* Video Essays- YES!! My favorite form of media. I don’t have a specific favorite, but I enjoy ones where they analyze the nature of people.
* Imaginary Friend- She was a girl about the size of Thumbelina. She had a pink T-shirt under a pair of overalls and flowers in her hair. I believed she lived in my jewelry box and I oftentimes went about my day with her sitting on my shoulder. Her name was Dorthy.
* Sleep Aids- I typically fall asleep with headphones in, listening to contemporary ASMR, role play ASMR, a tv show, or just some kinda background noise. I usually end up cuddling with my giant teddy bear that’s nearly the size of me
* Name Change- For a long time, i just went by my given middle name cause my given first name was crap. I chose Jess because it was cool and close enough to my first name that my family wouldn’t freak. (Little do they know it’s short for Jester)
* Favorite Redacted Audio- “Going all the way with your vampire mate” the emotional vulnerability always just brings so many tears to my eyes. that audio is what really convinced me to stick around the channel and check out other storylines.
* No appeal Redacted boy- sad to say there’s a few i don’t really care for that much. Regulus and Ivan specifically though. I also tried really hard to like the balance but never could.
* Favorite Media- I could probably quote the good place to you verbatim. It’s my favorite show and i cry every. single. time. without fail.

* Fun Facts about Me- I’m 22 and work at the local cinema and it’s my favorite job ever. i play multiple instruments and music has become an integral part of my life. i’m an ex-theater kid. i keep every letter note and drawing someone gives to me in a box on my dresser. i like candles and nice smelling things in general. I’m a generally optimistic person, almost to a fault. I tend to have high hopes and subsequently get let down easily. I’m afraid of commitment and intimacy.

You are incredibly delightful and helpful! You gave me so much information to work with, so there is nary a doubt in my mind that you and Gavin would make an excellent match!
On a deeper, personal level, taking a Type two, typically characterized by that desire to be loved, who may be reluctant or afraid to fully be loved, and pairing you with Gavin works perfectly because that aligns with his mindset. You two would have a delightful slowburn of a romance, something that sparks and smolders until he confesses you are the sky to his stars (my favorite of his lines).
On a more minute level, I also think you two would work well because of the things you’d like; like, he would be so delighted by you. The thing about Gavin that’s adorable to me is how behind he is on some shows and movies, so I can just imagine his reactions when you show him old MTV shows like “Why are we snooping through these bedrooms? Who in god’s name is Tila Tequila???” He’d also get a kick out of visiting you at work and trying to get you to neck in the back of a theater with him on your break.

I’m a sap and so, secretly, is Gavin. I don’t know if the tone really fits, because I personally can’t nail down what genres he likes, but the vibe works. I love ships that are not, like, “I didn’t know or understand love until you” but rather “I didn’t realize how easy and fun love could be until you”, you know? It’s also a really fun, energetic song, and I do think you and Gavin would be the type who’d have and be so much fun together once you settle into that love.
Runner-ups:
Guy is a fun runner-up for you, because I think he’d love all the media you like and would be really engaged in liking them with you. Also, he is definitely a theater kid, you can’t tell me otherwise, and theater couples are super cute. In contrast, I like Lasko for you because of that slow burn potential I mentioned. Gavin was a perfect combination of those two thought processes.

Based on the song it definitely represents Lucifer. He definitely represents the "bad boy" you have to worry about. And how his workaholic ways make him alive at midnight. And how he would definitely make you forget your responsibilities.
Mammon: "Promiscuos"- Nelly Furtado
Pretty sure because how we tease Mammon in the story of "What if what not" momments. And how Mammon definitely is a tsundere for Mc but we all know how he's definitely ready to be in a relationship with us. Yet this is a teasing game the relationship is.
Levi: "Line Without A Hook"- Rick Montgomery
Levi is super insecure but he loves us so he acts all nervous. But how he puts us on a good light is so cute! He would definitely have a inner dream of him and us getting together. And he'd definitely would praise every thing you'd do.

We all know Asmo is a diva for himself. He embodies this song. He loves dressing up getting himself ready for Mc. He would just dance and giggle putting make up on. He also loves being proud of his sexuallity and flaunting it. Even as he makes flirty comments to you making you laugh.

Since Satan acts in rage most of the time he definitely would act like this. And how he loves giving Lucifer a hard ass time and I believe he does questionable things- When he was younger he DEFINITELY listened to these kind of songs. And then he'd break shit while listening to this.

Beel's the himbo oblivious type but he's so sweet. He'd take care of you drunk. He'd put your wants before his and feel happy about it. He'd also would ask you to just spend time with him even without you guys doing anything. He's just the type who wants you to be happy.
Solomon: "Doctor" Jack Stauber
Solomon in the story is wery wise and smooth. I think he likes to act like it too. Since he loves partaking in goofy events he would definitely sing this song with you. He also gives great advice so I think he'd go with this song a lot.

Diavolo: "National Anthem"- Lana Del Ray
He's the type to be a sugar daddy and have fun with you. He loves spoiling you with affection and gifts. He'd also definitely make you two go against Lucifer as you have fun . He'd also bring Barbatos along to make the fun better. Also since he's rich and the future king he is the national athem of the Devildom soon.
Simeon: "Romantic Lover"- Eyedress
I feel like this what Simeon's like as a lover. He's so sweet and really the least toxic option- But he would adore your living existence. He'd treat you like God himself, reciting poetry you'd like. Tell you how much he loves you. And how short and sweet it would also be like the song.
Barbatos: "Little Dark Age"- MGMT
This is mostly because there's little known about Barbatos. He's pretty powerful considering his Time manipulation yet he's so secretive. And he loves his job as being a bulter to Diavolo. I feel like he has a dark backstory and keeps it a secret. But to be honest I'm just curious.

Ch. 41 // Then Starve // Day 26
Contents (Warnings): Pretty peaceful...ain't it? (safe soft vore mentions, small cute bobean moments, some teasing, intense stuff to come, and as always character/monster info).

(Oct. 13th, Thursday)
I groaned aloud, hearing my alarm going off, or what I thought was my alarm until my half-asleep brain put it together. Someone's calling me. I answered.
“Hello?”
“Hey, hey! Guess what I have for you!” Claudia’s voice pattered excitedly on the speaker.
I pulled back the phone, looking at the time that flashed on the screen. It was 3 in the morning. I should have gotten at least thirty more minutes of sleep.
“Why do you make it sound like you’re right outside my apartment?”
“Because I am!” She cheered.
I jumped out of bed, “YOU’RE NOT!” I scrambled over in my hoodie to my room door and stopped as she was laughing.
“I’m kidding; you know we can’t find your house unless you take us there yourself,” Claudia said.
“Right...” I grumbled. I'm mad I fell for her scare. I lowered my voice to listen to Wick's side of the wall and see if I woke him. My ear pressed on it. “So why are you calling me at 3 in the morning?”
“The bet we made, remember, I have something I want you to try.”
I pushed the phone closer to my mouth and whispered, “oh, come on, I-I know what everyone is now. I didn’t fail the bet.” I didn't hear anything, so I walked back to my bed.
A suspicious hum raised in her voice. “I did say until Saturday night, but I didn’t ask you at the end, so go ahead, tell me!”
I sat down on the covers and felt the motor in my head trying to turn. I yawned and spoke, “Tila’s a fairy, Beatrice-” I didn’t like saying her name. “She’s a beast…variation insect?”
I waited, and Claudia told me to go on,
“Drake’s a vampire beast, Xander’s a wendigo and magus, Zilla and Zane are both nagas mixed with mimic….” She didn’t stop me. “Elliot’s a werewolf, June’s a slime, Tristan’s a slime, Sandra’s a Magus, Viola’s a siren, Lev’s a Dragon, You’re a Fae, and Edgar is a vampire beast.”
Claudia chuckled, “More than I thought you’d get right, but before I point out the one you got wrong, what kind of dragon is Lev, and what kind of Fae am I?”
I searched my thoughts. I got one wrong? Who? And shoot, I don;' then I realized Drake never told me what Dragon Lev was and what Fae Claudia was. I wanted to call Drake and ask him, yet I didn’t think Claudia would buy the "my signal dropped, but I know the answer" excuse.
I let my shoulders drop, “I don’t know.”
She clapped over the receiver. “That’s fine, I don’t know what Dragon Lev is either, so you could have said anything, and I would have believed you.” She laughed so innocently. “And myself, I’m a Sunless Fae. You can tell by the faintness of my colors and the lack of vegetation over my body like other Sun-graced Fae.” She seemed more than happy to share it with me.
Maybe that’s an excellent way to distract her in the future? “And who did I get wrong?”
“Edgar, he’s a vampire, not a vampire beast like Drake. I think that’s from his mom's side.”
“So even if I found out what you were and Lev, I would have failed because I assumed he was the same as Drake.”
“Well. I’ll give you a good job in person on Saturday for the handwork you did asking everyone!”
I muttered with guilt, “y-yeah.” Then realized it was Thursday. “You don’t even work today! Why did you say it like you were coming to give it to me today!”
I could hear her giggles, “sorry! I’m super excited and wanted to tell you a little about it!”
“Okay…”
There was a devious “hue, hue” from beyond the receiver. She was like a cutesy anime villain. “It’s another potion that’ll shrink you, but instead of four inches tall, you’ll be half your size this time!”
“No!” I exclaimed and heard her laugh again.
“I’m kidding~ It’s to allow you to breathe underwater.”
“Oh…? Why?”
“Why? Don’t humans dream of breathing underwater? Or did that movie lie to me?”
It would be cool. Sandra’s warning entered my head again. What’s the catch? What would- My panic increased. “What is it going to do to me, Claudia? It-IT’S NOT GOING TO TURN ME INTO A FISH, IS IT?!?”
Claudia laughed, “it’ll be okay, Lynette.”
“YOU DIDN’T-” I lowered my volume. “You can’t just- it’ll be okay me, and not answer whether it will or not.”
I couldn’t tell whether she was joking, “if you’re a fish, Alexander won’t want to eat you."
“But, I’ll be a Fish!!!” I mumbled, “please, do not turn me into a fish.”
“I think you’ll look cute!”
“Claudia, I’m begging you! Anything else, ANYTHING.”
Claudia sighed, “well, I did say it’d get you…so…I guess I could just do what everyone else does and eat you.”
Disgust stabbed my gut. “You don’t sound like you want that….” And I really don’t either.
“I’d rather try the potion.” She pouted. “I think you’ll really like it.”
I groaned out aloud. Do I want to be a fish or get eaten…ahhhh! I hate having to make this choice. I could die as a fish-I COULD DIE GETTING EATEN.
“I-I’ll think about it.”
I could hear her a "harumph" over the speaker, “Lynette, I want the answer now!”
“I don’t want either option!”
“You gotta pick one, or let me pick the potion!”
“Fine-Claudia-I'll pick” What happened to me yesterday played in my head. “potion...as long as I'll be 100% safe.”
“Wait, really?! Yes! Thank you! It’ll be so much fun! Promise!!” She squealed with glee, “have a great day then!” She hung up after, and I banged the phone on my head.
“Would I rather be a fish than a snack?" I looked at the time, sighing. I didn't see a point in trying to rest anymore. "Life does sound simpler, and at least none of them would eat a fish.”
…
I didn’t get to work at the same time as June today. Instead, it was Alexander. His gaze at least looked a lot tamer, though it still made me feel uncomfortable.
“Are you feeling better?” I asked, out of instinct to take the attention off myself.
The question looked to piss him off, but he stopped before he replied and smirked, “yeah, but I’ll be feeling even better tonight.”
“Yeah?” It took me a second to realize what he meant. “Come on! Xander, I HAVE TWO LUNCH PERIODS. TWO!” I exclaimed. “Can’t you give me-”
He stopped me at the door, “you had four days where I DID nothing to you. That’s plenty.” His eyes fixated deeply on me.
I couldn’t meet hungry cloud blue hue nor look at any other part of him, “I was attacked twice yesterday! By Beatrice and Lev!”
“Tsk.” He grumbled, “don’t remind me.” He stepped out of the way and opened the door. He let me pass him. “You could have avoided both of them if you let me eat you every time.”
I whined out, putting my hands to my face, “it’s like you ignore me when I try to explain; I DO NOT WANT TO BE EATEN BY ANYONE-” Why can’t they be normal?! I tried to hurry ahead.
“And you ignore me when I say you’re what I EAT.”
My feet didn't let me move anymore. My body refused to run. I flipped back and faced Alexander. He stopped walking. I shouted weakly, “TH-En STarVE!”
…
Alexander
Her unexpected yet scared declaration made him smile. Primarily due to the crack in her voice.
She pulled back, “I-I don’t mean die-I meant not-” She fumbled, losing her ground.
He took a step forward, "you know I was starting to pity you just a bit.” He showed her his fingers close together, “but after that, I think I’m fully justified.”
The panic worked up in her eyes, “Wha-no-” He started to laugh and passed her. She called out from behind him, “oh, you jerk, you're lying!”
He felt well enough to talk to her, but his hunger was getting stronger. At least I know it hasn’t affected my Appetite.
He thought to himself. He got to the time clock. Everyone had already started. As he scanned in, he felt more of what was to come. If I get Lynette for lunch during this shift...win the game later... He tried to contain his smile. And keep her into the night. I won't have to feel hungry for the rest of the day.
…
Lynette
What am I going to do? We’re not playing a game during this first shift. I didn’t want to be inside him. And even if I don’t get put in the same lunch bracket as him, I still have to avoid him by running away.
“Morning.”
I clutched the spray bottle and rag when I jumped.
It was Drake.
“Mo-morning!” I said, followed by a weak smile. I tried to meet his eyes, but his bangs hid them as usual.
He held up some supplies. “We’re both cleaning today.”
“Twinsies.” I gave a light cheer. I don’t hate him. He’s helped me a lot since I’ve been here.
“I’ll get the boy's bathroom if you get the girl's.” He walked with me to them.
I nodded, “sounds like a plan.” Maybe I should ask...no. Remember Lynette, Alexander is his best friend. He’s not going to say anything about him... My lip quivered with desperation, and against my thoughts, I called out.
“Drake!”
He flinched and flicked back, “uh-huh? Is everything okay? Did you want the guys' bathroom-”
I put my hands together, clapping the rag to the bottle. “What can I do about Xander?”
“Him?” Drake let out a handful of chuckles, all very light and weighed with nervousness. “What do you mean?” He played dumb.
“Please!” I moved closer. “I got eaten twice yesterday, and he doesn’t even care-” I exhaled, “I don't even want one time, but I REALLY don’t want twice.”
“You’d have to be something different than a human for him to lose interest.” Drake shrugged, “other than that, I can’t help.” he looked to burden a thought in his head. “-he has to finish off that deal with you. And after that, who knows, he might relax.”
I dropped my arms. It's not that easy. “Thanks anyway.”
Drake reached out to me when I tried to get to work. He tapped my shoulder and brought his hand back quickly after. He got the attention he wanted.
“I didn’t mention the game to him, but it involves you getting to a goal and the others trying to take you to their goal, like football, except you’re the ball.” Drake pointed his pointer finger from each hand up, “I picked it because I know Lev and Alexander would fight amongst themselves.” Drake gestured to his own body, “and if I won today, I would just want your blood, not eating you.”
“The needle or-” I hesitated, my hand with the rag going to my neck unconsciously. “Biting?”
Drake combed his bangs over his face with a slight huff, “needle, or were you offering...” He stiffened up and shook his head. He turned around with his hands up. “No. It'll be the needle. It’s not a crescent moon yet.”
He walked into the respective bathroom after I said thank you.
I entered mine, and it generally wasn’t too dirty. Viola cleaned them throughout the day, so they were much better than most I've been in.
I looked into the last mirror I passed. Why do they think of food when they look at a human? I went to the last stall. I wouldn’t want to eat anyone, especially if they didn’t want me to. I felt hurt by my own hypothetical. What if they started crying? I wouldn’t want to hurt anyone.
The other monsters don’t seem to care about that. “I don’t see a point playing catch up with you. A year is nothing to me.” I scrubbed a little faster. It’s not like I’m asking to be friends, Lev. I’m just asking for you to have some consideration. At least Xander-
No, I am not going to justify either of them. Xander’s a jerk, too. He always acts like I’ve said something wrong or goes straight to eating me. There’s no in-between with him…I reached behind the toilet. I guess I did tell him to starve earlier, didn’t I? I groaned. BUT WHEN I ASKED HIM IF HE WAS OKAY, HE TURNED IT INTO SOMETHING ABOUT EATING ME! He could eat anyone, any other human. But no.
I got up after scrubbing the first one. Alexander probably does it for the same reason Lev does, because I hate it.
I slapped my cheeks. Focus on the good stuff, Lynette. I reminded myself. My vacation's coming up in a week or two.
...
Drake and I walked to the kitchen together and met with June, who patted his clothes, brushing off some frost.
“Hey guys, sorry I missed you coming in. I arrived early to help count the delivery and put everything in the freezer. How are you both?”
“Tired,” Drake said.
“Fine, thanks. How are you?”
“A little chilly,” he said with a shiver. “I think I’m gonna make some tea during break,” he tweeted, “did you guys want some?”
“Sure,” Drake said.
“Please.” I suspiciously glanced at Drake, “you drink tea?”
“It doesn’t do anything for me, but I like the heat.” He tapped at his abdomen, “liquids are the only thing my body can process.”
I don’t think I’ve ever seen you drink anything but blood. I thought before looking back at June, “and are slimes not hurt by the cold?”
June laughed, “I can regulate my body’s temperature,” he did a triumphant pose. “You are right though, extreme cold will turn me into a” he paused, then frantically looked at Drake and me. “What are those things called. They’re a human thing, frozen sticks.”
“Frozen sticks?” Drake pulled back in thought.
“Popsicles?”
June jumped up, “yes! That-I’d be one of those!”
“awh! No!” I squeaked.
June assured me with a few pats, “it’s okay. I can recover from being too cold.” He added, “not extreme heat; I’ll melt if there’s too much.”
“Then don’t drink tea! It’s hot!” My voice rushed out once we got to break room 3, across from one.
“As long as I don’t fall into a giant teacup of boiling tea and simmer in it for an hour or two, I’ll be okay!”
Oddly specific. Too specific. HAS SOMEONE TRIED TO HURT YOU?! I yelled in my head. I might have asked to switch to this shift if it wasn't for Beatrice.
Everyone was at the table toward the back center, and chairs pulled up for us. Beatrice was not here today, luckily. Instead, Zane was here. And Elliot was on one of the couches, sleeping.
He sleeps a lot. I thought as June leaned over the table.
“I’m gonna make some peppermint tea. Anyone want some?”
Alexander said no, while Tila and Zane said yes.
“Hey, Len,” Zane said to me. Charletta used to call me that, and then Wicks, to be different, turned the nickname into a bean name. The thought made me smile.
His gaze pricked at my neck when I opened my mouth to say hi back. It left when Tila told me hello as well. What happened? I sat in my seat, and Zane's smile returned.
Then, June looped an arm under mine and got me up.
“You were worried about the tea, so come check this out!”
June tugged me along to the kitchen portion of the room. I helped him boil some water for the tea. And when it was done, he got a cup and lifted it to his lips.
“Look at this!” He lifted up his shirt with his free hand and drank it.
His abdomen started to change from a normal skin color to the faint baby blue like the other day, and I saw the liquid he drank through him. My eyes were fixated on the marvel as he exhaled, finishing it off. And after a few more seconds, the tea started to lose its color and disappear.
“Isn’t that cool!”
“What happened to it?”
June let his shirt fall, “so if I drink liquids, I can make them into goo.”
“Does that happen with solids too?” I asked quietly.
He gave a shake of his head. “No. It takes a while for my body to deplete solid stuff of all the energy and then get rid of it.” He then turned to get out some mugs before the tea got cold. “And it’s really gentle with living things I eat.”
“Oh,” I keep forgetting, “so you eat people too?”
June nodded, “sometimes. It’s usually if someone asks.” He hugged his body with a big grin, “I’ve had a lot of people tell me it’s very comfy and calming inside me.” He’d blush if he could. “They’re so nice.”
He seems way too innocent to be a monster. I said to myself. Not that I assumed monsters were bad, but he was just one of the nicest I’ve met besides Viola and Drake.
I helped June carry the mugs back.
I sat next to Drake, and the extra mug we brought, June, took it to Elliot. Elliot woke up and growled but saw the drink and groggily came over. He brought over a chair and put it in between the space June, and I had.
He didn’t quite hold the same intimidation as the others. His was a silent judgment. Which still bothered me.
“Who wanted the first half of lunch break?” Elliot asked after his first sip.
Alexander and I looked at each other, sitting on opposite sides of the table. I pulled away first. If I end up at the same time as him, I’m really screwed.
First, Tila spoke, then June and Drake. So before Zane could, I yelped.
“ME too!”
Alexander had his arms over his chest and scoffed but didn’t say anything about it.
Elliot nodded, “Fine, Zane, Alexander, and I will join in the second half.” His hand waved in front of me lazily, then pointed to Zane, who sat next to Alexander. “I didn’t mention it earlier, but you’ll be cashiering with Zane today.” He then pointed at Tila, “since she’s going to run a few errands, Alexander, you’ll be staying in the kitchen instead of cleaning up.”
Is he the manager over the first shift? I asked myself. Elliot put his mug to his lips, “did you want to work something different?”
I didn’t think he was talking to me until he turned his body, awaiting my answer.
“Oh-no-” Lynette, why do you stare at people!? “I wondering if you were the manager of the first shift.” I hope he doesn’t take that the wrong way. I realized the way I said it sounded a little rude.
The shrug rolled off, “mhm. Same as Drake over the night shift.” He pointed over my head at him.
Drake was pulled from the conversation when the hand was in his direction.
“What’s wrong?”
“I didn’t know you were a manager.”
“When my Dad’s not here, yeah,” Drake said.
And before I could question anymore, some of the people that got to break earlier were heading back and chugging their tea.
...
I met at the counter with Zane after helping June wash the mugs. Maybe I need a tension breaker?
“Hey, Zane?” I put my hands up with a plea.
“Yeah?” He looked softly amused.
“I don’t know who you usually eat, but I know your sister likes to eat Alexander…so if-”
Zane held a hand, “let me stop you right there. My sister and I have VERY different eating habits. I don’t eat monsters. Hybrids like Alexander… I’d make an exception if I thought I could fight him. I do not.”
“You eat…humans?”
He nodded, “I eat them and magus’s.” He smiled at me and leaned over, and I readied a threat, especially seeing his narrow eyes. “But don’t worry, you’re a dear friend of my sisters, so I’d never eat you.” I could hear the harshness of the word, eat.
“G-great.”
He kept his angle. “Since we’re on the question topic. Can I ask you something back?”
“Su-sure?”
His words whispered, like a threat, “what’s your last name?”
Why would he want that? “Wayland, why?”
He lingered for a second longer, and his serious look broke with his laughter, “oh! Okay! Yeah, I’m sorry. You have a similar feel to an old friend, and I wondered if you were the same person.”
The tension inched off.
“Did you meet them in a human school or-?”
Zane shook his head as our first customer came in. “no. But, Goodluck with Alexander later, though.”
I guess that means question time is over. I fixed my hat on my head as they went to him. I wonder what that “friend” did to him.
…
We sat at the table near the kitchen. Tila went to heat up some of her food; June waited with his but leaned over the table at Drake and me. I ate my PB & J while Drake had blood.
“What’s wrong?” June asked.
I took another bite slowly, “Xander.”
“Is he mad at you? Oh no, did you get into a fight?!”
“She doesn’t want Alexander to eat her,” Drake said.
“OH!” June understood for a second, then his face held confusion. He pressed up the glasses that fell down his nose when he lay across the table. “Why not?”
I looked at him and then back to my sandwich. My Appetite is lost again.
“Some beings aren’t interested in being eaten, June,” Tila spoke up, bringing her piping hot flowers to the table. “I know I’d take down anyone who tried to eat me.”
“But it’s not that bad.” He said, lifting himself up and putting his food in the microwave.
Drake shivered, “you haven’t been eaten by Zilla.”
I peered up, “Zilla’s attacked you?”
“Very, very rarely. She likes to eat Alexander and Lev more, especially Alexander, because even if his size shifts, “he’s the perfect size to fill her up,” her words, not mine.” Drake let his chin lean on his hand, “I don’t size shift or go into my other form, so she doesn’t like to attack me unless she can’t get Lev.”
If only Zilla was here. “Does anyone else here eat other monsters, Tila?”
She poked at June, who stood by her, listening, “he eats anyone or anything-” then she sighed, “Elliot too, he’s eaten Beatrice before. But he’s the most docile and won’t do anything to anyone unless they bother him enough.”
I sighed. “Ah…”
June tapped at his chest, “if you don’t want Alexander to eat you, I can keep you safe instead.”
I felt a flicker of hope, “you can, really?”
Drake burst it, “he’s talking about eating you.”
“June!” I whimpered, “I trusted you!”
“Huh!” He ignored the ding of the microwave. “But you said you don’t want to be eaten by Alexander, and he’ll attack you if you’re not protected by someone else, right? So I can protect you for the rest of lunch, then let you out after it.”
“I-no offense if it is offensive, but I don’t want to be eaten by anyone, ever again, if I can prevent it.” After I said it, I flinched, awaiting the worst. Some kind of backlash, threat, or him jumping over the table to attack me.
“Okay! I wouldn’t want you to be uncomfortable, friend.” June hummed, getting out his food. He placed the leftover taco’s down and started to eat them.
He didn’t even look the least bit angry or upset. I didn’t even know how to react.
“Is something wrong?” June asked again.
“No...” I exhaled. “thank you.”

Love the plot for the mermaid arachikids AU! I can help with some knowledge from the comics. -Ganke would be into helping mermaid tech as he’s tech savvy in the comics -Peni does not have a good home life with kits family, aunt and uncle forced kits to ride SP//DR -Gwen Stacy the original one is a daddy’s girl who has only her dad so we can assume the same with Gayatri -I think personality wise Gayatri would fit Renho better, and Aoi with Margo (love your ideas as always)

So by the end of my post I did kinda have Ganke in a more tech field. Not specifically the robotics part of the mermaids, since Peni's powers really make it better for her job, but now that I know this, I can see Ganke helping Peni out when kit starts getting overwhelmed during performances.
Like the stages that have live performances also have screens, so Ganke is the one who does transitions from holo to virtual. Keeping up powers for a whole performance would be hard, so Pav and Peni take small breaks during live performances where the mo-cappers will take over as the mermaids now perform on screen for a bit (letting Sofa and Margo and Ganke to take over the scenery now while Pav focuses soley on mo-cap and Peni is giving a mental break from being a connector).
Once they get the money to properly have hologram tech that Peni doesn't need to be a connector to, then I can see kit and Ganke being the main mermaid techs.
As for Peni's home life, it would be cool to know what her life was BEFORE her dad died and had to be forced into the SP//DR suit (pretty sure she was only forced to fight because her dad died and her DNA was the only compatible one there was). Mainly because the NSpidR AU doesn't have spider tech/powers so her home life would be more like what it is in the comics before her father died and she took over his role.
If it was a good life, just that kits father was a superhero, then I can still see kits home life being really good. If not, then I guess kits family would be kinda like Sofa where they kinda support the kid but are more wanting to use their kid for money so would push kit to join NSR once they found out about it.
The family would think they are helping Peni, using Yinu as an example of a young start in this case. Otherwise I could potentially see them like Tila's family where they want to control Peni and force kit to do what they want, which in this case would be forcing kit to keep up with the mermaid project once the family caught wind of the project potentially being picked up by NSR.
Though I only see this happening if Peni doesn't have her dad, since (unless the comics make him out to be bad) her dad would truly want her best interest at heart. Kinda like Yinu's family honestly. Except in the reverse, I think? Like if Papa was alive he wouldn't have wanted Yinu to be working at NSR, but since he is dead Mama allows it. If Peni's dad is alive then he would allow her to go and be supportive while if he wasn't then she doesn't have a choice (either they force her to quit or force her to go, either way she would have to fight to do what she WANTS). [Also, is Peni adopted? I think I read that somewhere but idk. In this AU I keep thinking her dad would be biologically related to her]
Gwen and Gayatri being daddy's girls is so cute in my mind. And their dads being super supportive of them (even if they don't realize fully) is a nice touch. It would be nice if Gayatri is able to connect to Gwen through this, making them close friends. Both were so close to their dads, had some fears about their dads possibly not accepting them (or their relationships, or stuff like that).
Gayatri was able to get the courage to talk with her dad and things worked out, while Gwen ran away from her dad out of fear. Gaya would definitely be a rock for Gwen to hold on to and also be a hope for Gwen that things would turn out like the relationship that Gayatri has with her dad.
As for why I had Gaya as Aoi and not Renho, you are probably right that their personalities would fit better, however I see the mermaids as being visually made first before ever even making personalities for them and even way before getting voice actors for them.
So like, when you make an OC and have the visuals, then you make their personality, and THEN make lore for them or something like that (kinda working backwards but I do this with some of my OCs). That is how the first two mermaids would have been made.
Remi would have already had a beta version of Sayu made as well as a beta version of Aoi. Those two are always the first mermaids made in my head. So when Pav and Gayatri joined, at first it was just to work on Sayu with two voice actors, but would later split into Sayu and Aoi.
The team didn't want to keep switching voices, so Gayatri would stay on Aoi for voice, but the team tried to take voice actors into mind more later on whenever they brought in a new mermaid.
Which is why Gwen got Yua. The team had a good talk about it and Remi probably brought up the idea that Yua could be trans so that there was a reason Yua's voice sounded more masculine at the beginning which Gwen ended up loving the idea of since she had really wanted to voice one of these merms but didn't want to be a merman. So trans Yua was made!
I still don't have an idea of which one would come next even in the OG version of the mermaid club. Usually I've been thinking it would go Haru then Renho last, but it could have been the other way as well. Out of those two, I do kinda see Margo as having more fun with being Haru's voice actor instead of Renho, but I can also see Peni being a good fit.
Peni would probably fit nicely with Renho, at least better than Margo would, even if kits voice would still fit Haru a bit more, so because of this Margo most likely gets Haru and Peni gets Renho.
It could honestly go either way because I find it funny if the only reason they even added 2 more mermaids was because they wanted to be more like 1010 (I am sure a lot of these teens were fans of 1010 and so looked up to them as a group). So 3 mermaids became 5 and they worked with what they had because, I don't know, they thought adding too many more people might be a bad idea? Or they couldn't find anyone else to really fill in the spots that fit with the whole team itself even if they would have been a good mermaid.
These are teens who are probably not entirely sociable. At least on the Crew's side of things. The Arachnikids seem pretty sociable, so they probably wouldn't have had any problems working in a huge group. But since some of the main people who started this (Tila and Remi, but also Sofa and Dodo) weren't very interested in a super huge group unless it was a friend group as well, they just had Margo and Peni be the new voice actors instead of finding someone new.

Four O’clock
— A story wherein Avirylle, moved to a new school in Cavite far away from her family in Manila to live a whole new life and live alone for good. Consequently, she saw Ashel; a mysterious girl who consecutively show up when the clock hits 4:00
• Avirylle’s
Head aching, ears ringing and hands shaking. I quickly touched my forehead with my palm, “ah..” i moaned as i quickly stood up from the bathroom floor. Swinging side to side while my hand is still in it’s position.
I can’t remember anything that happened last night, I actually thought I was dead when I woke up earlier. From all of the pills that I took, how am I still alive? I looked at the anti-depressant pills that’s been sitting at my side table. Sighing as my head came empty.
I don’t know if I’m relieved that I’m alive or I’m just disappointed at myself for having one job and i still managed to fail it.
I opened my phone and noticed few missed calls from Casey and Alisha. I think I made them anxious because I already sent them my farewell message, but guess where I am now? Stuck. Here at my condo and my depression room, barely alive.
I noticed the time 3:00. I know it’s sounds too early, I always come at school at 4:00. I don’t know? I guess I just enjoyed my company being alone.. Oh, alone? I mean, not until Ashel came.
— BACKFLASH 3:28 —
I quickly grabbed my bag and put on my shoes. I opened my car as i connect my phone to the speaker to turn on some music.
I don’t even noticed that I’m already near school. I parked and the usual bodyguards welcomed me, I think they knew me already for the reason that I’m always the first person to come inside the campus.
I walked inside the library and towards the usual spot that I always sit at. I put on my earphones and started to read this book, Moby Dick by Herman Melville.
I started to feel like somebody is watching me, and I was right. I saw this girl beside me in my peripheral vision. I looked at her confused. “what?” with sarcasm in my voice.
She smiled at me with her bunny teeth showing. “I love the book that you’re reading! Can I sit beside you?” she asked. I looked around and saw few empty sofa chairs. I think she already knows what I’m going to say.
“Fine.” I answered briefly, her faced seemed shocked. I think she didn’t expect the answer that she heard from me.

After that, I always enjoyed coming to school early. I almost nearly forgot having the thoughts in my head that only anti-depression pills can prevent.
She became my rest; The rest in my exhausting world.
I enjoyed her company and I know she enjoyed mine too.

“NO.” I teased her as her face became red. “Don’t tease me like that, it ain’t funny” she said with her eyebrows furrowed while I’m laughing and giggling at her.
I stood up and held her at her wrist. “WHAT? WHERE ARE WE GOING?” she’s confused but she still followed me.
I stopped near the rooftop stairs and looked at her, “I guess it’s our new spot?” she looked at me and smiled. We ran up the stairs while i’m still holding her wrist, but at some point she lets go of my wrist and held my hand instead.
We stopped at the rooftop and sat at the chair that we think has been abandoned. She hugged my arms and rested her head at my shoulder.
“You know, I appreciate you so much.” I said, she looked at me with those eyes again.
Everytime you look at me with that smile and those eyes, i just..
“Really?”
yes, really.
I wanted to say it to her with those words but I just nodded.
Her eyes became blurry and I can feel her heart pounding. “Are you crying?” I teased her and giggled a bit. “WHAT? NO.” she insisted. “Oh, wait. It’s 6 already, i need to go..” She stood up and I looked at her, “I love you and I’m so proud that you’re still here.”
My eyes are teary but I still managed to smile at her, “Let’s meet again, tomorrow.” I said and she just smiled, her hand holding me went weak.
As I see her walking away from me, I just stood there still calculating the words that she said. Oh, God. She’s my answered prayer.

And that’s the last time that I ever saw her, I didn’t even asked her number, her socials or where she lives. She disappeared. Just like that.
I started to drink my anti-depressant pills regularly after this incident, thinking that I have a choice in life, and if this choice means doing it with her, then I won’t hesitate anything.
I miss her a lot, and when I say a lot, I mean more than a lot.
Ever since then, even if I don’t see her no more, I’m still early in going to school, hoping that she would come and greet me. A part of me is still hoping that hopefully she’ll messaged me through my social medias. Every notification rings, I always pray that it’s her.
Maybe I don’t deserve to be loved. It’s so Uncanny.

I’m walking down the hall, on the way to the Library. So drained, I don’t even know how can I still walk after all this pressure that has happened last night.
I sat down, in my usual spot. Head empty, eyes closed as I’m beginning to lose my hope again.
A tear rolled down my cheeks and little sobs came from my mouth. My chest hurts so much that I feel like it’s going to burst.
My head dizzy, I noticed a cold hand brushing my hair to the back of my ear. I slowly looked at who is it, and saw her, again. My home.
I immediately hugged her. So tight that I think she can’t breathe anymore, but I haven’t hear a single word from her.
She hugged me back with her left hand in my back and the other caressing my hair.
After she noticed that my crying became soft, she held my face with both of her hands and looked me straight in the eyes. “I missed you, pretty.”
As she said those words, the expression of my faced changed. “Where have you been? It’s been 3 months. 3 whole months, Ashel. Do you know how hard it is for me to keep going without you?”
I know the guilt that she’s feeling right now, I can feel her heart that’s been beating so fast. “I’m sorry, I know. It’s awful, I wanted to say a permanent goodbye, because I feel like disappearing without you knowing will only make me feel more guilty.”
This words made my heart ache. So It’s that easy to replace me?
“Why? Where are you going?” I asked for the reason that my voice cracked a bit.
“D-don’t leave me, can you just please stay? at least for just a week?” I added.
She smiled at me. “Look, Avi. I know. I know everything sounds so difficult at this moment, I know you’re taking your anti-depressant pills lately, and for a reason you’ve stopped? but please, I’m so proud of you, always and I want you to keep going.” my eyes teared “I will forever be right here” she pointed at my heart and I noticed that she’s crying too.
God, why do you have to make me suffer this way.
I hugged her with my head in her shoulder, she kissed me at my cheek. Still crying, but when I opened my eyes I noticed that she’s gone.
I’m so confused.
“Avi?” A familiar voice came from a distance. I looked and saw Ali, her eyes are teary. “Why are you here?” I asked confused.
She ran to me and hugged me. “Avi, everything’s going to be fine.”
My head’s in a knot. “What? What are you talking about, Alisha?”
“Avi, you’ve been talking to yourself all this time.” i smiled at her sarcastically. “Stop. It’s not a funny joke, Ali.” my breathing became heavy.
“What’s her name?” She asked. “Ashel. She’s a nursing student.”
“I knew it. It’s Ashel.” she said dead serious with her eyes looking at me. “Do you know her?” I asked.
“Avi, she’s my classmate. She died when we’re in our second year due to suicide. She liked you for a long time already, but you haven’t noticed her since your mental health isn’t cooperating as well.” I just stared at her, I don’t know what to say.
“Haven’t you noticed that after you’re taking your pills regularly, she haven’t been in your sight lately” she sighed.
“It’s because she’s not real, Avi. You’re just hallucinating.” she held my hands with both of hers.
“But.. She seemed so real. I touched her, I hugged her. I smelled her. She’s with me through anything when no one was there.” I began to cry again.
“I want you to find the peace that you really deserve, Avi. Please.” I can’t accept the fact that she’s not real.
I really think she’s real. But if that’s not the case, then I still wanted her to stay proud of me. I guess this will be the reason for me to keep going.

Here is my recap of the All Things Glee (w/ Korey Kuhl and Tyler Oakley) episode of the podcast.
Kevin jokingly called Korey and Tyler stalkers.
Apparently 6pm is the middle of the night for Jenna.
Kevin called Korey and Tyler, evergreen thinks.
Tyler took a nap before recording this episode.
Korey asked Tyler if he felt like a hot dog in a bun because Tyler took a nap with his dogs.
Tyler asked them if a hot dog is a sandwich. There is actually a podcast called that and they answer that question.
Jenna said it’s not a sandwich and Tyler said it is a sandwich.
Kevin just watched a tiktok from a Harvard debate about affirmative action so he is in a debating mood.
Tyler said their For You pages couldn’t be more different.
Korey and Tyler have done over 400 episodes of their podcast.
Korey said recording the podcast is the highlight of his week.
Tyler said the podcast is the perfect reason to be up to date with each other now that they live in different cities.
Tyler and Korey went to Michigan State. They became friends there and talked about Big Brother and Julie Chen.
Korey was already gone when Tyler started watching Glee. Tyler was a sophomore and an RA. He knew he could get people to come watch it. It was a work event for him. He was a good RA and got the job done.
Korey watched it with his boyfriend at the time. He was a big Greek and watched all the episode.
When Korey was an RA he let them watch X3. Tyler remembers candle gate when Korey was an RA. Some kid fell asleep studying and his knock off candle exploded. You aren’t allowed to have real candles in dorms in college. Korey almost got fired because he didn’t call the fire department. He said the room was fine and they didn’t need outside help. He didn’t want to waste resources.
Kevin asked how the Glee nights would work because he didn’t go to college because he was playing a high school student forever. Tyler explained how his dormitory was set up. He said he would go down the halls shouting Glee in his room. He didn’t think a single guy came to the event. It was all girls. He says he thinks they were coming off A Double Shot of Love with Tila Tequila so Tyler’s watch parties were legendary.
Jenna asked Tyler was watching with Darren was on. (Umm..he had/has the biggest crush on Darren)
Jenna didn’t realize Michigan University and Michigan State were different schools. That’s fair though.
They talk about people from Michigan and Texas. Tyler and Korey from Michigan and Kevin is from Texas.
Jenna asked if either of them were in show choir. No they weren’t. Tyler was in a choir in his hometown.
Jenna told them that competitive show choirs are not really a thing. Their are show choirs like the Whiffenpoofs but that is a different thing.
Jenna went to a performing arts high school. They did 10 shows a year. It was very competitive. They had a select choir. It’s as after school. Tyler said he was in drama club. Matt Morrison also went to a performance arts high school as well. Korey said his school was poor. They didn’t have a choir but they did have a band. He wasn’t in the band. They did school plays but they had to double or triple on roles because they didn’t’ have enough people to fill out the cast. He was also Homecoming King. He went to a very small school with like 46 kids in his graduation class. (I feel him. My graduating class was maybe 70 people.)
Jenna asked the personal affect Glee had on Tyler. He said it changed his life, the entire trajectory, he is who he is because of Glee. Jenna said that was the answer she was looking for and Kevin said he was just a shell of a person before he watched Glee. Korey said Tyler is still rewatching it. Every time he finishes he just starts it all over again. Tyler said in sincerity he loved it unironically, he knew how important it would have been to someone that was closeted in high school or middle school. He knew not all queer people had it as easy as him growing up. To see something like Glee exist prime time, the biggest show period, and have leads that were queer and leads celebrating all types of differences was huge .He knows its fun to observe glee and the ridiculousness of it all. He said if your weren’t there you didn’t know how big glee was in the moment and how powerful it was. They were having real conversations about queer identities on the main stage. It changed culture. iconic. Iconic without any exaggeration.
Tyler saw the movie. Jenna said you were the person that wen t and saw the movie. (I dragged my mom to the movie so maybe three of us saw the movie)
Tyler wants any listener that didn’t experience in the moment you don’t even realize how huge it was, it was a cultural phenomenon.
Tyler was coming up on YouTube/social media around the same time as Glee. Kevin said his nieces and nephews were exposed to more queer people because of people like Tyler that weren’t afraid to be themselves on social media. He said knowing they had good people like Tyler to watch they were in good hands. It was a group effort. Glee ended up being a queer positive experience and was a very pop culture referenced show. A part of that zeitgeist was YouTube.
Tyler said he thinks of Trevor Live that was held in December. Trevor Project was important to Tyler. He got to be a correspondent for Trevor Live and was giddy when he found out who would be walking the carpet. He felt safe and supported every time someone from Glee came on to the carpet. He said they made it fun and brought their shine to a cause that is important. Every cast member of Glee was always at Trevor Live. Glee always showed out for queer people. It always stuck with Tyler that there are celebrities that will show up at a red carpet to promote something and celebs that will show up when they want to support a cause.
Kevin said he was excited to meet Tyler and talk to him on the carpet. He was worried he would out himself. He was wearing a kilt the first time he met Tyler. He said they were having a gay old time on the carpet.
Kevin said it has happened a lot over the years that they have made friends only to find out they had Glee watch parties. Jenna said they always assume people haven’t seen Glee. They come across that a lot.
Kevin asked Korey what happened with the boyfriend he originally watched glee with and Korey said they broke up before Glee was over. He said he had his mom to sort of watch with. They would watch separately and talk about it after. She would text him every week it was on. She loves Kurt and Blaine. He said this was around the time he had come out to his parents. He said it was impactful to him that she celebrated Kurt and Blaine on the show.
Kevin said he would sneakily watch shows with gay characters, usually British shows. He said he remembers downloading Skins in six parts on YouTube and hiding from his parents to watch it. Then thinking about what Tyler and Korey referenced about being young and having a show on network television that people were going to see whether they meant to or not because it was on one of the five major networks and being able to access that part of dialogue or themselves and watching with their parents or having their parents see something in a positive light that they might not otherwise be exposed to. The cast didn’t necessarily get to experience its in that way at all because they were doing it. When you are doin the thing you don’t really have a frame of reference for how impacting other people. Kevin’s favorite part of hearing stories is that connection between kids and their parents. Being able to talk about it and be sort of an ice breaker. Sure we are talking about Kurt and Blaine but we are talking about us in real life.
Jenna brought up that Tyler did a glee ranking. She wants to know what is this tier maker thing, what provoked him to do it, did he watch any of these numbers over again? These days Tyler is a Twitch streamer. One of the things he will do live is ranking things. (These tier lists are really popular on game channels right now) They talked about their favorite fast food fries. Anyways, Tyler had seen people ranking glee things in the past. He got the idea to rank all the Glee songs but then he realized there are like 700 songs. He found a ranking list that had 180 songs and it was the most compressive one he could find. It was a three stream event and took him like 15 hours. They listened to every single song. They discusses songs. Everyone would scream context is important and they would have to watch the videos. He heard left right and center that he was wrong about everything. Kevin said the people on twitter were terrible to Tyler. Tyler learned people had a foggy memory of what was iconic and what they wanted to be iconic. Just because you want something to be iconic doesn’t make it iconic. Just because you want something to impact pop culture forever doesn’t mean it did. They had categories of actually changed pop culture forever, should have changed pop culture forever, this is what we come to glee for in the best way possible (this was where most of the songs went), weaponized bfa, you sang your face off come get your tony, teensbop, good vocals but skip, the lowest category is crimes were committed. Kevin said that was where his first song belonged. They also had categories called how did this get made, camp but in a bad way. Kevin said Blame next to Run Joey Run seems controversial. Tyler said the people are mad. Kevin said there has been this weird resurgence of people on TikTok tagging Kevin talking about Blame It On The Alcohol and Kevin singing it. They said it should have sung it on a competition and Kevin said it was just alright. Tyler said he was stoned for most of the ranking. Kevin asked Korey if he ahd seen the ranking. Korey said he saw the tweet asking for your favs. He said he had a problem with a lot ofTylers ranking but that’s just part of their friendship. They understand they are different. Kevin replied to Tyler’s tweet and got shit for it. Tyler said it shocked him that people genuinely thought he was wrong for his choices and it worries him. Korey said that is twitter in a nutshell. Kevin said that is Glee in a nutshell. Tyler asked if anything that he said was iconic that wasn’t iconic. Tyler said Don’t Stop changed pop culture forever. Kevin said he didn’t know if Beautiful needed to be a the top of the list. It’s a nice cover but it’s not like the rest on the list. Jenna doesn’t think Hate On Me is top top. Tyler said he has some taste. Also the majority of songs are not in this tier list. There was a warblers song that was omitted and people were pissed. Jenna said maybe Raise Your Glass. Kevin said isn’t it weird the show came out 13 years ago and people are still heated about it.
Tyler asked when is the gleeboot. Korey said he would watch the premiere and Tyler said he absolutely would watch it. Jenna said what would you want from a gleeboot. They said fun. Jenna asked would you want to see the old cast. Someone said what would you be a parents, teachers. Tyler said new class. Korey said one of you can be the teacher. Only one of you, I only have one picture in my hands. Korey did a America’s Next Top Model bit. Tyler said a full new cast and a new cast. Kevin said he pitched that idea to Ryan when they last talked to him. Kevin and Jenna said he’s thinking about it.
Jenna said what themed episode would they want to see like Madonna or Gaga would they want to see right now? Tyler said now that glee is officially over and we are in the dark ages of music not getting covered on tv. There are songs that would have been covered on glee that escaped glee’s wrath. Tyler said Billie Eilish would be big. Ryan said Taylor Swift. Lizzo would probably have been on the show. Kevin said he would watch the premiere with Korey. Jenna said she would have a viewing party. Tyler asked them would they go back if they were asked. Jenna said it depends not he context. Tyler said they need a cameo from everyone .Kevin said he can’t come back because he would never be allowed to even audition for that role today. Tyler and Korey said he could comeback but like on zoom for the waist up.
Tyler said what would glee have done with Covid. Jenna said it makes her think of the lights out episode where the school loses power.
Jenna said they have all Korey and Tylers notes and will pass them to Ryan.
Tyler said he hoped no one ever took offense to his rankings of anything.
Tyler said every comment on the video he did with Kevin and Jenna on his YouTube channel was like wow they really blacked it out.
Kevin said just because he can’t remember a storyline or critique doesn’t mean he doesn’t like the show. He equated it to remembering a test you took in 9th grade. It all melds together and it’s hard to pull out memories of individual moments.
Kevin said leave Tyler alone. His opinions might be flawed but he is a good person.

When Felicity got back to the hotel from her interview with Ethan, all she could remember was how things ended for the two of them.
Kakatanggap lang ni Felicity sa bago niyang trabaho sa Pearllas noon. Sabay silang nag-apply ni Ethan dahil 'yon ang dream job and company niya. Sobrang tuwa ni Felicity sa balitang natanggap niya.
"Babe, guess what!" Felicity sounded so stoked that she didn't notice Ethan's blank face. "Natanggap ako sa Pearllas!"
As she squealed, she noticed how Ethan didn't match her excitement. "Hey, babe. What's wrong?"
"Hindi ako natanggap sa Pearllas," his monotonous tone reflected his long face. But he tried to sound happy. "But I'm happy for you, babe."
"You can try again, right? Maybe in another season, they'll accept you. I'll put in a good word for you," Felicity tried to cheer him up.
Even if Felicity did everything to secure Ethan, it did not stop his insecurities to rise up in his heart. Slowly, those insecurities ate up their love. And before they know it, it has destroyed their precious relationship.
"Sabihin mo nga sa akin, Ethan! Gusto mo lang akong matanggal sa trabaho eh!" sigaw ni Felicity sa kanya.
Ethan looked at her with disbelief. "Really, Felicity? Is that what you think of me?"

"Ethan, I have a job! I can't go wherever you go." She sighed exasperatedly.
"But Felicity, this is my job. I can't stay whenever you don't want to leave."
Iyong kanina mahigpit na hawak ni Felicity sa kamay niya ay unti-unting lumuluwag, tila handa na itong bitawan at pakawalan ang hawak niyang kamay.
"Maybe it's time for you to leave and let me stay behind," Felicity suggested. He knows she was implying another thing as well.
Just the idea of leaving her behind made him sick. He notoriously shook his head. "No, I'm not leaving you behind."
Felicity held his face as her tears started to fall. "We both know you have to."
Felicity finds herself in tears as she remembered how things ended with her and Ethan. She may have grown professionally but it has been the worst days of her life. The only reason why she pushed herself to work is because it made her forget about Ethan. But this work that her boss gave her made her revisit every single painful memory she had with Ethan.

good evening nsr community, i went through the ama from today and came back with an armful or two of lore. there’s a bunch more than last time, and i included bbj as well as the npcs. cozy up, check under the cut, and prepare for a long read. enjoy!
today's ama featured wan hazmer and daim dziauddin again, as well as concept artist ellie and animator ben fong.
BUNK BED JUNCTION (FT. DK WEST)
- mayday and zuke live in the sewers because they're an underground band. it's a pun
- there were originally two variations of bbj leaving the sewers - one with mayday hi-fiving gigi (which had a 95% chance of happening), and one with zuke awkwardly fumbling and attempting to hi-five gigi (which had a 5% chance)
- one of the inspirations for mayday and zuke were the two main characters of samurai champloo (zuke was jin, mayday was mugen)
- someone asked about if the rest of the cast had their own shadow puppets. ben suggested a lemur for mayday, while ellie suggested a zucchini for zuke. she may have been joking.
- mayday's guitar solos were done by different people, but zuke's drum solos were all done by bruno valverde.
- zuke was the one who implemented the canister thing into mayday's guitar.
- someone asked who of the cast are the introverts and who are the extroverts. mayday is an extrovert, zuke is an introvert.
- the team does have a bit of lore for mayday and zuke and how they met, but they want to save it in case of a future project.
- mayday was inspired by both genevieve from company of thieves and the unbreakable kimmy schmidt.
- ben did the animation for mayday swinging the hammer in the workshop.
- haz recalls seeing some fanart of mayday being brought up as a rich girl. he doesn't remember the artist, but he does like the idea.
- the japanese version has zuke say he has a phd rather than a master's degree. this is apparently a mistake.
- the pattern on zuke's pants was inspired by jolyne cujoh and prosciutto from jojo's bizarre adventure.
- zuke's toilet seat collection came partially from a story from one of the environmental artists where one of their high school friends pranked another friend with a toilet seat.
- zuke does a lot of reading and is naturally inquisitive about things like tech and mechanics.
- dk west's shadow puppet abilities might run in the family, and zuke may have it as well.
- both zuke and dk west are connected by percussion (zuke with the drums, west with the hand claps)
- zuke and west weren't always designed to be related -- west was originally designed as "some guy who comes and goes," but was made into zuke's brother later on in production
- dk west is an extrovert.
DJ SUBATOMIC SUPERNOVA
- djss' dj name is obviously a stage name, but the team didn't have a real name for him in the script or anything.
- haz joked that his name is bob salad. that's not canon but from what i seen the chat loved it lol
- haz brings up the symbolism of djss spinning the planets around himself and how it represents that he thinks of himself as the center of the universe.
- ellie helped design the districts, and something she noted about dj's is that it's supposed to look the "slummiest" because he cares more about himself and less about things like blackouts.
- dj had some lines cut from his boss fight. those lines? mini lectures towards bbj during every phase. they were cut because the team felt like they were too much for the game, but they want to share them one day.
- daim says that dj could be either introverted or extroverted becuase of how much time he spends alone looking at the stars.
- dj was never planned to have an approach segment, but funk fiction wasn't told that, so he made him an approach theme anyway.
- dodo ice pops are traffic light flavoured, which is a popular ice cream in malaysia. it's strawberry, pineapple, and lime flavored.
SAYU AND THE NERD SQUAD
- three of sayu's creators were based on staff members at metronomik. remi (voiced by ben) was based on one of the programmers and one of the environmental artists (ellie calls him "the lovechild of two dudes"), tila was based on (and voiced by) ellie herself, and dodo was based on danish mak (another environmental artist who also voices him).
- sofa wasn't based on anyone in particular, he was more of a "general otaku guy" according to ellie (though haz joked that ellie could just say he was based on him).
- dodo is daim's favorite npc -- he also designed him!
- sayu was ellie's favorite character to design. she loves drawing mermaids.
- the progression in sayu's fight where you go deeper into the "ocean" is supposed to be a metaphor for going deeper into the internet/the deep web.
- ellie suggested that if sayu were to have a shadow puppet, it would be a cat.
- as for the introvert/extrovert debate, daim says sayu is technically comprised of 4 introverts. sayu herself is the extrovert mask they wear.
- sayu's ahoge is a submarine periscope. remi looks through it in one of the cutscenes.
- sayu's not a mech. she's remotely controlled by her creators from their computer room.
- the backstory between remi and tila is meant to show that artists can come from all sorts of backgrounds.
YINU AND MAMA
- yinu's promotional video was one of the first ones done before they brought in lzbros, so it originally looked different from how it looks in the game now.
- yinu's mother's eyes are yellow because she spends most of the fight focusing on yinu (who is mainly yellow). when her eyes go blank white, it represents that she's momentarily forgotten what she loves the most. when her eyes become yellow again after the fight, it means she's remembered yinu and her piano playing.
- the way ellie describes natura is that yinu is a plant and her mother is very protective of her, and one of the distinctive features is that there are a lot of domes with plants inside, particularly on the roofs of the houses.
- yinu's commercial was not intended to reference little miss fortune. the commercial was shown in 2018, while LMF came out a year later.
- yinu's mom turning into a giant tree monster isn't exclusive to her just being angry at bbj. apparently the whole plant thing runs in the yinu family.

- 1010's concept as a boy band had been around since before the team started production, but they were the last to be fully designed -- their designs weren't finalized until way later on.
- 1010 were ellie’s least favorite characters to design. she doesn't like drawing guys OR robots.
- 1010's early designs had them wearing tuxedos.
- 1010 do have memories.
- the inspiration for the butt plates came from one of ben's gundam figures from his collection in the metronomik office. thanks ben.
- ellie's favorite member of 1010 is purl-hew/blue.
- eloni/green is apparently the rapper of the group.
- the jingle you hear from the carousel in metro division is a carnival remix of 1010's boss theme.
- the numbers underneath 1010's names on the autographs are completely random.
NEON J
- neon j is a dancer. daim explains that in addition to being in the navy, dance has always been his true passion.
- in the final phase of 1010's fight, he was originally supposed to control the dance moves of the factory as he was fighting you, but it was cut due to limited resources.
- daim designed neon j based on ellie's designs for 1010.
- neon j's factory's dance moves were all animated by ben -- no mocap needed. the factory was also his favorite thing to animate.
- daim says that "neon j is to tatiana as soundwave is to megatron." basically he is extremely loyal to tatiana.
- neon j was one of earliest members of nsr.
- neon j seeing 1010 as his sons wasn't planned, but daim loves the concept so much that he could see it being canon.
- daim says neon j's brain is "probably" still inside the monitor head. somehow.
- neon j is an extrovert.
- haz likes the idea of neon j being blind and using his sonar to "see" things. ben joked that the screen worked like giant glasses.
- neon j originally had red dots that would pop up on his face when the sonar moved by that were meant to represent acne, and that would've been the reason why he's mostly behind the scenes.
EVE
- in mayday's side of the room when eve splits up bbj, the hands all over the walls are meant to be there to show how eve is angrier at mayday than she is at zuke.
- the time signature for the music in mayday's room during the fight is 6/8, whereas in zuke's room it's 4/4.
- ellie suggested a platypus shadow puppet for eve. the rest of the team seems to be on board.
- eve was ben's least favorite character to animate. he said he struggled with animating her dance moves because it was something he'd never done before, and he still doesn't think he did a good enough job.
- eve was born with her split skin tone.
- apparently eve's near scrapping had something to do with costs. haz was the one who stopped it from happening.

NPCS/OTHER CHARACTERS
- part of tatiana's symbolism is how she used to be a rock star, but her flame/passion slowly burned away, and now she's just a rock, referencing how she was literally on fire as the rock star kul fyra, but now looks burnt out.
- daim thinks kliff is older than tatiana, probably over 50.
- in addition to the neon j dance lore mentioned above, kayane rambling about neon j after the 1010 fight was supposed to be connected to her watching neon j dance.
- ben and haz's favorite npc is mia, and ellie's is dj zam.
- dj zam was inspired by one of ellie's college friends, who she says "makes you feel comfortable to be around".
- ellie thinks dj zam's neck tattoo says "i love mom".
- amal the unicorn was inspired by lady amalthea from the 80's animated film "the last unicorn". he was originally written to be a real talking unicorn, but it was changed partially because his horn wasn't in the right spot on his head.
- zed was based on game designer dzaid and has hyperacusis, a hearing disorder that makes it difficult to deal with everyday sounds.
- yiruk's name is an anagram of kiryu, the protagonist of the yakuza games.
- chef sunshine's design is a homage to julia child. she originally had a bigger physique, but was changed to match lylia's bubbly performance.

Lev anon again! One of my favorite bands r disbanding rlly soon :( But then I thought about more questions related to bands so!
If all the characters (separated into night crew and day crew) formed their own bands, what role would each character take? And what type of band would they be?
Hey hey, Lev Anon, long time no see! Sorry to hear a band you like is splitting up. Hopefully it wasn't over anything bad.
And this question is hilarious to think about. SO, on their world they had some instruments for music that were similar and some that were very out there. But, for this I'll assume everyone can play at least one from Earth or takes up one... Sorry it's long!
Night Crew - Band Name: "Filthy Acts at a Reasonable Price" (I only chose this name because it's a funny to me. It's a Jojo characters stand name change for English release).
Singer: Zilla. She's one of the biggest music lovers and can actually hit a lot of notes if given the chance. Singing used to be one of her passions when she was little.
Drummer: Lynette, funny enough, she actually played drums while Wicks played Guitar and Charletta did vocals when they were younger. They joked about starting their own band but never pursued it. And her videogame love appeared.
Bass Guitar: Drake. I can see him playing this role well, however, not really doing any singing as his voice could never handle the same vocal range as any of the others. Though he can infuse his animosity with his voice to make it louder/threatening, or with his vampire beast form, it still wouldn't hold up.
Rhythm Guitarist: Alexander. I honestly don't know how quick he'd pick up Guitar, he has a good rhythm but he's seriously never played an instrument in his life. However, I'm sure Lev could teach him. He also doesn't have a bad singing voice, he can stay on pitch but it's nothing to write home about.
Lead Guitarist: Lev. He's actually dabbled in a few Earth instruments, guitar being one of them, Violin, Cello, and Sax. He does have a love for string instruments but also enjoys the melody of a good sax. He also has a good control of his vocal range, so he could match Zilla's pitches.
Keyboard: Claudia, I can just imagine her going ham on those keys and somehow still fitting well enough to the beat. Plus giving her the option to change the sound of how each key is CRUSED. She'd be having way too much fun and I'd imagine Drake and or Lynette constantly trying to keep her in line with it.
Morning Crew - Band Name: "Worse Company" (For the same reason as above I chose this one).
Singer: Oh oh, Beatrice. She has a magnificent singing voice, especially when in tandem with one of her abilities.
Drummer: Elliot, he used to have to keep on rhythm a lot for skin drums back with his old "tribe" so I'd imagine him pick up on it, but it'd take a little while with the sticks.
Bass Guitar: Oddly enough, June, he'd like to feel the reverberations of string instruments, he actually has his own harp at home for this reason. He'd probably love being able to hold it close to himself to and feel it.
Lead Guitarist: Zane, though he's never really played an instrument before I can imagine him taking a liking to the role. Whether he'd be good at it or not is up in the air. I'd like to say he could learn but it'd take him a while as he lacks rhythm with music.
Keyboard: Tila, I actually immediately thought of the piano playing cat, even though she would take her job very seriously as she always does. She isn't one to mess around unlike Claudia. However, she would be fascinated by the many functions and sounds it has, and probably become overwhelmingly distracted by that.
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS QUESTION, I had a lot of fun thinking about this. Also I didn't not include Viola since she is part of the mid-shift crew. BUT I can see her being a roadie for both and number one fan in support.

No offense, but why did you make Sayu Crew's home lives... bad?
To give them a reason why they would be able to work for NSR at such a young age.
If they stick with their family, they could still work for NSR, but instead of having creative liberty they would be under scrutiny from their families. They also wouldn't be living with each other as they would be living with their own family. Plus their families would basically be using them for their money (especially Tila and Sofa's families. Dodo and Remi's families can be decent depending on the AU, but Sofa and Tila's are not).
With a bad family life and connection to Eve (and by extension NSR) through Remi, the Crew were able to become emancipated, having Eve as a type of guardian to make sure they are safe and can get by until legal adulthood. This also allows for them to have complete control of their money and use of Sayu (with some exceptions like having a marketing/sensitivity check group to keep the Crew from accidentally having Sayu say or do something bad when Sayu was not sentient).
So yeah, it was really just to give a reason why a bunch of young teens would have been brought onto NSR in the first place. Like most normal families would either not let their kids become megastars, or would most likely use their kids' success and money for the family instead of saving it for the kid when they become and adult (for some reason I don't see Vinyl City having a Coogan Law or anything similar to it at the moment to protect young actors/stars).
Plus, I want NSR to be seen as a safe haven if you could get to work there. These kids (Yinu included) were willing to fight a revolution and get hurt for a job. I doubt that they would be caring about money all that much if they came from super loving families (if anything, their families would have told them to step down or to quit if they truly cared and weren't blinded by personal reasons). So the Sayu's Crew having NSR as family and a safe place, while not having family to turn back to (that isn't Eve) means they would stay and fight for NSR.
Yinu is a similar way. Her tragedy makes her more loyal to NSR because it keeps her happy with piano and her mother happy that Yinu is happy, safe, and well provided for. Even Neon J, who had a pretty shitty life, is extremely loyal to NSR because it gave him the break he has always wanted since childhood (even though he has a problem with staying too loyal and would have been loyal to a shitty company that just gave him the bare minimum).
Like, DJSS had a pretty good life other than some shitty people they've met. If they were one of the later artists to fight I kinda feel like he would have just not fought. It wouldn't have been worth it and he isn't that loyal to NSR.
Eve on the other hand also had a decent childhood, but her perception on things makes it seem worse to her. Like there were definitely some bad situations like isolation from peers and her parents going through a divorce, but for the most part it was pretty tame compared to the histories of the other Charters. She is loyal to NSR because it is an outlet, and escape, it fills her with purpose. It also has people she is loyal to. She is not loyal because it is a safe haven or provides for her. She would be able to make it as an artist or something if she quit. The reason she is loyal is because of the people that give her purpose and not the company itself and what it has to offer the megastars.
The Sayu Crew needed some reason to join NSR and then another reason to stay loyal to NSR, even when it wasn't the best company for the people (it was always a good company for the megastars). It also ties into Sayu, who is an ideal version of the Crew. Happy, full of love and loved by all. Bubbly and cute, talkative and can make friends easily. It's the opposite of how their everyday lives were, and so they stay with NSR to play out a fantasy of being like Sayu (that is to say, this is what it was like before the revolution and Sayu gaining sentience later on down the line).
But, if you want a really short answer. I thought it would be ineresting to give them family trauma to bond over and just to show people the different kinds of familial abuse there are (like Tila's family being very homophobic and ableist, Sofa and Dodo's family meaning to do good but in a horrible way that hurts their kids instead, and Remi who is in a complicated family situation because of his father remarrying and him being neglected at times).

Knightkiller: Anakin and Obi-Wan’s First Adventure
Chapter 13: The Old Ladies

“Master?”
“Yes, Anakin?”
“Someone helped me escape. Fenn Gallowk. She -- er -- he’s a slave; I promised him we'd free him.”
“Indeed, we owe him a great deal.”
“But his master is Senator Dinv of Raktu!”
“Senator?”
“Yes!”
“Hey!” interrupts Zlinky. “That's the name of the guy sponsoring this tournament!”
“Aha! Good job, Padawans. It seems the situation isn't as complicated as I thought.”
The Jedi turn a corner and almost run into twenty murder-droids. They look like Jane, but without any of her rust and broken parts.
“You were saying?” says Zlinky.
“Other way, other way,” says Tila.
The heroes turn around as the robots begin to march toward them, but a crowd of guards and patrons blocks their return.
In response, Tila turns to the wall and body slams into it, cracking the structure. The force of her movement shakes the whole hallway, which makes all of the non-Jedi fall on their butts.
Anakin laughs. “Your master is so cool, Zlinky!”
“I know!”
Well I'm cool, too. -- Did I really just think that? thinks Obi-Wan.
Tila throws herself through the hole in the wall and pulls the smaller Jedi and Jane after her. They barge into a VIP lounge with soft pink lighting and cute little snacks on fancy tables. Most of the wealthy visitors are in the arena watching the game, but the lounge still hosts a few dozen spectators taking breaks, family members who have no taste for violence, a couple secret meetings, and other odd stragglers who clutch their pearls at the sight of the filthy intruders.
Anakin stares at the food and feels his stomach rumble.
Jedi control their hunger. This is an obvious temptation. Any other Jedi my age would resist it.
He stares ahead of him, hardening his expression.
Tila turns her head with an abrupt motion.
“Glagret! I feel her presence. This way!”
The great Lollian bounds across the lounge to a black door, shedding fur in her wake. The others follow after her on their little legs. In this room no one is shooting at them; in fact, many are hiding their faces, afraid of being recognized.
The door withstands both Tila's body slam and Jane's barrage.
“Let me try,” says Zlinky. She draws her little screwdriver and swiftly picks the lock.
“Well done, Padawan,” says Tila.
“Thank you, Master!”
As their scrappy pursuers commence their own invasion of the VIP lounge, the Jedi and Jane hurry through the sturdy door and shut it behind them.
It is another pitch-black room. Only Zlinky, with her third eye, can see Knightkiller sitting upon a plain chair, her great face resting on her claws, a few of her legs crossed casually. Knightkiller moves one of her claws in a sideways motion.
“Padawans... Kill your masters.”
Zlinky ignites her lightsaber and swings it toward Tila. Tila quickly disarms her with her own weapon.
“I--I'm sorry!!” says the young girl.
“Resist, Padawan,” says the old lady.
“Yes, Master!”
Zlinky balls up her fists and regains control of her mind. Jane whirs her torso up and down, unsure if she should shoot someone. Zlinky senses her confusion and tells her no.
Obi-Wan feels Anakin's hands on his throat. He instinctively brings up his hands to pull them off, but he feels nothing there. The boy must be using the Force. In the darkness, it is impossible to tell the difference.
But almost as quickly as he feels the small fingers grab his neck, they are gone. He hears Anakin breathing heavily beside him. Obi-Wan puts an encouraging hand on Anakin’s non-dislocated shoulder.
“Great plan, Master Juna,” Obi-Wan says sarcastically. “We've fallen right into her clutches.”
“Hush, young one. Glagret. My old friend.” Tila holds her weapon up. “Turn on the lights, won't you? This darkness is perfectly ridiculous.”
Knightkiller snarls with a hair-raising clicking sound, like a cog in an old-fashioned word-processor, a sound that reminds Anakin distinctly of his mother. Obi-Wan feels him shudder. Soft yellow lights illuminate from the floor, casting shadows on their faces.
“Much better,” says Tila. She turns off her lightsaber and clips it onto her belt. Obi-Wan also takes his hand off his weapon. He observes Tila closely.
The Council sent me here precisely to prevent this scenario. They did not want Master Tila's former friendship with ex-Master Glagret to interfere with the mission. Tila is wise, but if the Council second-guessed her judgment... I may have to step in.
“Officious as always, Master Juna,” says Knightkiller.
“Yes, I haven't changed a bit, Master Glagret. I wish I could say the same for you.”
Knightkiller sits up. “I'm sorry I don't fit in your pretty little puzzle anymore.”
“This isn't about me.”
“No. It isn't. You weren't even there when it happened.”
“So…” says Tila, very gently. “That is what this is all about. I thought so…”
Everyone else besides Jane thinks, What are they talking about?
Jane thinks, ɪ ᴄᴏᴜʟᴅ ᴛᴀᴋᴇ ᴛʜɪꜱ ʙɪɢ ʟᴀᴅʏ ᴅᴏᴡɴ. ᴏɴᴇ ꜱʜᴏᴛ. ɪ ᴅᴏɴ’ᴛ ᴇᴠᴇɴ ɴᴇᴇᴅ ꜰᴜᴇʟ! ɪ’ᴍ ꜰɪɴᴇ!
“Of course it is. She is what everything is about. She was my daughter, and my sister. My life. She was all of it. You can't understand,” says Knightkiller.
“I can. I do. My first Padawan passed, too. I know that sorrow.”
“No. It's not the same. Your boy did not die as my girl died.”
By now most of the people hunting down the Jedi have moved on, either back to the match or to the VIP snack tables, since they successfully chased their prey right into Knightkiller's office. But the most obsessed and audacious remnants bang on the crime lord’s door.
A holo of the announcer appears above Knightkiller's armrest.
“My lady, Chahlee's slayer has come forth.”
“Send them into battle at once. And make it mandatory for ticketholders.” She shuts off the holo.
Almost immediately, the announcer’s voice floods the speakers again: “Ladies and gentlemen! The one who sniped the battle dome and poor old Chahlee has revealed herself -- Ash Laia of Farilin! Witness her in her first ever death-match against current champion Jwelth Moeite! See the unusual acid-blaster in action, the blaster which could do what Kenobi could not! This match is MANDATORY -- check-in at the doors in the next five minutes, or forfeit your tickets! No refunds!”
The mob at the door finally hurries back to the arena, which leaves the heroes with just one opponent.
“My boy--” begins Tila.
“Your boy died in peace. He had a fatal case of being human. The luckiest humans live barely a Lollian decade. He died of nothing.”
“And you think that makes it easier? Everything yours is to you, mine is to me. His time came when he was just ninety human years. But not a day goes by that I don't want him in this life with me again. Do not mock my grief; don't say it's less than yours.”
Knightkiller rips off part of the fabric of her armrest. The unleashed stuffing floats through the air like lazy flies. “It is less than mine. You say you grieve, but you remain with them, the stone-hearted, the liars. You wouldn't claim this pain if it didn't serve your ends.”
“I keep it silent. I don't feel the need to speak of it. But it's there, even if you can't see it. I know you believe me.”
“I don't understand you… How you can stay with them.”
“And I don't understand you -- you joined them! The very people, the very game that killed your girl!”
“Yes, but I told you… You cannot understand me.”
“My heart is open to you. I am listening.”
Knightkiller gazes ahead of her. Her six eyes seem focused on nothing, or on something known only to her.
“What happened on the Comet? Did death match gangsters find you? Capture you?” asks Tila.
“No.”
The room is silent. They hear the newest match roiling down the hall and the humans’ stomachs gurgling with hunger.
“I left,” says Knightkiller. “When Willo died in that first death match, I felt nothing. And not the controlled nothingness of the Order. Real nothingness, beyond my power, beyond my knowledge. A year passed. I couldn’t take it anymore. I was assigned a mission on the Comet. Out there in deep space, I faked an explosion. I killed whoever got in my way. I left.” She shifts her position. “Then I took over the whole game myself.”
Tila slowly shakes her silver head. “But why?”
Far away, the audience cheers.
“...The Order ... In the Order, you think the Order is the one way. Not just the best way. But the only way. But that's not true... This game has a power beyond what the Order can provide. Glory. Money. Fun.”
“Fun.”
“Yes... Willo died for fun,” says Knightkiller, without a hint of emotion.
“But she didn't want to. She didn't mean to,” says Tila, her own emotions also under check.
“The Force doesn't care what we want or mean to happen. All that matters is the flow of its power. And the Order does not follow in its current.”
“But the game does?”
“Yes. It does.”
“Just because this ghastly sport killed your Padawan does not make it the most powerful constant in the galaxy.”
“Doesn't it? ... As I said... she was everything. She is everything... Nothing matters, without her.”
“That’s not true.”
Knightkiller leans back in her chair. Her tone betrays a hint of almost gleeful satisfaction. “I told you. You can't understand.”
Zlinky, who knows Tila the best of any of them, can tell the Lollian is deeply frustrated. To Anakin and Obi-Wan, the wise woman seems as serene as always -- but her student can read the truth. Zlinky reaches out and puts her hand on her master’s arm, soothing her as she has soothed Jane, over and over. Tila, who even now had been considering a surprise attack with her lightsaber, reconsiders.
Tila thinks, Every time, the child is the wiser one. Every time.
“My friend,” says Tila, hesitating, “I am trying. I believe you. I accept your conclusions... It is not complicated.”
“You know me. I never was complicated.”
“Tell me what it is you want. Do you want to keep fighting?”
Knightkiller is silent.
“Do you want to keep playing the game?”
“The game is in my hand, now. I control it all -- the fans, the patrons. The players. The spirit of it. No tournament is half as big as mine... The game is mine.”
“Yes... But do you want it?”
Knightkiller is silent.
“Is it fun?”
“... It is mine.”
“Yes...The thing that killed your Padawan. It is yours. Yours to keep... or yours to kill.”
Obi-Wan feels a chill run down his spine at Tila’s words. To him, Knightkiller seems hopelessly twisted, destroyed by grief and lost to the dark side. But to Tila, she is none of those things. Only with caution, wisdom, and endless compassion can a Jedi see the truth. Only with eyes opened to the future, not hostage to the past, can a great master such as Tila foresee what must be done.
Yes, it matters how Glagret fell, how Knightkiller came to be where she is. But it matters more what she will do, now that she is here. From her position of such great evil, she can do good. She can be greater than her power. It is not too late. It is never too late.
“...Go,” says Knightkiller.
Tila turns around, opens the door, and strides across the lounge. The others follow in her huge footsteps.
“But how will we get off this station, Master?” asks Zlinky.
“I'm sure we will be provided for, at the docking bay,” answers Tila.
“Wait!” says Anakin, “There's someone we have to save -- a slave called Fenn Gallowk --”
“Anakin -- you know better than anyone we can't very well whisk a slave away from his master,” says Obi-Wan.
“Then --”
“We will save him. I assure you. Once we bring the Senator down.”
“But what if Fenn dies in a death match first?!”
“I don't think anyone will die in one, ever again.”
Anakin feels tears of frustration well up in his eyes. Knightkiller made no such promise. And even if one was implied, Anakin doesn't trust her at all.

No Gem Roads: NSR (Part I) (updated)
If they were gems, NSR would be:
DJ Subatomic Supernova: Tektite or Galaxite
Tektites/ Galaxites aren’t mentioned or seen in SU, but I headcanon they could be astrology experts tasked with studying new planets to colonize, trace interstellar routes, and they operate widely in astronomy and/or other scientific fields
Tektites / Galaxites might as well be the Peridots’ superiors, but they generally feel smarter than everyone (and they won’t make you forget it).
Tektite come in black, green, brown or gray. DJ SS main color theme is blue, but the expanse of outer space technically is a black shade.
Tektite and Galaxite have speckles of shiny or white on the surface that look like stars, similarly to DJ SS’s orb head.
Tektite is a gem formed by natural glass formed from terrestrial debris ejected during meteorite impacts. If you consider the cracks on his helmet, DJ SS head is basically contained in a glass orb (you can even see the broken empty orb as a decoration in-game).
Tektite is also a gem of very small size, being millimeters to centimeters big. Which is pretty fitting for Subatomic Supernova in personality and name.
Needless to say… DJ SS gem location would be his own head. Alludes to intelligence and being full of himself.
Sayu: Akoya Pearl
As a pearl, Sayu is mainly crafted for servitude, with the exception that she was specifically made to be an entertainer instead of a secretary or a footman. She sings and dance on request, often during Diamonds’ balls or for the higher caste of gems in Homeworld.
As an Akoya pearl, Sayu is a step higher than common pearls in the gem hierarchy. Her personality also deviates from the more refined, subservient gems, being more bubbly and cheerful for appeal. She’s also granted a bit more freedom than most pearls.
Because she’s so popular in Homeworld, she has managers (sayu’s team) that help get her performances done.
Akoya pearls are made in Japan and are seawater pearls. Which is pretty fitting for a mermaid themed after a Japanese idol singer.
Akoya pearls come in different colors, among them white, pink, blue and black. They fit with Sayu’s natural color scheme (plus black for her ‘rave’ form).
The gem is located on her chest. She’s mainly driven by emotions.
Remi: Phlogopite
Gem is related to limit-breaking. In a way, there’s no limit to Remi’s imagination when he draws (as its shown in game while designing Sayu progressively stronger forms).
In this AU he’s be more of a manager/helper/roadie. He keeps things organized, instructs Sayu on performances and help set the stage for her concerts.
It’s very likely he and the rest of the Sayu crew are under orders of higher caste gems. Their job is get the performance done but it’s the higher caste gems who commission Sayu’s performances and make demand.
His gem is located on his forehead and he’s the “head” of operation, but he cooperates with the rest of the crew.
Tila: Strawberry Quartz
Gem is said to fill heart with love, awaken to true love and improve trust. It alludes to Tila’s loving personality, a trait she shares with Sayu.
When in-game she’s Sayu’s voice actress, here she’s more of a singing teacher and writes her songs. Sometimes she’s the backup singer.
Her gem is located on her throat, alluding to her pretty voice and singing talent.
Dodo: Benitoite
Gem symbolizes absorption of new information and knowledge, increasing survival. A more ‘accessory’ kind of stone, since he often carries accessories with him (uses a sword). He’s the ‘choreographer’ for Sayu and tasked with teaching her the dance moves.
he’d also be Sayu’s bodyguard and is the only one who can summon a sword weapon.
Gem is located on the back of his right palm.
Sofa: Cotswold stone
Cotswold stone is a sedimentary yellow colored rock. The name derives from the region of the same name in England, which is a popular sightseeing area. Sofa in-game is Sayu’s video editor, which is a visually inclined work.
Sofa would aid in the presentations for Sayu’s concerts.
His gem is located on his navel. He’s quite jolly and friendly.
Yinu: Golden Coral / Golden Moonstone
Not as widely known as its red/pink versions, Golden Coral symbolizes success and prosperity. It’s a gemstone that gives the ‘talent’ necessary for winning a high position, which fits with Yinu’s ‘prodigy’ status.
Alluding to their fight in-game in which Yinu’s classical music is progressively taken over by her mother’s EDM, I headcanon that Golden corals are a step lower than the more commonly known, stronger Red/Pink corals and thus they answer to them. Luckily for Yinu, she has a much healthier daughter/mother relationship with her Red Coral.
As a Golden Moonstone, the gem helps deepen family ties, heal the wounds of the heart and the color is primarily whiteish-yellow, which fits with Yinu’s color scheme and hints her relationships with her parents.
Yinu’s gem is located over on her nose ( it would be the “middle leaf” of her facial marking).
Yinu’s Mother: Red coral
Sure, you won’t find red coral around a park like Natura since it’s, well… coral, but the red color and branch-like ramifications are very similar to Yinu’s mother’s sharpened hair during her game boss fight.
Red coral helps make work prosperous, guide people correctly (as a mother guides her children), grab a good match/passionate romance (hinting to her late husband) and coral is also used as an amulet for babies.

Got any headcannons on those 4 college kids who made Sayu?
Oh, boy, do I ever!
So, according to the wiki- Sayu’s team is made of Remi, Tila, Dodo, and Sofa, and you can find this out and their jobs on Sayu’s wiki page.
NOW ONTO THEM
Remi:
I kinda feel like Remi would have a sort of parallel situation to his name-sake from the Pixar movie Rat-a-Touille. That in the fact he genuinely wanted to create something and maybe he didn’t come from such an approving household.
In fact, Remi didn’t come from Vinyl City at all. He moved to the town after Sayu really gained some traction as an IP.
He also didn’t expect for Sayu to grow to be as big as she is now. She started off as wish fulfillment, something to help him cope his disapproving home-life. She’s not anymore, and he’s happy to talk about it.
Sayu did get him through the toughest time in his life, and in a way, that makes her just as real as he needed her to be.
The fact she could also reach out and touch others to really makes him happy to pursue his own hand-drawn waifu.
A genuine nerd, but a genuine nerd who is happy to reach out to others and drag them out of dark times in their lives.
A touchy-feely, sentimental dude who is happy about it.
Tila:
Tila used to be an online friend of Remi’s for the longest time. When Remi got to posting about Sayu: she wasn’t his first fan... But she was the one who got inspired by Sayu’s dialogue and design.
Tila started making comic-dub/ask videos for Sayu’s voice. The first ones weren’t really good- but the reception was ASTOUNDING.
She was super worried when Remi found her videos, but wound up being thrilled that he loved her voice so much!
Tila did grow up in Vinyl city, was planning to go to the University there.
Tila knows Sofa from Highschool, as well. She joined a club in her later years to learn about editing her own videos and he just... Kinda... Came in.
Tila may.... Have... A crush on him, but promised herself she wanted to work on her career before boyfriend.
Sofa:
Sofa’s always had a hard time talking to people. As a result it’s been hard for him to reach out in team projects. Besides, school projects aren’t a great depiction on what teamwork is like in the adult working world.
So when he joined the Video club at school he got to do what he did best: learn to code and critique and clip, and tighten videos. When Tila showed up with her thing it was only natural for him to throw his full force behind it.
He’s a very hard worker, and enjoyed working between Tila and Remi- who had wanted to thank him for all his hard work.
Sofa and Remi started chatting online, and it was Sofa who told Remi he’d work out a room situation if he moved to Vinyl city... Lo and behold he did.
Talks through his actions, but means well.
Dodo:
Dodo’s a bit... Strange out of the mix, because Dodo wasn’t actually an original part of their cast- but he knew who Sayu was, as she has about the same level of fame as Sakimichan does on Deviant Art.
Dodo is an animation model for the University the kids study at.
As a part of a project Remi had to use him as a model for a CGI project, and he was using Sayu. One thing spiralled into another and soon Dodo was hired full-time for Sayu’s mo-cap.
Dodo was also the one to convince the quartet to try out for NSR-- did NOT suspect they’d GET SIGNED ON???
Dodo regrets nothing~!
