Catherine: "Hehe… Oh, I know it hurts. It hurts so much. But it hurt for me too. What's wrong with a bit of revenge? Doesn't matter if you weren't here for it. I just need to take my suffering out on something."

Mummy Dog: "Daddy, why do they hate us? Did we do something wrong?" Mummy Papa: "No… No, we didn't. The world is just awfully cruel sometimes."

First ill do Wulfe's opinion on the residents (His name is Wulfe now to make him different from me)

Gregory - Wulfe's beloved husband <3 When they got married everyone in the house was forced to go Or Else. Also they were required to bring gifts.

James - Wulfe kinda encourages James' mischief and is very nice to him(And all the kids! He had a rough childhood so he wants the kids in the house to have at least moderatly good ones) and I think James is hype when Wulfe and Gregory get married because James is like YESSS A COOL GRANDPA FINALLY

Gregory's Mama - In order to get married, Gregory insisted that they get his mother's blessing </3 Wulfe was like "Oh this is NOT gonna go well." and Yeah, at first it didn't. But she finally relented like FINE Gregory. Wulfe avoids her as much as possible. Talk about weird in-laws...

Judgement Boy - He does NOT like introspection so he will plug his ears and go LALALA NOT LISTNING when Judgement Boy does his thing.

Mummy Papa - I think Papa is glad that he can leave his son in Wulfe's care if he needs to rest <:) He's happy Wulfe is so nice to his son! I think they get along well. Wulfe is chronically ill as well so they can relate over that too.

Catherine - She actually has no interest in taking blood from him, at all. They don't talk much but are civil to each other when they do!

Cactus Gunman - Wulfe has a resting bitch face, so I feel like Cactus Gunman is just. NOT very fond of Wulfe, scared even.

Cactus Girl - Absolutely pissed at Wulfe 24/7 for scaring her brother -_- Even though Wulfe is like "I prommy I just look like this 24/7 Im not doing it on purpose" but he is Still scared of her. She just does not take kindly to anyone who is mean to her brother, on purpose or not.

Neko Zombie - Wulfe tries to pretend Neko Zombie doesn't exist. It's better that way.

Hell's Chef - Hell's Chef wants Wulfe to STOP getting cravings in the middle of the night!!! Though he is at least glad Wulfe loves meat so much...Wulfe won't even ask what kind of meat it is, which is for the best.

TV Fish - Wulfe has no interest, that fish has NO meat on his bones </3

Clock Master - Even though My Son likes Wulfe(All the kids do!) I think Clock Master still is very critical of Wulfe. Wulfe gets super disoriented by his time powers so he just kinda...either avoids him or is as nice as possible to avoid it.

My Son - Wulfe sometimes does art group for the kids in the hotel, they all love it! My Son will often do pictures of his dad. Wulfe also provides snacks for the kids and gets them all specific things!

Mummy Dog - Wulfe is sometimes entrusted to take care of Mummy Dog! He LOVES that- he thinks Wulfe is so fun to be around!

The Guest - Wulfe's horror show involves Wulfe going "Let me paint your portrait!" and when he does, he shows it to the Guest who faints from how Scary it is (The Viewer does not see the drawing!)

Sleepy Sheep - LITERALLY Wulfe’s adopted son. He loves and cares him so much.

Before The Nightmare

(A collection of the backstories of certain guests before they arrived at Gregory House. Headcanon mostly.)

Neko Zombie - Formerly Miru Nekoyama. Family were immigrants from Japan and were pretty much driven out of their home by racist bullying. He originally arrived with both parents. When the family got the suspicion that something was up with Gregory House, they planned to leave. Neko Zombie was the only survivor of their escape attempt.

Lost Doll - Formerly Katherine/"Katie". Parents were extremely strict and expected her to inherit the family business. They wouldn't let her do anything that didn't involve the pursuit of that or associate with people outside her social class. She held in a lot of built-up anger and resentment towards them for that, but them throwing out her beloved doll was what made her snap and run away to Gregory House.

Hell Chef - Formerly Fachnan. Grew up in an abusive and overly critical household and developed anger issues as a result. Attempting to host his dream restaurant after cutting ties with them, he didn't have many customers despite his delicious food, due to his fear of criticism causing him to lash out at anyone who had the slightest problem with his cooking. Eventually, he decided he was in need of serious help, and went searching for a place to work so he could get enough money to afford therapy. Unfortunately, he ended up at Gregory House.

Catherine - Sexually harassed by her co-workers at the hospital she worked at. When it became too much to handle, she searched for a new workplace and came across Gregory House. While staying there, her bottled-up resentment at everything her old co-workers put her through got worse and worse, until she snapped and began re-enacting her abuse on everyone around her.

Mummy Dog/Mummy Papa - Formerly Jiemba/"Jimmy" and Jarrah. Grew up having their health concerns brushed off by most doctors because of their racial identity. When Mummy Mama (formerly Medika) became terribly ill, both were desperate to find a doctor that would treat her, leading them to Gregory House.

Judgement Boy - Formerly known as Justinan. Teased and belittled throughout his law school years for being openly autistic. He tried to put up with it all without a fuss, but eventually he burnt out and decided he needed a break to clear his head, leading him to Gregory House.

Cactus Gunman - Formerly named Jorge. Led a revolution against a drug cartel that went horribly wrong. Fled his country from the shame of it all and ended up at Gregory House.

TV Fish - Formerly Ayu Koiyama. Worked as a psychologist that tried so hard to be a listening ear for those in suffering that they burnt themself out. Despite venturing to Gregory House for a break, they ended up continuing their work until they became so wrapped up in others's trauma that they lost their sense of identity.

Public Phone - Prankster deviant who acted out for attention. He was sent there on a dare.

Clock Master & My Son - Formerly Shuji and Maino Hisataka. Clock Master is a former physicist who turned to drinking after his work began to become more and more discredited. He regrets not spending time with his son before he became such a mess and feels as if he let him down, though My Son doesn't mind taking care of him.

Frog Fortune Teller - Was a spiritualist who ran away to Gregory House after the mass drowning of her family.

Roulette Boy - Formerly named Chauncey. Parents neglected him in favor of working at their casino, leading to him running away to Gregory House in the hopes that he would find some attention there.

Mutant Ducks - A pair of teens trying to build a theme park, without any prior training. They ran off to Gregory House after the first test-run of their rollercoaster killed everyone on board.

Mirror Man - Was in an abusive marriage, where his spouse played the part of a loving partner so well that nobody believed him when he tried to speak out about the abuse.

Kinko & Inko - A pair of lovers who eloped due to their parents disapproving of their relationship.

Angel/Devil Dog - Formerly named Charmeine/Cozbi. Was abused and bullied horribly throughout her childhood, and eventually developed a split personality to strike back at her tormentors.

Dead Bodies - A bunch of extremely burnt-out salarymen who regret wasting their lives working.

Judgement Boy Gold - Formerly named Joachim, deadname is Astraia. Was a famous lawyer until a scandal about his past ruined his reputation. Fled to Gregory House in an attempt to regain his bearings, so that he could one day have the clarity to fix his sullied reputation.

James - Abused by his mother, despite his father's attempts to protect him. He eventually ran away to Gregory House for refuge.

Sleepy Sheep - Formerly named Nemuri Fukuoka. Suffered from nightmares constantly due to the stress of their past experiences.

Bonsai Kabuki - Formerly named Aimo Sakurai. Was a relationship counsellor that became too invested in his clients' lives.

Cactus Girl - Formerly named Camila. Came to Gregory House searching for her brother, knowing how ashamed he was after the fallout of his revolution.

Poor Conductor - Formerly named Allegro. Was a promising composer that fell into a depression after the death of his wife. Went to Gregory House to have time to cope with his loss. He had a daughter. Her name was Onpu.

Mono Eye Wizard - Victim of a cult that fled after they threatened his family.

Dr. Fritz - Worked at the same hospital that Catherine used to. Despite witnessing the abuse she suffered, he was too afraid of losing his job to speak up about it. He ventured to Gregory House in an attempt to find her and apologise for being too cowardly to help her.

The hyperfixation hit me so hard last night that I gave in and made random GHS headcanons that spewed out of my head naturally

(note: this post might be really long so press the “keep reading” to get into headcanons)

(note 2: if you’re confused on why I keep referring to Neko Zombie with she/her pronouns it’s because I and our step-sibling personally headcanon Neko Zombie as trans fem with she/her pronouns)

Chef usually babysits all of the kids when he’s not working in the kitchen and prepping up the food. He babysits James, Roulette Boy, and My Son most of the time. Cactus Girl doesn’t need babysitting though as she’s too old for that and instead babysits the younger ones.

James, My Son, Lost Doll, and Mummy Dog are best friends, they love hanging out together. However Lost Doll doesn’t hang around the guys as much though whenever her front side (Lost Doll) is active but whenever Katie is active, that’s when she hangs around them.

Cactus Gunman loves gardening 24/7, he also teaches it to Lost Doll and Cactus Girl. Cactus Girl isn’t as great as her brother when it comes to gardening but Lost Doll is wayyyy better than her.

Bonsai Kabuki and Cactus Gunman are buddies as well, he usually vents to Bonsai a ton related to his emotions and feelings since it’s very hard for him to deal and cope with them. Bonsai always gives the best advice and help to Gunman.

Speaking of Bonsai Kabuki, he technically adopted Sleepy Sheep. I said what I said.

Despite the whole friend group, Sleepy Sheep and Lost Doll are best friends for life compared to than the other kids she’s friends with in the hotel.

Clock Master, Mummy Papa, Cactus Gunman, and Catherine are drinking buddies. Cactus Gunman doesn’t drink as heavily compared to the other three but he still drinks with them anyways.

Gregory is highly protective over Chef, always worried about the fire on his head going out, Gregory usually checks up on him most of the days in the hotel. Gregory is especially worried about James pranking Chef, putting him out so he’s always on edge whenever Chef isn’t close by or whenever Gregory doesn’t know where Chef is.

Poor Conductor loves playing songs that were used within kabuki performances and shows for Bonsai, just for Bonsai to perform and dance to. It makes them both happy and gives Sleepy Sheep an excellent show to watch! (btw Poor Conductor and Bonsai are dating and are both Sleepy Sheep’s adoptive dads)

Neko Zombie loves poetry and loves making poetry as well! She likes to share them with Angel Dog and Cactus Gunman

Neko Zombie and Gregory use to be childhood friends back then, before the existence of Gregory House, Gregory was forced by his Mama to kill Neko Zombie behind her back and behind the two’s friendship, Gregory was hesitant to kill his childhood friend but Mama, with her dark wicked magic, took control of Gregory’s body and murdered her in the deep dark woods where the two would run off to, to escape their painful truths of their realities. Years after the Gregory family was banished from reality, Mama built the family’s safe haven and inter-dimensional realm to protect yet harm her bloodline and to taunt anyone that associated with the family. She built it right near, and yet, on top of where Neko Zombie was murdered and buried. Gregory, one night, full of dread and guilt, decided to dig Neko’s body back up and stitch up all of her body parts that were decaying and falling out, wanting to bring back his old friend… She was luckily brought back to life by a blessing but it cost Gregory everything. Neko Zombie lashed out at him, not knowing the true intent and reason why Gregory killed her in the first place, Gregory tried to explain the best that he could but he kept fumbling up on his words. The whole situation got even worse as Mama entered the room and lashed out on both of them before protecting her son and lashed out heavily onto Neko Zombie for all of this. Cursing her and blaming her for the reason why the family was banished from reality in the first place. Before Neko Zombie could do anything, she was forced into isolation into a prison like room in the hotel and was heavily chained up forever. However as time went on, as the hotel obtained new souls and new residents trapped within Gregory House, everything started wearing off. Gregory secretly removed all of the chains, only leaving one chain left on Neko Zombie’s body, the chain that’s trapped around her left foot and letting her free-roam the house from time to time. Neko Zombie still doesn’t have any kind feelings towards him at all and Gregory has to pretend to hate her although he secretly yet obviously feels horrible for what has happened to her, trying to owe up to his mistakes to her, wanting the both of them to be friends again. However, the chance of that happening again is very much non-existence, even despite Gregory’s hopes and dreams.

How come Neko Zombie stopped fighting against Gregory and his Mama? Simple. She knows that once someone is stuck within this nightmarish dimension of a hotel that there’s no chance of escaping Gregory House. She knows that, being the first resident of the hotel, there’s no more hope for her. She’s stuck here forever and ever…

(note 3: keep in mind I wrote this part when our night meds were kicking in last night, so please excuse me if it seems sloppy)

The Gregory family was banished from reality for a few things, the most well-known reasons were; dark magic, various murder cases, and Mama’s whole soul stealing thing to stay eternally young forever. The one who banished the family from reality as a whole was Death himself! Death was disgusted by what Mama has done and what her bloodline has done that he had to kick them out of reality. But the problem is that, Mama, being ever so powerful now, took advantage of Death’s abilities and decided to create an inter-dimensional that leads hopeless, mentally unwell into stumbling their way to Gregory House. Trapping them within the hotel, and harvesting the person’s soul from being in the hotel for quote on quote “being there for too long” for Mama to feast on.

Death and Frog Fortune Teller were and still are close friends even after Mama punished Death by making his best friend become apart of the hotel’s residence.

Death feels bad for Gregory and James being related to Mama, he knows that Gregory didn’t want this in the first place but had to do anything to survive, meanwhile he knows that James secretly hates Mama which he has all respect for but also feels bad that James will never get to truly remember or know his parents (Gregory’s son and his son’s wife) at all. The only reason why he had to banish the whole family is out of safety reasons and because the affects of what Mama has done to reality might rub off on the both of them and bring more havoc into every single living things’ lives and might destroy reality even further as we know it.
