Grogu likes Din’s mustache.
So I’m hella excited over the third season coming I just pray we get some more of Din’s feelings about his past, so I finally drew this little thing I’ve been thinking about for a while ;v;
I firmly believe wearing a helmet for your whole life is no reason to not style yourself like you want, so let Din have a mustache if he wants™!, but also I like to think he looks at himself on the mirror and can’t help but think of his dad :’) so he keeps the mustache.
Also pls let Din adopt Grogu and show him his face when they’re alone!!!!

I love that Din went from "what the heck is this little green thing?":
to "aw look at my little green son having a snack, isn't he adorable?":
THAT'S what I call character development

Beskar shine filled Luke’s immediate sightline, Din’s face ducked close. Past him, notable if only because the Force said look, see- because once more Luke felt a little too much heat, like he’d leaned over a fire- Luke caught a glimpse of Leia slowly pulling her face from Boba’s neck. He was also covering her eyes- laughing, as Leia tugged at his wrist, before letting go. Giving in, to replace the touch with his mouth to her brow, hand buried in her hair.
Luke hazily put pieces together, empty glass in front of Din on the low table making him abruptly grin. “You know, I’ll close my eyes- whenever. Whenever you need a moment.”
The burn in the Force was resolving- not Leia, not Boba, whose shields seemed purposefully shit- Din.
That overheated, delightful too-much- sun gold red blood sunrise on sand ferocious- was Din.
“I know,” he said.

Dinluke prompt 2
Grogu’s phys.Ed teacher realises that Grogu is fantastic at athletics. For a small bean he is amazing at the high jump. Also pretty good at the long jump and archery. He wonders whether his dad would consider applying for an athletic bursary at the gifted school in the neighbourhood. He hopes to speak to him at parent teacher night but he doesn’t show. He tries emailing..no response. He sends a note home with Grogu- no response. He calls the number after a month of fruitless efforts. Generic Voicemail.
Eventually he decides to walk Grogu home and try to catch his Dad then. He follows him to a caravan park that’s a bit run down. Grogu says his Dad will be home soon. They arrive at “home”. It’s a luxury Winnebago that looks like it belonged to a celebrity. There’s a garden of lush pot plants, a very excited neighbour (Ms Peli makes great home made PB and J sandwiches and scones), a top of the line portable barbecue/pizza oven. It’s all a little out of place. Enter Grogu’s Dad who Luke hears before he arrives. There’s a thrum of a top end ute’s engine and a very tired looking 40-something year old. He’s yelling an invitation to Peli for dinner tonight with the crew.
As Luke introduces himself he’s watching as his solid Dad picks up Grogu (who at 12 isn’t exactly tiny) and tickles and hugs his kid. Introductions are made, even though his Dad is perplexed by a coach visiting, he’s polite. Offers a seat under the canvas shade and Grogu runs inside to grab drinks for them. He seems happy that his Dad and coach are chatting..not worried like other kids would be.
Turns out Dad’s an aerospace mechanic working remotely doing shifts for a rocket launch in Europe. He and Grogu left Florida recently after the govt turned fascist. Had to sell their house and are looking to settle somewhere “safe”. Luke assumes that means for Grogu - who comes out with home made ginger beer. Luke asks Grogu’s pronouns- in case he missed something. His Dad is stern - interjects and says the kids business is none of Luke’s. Grogu looks perturbed. Luke apologises calmly and gets the feeling a critical juncture has arrived and he’s standing at a chasm. Then he recognises him…Din Djarin was the famous “Mando” in the wrestling entertainment world. He was a superstar who retired young and disappeared. About 12 years ago….
