Alright everyone, come get your yummy bread crumbs!

Lucifer was pacing back and forth in his room full of rubber ducks. That fight with the hotel's busboy really got to him. What was his name again? Doesn't matter. He stops when he sees a duck that looks like Charlie. He picks it up, beginning to rant aloud.

"That busboy is insane! He really had the fucking nerve to call him your dad to my face! Me! Lucifer!The King of Hell! Your real dad! Your flesh and blood! Your kin! He can't possibly think he's a better dad than me!? No one in Hell is a better dad than me!" He paused, looking down at the Charlie duck. "Right?"

The duck of course didn't respond.

He lets out a pathetic sigh, holding the duck close and flopping on his bed. Who was he kidding? Anyone would be a better dad to Charlie than him. He was barely in her life! He doesn't know her favorite drink, her favorite color, anything! He didn't even know she had a girlfriend until today!

Lucifer rolled over, shoving his face into a pillow with a groan. He was the worst dad in the universe!

The sad little man looked up from his pity party when he heard a soft knock on the door. He quickly gets up, clumsy running around and fixing his appearance. "Uh- C-come in!" He answered once he looked mostly presentable.

Charlie opens the door, peaking around the messy room. She doesn't remember there being this many ducks.

Lucifer stared at her in complete shock. His daughter? Here? HIS DAUGHTER WAS HERE!!!

He coughs, trying to act cool. "Heeeey, Char-Char! What- what are you doing here? Couldn't get enough of your old man today, eh!" He rubs the back of his neck. What do you do in a situation like this? It's been years since Charlie came to visit him. Did she somehow know he was thinking about her?

Was the princess psychic this entire time!?

Charlie carefully steps into the room. "Hey, dad. Nice ducks?" She picks one up to examine. The ducky flipped in her hand before it suddenly started spitting fire. "AH!-" She yelps, dropping the duck and jumping away in fear.

Lucifer freaked out. "CHARLIE I'M SO SORRY THAT DUCK WAS A NEWER ONE I KNEW IT WAS STUPID PLEASE DON'T HATE ME-" He was cut off when Charlie placed a comforting hand on his shoulder.

"Deep breaths, dad. It's ok. I don't hate you. I never hated you." She helps him get his breathing normal as she leads him to the bed.

They sit down, Charlie taking her dad's hands in hers. "I just wanted to thank you for... Everything. I know we were... Distant- But today was a huge step forward!" His daughter smiles, and Lucifer had to hold back tears. "You're an amazing dad. I wouldn't want anyone else."

That did it. That broke the camel's back. He choked on a sob, pulling the sweet princess into a tight hug. His daughter really was psychic!!

Charlie hugged back just as hard. She didn't like seeing her father cry. A frown wasn't a good look on him. Like Alastor says: You're never fully dressed without a smile!

And she knew just the trick to bring his back.

Without any warning Charlie pulls back and tackles her dad.

"Oof! Wha- Charlie! What are- Oh no. Nononono!" His eyes widen with panic from the mischievous smirk on her face.

"Who's this Charlie you speak of? I'm.... The Tickle Monster! Rawrrr!" She broke character for a second to giggle. Lucifer used to use this trick on her when she was sad, so now she's returning the favor! She formed her hands into claws and wiggled them above his stomach. "I'm here to feast!" She growled in a deep funny voice.

Lucifer panicked more, but he also felt a mixture of silliness and pride. It's been a long long time since him and Charlie played together. He thought she wouldn't remember this game. His smile turned wobbly, deciding to play along. "Pl-please, Miss T-tickle Monster! Have m-hehehercy!" He was already starting to giggle.

Charlie broke character again to squee in pure happiness. She didn't actually expect him to go along with this! She clears her throat, putting back on her scary tickle monster persona. "Silence! My meals don't talk!" She dives in, attacking his belly with many scribbles and pokes. "They laugh!"

Luci squealed, bursting into high-pitched giggles. He grabs onto Charlie's wrists, but he made no move to push them away. "Chahaharlie! Ihihit tihihickles!"

Charlie couldn't help but to coo at her dad. "That's the point, ya goober! And that's Miss Tickle Monster to you!" She moved up higher to pinch at his ribs.

The King of Hell's giggles turned into full on laughter. He kicked his feet and squirmed, still not trying to get away.

"My, these ribs give off some tasty laughter! I must have more!" With each pinch she made a nomming noise like she was actually eating his laughter.

Lucifer flushed at the silliness of it all. He had to admit, this was making him feel better. It's been so long since he had a good laugh, and the anxiety from earlier melted away with each "nom."

Charlie stopped to give her father a quick break. "Mmm! Those ribs were delicious! Now I'm craving something for dessert!"

Lucifer froze. He knew what that meant. Still, he didn't want to ruin the fun. He pretended to be curious. In reality, he was preparing himself for what's to come. "What would that be, Miss Tickle Monster?"

"Raspberries!" The Princess leaned down, blowing a huge raspberry on Lucifer's tummy.

Luci went absolutely crazy with laughter! He even let out a few snorts! "OHOHOHO GOHOHOHODNEHEHESS!!" He shook his head, covering his blushy face.

Charlie was delighted by his reaction and laughed along with him. She blew a few more raspberries before deciding he had enough and falling onto the bed next to him. "You alright there, dad?"

"Ihih'm fihihine!" Despite still being giggly he felt great!

Soon enough, they were both taking a well deserved nap.

"That's good. I really did miss your smile too, dad." She hugs him, snuggling into his side.

I NEED YOUR THOUGHTS ON THE ARMAND/DANIEL BREAK UP SCENE IN TVA PLS

Not gonna lie, I would’ve loved for a more polished version of this to have made it into the book, the potential is there IMO as well as all the elements that make Devil’s Minion such an explosive, intense, compelling ship. The fighting, the yearning, the weird sexual analogies (this one didn’t quite land but it kinda always goes back to sex with them, doesn’t it?), the kissing in between hurtful statements. Daniel using INSECT parts for his models, Pandora trying to make him pay attention to Armand, Armand being sad and kissing Daniel while trying to fix things, but Daniel being too far gone at the time to even register the impact of his words. I NEED MORE.

Anon, I have so many thoughts, my brain is spinning.

I'm not sure I'd want this in the book or not, it's so hard to say now. I was absolutely baffled by Daniel's lack of inclusion in TVA when it came out, and and then suddenly he's there in B&G mad and being cared for by Marius, and I had to do a lot of mental gymnastics to figure out how I thought he got from A to B. I eventually decided him thinking Armand was dead drove him mad, which made the most sense to me. That is clearly is not what Anne had pictured, but at this point I'm honestly pretty happy with that conclusion instead.

I'm trying to imagine how it would have felt if this was included in TVA. What else does that change? Is Armand still bitter and angry? Is he more regretful? Does this mean we get any of his POV of the Devil's Minion years, including their break up? (Because that is the piece I feel is most missing from that book and what I deeply wanted from it in addition to filling in Armand's background.)

The idea that Armand abandoned the island to mortal hands--a reference to him selling it, I guess--would absolutely break Daniel apart. It does feel very much like something he would be devastated by but I don't feel we're given enough on this one page to really understand what happened. Armand left the others? That doesn't gel with anything I've ever thought. Armand always struck me as the one who was holding things together and was then heartbroken when everyone else left. So I'd need a more context into Anne's idea of how things played out there.

That said, there are pieces I like!

I love the idea of Pandora and Marius looking after Daniel together and Pandora trying to get his attention.

"I have no maker!" I mean, if Daniel and Armand had a vicious fight and Armand all about renounced him and left him wandering to the point where the loneliness and devastation of it drove him mad, then this is absolutely something I can see him saying. The way he talks about how Armand doesn't make others so clearly he has no maker is so full of bitterness and resentment I would love to see a fic unpacking that (Someone should write it! Maybe several someones!)

Daniel building his worlds with found objects and weird shit is amazing. Like it's so deeply unhinged that I can't help but applaud the creativity. I honestly wish I'd known about this months ago because I can totally see this happening as Daniel sinks into madness and I would have loved to have added a scene to my fic about that where Daniel is building a little town on the floor of some seedy motel with bugs and matchbooks and rubber bands or something. It's delightfully freaking weird and I dig it.

I love Armand asking after Daniel, which is another thing I think was sorely missing from TVA. The fact that he doesn't seem to care where he is just explained by his assumption Daniel hates him, but it still feels exceptionally weird to me that Armand wouldn't even ask, particularly after he almost died, and he doesn't know if Daniel may have tried to follow suit? This whole big thing just happened and Lestat is catatonic on the floor, I'd be accounting for my loved ones, no matter how we left things.

Armand losing all his anger and bitterness (does he have that in this version? He must have some, right?) when he sees Daniel in a bad state, clearly struggling, and offering him comfort is so precious. But also can we talk about "I didn't mean to abandon you..." ????? Armand ABANDONED Daniel in this version??? I just... that's so wild, I have so many questions. And then he kisses him??? That is precious. Look, I have wanted an Armand and Daniel interaction during his madness since we learned Daniel was in Marius' basement playing with model trains in Blood and Gold. And I think I would have been okay with this if we got some satisfying resolution between them afterward - we can have this hurt, but we need some comfort to end it on, you know? And I don't think that would have happened. I think Armand would have left defeated and we'd have been stuck with that in our heads for decades until PL came out and we get one freaking line about them hunting together, so.

I think I am glad this version did not make it into TVA, but I would also love to read a dozen fics that try to make sense of all this because there are some delicious tidbits I think talented fic writers could explore and really work into something great.

~He always seems to be hovering over you, now. Watching from the doorway, and when you say something about it, he just says he was checking on you.

~It gets annoying and then he's annoyed and embarrassed that you're annoyed and now he's stressed and kind of sad. He thinks he's being oversensitive and now he's even annoying himself. help him omg

~He starts getting way more violent than he used to be during hunts. Anything to protect you.

~Din's just realizing how important you really are to him. Doesn't understand how much something means to him until it's gone, he's learned, so now he's around you and just...looking at you and appreciating you and being so freaking worried over something that doesn't exist and isn't happening

~Super stressed out if you ever need to leave to do something, or even if you just want to go shop around or get something to eat.

~It comes off as him being super annoyed, but he honestly just doesn't want to see your back when you leave, and he's scared of you getting injured, kidnapped, ect.

~He used to always be fine with you doing literally whatever you wanted because he knew you could handle yourself. Now he's worried about the smallest thing happening and does not want you going anywhere.

~(Y/N): I'm going out to eat

~Din: we have food at home

~Clings to you and then tells you that you're the one following him when you say something about it. He gets embarrassed.

~But then he feels bad and realizes that's a form of gaslighting you so he rejects what he said and tells you that you're right.

~Really, he's just an emotional mess. He gets over it slowly, but Din really just wants to make sure you're safe and that you're happy with him. After Grogu left with Luke, you're the only person he has to take care of. He likes feeling needed by you 🥺

~So now you're the baby!

~He did already have separation anxiety due to his parents :( so now it's worse. It's not permanent, but he definitely starts overthinking about you and your safety.

~Just be patient with him, he'll be okay.

~The man just worries a lot and loves you.

-Now before anyone freaks out, no I don't "hate" Stolas... at most I'm honestly just kinda... "neutral"-feeling whenever he pops up on screen these days 🤷‍♀️

Concept-wise, I do like the idea of Stolas being this seemingly aged, powerful figure among the Ars Goetia... struggling to balance his twisted desires with his family/royalty responsibilities. Often getting lost in his own head to focus on anyone but his personal joy/fantasies-

...but at the same time, not too far gone that he can't reel it back in-time to eventually realize his mistakes, and try to do whatever he can to fix it (no matter how successful or not those attempts be-):

It was unique, compelling and overall made Stolas an entertaining character from the initial HB pilot to the end of S1. Making me super intrigued of how this crooked, broken bird could eventually grow and learn from all that happened into S2...

...aaaaand then "The Circus" & onwards just... idk, decided to do away with all that to make Stolas more like an innocent, pure-natured soul all along... who never meant to come off like a selfish jerk 'cause he's just soooo lonely & sad, having the sweetest of intentions all along~ 🥺🥺

and its like... usually I don't mind giving sympathetic/tragic backstories to explain why they behave the way they do in the present-day... but with how S2's been framing things with Stolas atm, any and all mistakes he's pulled in the past has become the fault of other people's doing?

Stolas & Stella having a cold, loveless marriage that ended in him getting caught cheating (+Stella hiring a hit on him because of said cheating)? ...Well then clearly thats all Stella's fault for being a raging harpy from birth, so bitch got what she deserved when he dumped her ass, haha~

Stolas having a demeaning, belittling view on Imps (even around Blitz a few times in S1)? ...Well then that clearly was just the fault of his eeeevil dad Paimon, pushing the idea in his son's head from his kid years (who was so pure at heart enough that he wanted to bow to Blitz, when they met, awww~).

Stolas not being the most attentive father to Octavia, ignoring her feelings over & over? ...Well then clearly thats all on Via for not being grateful for the big, noble sacrifices Stolas put into loving her (esp as she apparently only exists to be a “precautionary heir” from his toxic marriage), and the fact that he's trying should be enough to forgive all his faults as the best dad ever~

Stolas being a pushy creep towards Blitz during their S1 dynamic, stepping over boundaries despite Blitz's clear discomfort? ...Well then that's clearly all on Blitz for being the one who put the moves on Stolas first, who was just a flustered bean from the start wanting to reconnect with his old buddy & gained true feelings overtime... why can't Blitz see how much Stolas loooooves him~? :ccc

...Aaaaand yeah, idk about yall but ehhhhh- I just couldn't really get into that angle the more I watched S2 :/. Not to say that Stolas’ last couple appearances were bad, per-say ('cause I did find his sassiness to Striker while kidnapped + his reading-enthusiasm with Ozzie's contract pretty funny)... buuut to make a long story short:

In all seriousness, I LOVE this game. The ONLY bad thing about it is that it's early access and therefore not complete, so I can't speedrun the damn thing. That and it'd be nice to have a gallery with all the CGs we've unlocked.

Sorry to out myself as a sick freak, if the DOL PC didn't reveal that already, but I love incest as a trope in horror (and other generes.... ;;;;). Because BOTH Andy and Leyley are horrible people, just in different ways, and they're so toxically codependent on each other.

No matter how much Andy protests, and as bitchy as she sounds when she brings it up, Andy DID choose to lock that girl in the box. Andy is the elder sibling, and as we find out in chapter 2, basically tasked with raising Leyley. He should have more power in their dynamic, and he mentions again and again that no matter how much he listens to her, she'll always throw a tantrum later on. Because he's basically taught her that if she does throw a tantrum, she'll get her way. I'm sure there might have been something wrong with her even as an infant. Some people just have brain chemistry that makes them difficult, but Andy absolutely contributed to the monster his sister became by giving her such power over him. He can blame it on her being annoying, but at the end of the day he is the one making the choice to listen to that annoyance.

And he was SUPER hesitant to try and make Ashely be more independent when his girlfriend brought it up. He doesn't want her to be independent anymore than she wants to be independent. As sick as it is, they both NEED each other.

That's what makes the incest dynamic so interesting. They share an unbreakable bond. No matter what, no matter how much they hate each other, no matter how much they love each other, they will ALWAYS be family. It's the appeal of never being able to be abandoned, of always having a connection to someone, of never being truly and completely alone.

I also think it's about understanding. They're both so incredibly fucked up, and the only person who could possibly understand them is the person who went through the same fucked up shit that made them into what they are today. People don't understand trauma they haven't experienced. There is just a fundamental disconnect between what people experience and what can be explained to someone else. It's the mortifying ordeal of being known, but it's not mortifying with them, because you know them too. You know each other, and no one could know you like they could and vice versa.

It's also about the cruelty of fate. The one person who can understand you, the one person who'll never abandon you, is the one person you can't entirely have. What makes your bond unbreakable is what makes the fruit just out of reach. It's having 90% of a person and NEVER being able to that that 10%. What makes them perfect for you is what makes them impossible for you.

The Coffin of Andy and Leyley is just such a fascinating game into the psychology of these two really fucked up, unfortunate characters. Life was so cruel to them. They had to seek comfort in each other, but hurt people hurt people, and they're locked in this constant cycle of being each other's only good thing in life and not having the mental/emotional maturity to actually fix anything that's wrong with them. They can't help each other, only soothe. But there's love there. There's so much love, and it's sad that love can't be healthy or accepted or even in some ways good for either of them! But there's love... It's important that there's love.

Pet Axolotl/ fish thing Leviathan

Our poor baby was neglected by his owners, not feeding him enough or taking care of him in the slightest. This lead to him looking dull and sickly and his owners degrading him for being ugly :(

His owners would leave him in his tank all by himself for days at a time with nothing to do..except watch the TV that they forgot to turn off. Colorful shows would come on and the main characters would dance around and sing about friendship and love. Two things that he desperately craves and needs.

Why doesn't he get that? Surely it's his fault. He isn't good enough. His tank is smelly, he's not colorful enough, his scales are shaped weird. Especially because the owners have a butler demon pet that can be out of a tank full of water for more than a few hours at a time without getting dehydrated or suffocating! His only job is to swim in circles and look pretty and he can't even do that right!

He's a freak!

That's what he's told as he's sold to some cruel pet store, they make an attempt to handle him but they put him in fresh water! They didn't know how to care for him and didn't want to have to wait around for him to die because that would be a waste of money.

So they call you!

Poor lil Levi struggling to comprehend why you think he's so pretty. He is so confused when you gently pet his hair or when a pebble gets lodged in his gills you pull them out! It isn't long before you let him out of the house to see the ocean, something he had only seen on TV. He still stays with you, but when you let him out of the tank in your house to go to the beach he's buzzing happily as he brings you shiny rocks he found under water.

The only downside (which I could never punish him for) is when he wants to snuggle your clothes get a bit damp and he cries easy if he feels like he did something wrong.

Levi getting his love of anime from watching the TV his owners left on is so cute! I can definitely see him learning about TV time slots and wait for his favorite shows to come on. It's the only thing he looks forward to :(

Levi getting so insecure because he feels like he doesn't deserve love.... I can definitely see Levi trying at first to "fix" the things that are "wrong" with him. He tries to clean his tank, and slowly peals off all the scales that look misshaped, and be more like their other pet. But nothing works and he believes that being worthless is just what he is. Why even try when he's just going to be gross no matter what?

Also, I saw you sneak Barbs into there! (Or at least, I think you're taking about Barbs when you mention a "butler demon"?) I can definitely see Barbs as someone who wants to help Levi, but he's been so conditioned to be Good and Obey that he can't force himself to.

So it's no surprise to Levi when he owners tell him that they're getting rid of him. It was only a matter of time before they get sick of him, Levi thinks. It doesn't surprise him when the pet store employees put him in the wrong tank. He doesn't even look like the demon hybrid he's supposed to.

When you show up he honestly thinks you're there to put him out of misery, though he can't deny the thought of death shakes him to his core.

So he's extremely surprised when you don't ditch him on the side of the round to rot. Instead you take him to your house and place him in a tank that's waaaaaay bigger than the one he was in at his old house. This must be some kind of mistake, right? You're surely not expecting him to go in *there*, right? Levi is afraid that he's going to somehow dirty up the tank just be being in it, and it takes some convincing before he actually goes in it.

Since his last tank was filthy Levi is probably covered in algae and grime. So you bring out a special brush and bring Levi into a smaller, special cleaning tank. Levi can hardly believe you're being so gentle as you scrub his tail with the brush. You don't even bother with your clothing, kneeling behind Levi as your clothing starts tonget wet. Everything feels so soft and warm that Levi momentarily relaxes, leaning into the feel of the brush.

It's a slow process to get Levi to be more comfortable around you, and it takes even longer for him to believe that he isn't unworthy of love.

Anime helps though, it look awhile but eventually Levi asks you what channel the "colorful pictures" are on, and now you two watch them together. What really helped was explaining to Levi that sometimes characters go though hardships, but they always meet with their friends and everything turns out ok, right? Now Levi keeps referring to his old owners as his "tragic backstory".

You're a bit worried about taking Levi to the beach. On one hand you're worried about predators, or him swimming too far away and getting lost, but another small part of you is worried that he'll leave you.

Levi never strays too far from you though, only swimming away from you to go grab more pretty rocks.

Levi would probably stress about getting our clothing wet whenever he snuggles up to us, but I would just dunk myself in water to prove to him that is does not matter, I just wanna cuddle <3

Arkhelios Adventures

"Luci, come hang out with me. I'm stuck in stupid Arkhelios and if I have to spend another minute listening to Grandma go on about planning for retirement, I just might snap."

Noelle looked pleadingly at her cousin, trying to look as sad as she possibly could. It had been effortless escaping the Helios lot that she would one day own, but escaping Arkhelios was another matter altogether. At least Luci lived in Arkhelios part time and had access to her computer, bedroom and makeup. While Noelle was stuck at her grandmother's house, she had access to none of those things and she was going stir crazy. Noelle was turning twelve soon and she begged her mother to let her stay home alone, but her mother wouldn't hear of it. Someone had to look after Mikel and Noelle wasn't responsible enough to watch him. Things would probably only worsen once her newest sibling was born. There was no way that Noelle was going to watch her half-demon siblings alone. As a human in a heavily demonic family, she had to look out for herself. 

"I can't, I have to practice," Luci replied. "The track meet is next month and the skating competition is two weeks away. If I don't practice now, I'll blow my chances for nationals this year."

Noelle scoffed. Luci was constantly on the move, running from sport to sport and competition to competition. There wasn't a weekend that she wasn't involved with at least one sport. It was a good thing that her father had money; Noelle knew from experience how expensive extracurriculars were and how hard it was to get a parent to pay for them.

"Get your dad to rig whatever event you're stressing over," Noelle suggested, earning a dirty look from her cousin. "Come hang out with me instead. We can flush Grandma's jewellery until the toilet breaks, she just got it fixed from last time. Or, even better, we could put sugar in the gas tank of her sports car! I'd love to see the look on that cow's face."

Luci laughed, rolling her eyes as she did.

"You're the worst, Nol. There's no way my dad could afford to fix the competition and there's no need. If I practice, first place is practically guaranteed, no money needed. It's what I like, just like senseless destruction seems to be your thing."

"There's nothing wrong with making things interesting," Noelle countered. "Things are interesting in Pleasantview and I manage just fine. It's just stupid Arkhelios and Grandma's dumb house. Why can't my mom leave us with someone in Pleasantview when she has to work? She's only married to the freaking devil, you'd think she would have money to pay someone else to look after her kids."

"I think things are interesting here," Luci protested. "I mean, my dad and Evren's house is nicer and on the beach, but there's still plenty to do in Arkhelios. There's the soccer team you could join if you want. Osbert is a really good coach and we usually win."

"Bleh, no thanks," Noelle scoffed, looking horrified at the idea. "I don't run unless I have to. My make up might get ruined."

"Well, we could see what Rien's up to," Luci suggested. "I'm sure she's helping Dad in the kitchen. You know how he gets this time of year."

Noelle's face immediately brightened at the thought.

"Is it maniacal baking day already? What do you think he's making? Cake? Cookies?"

Luci frowned.

"You shouldn't say things like that," she scolded. "It's not nice."

"It doesn't have to be nice if it's true. We all know why your dad freaks out and turns the house into a bakery this time of year."

Luciana frowned.

"If Ulyssa wasn't such a bitch, she would at least let him meet Georgiana. I mean we all know about her anyway. Why else would he be obsessively making birthday cakes on her birthday and dropping them off at the Durant house?"

"So there is cake?" Noelle asked. "Arkhelios isn't all that bad when it has gourmet cakes to eat."

"Oh my god, Nol. No wonder your mom abandons you here, you're feral. At least try to not upset my dad while you're here. You're too much like your mom sometimes. Maybe if you were nicer, your other mom or dad would have stuck around to raise you. Leave my dad alone and eat some cake before you scare off Aunt Lucy too."

With that, Luciana turned her back to her cousin and headed towards the rink in the yard to practice. Noelle stood stunned in silence. Luciana's words were harsh, but Theo was hardly the only Bellamy to say mean spirited things when provoked. Luciana was far more direct with her anger; it was something that Noelle respected her for. She could handle any anger directed at her and give it right back to her cousin. Luciana was just the kind of girl that Noelle could handle. The two could say horrible things to each other, spend ten minutes cooling down and then hang out happily together.

"This one's ready to go! Come box this up for me, Abe."

Roman admired his work. The Durants were going to love this year's offerings. Every year, Jorah donated Roman's baked goods to charitable causes. He did keep some items for his own family, but the vast majority went to fundraise for the orphans in Strangetown. On this day every year, Jorah would accept the baked goods, separate a cake or two for his family to share over dinner that night and send the rest off. It was sheer coincidence that this day also marked the occasion of Princess Georgiana's birthday and the annual gathering of the entire Durant family to celebrate. Whatever Jorah kept from the baked goods would grace the plate of Princess Georgiana herself and so Roman laboured to make his deserts high quality to satisfy her royal taste buds while also encouraging sales for the needy.

Roman frowned as he cracked another egg on the side of his new bowl.

"This could be the year you change things, Dad. There's an opportunity opening, one that could shift the family dynamics."

Roman jolted out of his focus on a bowl of flour to see his daughter watching him intently.

"Rien! You startled me. Hand me that hand towel, some vanilla spilled over here."

Out of all of his children, Adrienne was by far the quietest. No one saw her coming, or noticed her lurking in the shadows of the house, watching her family. She was quieter than even Too, an actual cat. Roman found the behaviour unsettling, but there was no correcting it. Adrienne was simply a quiet child, unlike most of her siblings. Nothing escaped her watchful eyes, and more often than not, Roman caught his daughter murmuring quietly to herself. She was his grandmother's spitting image behaviourally, though he never quite remembered Malika being quite as socially odd. Maybe his daughter would one day gain the social skills of his grandmother, but until then, Roman had resigned himself to being startled when Adrienne revealed herself.

"Rien, you really can't say things like that," he sighed. "It's a complicated situation, things aren't as easy as they seem to someone your age."

"The spirits wish you were more observant, Dad. There's so much that they want you to know. They want to get to know you, the same way they've gotten to know me."

"Honey, I don't understand all of that and I don't think I'd be any good at it," he replied with a small sigh. "My grandmother was the only one in our family with a connection to these spirits and sometimes I wonder if they really have your best interests at heart when they tell you things. Maybe you should talk with Aunt Wanda if she has the time. She might know more about the occult than I would. Or ask Adam's father the next time he comes to pick up Adam. Please? Just get a second opinion, that's all I ask."

Roman couldn't be sure, but he thought he saw his daughter give him the same horrifying look that Theo usually gave him on weekends home from school. The infamous "I know so much more than you and you don't even realize it" look. Adrienne didn't hold the glare for nearly as long as her brother did, but it felt just as patronizing.

"Sure," she agreed. "I'll do that, Dad. But if I do ask someone for their opinion, then it's only fair that you do the same. You ask someone you think would know about the spirit world and see what they say. Or better yet, why don't you try contacting the spirits themselves? You could borrow my tarot deck."

It was a fair idea, and one that Roman couldn't think of a way of refusing. It wouldn't hurt anything to take out his grandmother's tarot cards and see what happened. Probably nothing, knowing his luck, but if it was that important to his daughter, then Roman would give it a chance.

"Okay, we have a deal," he declared, stirring ingredients in his pot as he spoke. "Now why don't you come help me grease this pan so we can get these cookies in the oven?"

Astarion

Artemis: His skills are useful. I like his drive, but he could do to gain some sort of moral fiber rather than just seeking amusement.

Astrophel: Oh, he's the best. I would like to know more about him, but I get the feeling that the two of us are too alike for an honest conversation.

Azriel: Hm... he's a hunter in his own right. I can respect that... he also has a pretty good sense of humor.

Kieran: He's odd and livelier than most undead that I've met. I don't know how to feel about it, but he's nice, I think. He's sneaky sneaky, too.

Shadowheart

Artemis: Her devotion is admirable, but I wish she would allow herself... something more while she has her whole life ahead of her.

Astrophel: A kind and devoted soul. I... feel a little bad for her, the gods, especially ones as petty as Shar, rarely reward such things, but as long as she's happy, then whatever.

Azriel: She's a nice person and a good friend to have.

Kieran: Her goddess freaks me out, but she's nice. I like helping her heal the others.

Gale

Artemis: An ambitious wizard is hardly a novelty, but straj, he'd put a lot of them to shame. Whether that's good or bad remains to be seen.

Astrophel: Oh, he's a delight. Normally not entirely fond of wizards, but he's nice to listen to. Hm, wonder if he'd loan me any books...

Azriel: He's smart, but he's not the wisest guy there is, huh....

Kieran: ...I don't think he likes me or thinks much about me, but I... wanna get along with him. ...maybe learn a few words, too...

Lae'zel

Artemis: She's a devoted warrior. I... don't exactly trust her goddess. Vlaakith isn't like my father's goddess, but I can't help but be unsettled by an entire race showing one deity such reverence.

Astrophel: I knew a githyanki, once, before I met her... he was... very different than how she is, not sure they'd get along. That said, she's one of the more unique souls I've ever met.

Azriel: Heh, I like her style.

Kieran: ...I want to know about the funeral rites of her people, just in case.

Karlach

Artemis: Heh, she's strong... very strong. I want to aid her in getting her heart fixed in whatever way I can. Someone like her is worth facing the hells for.

Astrophel: Oh, she's... wow. The better poets would have a field day writing about her, as they should, really. She deserves to be immortalized, I think.

Azriel: I'm really glad she isn't dead, and I'll do whatever I can to keep her from begin dead.

Kieran: She's fun! ...I'll be sad when that weird thing goes out.

Wyll

Artemis: He's an honorable man, one of the best I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. He will regain some of what he has lost. I will make sure of it.

Astrophel: ...at least he sold his soul for an honorable cause, but I'm sure there is a loophole in his contract somewhere...

Azriel: I don't think much of the noble prince thing he has going for him, but he isn't a bad person to know.

Kieran: When he passes, he will be honored greatly by everyone who's lives he played a part in. There are few that can attest to the same.

Halsin

Artemis: A wise man. I'd seek out his council on most matters.

Astrophel: He's unique, I'll give him that. He's the type of elf that has a lot of stories to tell, and I'd love to hear his most interesting.

Azriel: His connection to the earth is admirable...

Kieran: He's wise and respects the natural order of things. I can respect that, though... do I wonder if he would... make a little wooden duck for me...

Minthara

Artemis: She was wise to reject Lolth, but I do not trust her. My honor is unstained and my hands are ready to deliver justice for all that she has slain... but everyone deserves a chance at redemption, even those like her.

Astrophel: As lovely and twice as deadly as the most lethal of nightshades... I do not envy anyone that invokes her ire, but if she calls me a faerie again, I'm stabbing her in her sleep.

Azriel: Deadly and loyal, a good mix.

Kieran: She reminds me a little of those in the cult of Myrkul I knew... calculated and cruel, but she's different in the fact that she'll at least kill while the enemy can fight back sometimes.

Jaheira

Artemis: A just and stern soul. My mother used to read me stories about her when I was still a child. Words do not do her justice.

Astrophel: Others of my profession tell such tall tales of her, but I must admit, her actual story seems far more interesting.

Azriel: She knows my true nature and allows me to live anyway... it's more than I deserve, probably.

Kieran: She'll live forever in the hearts of many for her heroic deeds from before and now... though, for her sake, I hope the bards get it right this time.

Minsc/Boo

Artemis: He's a warrior, and I would hope to spar against him one day.

Astrophel: Well, his hamster is adorable, but I'm not so sure what to think about the man himself. He's an honest soul, and those usually don't associate with the likes of me.

Azriel: ...I don't know how to feel about him calling himself my uncle, honestly.

Kieran: Boo is cute, but uh... Minsc... worries me.

Artemis

Astrophel: Ah, the noble, just paladin... truly the heroine of a great tale of chivalry and honor... forgive me if I fall asleep halfway through.

Azriel: Her thirst for spider's blood is only matched by her love of shiny things. Just need to keep her focus on our enemies.

Kieran: She's kind... I really like her. She gave me rocks that were kind of shiny that I like to keep with some bones I thought were neat.

Astrophel

Artemis: He's a more prolific liar than poet, and it shows. Though, whatever he's hiding, he doesn't seem to want to harm anyone.

Azriel: He's useful for his charms, but I prefer Alfira over him.

Kieran: He likes to tell me stories about all sorts of things... he said he's going to teach me to read when we get time, but I doubt he'll be able to.

Azriel

Artemis: If we can keep his bloodlust focused on the enemy rather than on us, then he is an asset. Should he lose control, though... I will put him to the sword.

Astrophel: I don't trust him, but I don't dislike him either. He... tries, so I'll support him... but he'll have to forgive me if I'm not eager to get too close after the last bard he was left alone with.

Kieran: Unnatural death follows him like a shadow... he is a killer, but he is kind, too. I don't know what to think about it all, but he is strong enough to fight his own demons...

Kieran

Artemis: I have... never thought I would meet a cleric who does not know the name of the god they serve... nor one that was so flippant about life and death.

Astrophel: I've never met someone so blunt before, but it adds to some of his charm... They just need to learn to read, and I'm sure they'll be... well, not better, but maybe more articulate.

Azriel: He's wiser than his naivety would imply. I would trust them to bury me with the greatest care and not much else.

Stupid fucking cowboy. I just can't feel bad for him. He did this to himself. Asking for forgiveness doesn't fix what he did wrong. It doesn't undo the damage. Even apologizing for his hateful attitude and cruel words in the last chapter kinda fell flat. So I for one am glad that Mom said no to them getting back together. Yes forgiveness is absolutely possible but it's like breaking a plate. It doesn't undo the brokenness.

I am curious where you're headed with her already having someone else in the wings. Clearly not someone Wyatt has met yet? Although I doubt that Jack will ever do anything to ever risk Wyatt's happiness. And he should be the one allowed to make his confession to Wyatt when he's old enough. That sort of thing is necessary in order to minimize the damage it might do to their relationship. Keeping it a secret would be wrong and a potential landmine.

I dunno if you've been paying attention to the latest drama in the fandom but some looney posted something on insta about being heartbroken by Pedro and it was so vague with so little detail as to how she and her friend approached him and how she was apparently rejected that I'm sure Pedro is in the right, but it makes me sad. I knew all those wild fan sightings and selfies and him saying how he likes it when people recognize him (admittedly this was in interviews before he got huge, it was Agent Whiskey days, lol) were going to come back and bite him in the ass. All the attention boosts his ego, he ate it up, he was so nice and accommodating and of course this attracts someone who thinks it's a good idea to cross countries and spend thousands of dollars on the outside chance she gets a celebrity encounter. But he didn't know all that background, he doesn't know her from anyone. And if she shouted it at him I'm sure it freaked him out. But anyway, the reason it makes me sad is because this is what happened in the last fandom I was in, and the attention pretty much poisoned that celebrity's relationship with his fandom and really ruined it. I really hope it doesn't happen to Pedro. Sigh.

Angst Anon (tonight the angst is self directed, apparently 😭🤣😏)

Aww Jack did so wrong with reader and Wyatt he still has a long way to pay and suffer the consequences of his actions. I think reader is really good for letting him in as the father of her son because as she said herself in the story, Wyatt already loves him, so she would be fighting a lost battle. Now, about their future is still uncertain, I don't think we will get to the point in the story where they will tell Wyatt what happened because that'd require him being older and I don't plan on doing time skips that could be that long, but I guess it doesn't matter who tells him the truth, it won't change the fact his heart will break. I also haven't thought much about reader's boyfriend, but that will be developed better in the upcoming chapters, that's for sure.

Now, about the whole Pedro drama from yesterday, I have to strongly disagree with you, anon. Absolutely none of that was Pedro's fault, just because he is nice accessible to his fans, it gives creepy people like that woman no right to treat him like landmark or object they can visit at any time they please. Honestly, I think Pedro is a SAINT for taking so much bullshit from people who claim to be his fans and won't respect him and the harassment of the media. But that woman, was another level. First of all, she started her text by stating she had traveled across countries just to see him, apparently she had a gift ready to hand him and she claimed to have painted her nails his favorite colors I mean please wtf and then, when people commented on her post, accusing her of being a stalker she got offended and contradicted herself by saying she was in Malta to visit friends. Her ~friend~ was a guy who had already taken a pic with Pedro there a couple of weeks ago, so they were obviously stalking him around the spots the guy knew Pedro usually hangs out during his free time.

Then, her claims of him being rude were absolutely ridiculous, whenever someone asked her how he'd been rude to her, or how she had approached him, she didn't explain at all, which is a clear sign to me that never happened at all or she was just manipulating the facts about how it happened.

I personally don't believe Pedro would be rude to her, because he isn't rude to anyone, I honestly believe she really thought she would have a fanfiction kind of experience and that he would flatter and flirt with her or something like that, and even if he were rude to her, I would totally support him because she definitely deserve it.

And then as if doing that to him while he was trying to enjoy his day off in peace, she tags him and his hair stylist (!!!) on a painfully embarrassing public post saying he BROKE HER HEART as if he were her cheating husband or something, and dude, that wasn't just a delusional teen girl, that was a DELUSIONAL WOMAN, who should have known better than to travel just to stalk a celebrity because she thinks she owns him

Apparently he had security guards because it seems it happened the same day he was seen with Joseph Quinn (? I guess that's his name? Anyway Eddie Munson from Stranger Things) so that's a relief because we never know what another person is planning, this woman was probably harmless, but we don't know anything about other people who might decide to stalk him. Thank you dear nonny, I apologize that I made you upset! Clearly I just don't know enough about this subject, and obviously have bias by the situation I am in too. But it's so tough when people look to you to make a statement immediately, you know? If you don't say anything quick enough, people get fucking furious and say you're ignoring it. I had anons within hours of that tweet saying I support literal genocide because I had posts on cf which is absolutely ridiculous. Ok, started off with the video bc apparently I love to torture myself.

Skulduggery and Valkyrie Enamle Pins

Fuck these are ugly. What's going on with Skulls mouth? He be like OMO he looks lost. Meanwhile Val has no eyebrows and forehead for days plus her outfit could do with a little more detail.

The shape of the actual pin is not only ugly AF (at least make it symmetrical or something for fucks sake) it also gotta be unpleasant to the touch with how spiky it is.

For a fix, honestly just let Jaime (pin maker) do them in the same style as the "Shadow and Bone" ones bc these are freaking gorgeous.

If you want something more in the noir-ish style of SP you could also shade the faces like in the mini artworks the old SP books used to have at the beginning of each chapter instead of leaving them completely blank. I can't find pics of that online but it was like a darkest dungeon kinda style.

Midnight Hotel Keychain/Bag Charm

Once again, no points for creativity. Hotel/Motel keychains are pretty popular and Vograce even has their own category for it. But it looks pretty amazing. The pic of the hotel looks good, love the gradient on it, the font is gorgeous. I'm also really digging the silver and blue colours. The only thing that needs to go is the mini skull charm bc it's ugly as fuck.

Hibernian Cinema Keychain/Bag Charm

Oh, I really like this one! I haven't seen a lot of keychains in ticket form and I think this old school ticked design looks quite quaint. Again the pic of the cinema looks good and the font fits perfectly, the colours harmonise and are pleasant to look at.

Mini Skull Charm

I hate this. Landy drew this in 5 seconds in MS Paint, didn't he? I showed this to my mom and she insists it looks like a sad little ghost no matter how much I try to explain to her it's the top half of a skull.

That one point is just a pity point for the effort.

That skull looks like it was traced from a photo by someone who doesn't even know what the word 'line dynamic' means. The random texture on it makes it look dirty and its grin is derpy AF. The colours clash with each other, especially the yellow of the 'kind of' looks way too saturated and out of place. Visually it's just a mess. Also the colours are kinda too dark, especially the blue. The red colours need more contrast between font and book colour. Rule of thumb, if you print it tends to turn out darker than expected.

Plus the fonts(s) are weird. They don't seem to fit SP, instead they make me think of "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory"??

Not a critique point but bc Tanith likes to read it would have been cool if her sword would have been leaning against it. What also would have been cool, different book stack bookmarks for different characters. With their own quotes and colour schemes.

Here is an example of a bock-stack-quote from the LitPinsAndCo website.

The colours harmonize and the fonts are different but they all fit to each other. Simple but nice book design. It's just pleasant to look at.

I tried to do a REALLY QUICK quick fix to show you what I mean. Added detail to the skull, lightened the colours and tried to harmonize them with a gradient map set to colour with lowered opacity.

Still doesn't look great, but I refuse to spend more than 5 min on it. But you get my point, right?

There are no pictures for these either. I would have really hoped at least the page would actually be complete prior to launch :/ on the other hand, I don't like waiting so I actually do prefer quick over complete.

Conclusion

I'm not going to pledge to the Kickstarter personally since I don't actually want any of the items. You know me, I just want nasty boi stuff.

The only ones that turned out good were the ones designed by a professional. Since neither Landy nor Laura are artists I don't understand why they insisted on making official merchandise designs. This is just an ego trip for them again, isn't it?

You know this is the kinda shit I mean when I say Landy is the biggest weak spot of SP. His own ego keeps getting in the way. Laura is just as bad and probably enabling him. I also feel that with this he kinda wants to self-validate himself and 'prove wrong' those that kicked him out of animation school/people that said he is a bad artist.

He needs to let go of his ego and let the professionals take over when he is out of his depth.

It's also about Jonathan himself-Jonathan is just a very under appreciated, loveable, adorable little gumdrop that deserves all the love and appreciation in the world [that usually doesn't get it] and he is a character that I can't get enough of.

I really appreciate his character how hes the moral compass that chooses love over power everytime and stays true to himself. How he just wants to take care of everyone else and does everything in his power to make sure those he loves happy and well cared for.

How he is proud to be a freak even when most of Hawkins tells him its not acceptable. How he thinks for himself and doesn't think how people tell him to-like Hawkins is homophobic, but not Jonathan, he thinks what makes you different makes you beautiful and special. Hes really accepting of people who are considered the freaks and weirdos/he thinks for himself and appreciates what makes them so unique. How he grew up in a place like Hawkins where people think being unique is some type of sin, but Jonathan thinks that is the greatest thing about someone.

How he leads everyone he comes in contact with to be the best version of themselves and thats canon [Will, Steve, Nancy, ext ext]. Hes really wise for his age and has been through the most awful things in life and yet all that pain and suffering just made him kinder/more loving and he leads all the lost people down the right path in life.

How he could have been like his dad and chose to continue the cycle of abuse, but instead did everything in his power to not be like Lonnie/overcame his own trauma built himself up everything he accomplished there he did that on his own. He chose to be the exact opposite of Lonnie and made it his personal mission in life to protect Will to love him to devote his life to making sure Will always happy, well cared for, and remind Will constantly that is loved and Will is the most important person to him in the world that he would do anything for.

He also loves the weirdos that aren't appreciated in a place like Hawkins. He is such a rare find in Hawkins and has this completely different mindset to a lot of the people there so those people that don't get the love and respect they deserve either-Jonathan fixes that and makes it his mission in life to show them they matter more than anyone.

The ships are usually this hurt/comfort love fest that has a lot of drama and depressing elements to it that turns into some sort of love fest where Jonathan completely adores the other person and they adore him just as much. It's always this emotional rollercoaster with almost every ship. You could be feeling sad and sorry for Jonathan in one chapter and then happy crying in the next when that someone shows Jonathan that he has no clue how loved and appreciated he really is. Almost every Jonathan ship if not all of them always are a rollercoaster of emotions. It makes those ships really compelling and leaves you thirsty for more.

This is the 1st time Arnav openly defends Khushi, he gets now annoyed when someone disrespect her in front of him.

He thinks she's gonna comeback, and he has no intention to fire her. I think he also decided to forget about challenging her with no limits. He wants to let her stay with him, but of course, he'll pretend it's for the money she owns him.

I think Arnav decided to start letting Khushi see him a bit more without the Asr persona. He was waiting for her return to start a new dynamic between them. He doesn't want her to feel disrespected because of him.

From now on, he'll feel very umconfortable when Lavanya touch him. He's falling in love with someone else, he now feels like he's cheating on Khushi lol

He doesn't seem that bother to maintain a distant with Khushi while in fact Lavanya is HIS girlfriend. And therefore, in that matter, Arnav is indeed a hypocrite.

"- I'm unable to handle you. Anjali litteraly beging his brother to let love enter his heart, bless her. She's feeling hopeless about how Arnav is getting stuck in his mask (Asr).

Arnav doesn't even show her everything that he is, he makes sure she rarely sees his bad side but she is telling him now how overwhelmed she's is. She's overwhelmed while still not knowing how dark he can be. I can now really understand why Arnav treats his sister with so much cautious.

She can't handle the truth, his truth, how dark he became because of his trauma, and how she can't fix him no matter what. He's the one who is protecting her. No matter Anjali's efforts, indeed she can't protect him ... from himself ! Him not allowing himself to be honest and really himself in front of her is also due to his fear to get abandonned. She is the closest family member he has left, and therefore, he doesn't want to give her unecessary reasons to want to give up on him.

She is herself broken and had been put in the position of a mother figure to her little brother because her parents k'lled themselves. But she failed in that position cause poor girl is unable to be a mother to anyone yet.

Her mental health is in a very bad condition too. Arnav developped a personality disorder but Anjali developed an affective dependance. She needs the approval and the positive judgment of others (from people she loves) that she is doing right.

If she feels that she isn't doing a good job at the position her parents forced her to be in, she will freak out and question her whole life. For her to feel like she is not a failure, that she's worthy to be loved, and not abandonned (like her parents did to her and her borther) she needs approval.

And that approval she is always desparate to get is always linked with her social "position" : a sister that should behave like a mother and therefore fulfill the emotional hole their parents caused in Arnav but also a wife that have to make her husband happy, to prove that by having herself with Shyam an healthy marriage, she is able to psychological repair of the damage the marriage of his parents caused on her and her mental state.

And I do feel like she also might had some suc*dal thoughts before, which would explain why Arnav refuses to reveal himself fully to her.

He only shows himself to her as choete, but choete already grew up, in a complex and dark human being. And she sees how Asr acts with others without being able to actually understand who is Arnav fully. And it's because he hides the truth from her, who he really is, who he is fully. A broken soul.

It's very sad actually and makes us understand even more how lonely he is, cause he's the younger one, but he can't actually depend on her as an older sister, someone who is supposed to be more responsible than him, someone who should be able to share the burden of the weight of the after-effects of his trauma.

He can't even be a little brother to her, he's more like his father and/or big brother to her in reality. She is not mature enough and she also has to deal with her own trauma.

I think he knows Khushi is the only one who actually has this power to handle him. But he went too far to the point of making her wants to leave him. That's why he will get very lost when he'll watch her leave, leave him.

He'll think that he lost the only person who could not only handle him, but that he could be willing to let her handle him.

- Sister, you never, never ever have whether its mom or dad, you never let me feel their absence." I think he lied here. He lied because he can't bear to see her feel this hopeless.

When he interacts with Khushi, she is giving him the only real moments when his past doesn't dare to enter his mind. It only happens when she bring up somthing that will make him remember this past, but she does it cause at this stage, she has no idea what happened to fully.

"I can go to any extent just to see you happy" exactly, even lying to her ! Barun Sobti's acting in this scene was incredible.

And yeah, Its gonna suck and make you feel horrible if its over but its not like those past memories of joy don't matter anymore. Yk when you lose a friend, and you're devastated and spending time wishing to fix all that went wrong, that doesn't mean that all those times when you laughed and hanged out with them went to waste. The present matters. You were happy then and you can be happy again. Theres no need to waste time doing srs tarot readings about content creators lives.
