LGBT gorillaz HCs

2D doesnt really identify with any specific gender identity but for sake of understanding, the closest ones would be agender and genderfluid

he just doesnt really give a shit about pronouns either bc gender doesnt exist anyway (shrug emoji) but Noodle uses they pronouns for him as a way to acknowledge his identity and help him feel validated.

Russel does too, but not as often just bc 2D comes to him when they needs to talk and knows that they're impartial.

One time Noodle and Russel used she pronouns for 2D for a whole day just to confuse Murdoc

Murdoc started correcting himself within the hour, and later pulled D aside to ask if thats what they were going by now

D explained and Murdoc awkwardly tells him he suppprts him and to just let him know if he wants to change 'nouns or names or.... Whatever.

It was super awkward and everyone was a little surprised he was so honest

But its because:

Murdoc is a trans man

(And also super duper bisexual but that wasnt a secret)

No one in the band knew for a long ass time bc he hates talking about it. As you can imagine his dad wasnt too happy about his identity so Mudz has some trouble with accepting himself

But he forgot to pick up his T from the pharmacy one time so he had to stop on their way back from a party or something

Everyone could read the lable but no one said anything

The next week Noodle offers to pick it up for him while shes out and Murdoc almost lost his damn mind but shes really casual about it

It makes him feel more comfortable and slowly he realizes that none of them give a shit. For fucks sake, Stu doesnt even have a gender, why would they think any less of him?

Hes able to talk about some of the aspects of trans-ness with 2D but never too in depth. Not their business.

But he does notice that D stops teasing him about his height after that

Noodle is bisexual but most men are assholes so she is more inclined to women/enbys

Super vocal about lgbt rights and yells at murdoc for being heteronormative

Russel is attracted more to individuals than the whole guys/gals thing

So pan? Pan. Also hes demisexual

Noodle came out first and russ followed suit in a show of support

They discuss gender politics and how much they hate Drumf often and loudly

Russel is Noodles wingman

Russ does drag every other weekend at a nearby club, and even convinces D to do a duet a few times while noodle cheers them on.

Noodle Russ and Stu started going to pride very year and it becomes a tradition

Noodle wears the lesbian and bi flags bc theyre both so pretty. She is completely decked out in fish nets, crop top, pumps, face paint etc.

Stu usually opts for the queer flag since its so broad and they fucking love the colors. Wears a mesh shirt and suspenders and so many damn pins. Gets his face painted like six different times.

Russ is a little more low-key. He wears a pan colored shirt and some rainbow bracelets and stickers, but mostly he carries around the backpack with water and snacks bc his friends are idiots and always loose theirs.

Russ participates in multiple drag shows. Noodle and Stu love helping him get ready, but Stu doesnt join bc "this is your stage"

after Murdoc quietly stepped out of the closet, no one expects him to go, but hes butted himself in to "see if its really that ridiculous in person." Besides, lots of pretty birds (and bees) are going to be there huehuehue

He wears all black and exactly one bisexual pin that he barrowed from Noodle, and mostly stands to the side and mopes and complains that its too hot

But then he wanders off and the next time the band sees him hes shirtless and has each of his flags wrapped around his wrists and small but genuine smile

When they tease him about how he hadnt wanted to go at first he ignores them and downs more alcohol. Hes having the time of his damn life.

When Russ's big show roles along, Murdoc is stunned by the getup and cheers louder than his two friends combined

"Wait THATS Russel???... Makeup is bloody witchcraft, holy shit."
