New Writeblr Game
Writers: describe your WIPs in 2 sentences BUT here's the catch: describe it as someone who completely misunderstands your story/the concept/the point of the story.
Followers: try to guess which WIP they're describing.
ALTERNATE GAME:
Writers: describe your characters with 3-5 words. BUT here's the catch: describe them as someone who is OBSESSED with them (but not you) but completely misses the point of the character (for you, at least).
For example: maybe you have a character who's stoic but kindhearted and gentle. But the description might be cold, quiet, reserved, hard. They totally missed the point of the character being sweet and just... a bit reserved.
Followers: try to guess the character!
Alternate way to play:
Make it a poll! Have people vote on who they think it is or what WIP it is!

Is it maybe the coffee cake recipe that is in the mystery box?
That's just in a cook book in her house, she wrote it down years ago on a bit of card that she uses as a bookmark for recipes she wants to try out, it's been written and re-written many times, adjusted as its improved or been edited. It's not crazy hidden just tucked away in a specific place, that woman has a lot of cook books so you'd need luck, or a bit of time to find it.
She knows that one by heart these days, so hardly pulls the original card out, something she's got muscle memory for.
Not in the box tho!

ScarMione…Grang-ar 🏴☠️
I've started pairing Scar from FMA and Hermione from Harry Potter (romantic or Queerplatonic). I will explain. I promise. But first…I want your guesses as to how and why.
I'm tagging creative people I know have thoughts about both Harry potter and Fullmetal Alchemist, but really, I want chaos. Anyone respond with guesses.
There are bad answers.
And they are my favorite.

Okay so I was researching Public domain stuff for Among the Stacks and I came across the fact that there's entire books on Wikisource?! So now I'm reading a public domain book on my phone on my commute.
I will give you one paragraph and you can guess who they're talking about and if you get it right I'll link the book here 🙂
The house next door, The Larches, has recently been taken by a stranger. To Caroline's extreme annoyance, she has not been able to find out anything about him, except that he is a foreigner. The Intelligence Corps has proved a broken reed. Presumably the man has milk and vegetables and joints of meat and occasional whitings just like everybody else, but none of the people who make it their business to supply these things seem to have acquired any information. His name, apparently, is Mr. Porrott—a name which conveys an odd feeling of unreality. The one thing we do know about him is that he is interested in the growing of vegetable marrows.
But that is certainly not the sort of information that Caroline is after. She wants to know where he comes from, what he does, whether he is married, what his wife was, or is, like, whether he has children, what his mother's maiden name was—and so on. Somebody very like Caroline must have invented the questions on passports, I think.
"My dear Caroline," I said. '"There's no doubt at all about what the man's profession has been. He's a retired hairdresser. Look at that mustache of his."
Very easy to guess wouldnt you say?

For any carat with a netflix account, I have a fun game for you.
So the men on a mission episode 41 of the 2020 season has Seventeen in it and for some reason netflix probably does not have the rights to use actual seventeen songs. But from like the last 15 minutes they play some game where for some reason everytime a team gets it right they do a part of a seventeen song. So my fun game is just looking at the dance with shitty dubstep that netflix has put over it and guess from which song it is.
Very fun to do, also seeing lilili yabbay with dubstep music over it was one of the funniest things to me after I had two drinks.
