FRIDAY THE 13TH: THE FINAL CHAPTER (1984)
Ah, and so begins the journey of little Tommy Jarvis. Although throughout most of the movie, he only seems like some charcater only there to break up scenes, he ends up being very important. It's too bad because his character in this film was so annoying. This is one of the Friday the 13th movies I don't really care for. The cast for this installment just doesn't seem to have the same chemistry with each other as previous casts, and that makes it a harder watch for me. Tommy isn't the only annoying character in this film. 95% of the characters in his film annoyed the hell out of me with their actions and reactions. I guess, in a way, it made it more gratifying to see them get the ax. The gore was mediocre at best, as were most of the kills. I did like the corkscrew kill, but that's the only stand out to me. It is easy to point at this film as the clear beginning of the desent in the quality of this film series. It's a real shame because Friday the 13th was one of the first horror films I watched, and it really introduced me to my love of horror
