it's pure coincidence. the one time he has another fucking nightmare and the one time he notices when you get up to get water in the middle of the night colliding. his breath is shaky as he sits up, and when the momentary panic subsides and he's able to separate bad dreams from reality, he knows you're probably fine. it doesn't do anything to quiet the pounding in his chest, the panic gripping him that something horrible has happened to you and you've been kidnapped, or worse, you finally got so fed up with him that you left, running off in the night with no good bye and leaving him to wonder if you're dead or in danger forever. nothing is going to quiet that voice in his head until he finds you. whether he finds you on your way back or you reenter moments after he wakes up, he's still going to bolt over to you, pulling you into the tight embrace. You hold him back, figuring he just missed you, but he holds on tighter and longer than usual, even for him. you rub his back gently in that way you do as he curls your bodies together, face burried in your neck, and the catharsis almost hurts. he holds you tight, breathing in your scent, reminding himself to be here and now, to not linger in that awful dream any more than he already has.

"You okay?" you croak, voice groggy. it solidifies the knowledge that yes, you're here and you're real. you're in his arms and that's not imagined. he takes a few more breaths, collecting himself and embracing your warmth, your body heat mixing with his.

"Bad dream." he murmurs all gravily and sleepy into your neck. it's clear that he woke up suddenly, and you know him well enough to know what that means. you cuddle him extra close when you get back into bed, muttering little words of affirmation in the moments before you both fall asleep again.

"I love you, Teddy," you mumble before you doze back off again. he lets your words ring in his ears, and they remind him that you'll be right here when you wake up in the morning. when the sun rises and kisses your beautiful soft skin, he'll do the same, because you'll both be right here with each other come morning, and the morning after that, and the morning after that. when had dreams like this before - which used to be much more frequent - he wouldn't stand a chance at falling back asleep. but now, with you wrapped up in his arms, warm little breaths puffing against his chest, he feels himself pulled into the embrace of the late hour. he's excited for tomorrow morning to come.

I dunno why but it's one of the funniest moments in TF:Exodus. Like, the way Megatron just ignores Shockwsve's words makes me think it wasn't the first time. Like "yeah, yeah, you might desire to conduct an inhumane experiment on me, but check out my new name".

But Shockwave and Soundwave are such good besties. No questions asked, just be who u wanna be.

Also my personal hc that Shockwave and Megatron met through Soundwave. 2waves already knew each other, cuz Shock used to patch Sound up. And after Megatronus fought Soundwave, the latter was very interested in his opponent, so he sent Laserbeak Rumble and Frenzy to spy on the best gladiator. He wasn't really happy with cassettes following him, but once they explained themselves he decided to meet with Soundwave again. After they've gotten closer and became brothers in arm, Sound decided to introduce gladiator doctor/unhumain scientist. Megatron really wasn't happy with Shockwave using gladiator's corpses for his own caprice. Yet he was still useful for the cause so he had to tolerate scientist. After all of them became kinda close. They had a very strange type of friendship, but it worked and no one complained.

Like, it's already been established that Lucifer made Lu Lu World, but he's also been off doing his own depressed thing for a while, so I've always wondered when he made it.

I headcanon that he made Lu Lu World after Charlie was born as somewhere fun and exciting to take her.

Of course, all of demonkind were welcome to go there too, as it is an amusement park, but it was mostly for Charlie's sake. I like to think that Charlie loves going to Lu Lu World. She has such good memories there, and I 100% took Vaggie there on one of their first dates.

And I would love Lucifer taking the gang to Lu Lu World 🤩LOL I can imagine him winning Alastor one of those cheap game prizes, and Alastor's all like "ha! Is that the best you can do?" Then he goes and wins Lucifer an even bigger prize.

Salty, Lucifer takes him up on the challenge and wins him two prizes. And then it just escalates into this battle of who can win the other the most cheap, stuffed animals. They've both got such egos, and neither of them are backing down. It strange. It's deranged. It's surreally entertaining to everyone watching.

(Lucifer wins when he wins Alastor a Furby, but he doesn't know about Alastor's Furby obsession, so he's so confused when Alastor's face lights the fuck up when he hands him this fucked up, creepy little monster thing with soulless dead eyes. Then again, he should've known Alastor likes fluffy little freaks. Niffty is his favorite, after all.)

I would have said too that maybe the Family - trying to seek out the traitor and the killer of the first Oak Family Head - framed the Watchmaker and possibly turned him into a memory zone meme as well, but the Family is trying to search for the Watchmaker so that's less likely the case. It's been more than 20 years and for some reason I feel that Gosho hasn't given Kaiao any development, how can more than 20 years pass and Aoko dynamics, relationship and feelings remain the same? At this point I feel like Gosho is just going to make them date because "they already liked each other" they remain in the same status quo

Hey, if we go by DC romance progress, they've been going too fast. We've already had suspicion of identity chapters, and that didn't happen until more than 400 chapters in DC. /j

Since heists have taken over any character development recently, I don't even know if Kaito and Aoko will even get any romantic progress. Maybe the actual identity confrontation will happen down the line, since that's thief drama, but atm, it really wouldn't surprise me if they only ask each other on a real date at the very end of the manga.

Like. I'm sure Gosho would love to make MK a love drama as well, but he writes MK so rarely, and usually as hype for something Kid related in other media. So the MK stories tend to be heavy on drama that can only take place at Kid heists. (To the point that the new chapters just. Use Kid as the plot device to show off a new character. Even Hakuba's never gotten so much 'look at this character being a detective' treatment in MK.)

-sighs- I just feel bad for MK as a series at this point. I like the characters, I like the general story idea, but. It's been going down a very steep hill with Gosho wanting things exciting, but not wanting any real progress in. Anything. But unlike old MK, the new stories aren't even nice standalone setpieces of story, they're... mundane. They could be high stakes, if you purely look at the scenarios on paper, but. We all know nothing's gonna happen to Kid. Nothing even happens to him when the actual bad guys show up, much less one-time antagonists.

We need actual character focus and development, not heist drama. Badly. Not even romance, though that'd be a nice change. Just any character expansion of our limited cast of characters. Gosho wants big, all the time, meaningless big stuff, when small would be so nice.

#And also he probably won't care to expand on KaiAo when he knows it's already canon #Like; not in the same way that ShinRan is canon endgame and he just needed to write it out #But in a 'I said these two were dating in another manga; they will exist even if I haven't written it' #And his story atm does feel like it could be left off with an ambiguous note on if they're together or not #And then just leave them dating in Yaiba for people who care about confirmation #MK is not in a stable enough state; I really don't know what he's planning with anything #And it's been so. -gestures to all the 'meaningless big stuff'- lately #I don't know if it'll ever get any shift in focus in the future #We barely get anything; all we have now is a new character people are divided about #And the tiniest continuity of Aoko thinking to herself that Kid is teasing her by reminding her of Kaito #Like; part of the problem is continuity as well; at least if Gosho wants to stick with DC-ish MK #MK has all the potential for callbacks or returning characters that could be interesting #But none of the potential that fans enjoy is ever /used/ #We got all our KaiAo up front. We have suspicion arcs where it's barely mentioned that Kaito's proven his innocence in the past #They could go back to the amusement park and Aoko could mention the movie and Kaito can be sweating #Because he never saw the movie; that's then he peaced out to go heisting #There's so much.
