moving forward the light begins to grow stronger and days become longer. You can see why the newly formed cult of christianity, which is what it was at the time, choose this time of year for the birth of christ…the light grows strong and brighter…the Sun is reborn. Yule traditions include burning a Yule log, kissing under mistletoe, and placing an evergreen tree in your home to represent the sustaining of life during the winter.

How Each Bachelor Reacts to the Traveling Cart / What They Would Buy
(FYI, the seller is called Suki in the mod, Stardew Valley Expanded so I will refer to her as Suki).
Alex - laughs when he first stumbles across the cart by accident. "You sell contraband?" Hee... hee.. somehow he finds this hysterical. But the "herbal creme" Suki sells works wonders on Granny's sore back so Alex makes the trip every week.
Elliott - the type to spend all his money on other people and then wonder where it all went. He would get rare foragables from outside the Valley for Leah, and unique fish for Willy. Then he would stay and chat, maybe even have his fortune told or palm read over a spot of strong herbal tea with Suki.
Harvey - doesn't wander that far into the woods that often. However, he knows of Suki and recognizes she is dealing with tough times financially. Once a quarter, he walks out to her cart to offer a discounted wellness check. Suki insists on paying, so he accepts trade in goods like truffles and specialty wines.
Sam - money burns holes in this man's pockets. He wanders out in the woods once when Vincent gets "lost." Sam finds his kid brother chatting it up with the mysterious Suki. He is all about the snacks and stocks up whenever Suki is in town. Sam is also very open-minded, and definitely eats up the crystal ball stuff. They would discuss star charts and horoscopes (which Vincent thinks are "horror-soaps," exactly what he repeats to their mom later).
Sebastian- where do you think this guy gets his "weed?" Certainly not from the local grocer. Suki stocks gummies sometimes too, which Seb hides from Maru (since she once consumed half a bag and thought it was just candy). It was a weird family dinner.
Shane - doesn't care and doesn't really believe in mystical arts. But Suki has a magic concoction for helping him beat alcoholism. Tastes nasty. Burns going down. But man! That stuff works.
Victor - an upstanding citizen. He hears rumblings about a mysterious seller but it's not on his radar. Once, he may have stumbled across Suki's cart and asked about its construction.
Magnus - I like to think these two are friends. Maybe even friendly competitors. After she closes up, Suki goes to smoke with the Wizard and shares tales from the road.
Lance- like Magnus, Lance likes to swap tales of adventure with Suki. Probably over a pint. He would definitely pick up some specialty adventuring items from her cart when he's around.

• Santa Muerte has become more popular in recent years due to the rising interest in indigenous cultures and spiritualities.
• She is often venerated by those who seek protection, guidance, and spiritual freedom from societal restrictions.
• Santa Muerte is often given a gender and identity, but she is seen as beyond the realm of gender. Some cultures see her as the embodiment of death, but others see her as the feminine embodiment of life.
• Some believe that Santa Muerte possesses clairvoyant and clairaudient abilities, as she is often the subject of paranormal claims and stories.
• Santa Muerte is often depicted as being a protective and benevolent figure, but some also associate her with vengeance and destruction.
• She is often regarded as an intercessor and patron for those who are oppressed or marginalized.
HOW TO WORSHIP SANTA MUERTE:
One way to worship Santa Muerte is to devote time and effort to establishing a spiritual connection with her. This can include setting up an altar dedicated to her, lighting candles, offering prayers and songs of devotion, and giving offerings of flowers, food, alcohol, and other items that she may appreciate. It's important to make this altar a safe and welcoming environment where Santa Muerte feels respected and appreciated. Also, it's important to create a clear intent and intention when establishing a connection with Santa Muerte. It could be something like protection or guidance, and to be consistent in that desire.
HOW TO PRAY TO SANTA MUERTE:
To begin, you can address her by name and say something like:
"I call upon Santa Muerte, the Queen of the Underworld, the protectress of the dead. I ask for your guidance and presence in my life. I commit to building this connection more deeply and sincerely. I offer you these tokens of my devotion and respect. May I feel your presence and influence in my life. Hail Santa Muerte.”
WHAT ARE SIGNS THAT SANTA MUERTE WANTS ME TO WORK WITH HER?
If your request to work with Santa Muerte has been accepted, here are some signs that you can look for:
• See her symbols or imagery appearing in unexpected places.
• Have vivid dreams or visions about Santa Muerte.
• Feeling drawn or compelled to worship her.
• You feel an immense sense of peace and protection when praying to her.
• A sense of clarity and direction in life that you did not have before.
• You experience positive feelings and sensations when thinking about or focusing on Santa Muerte.
• A sudden interest in death and the Underworld.
• Experience synchronicities and coincidences relating to Santa Muerte.
• Unexpected signs or omens that point to her presence.
• Feeling a sense of protection or guidance when meditating on her symbols or imagery.
• You feel a deep resonance with her attributes and virtues.
If your request to work with Santa Muerte has not been accepted, you may notice the following signs:
• You feel a strong sense of disappointment or rejection when praying to her.
• Find yourself feeling disconnected or distance from her presence.
• Have difficulties establishing a connection with her.
• Experiencing an unexpected setback or blockage in your life.
• Feeling frustrated, confused, or angry when engaging in her devotion.

Overall you need to be respectful of deities denying your request.

• Cigars.
• Tequila or other alcoholic beverages.
• Cannabis.
• Fresh water.

• Talking to her in the space you created for her.
• Buying flowers weekly for her altar.

• Meditating on her energy.
• Carrying around her images or symbols to protect against negativity and harm.
• Reading and researching about her mythology and history.
• Pray and sing for her.
• Clean up graveyards.
• Draw and paint her.
IS IT SAFE TO EAT OR DRINK AN OFFERING I GIVE TO HER?
Consuming offerings given to Santa Muerte is not recommended because it may disturb the connection with the deity and cause an imbalance in energy. Santa Muerte is a powerful deity and she is not someone to be underestimated. She is a protector and guide of the dead, and she is often seen as a symbol of justice and vengeance. She is a very prominent figure in Latin American and Hispanic religious practices and rituals, and it is important to show respect and reverence when working with her. Consuming offerings given to her may disrupt the connection with the deity and cause an imbalance of energy.

In a world where the Collector was released early and made into Belos's trump card against wild witches
Belos, speaking to the Collector via raven: Hello, Collector.
Collector: Hi Belos!
Belos: I need to talk to you about some important guests coming today.
Collector: Are they bringing candy?
Belos: No.
Collector: And like that, you lost me.
Belos: They're our financial suppliers.
Collector: Oh, they gotta hate us!
Belos: Indeed, they do. Which is why they cancelled our budget.
Collector: Ooh, that's bad. We need that, right? Kiki, we need that, right?
Kikimora: Yes, very important.
Collector: Thanks Kiki!
Belos: Over the last couple of years, we've had some… expensive claims.
Collector: What claims?
Belos: First off, property damage.
Collector: (flashes back to a comet crashing onto the precinct) Good times!
Belos: DOZENS of noise complaints.
Collector: (yelling over Dua Lipa blaring in the background) SORRY, CAN'T HEAR YOU!
Belos: Turning at least a dozen civilians into your toys.
Collector: Oh come on, you've been petrifying witches for ages! You don't see me complaining about it!
Belos: And.....all of those "pranks."
Collector: .......I'm not apologizing for that.
Belos: Listen my friend, I know I'm asking a lot, but....
Collector: But what?
Belos: I would like for you to stay in the basement until they're all gone. Is that clear?
Collector: .........are you embarrassed with me?
Belos: Collector!
Collector: I'm gonna go with no.
Belos: Young man, this is very important and I do not need you causing another scene!
Collector: I don't have to take this! I'm going for a walk.
Belos: NO YOU ARE NOT!
Collector: So whatcha gonna do? Find a Titan who can stop me? What's his name again, Michael McDoesn'tExist?
Belos: (sighs) What do you want?
Collector: What?
Belos: What do I need to give you to keep you down here for the evening?
Collector: I want a super cool staff! And maybe one for the Golden Guard as well.
Hunter: But I already have a staff.
Collector: Then get him a super sharp spear! Spears are awesome!
Belos: Anything else?
Collector: Gimme a big crystal ball too, with Witchflix!
Belos: Should it also have 3D?
Collector: No, that was a stupid gimmick and everyone knows it!

OK so thoughts on mlp: make your mark chapter 6....
isle of scaly / roots of all evil
isle of scaly was cool! kind forgettable compared to everything else but i liked the dragons more than i thought i would and spike was a surprising addition even though i found the idris elba sounding voice to be more than a little distracting haha
roots of all evil was amazing. i think make your mark is at it's best when it's not afraid to up the stakes and opaline's arc finally concluding really did that for me. misty finally standing up for herself was very satisfying as well and i'm glad they at least kinda addressed her trauma.
seriously just the line delivery on "i can feel it in my hooves, see it in my mind" gave me CHILLS, just that entire scene was emotionally charged and the voice acting is amazing.
you could argue that the magic with the love pendant is contrived, "deus ex magica" and all that but it feels very earned in this case. ultimately sunny had faith in friendship above all else, to the very end, and THAT'S what made it work.
secrets of starlight
the new settings and characters were really cool and it's certainly a good setup for the next arc but to be honest i didn't like it as much, i think i'll just need more time with the characters. especially comet.
comet is good and all but i hope he stays more of a side character than a 7th member of the group. we JUST met him keep in mind so he could end up with a really good arc (like starlight in g4 who ended up being one of my favorites, they absolutely TEASED us with that episode title btw) also he's VERY trans coded haha
and hasbro stole my sona's name i demand financial compensation /j
tell your tale episodes 67 & 68
thought i'd throw these in since i JUST watched them about 10 minutes ago. not much to say on rise & fall besides the fact i'm impressed on how decently they summarized roots of all evil haha
crystal ball was neat but again i just think i'm gonna need more time with the starlight ridge and it's characters to really be sold on it for the next arc
also the animation in tell your tale keeps getting better, i'm into it. i used to hate the art style but it's grown on me and these episodes are pretty good for weekly releases
final thoughts
chapter 6 is pretty damn great and i think roots of all evil ESPECIALLY is peak g5. i knew my faith in make your mark was not unwarranted, it just had a slow start.

Life Updates... time away captains log
Fellow Tumblrites,
I hope you've been well. I'm writing this 12/29/2023 at 2:18 PM.
It probably won't go live (I'll schedule it) until January 1st at some point. I've had a few beers. Fucking sue me.
I'm writing this to let you know that I'm actually pretty optimistic for the New Year. Big plans with work, an uphill battle to fight, and a new outlook on life is the prize I receive when I reach the top. Not IF I reach the top. WHEN I reach the top. A real underdog story for sure. But I'm going to make it.
I've been trying to come to terms with my "situations" lately. Financial, mental, physical, and yes sexual you fucking perverts ;)
Lets start from the top....
Financially things kind of suck at the moment.. but with January upon us I am optimistic that a few solid deals will turn my shitty situation around in no time. I'm hardly worried. Not because I'm disassociating or anything like that. I'm just not worried because I HAVE to make this work this month. There is no other real option. If my financial woes continue past January my life is essentially fucked. Anyway, just need to do the activity that it takes! I'm going to be fine.
Mentally things are horrific! But I'm simultaneously desensitized to it. I've thought about talking to a professional. Maybe in 2024 I will look into that further. I think (believe it or not) fixing my financials will fix my mental health by default (sounds unhealthy I know). They say money won't buy you happiness but yeah - it'd fix a lot of my problems, for sure. I'd rather be a "well off" head case as opposed to a broke one.
Physically I'm an office fembitch now. That means I should start PROBABLY start working out again. I love running but it's cold as fuck, gets dark way too early, and I'm typically not sober when it comes time to work out (don't judge). Hoping to clear up the drinking so that I can have more energy to run and lift come 2024. Maybe some body pic updates?
Sexually yeah perv, the moment you've probably been waiting for ;) I actually have been chatting with some people (locals) and I remember why I hated Double List and other similar sites so much. No one is crystal clear with what they want. And they always disappear on me for one reason or another. I'm content fixing the other aspects of my life first. And if the right person comes along then so be it. I've considered officially "coming out" as bi or pan in 2024 recently, but I don't currently have the balls.... maybe later in the year. Still don't view myself as trans. Just a gender fluid pansexual amoeba floating through time and space hunting for dick, pussy, both, or neither.
That's my current shit-show in a nutshell. I've a long way to go. But I'm still a firm believer in the idea that I can turn this around in 2-3 months.
I've dug quite a hole, yes, but I know it could be much worse. I'm hoping to fix this and become an active "Tumblrina" again by March or April.
Feel free to hit my ASKS and reblog my posts as you please. I would love nothing more than to come back to a huge batch of notifications.
Stay winning dudes, and happy fucking New Year 💋❤️

Mark Henn, loooong time Disney animator who was still with the studio in the recent years, has spoken recently...
He's pretty much kind of done with Walt Disney Animation Studios, feeling that the minimal 2D work he had been doing lately (alongside veterans Eric Goldberg and Randy Haycock) wasn't very "meaningful". He is open to going back to finish a short of his own, that he was working with producer Clark Spencer on, but that's just about it. As the Brew notes, his full-time career there is over. He started on THE FOX AND THE HOUND, which released in 1981, to give you an idea of how long he's been there.
It's quite telling how many of the greats departed or were laid off under both John Lasseter and Jennifer Lee's leaderships. Glen Keane, Chris Sanders, Nik Ranieri, Ron Clements, John Musker, the list goes on... I know a lot of animation fans desperately want Disney to do 2D features again, but I don't see it happening. I haven't seen it happening in years. Whenever a piece of 2D for a short or a promo or a commercial surfaces, twitter goes gaga and says "See Disney?? You can do 2D! No excuses!"
It's not about excuses, they simply DO NOT WANT TO. For whatever reason, no matter how silly it may seem to us.
Henn said it best:
"Since then, I think it’s just too difficult for the studio to justify essentially creating a second studio within this current studio in order to do 2D, which is what you had when we had Princess and the Frog and Winnie the Pooh. We essentially had literally two smaller studios under one roof, and I just think that that became too much of a financial risk. Right now, we’re barely able to house everybody that we have on staff. So, I mean, there’s all kinds of logistical things from where you’re going to put people to taking that risk."
I've talked about it, exhaustively, myself. It's just, the larger Disney company isn't too interested in being - to quote former Disney storyman Steve Hulett - a "Renaissance art factory". In addition to 2D really not being conducive to editorial and a one-a-year assembly line model, WDAS management are simply making movies that they think the public wants to see. They spend upward $135m+ on them, and they try to get one out every year. They're lucky to even be making movies, since they've been nearly shut down far too many times to name... As recently as 2006, even, because one Steve Jobs felt they didn't need to be a thing anymore now that the company owned Pixar. I see them as a "legacy brand" at this point. Still alive, still kicking, probably by virtue of being the thing that created the whole company in the first place... But that's just it. It's very "Disney, the way you always liked it" these days. I think that's part of why STRANGE WORLD and WISH had trouble theatrically, among many other things. Pixar had one miss with LIGHTYEAR, but a leggy sensation with ELEMENTAL. It remains to be seen how ELIO does a year and a half from now. Universal on the other hand is somehow keeping audiences coming back for both DreamWorks and Illumination's movies. With the rare miss every now and then. (SPIRIT: UNTAMED, RUBY GILLMAN, etc.)
But yeah, I've kind of made peace with it. Disney Animation is currently not in the business of making movies for people who can spot a Milt Kahl head swaggle from a mile away, they're making movies for the folks who put on Disney+, and then put on ENCANTO and such as background noise. It just... Is what is. 2D is still there in some way or another, like in short films and small bits of animated effects and whatnot, but... It's a crapshoot to think that they'll do a full feature like that this decade, I feel. If anything, they'll just keep tinkering with the art style of WISH, which... Didn't work on a lot of folks. So... Do they go back to the tried-and-true TANGLED/FROZEN/MOANA house style? I don't know, I don't have a crystal ball. I don't even know if they'll have a movie by Thanksgiving of this year. That new Disney+ series they made that's coming out next month, IWAJU, looks like a slightly upscaled Disney Junior show.
I still look for something I'll like in the upcoming stuff, because... Well, even though Disney Animation is merely a cog in the massive Disney machine at this point with little of an identity left (much like the live-action/CG tech demo end of things), this studio's output... Decades and decades of it, has been formative for me. At least one WDAS movie was someone's gateway to the wider world of animation, methinks. It was certainly my VHS tapes of BAMBI, THE JUNGLE BOOK, and THE LION KING, among many others in my library at age 8, that's for sure. I even *liked* the recent films, I have yet to see WISH all the way through, but I did enjoy STRANGE WORLD enough, and liked ENCANTO, RAYA, FROZEN II, etc. a good deal. It's just, a lot of it is nothing really special to me in the end. Just fine at best, with some impressive stuff here and there. Like, say, some of the directing in ENCANTO. Just fine, adequate. I don't think that of the Disney animated features made before this decade. Even my least favorite animated Disney work of the '70s, '80s, '90s, and '00s still has something very unique and influential to it. I don't intend for this to be a knock on the crews' hard work, it's only my personal feelings on what I've seen. It's what they seem to want to be making, or what the management is approving of... I can kick and scream, but, that won't do anything. I'll just see what's next and say "Well, let's see... What will I get out of this one?"
I've long accepted that the ship sailed on 2D features at WDAS, and most of the other big theatrical studios for that matter. Many of whom never even MADE a 2D feature. Pixar never made one, Illumination didn't, Sony Animation didn't until FIXED, you get the idea. The only other one that's still chugging is DreamWorks, and they made their final 2D feature back in 2003. Twenty-one years ago. I look elsewhere for that kind of thing, and I found just that... KLAUS, WOLFWALKERS, you get the idea. The best you'll get in theaters is an adaptation of a 2D animated show or pre-existing franchise, like THE BOB'S BURGERS MOVIE. I doubt that pending-theatrical release Looney Tunes movie, THE DAY THE EARTH BLEW UP, will be the great decider of the future of 2D animated movies in theaters. Ditto FIXED, *if* that's still aiming for theaters. (It got its rating from the MPA a long while ago. It's done. It's in the can... and there's no release date for it.)
So... Yeah... Is what it is. WDAS seems to refuse to do a 2D feature, and have been refusing for over a decade (I really think PRINCESS AND THE FROG and WINNIE shut the door permanently, like an encore that they fought to make happen), and the kind of movie that they're making now may just not be for me and others for the foreseeable future. We'll see where their next path takes them... As long as they come out whatever happens still making movies...

🔮 Crystal Ball- What kind of future does your OC want to have? What would they do to make it real? - for Eilis
🟢 Green- What is considered a weakness in your OC that is actually a strength? What is a strength in your character that can be twisted into a weakness? - for Finn
Thank you for the ask! From this ask game.
🔮 Crystal Ball- What kind of future does your OC want to have? What would they do to make it real? - for Eilis
Really, she just wants to live her life as it is now, with Finnian at her side. She obviously would never keep him from leaving if he wanted to, but to protect him, she would do anything, including murder (again! :D)
She would like some more financial security so they will always be sure to have enough food for the winter. She'd also like to figure out how to return to all her fabric crafts. The loom is unlikely to be a problem, but she can't use the drop spindle anymore, and a spinning wheel is expensive. Perhaps she'll even get a sheep or two! (But she'd have to make sure they can get enough hay n stuff for winter.)
She'll just have to work extra hard and sell what she can, and save as much as she can.
🟢 Green- What is considered a weakness in your OC that is actually a strength? What is a strength in your character that can be twisted into a weakness? - for Finn
Perhaps it is that because he could not use his magic and he has been on his own for years, he learned much more about traditional healing methods, and how to gather plants and prepare things someone at the temple would just call a herbalist for. He is good at traditional healing, just can't see it because he compares himself to an impossible standard.
On the other hand, he has a tendency to push through pain and exhaustion, and then crash that much harder afterwards, which, Finn, plz, stop. He also definitely had moments where he hated his magic for keeping him alive against his will, but that turned out well... eventually.
And of course the most cliche answer possible for both questions: he'd do absolutely anything for Eilis, even finding a will to live xD but if something happened to her. Well. That wouldn't be a happy end.

Just realized that Amity is probably not the only rich kid, but Hunter is probably also a rich kid since he's the "nephew" of the emperor and part of the emperor's coven, he's quite literally royalty. What I'm saying is that Amity and Hunter would have... different perception of finances when compared to the rest of the squad.
It's kinda hard to tell just how much of Amity's wealthy upbringing has effected her overall character. You can definitely see the evidence of emotional abuse but the money never really comes into it. I think it's safe to assume she was probably spoiled, with Odalia and Alador expressing their "love" by buying her things. Amity is shown to own her own scroll, a personal crystal ball and several books, including most of the Azura collection. (idk how Demon Realm economics works but books here are pricey.)
When she was little she also attended swimming lessons, had birthday parties, went to the carnival. None of these are all that pricey but they are unnecessary expenses so you can easily assume that no matter how controlling her parents were, they weren't stingy when it came to Amity getting whatever she asked for. It's also worth noting that Odalia intends to make her daughter a literal princess and even calls her that as a nickname, implying that she considers luxury and flaunting wealth a status symbol. So it'd make sense for her to consider it of upmost importance that people see Amity and think to themselves "wow that girl has everything." So she makes sure she does have everything. (I might be reaching a little with the "princess" thing. Idk it just seems like an Odalia-ish mindset.)
I wonder if Amity has an allowance for when she's out and about on her own. Or maybe she just bills everything to her parents' account. The latter would be kinda funny cuz like. If that's what she's been doing this whole time, Amity has never looked at a price tag in her life. She doesn't know what anything costs. Real "It's just a banana, how much could it be? Ten dollars?" Energy.
However, I like to imagine that Amity knows at least something about business. She's known to be most involved with helping her parents with the whole salesperson thing. So like. She probably understands money in terms of thousands. But she doesn't have a fucking clue how much her school lunch costs and assumes it's like 70 snails or something.
She probably just doesn't know what counts as expensive and what doesn't. Don't even know for sure if this is a problem she'll have for life. She's staying with Alador and Odalia is absolutely taking most of the money in the divorce, so his income is probably gonna plummet. Unless Alador makes a killing by working on his own. And I ASSUME the Boiling Isles is gonna provide Amity lifetime financial compensation for saving the fucking world or whatever.
Anyway I want her to grow and mature and whatever but I hope to god she never learns how money works just cuz it'd be funny as hell. Amity Blight growing up to be one of the most reasonable and level-headed witches on the Isles, but just so happens to have an online shopping addiction and her house is filled to the brim with useless shit she doesn't need.
Hunter meanwhile, yeah, he is technically a rich kid. He's absolutely royalty too. But what I always found ironic is that in spite of all that, he always gave off the vibes that he was broke as shit. Whenever I think about how Hunter is a Prince in his own right I think about his bedroom
Tumblr media
Damn bitch you live like this?
But anyway. This kid is royalty. He lives in a fucking castle. On paper, he is much richer than Amity. But this is his room? There's no bigger room in the castle for someone as important as him? Judging from the castle exterior that shows a row of identical windows spaced evenly apart, this is one of many many rooms that are the same exact size. He doesn't get anything special. This is just another scout room. And you just know that's intentional on Belos' part.
The pillow has always been very telling. Why is it all patched up? Are you really not entitled to a new pillow? To me, it implies that Hunter isn't really given a lot of things, let alone a replacement if what he already owns is damaged, so he has to make do with what he has.
That time he was stitching up his cloak. What, he had no royal allowance to go hire a tailor? It kinda gives off the impression that Hunter has no spending money for himself. He's shown to take on a lot of missions that involve handling finances, more specifically the Emperor's finances. So he'll buy, he'll hire, he'll pay but none of the money is his.
That's not to say he has nothing. He's got toys, books, figurines. It's likely that a lot of his belongings are things he's found from around the castle or on missions rather than stuff he's bought. (Most of the books were probably stolen from the castle library.) As for his toys, I like to imagine that Belos got them for him when he was little as one of those "see? I care about you," manipulation tactics. But as Hunter got older and became more capable, the generosity stopped, and the need to prove himself to earn possessions became the status quo.
So yeah a little like Amity, he understands large sums of money cause that's usually what he deals in, but he's never had any of his own so he's completely lost when it comes to buying regular teenager things.
Anyway I like to think about how Hunter and Amity were instilled with the same belief that you need to work hard to justify yourself but the tactics were different. Amity got everything and Hunter got nothing, but the negative effects on their respective psyche were practically the same.

For day 2 of @rumicworldweek I wrote a silly little thing to show my love for one of the many doomed Rumiko Takahashi love rivals out there
Tumblr media
Summary: Tsubasa ponders an intriguing change in Sakura and what this means for his love quest. Set post-manga finale. 628 words. Gen.
Read under the cut. Also available on AO3.
The more Rika and Miho chit-chatted beside him, the more Tsubasa Juumonji furrowed his brow. Feigning ignorance, he decided the decades-old exorcism journal he was holding in his hands was more worthy of his attention.
“Sakura-chan has been smiling more since she made up with Rokudou-kun, don’t you think?”
“I told you! They are so dating, they can’t even hide it anymore”
And it was this exchange the one that made him finally take his eyes off the carefully annotated instructions on how to create a special blend of holy ashes. He went on to scan the classroom, as he normally did, in search of the object of his affection. Sakura Mamiya was handing the aforementioned redheaded Shinigami an additional bento box. The memory of the recent embrace those two had shared in the Spirit World –as seen through Annette-sensei’s crystal ball– burned in his mind. Thus, Tsubasa stared intently at the rumored couple, curious to see if the consequences of whatever had happened between them were a threat to his own love story.
His world momentarily sank as he contemplated how the normally stoic Sakura was indeed smiling the sweetest smile he had seen thus far. And she was dedicating that smile to Rinne of all people. He could almost swear he’d noticed a hint of a blush in her perfectly soft-looking cheeks.
But Tsubasa was, of course, a man of logic. This has an easy explanation, he told himself. The additional lunch was at this point a tradition of the friendship between Sakura and the financially broke Rinne Rokudou. And it’s not like the food itself was carefully cooked by Sakura herself, no. Perhaps her mom (age 39) had overdone her cooking portions once again. And the blush? Merely a trick of the mind, a most treacherous doubt that the bumbling Rika and Miho had planted in him with their constant gossiping.
His pulse violently accelerated the moment he noticed Sakura had returned to her normal expression and was staring back at him. He saw her –oh so charming– lips moving, muttering an excuse to Rinne as she strode towards the lovestruck exorcist.
“Is there anything wrong, Tsubasa-kun?” He could honestly never grow tired of the way her voice sounded whenever she pronounced his name, no matter the tone she used. Each of the syllables was his own private concerto.
“M-Mamiya-san” he initially spouted, a sudden confidence growing in his chest as he came up with a solution to disguise his stalking. “My father got me an exorcism job downtown this afternoon and I wondered if you wanted to come along, that’s all”
“Oh, sure”
And then the smile came back, and with it Tsubasa could feel his heart melting in real time. He failed to notice that this version of her facial expression was subtler –polite, even– compared to the one offered to his rival moments ago. After all, if he could elicit the most exquisite upturn of Sakura Mamiya’s lips, then Rinne Rokudou wasn’t as special as the girl’s friends had claimed.
I still have a shot with Mamiya-san, he internally shouted with glee, both of his fists up in the air. Today we’ll go on a date and maybe I’ll get to see more of her adorable smiles!
Or maybe not so internally…
“Juumonji-kun, you said that out loud. Again”, he heard an exasperated Rika say.
But Tsubasa Juumonji, young master of Western-style exorcisms (and self-delusions) paid no attention whatsoever. Not even to the stinging pain the tip of one irritated Rinne’s Shinigami scythe was inflicting on his head as he bluntly hit him, nor to the chilly and tight embrace of the long-distance traveling disembodied spirit of one Ayame Sakaki.
There was nothing for him to be worried about in the end.

Just saw bondy’s last post. I know he was half joking about the irreparable disappointment part regarding ticket sales but damn… going from selling tens of thousands of tickets to struggling to sell a few hundred is definitely painful. Also I see many international fans in the comments and knowing he probably can’t play outside England because he doesn’t have the financial means anymore is also shitty. Also can Van do something already I’m getting bored and impatient 🤥
Yeah they’re working so hard to shift these tickets. I wish I could buy tickets and support him. The frustrating thing is it must be so expensive to tour overseas as a small band, it will likely be a struggle for them to play outside of the UK and there’s lots of fans around the world that would love to see them. I know how much Bondy enjoyed the touring aspect of being in an internationally successful band too 😔
Can we place bets on when we are gonna hear from catb?
I’m looking into my crystal ball and I think there’ll be an announcement on Friday 12th April 🔮 Where is my mutual who made a prediction last time? We need some mystic insight!
