Guys if you like GREAT hand drawn animation, fantastic lady superheroes, support diversity, and if you want to support Rise, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE, TUNE IN TO MOON GIRL AND DEVIL DINOSAUR ON FEBRUARY 2ND IF YOU HAVE DISNEY PLUS!
Also! IF you have cable, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE! WATCH IT ON TV! Disney is doing the same thing Nickelodeon did to Rise, making the show impossible to watch and blaming low ratings for its lack of success.
Animation is is trouble. We’ll keep getting creat shows cancelled and not given a chance if you don’t support the good stuff that is out there right now! Flying Bark makes some great shows! Keep supporting their work if you want them to keep creating. Unless you want soulless work made by AI and more copies of SpongeBob and Teen Titans Go, please watch the good stuff.
If you want fluid, well made, and beautiful hand drawn animation, please support the ones we have! Otherwise, we will never see it again!

Cartoon Brew: Production Workers at Dreamworks Animation and Flying Bark's U.S. Office Move Towards Unionizing
Production workers at Dreamworks Animation (DWA) and the U.S. satellite office of Flying Bark Productions are pushing to unionize with The Animation Guild (TAG).
The Guild says it is optimistic that both DWA and Flying Bark will voluntarily recognize the bargaining units. If not, the next step would be to petition the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) to hold union elections.

Australian studio Flying Bark Productions will animate Avatar Studios’ 2D adult Gaang ATLA feature film!
Here are the key excerpts from the official if.com.au news release shared by Flying Bark (emphasis ours):
Paramount Animation and Nickelodeon Animation have enlisted Flying Bark Productions to animate their newly-announced untitled 2D Avatar feature film, as the Sydney-based studio seeks to expand its team.
Set to couple traditional 2D animation with substantial CG elements, the Avatar feature films will be based in the world of Avatar: The Last Airbender and The Legend of Korra, which were originally created for Nickelodeon by Bryan Konietzko and Michael DiMartino. The upcoming feature will be directed by Lauren Montgomery, with Konietzko and DiMartino producing under their Avatar Studios banner.
Flying Bark Productions, whose recent credits include Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, LEGO Monkie Kid, [Marvel Studios’] What If…?, has put a call out for Australian and international artists across several 2D animation and CG departments, with successful candidates to join the company from next year.
[...]
Flying Bark director of production Alexia Gates-Foale said the studio looked forward to welcoming new talent while also further developing its team of 350 artists during an “exciting time” for Australian animation.
“Avatar: The Last Airbender and The Legend of Korra are two of the most iconic animated series of our time and we are simply thrilled to play a part in bringing this new story to life,” she said.
“With a company full of creatives and super fans, the Avatar feature is a dream project for the team at Flying Bark.”
Paramount Animation executive vice president Mark Bakshi said Flying Bark’s track record of “artistic excellence” made them an ideal creative partner for the film.
“We are so excited to be working with one of the premiere and long-standing animation studios in Australia, Flying Bark,” he said.
At SDCC this year, it was revealed that the first of three planned standalone Avatar feature films will follow Aang’s Team Avatar, and we at Avatar News exclusively reported that the Gaang will be young adults in the movie.

Hello sorry to bother you with this all of sudden ,and this might be coming out of nowhere, and I’m not trying to force you or be pushy I’m just trying to get more people into this show with great potential. You can ignore this if you want. If your not interested it’s fine but Have you heard of or watched moon girl and devil dinosaur? Season 2 premier happened
The main character I love she gives me autistic vibes I’m autistic. The show has interesting characters, action ,great music, and animation ,good themes and representation, Anime references, plenty of Sailor Moon references too it even has an eyecatch season 2 is going to be more story driven if you find that interesting. It also shares the same animation studio as rise of the teenage mutant ninja turtles.
It be good if you also watch the season 2 episodes when they air so the ratings will be higher.
I think Disney might be trying to sabotage the show with them dropping 14 episodes on Disney + Feb 3 which has passed.and it’s only half of season 2. We have a week or two to binge it.They did similar with season 1 and the ratings where low ,please watch season 2 episodes when they air on. But more importantly also watch it on Disney + in feb and when they air it on YouTube. Unfortunately they dropped 14 episodes on Disney + so watch them all in a day if you can but also when they air the first time if you have cable.
I’m not just saying only cable just also. I’m saying please support this show. Despite that it still won 5 Emmys. Also if it’s no trouble could if it alright with you spread the word about this show to others you know like either online or irl. Time is limited!
Thank you so much for letting me know! I still haven't watched it but it was on my watch list already, so I guess it's time! I'll try to get Disney + and to spread the word around.
Flying Bark is definitely one of the studios I want to try to send my stuff once I graduate, they're so talented.
Thank you again for the heads up

there's a difference between "studio contracted to do movie/series" and "studio chosen as backup because they ran out of budget and had to go with a cheaper studio". Studio Mir was the contracted studio, of course it looked better. But if you look at a lot of Studio Pierrot's catalogue, they're a perfectly fine production studio that specializes in action, it totally made sense that they used Pierrot as the fallback. If they had kept Studio Mir during that time, LoK probably would have had a similar result. I think a style change is probably to be expected with Flying Bark, just as the slight style change between Atla and LoK (Studio GM to Studio Mir), but also remember that there is no Flying Bark "style". The style is still up to Avatar Studios and their design team as well as Bryke's direction, Flying Bark is just the animation studio, it's their job to follow what Avatar Studios commissioned of them, and their work so far has been incredible, they were probably chosen for a reason. (For context: while I don't know what Avatar Studios and Flying Bark plans to do, but I am an industry professional and this is just typically how it goes. The last show I worked on ran low on budget at some point in production and we had to change our contract studio from one in Canada to one in the Philippines, it's just the way the production pipeline works.)
As far as I know, they hired Pierrot Studios because Studio Mir was exhausted of working in book one. The "ran out of budget" only really happened in book 4.
And this is why when Studios Mir return, already in book 2, they did in a amazing style with Beginnings episodes. There's a well done video on YouTube breaking down the whole backstage production of The Legend of Korra, is a pretty cool.
Yeah I'm know I know, but as a fan I get worry either way. And I really really hope Flying Bark do a awesome job

I just skimmed through the art part of your blog and holy bajeebus your LMK art is so beautiful and the headcanon ideas you come up with are so good I wanna steal em-
Kinda wanna see like a part 2 of the little angst you did between MK and Macaque a while ago. It's so interesting and I wanna see Macaque's reaction in your art style. (You don't have to of course, it's just a suggestion [idk if i spelled that right])
Thanks for reading and hope you have a good day/night!
Hope this is to your liking ^^
