1) Luke did not appoint himself to be camp leader, nor did he ask for it. It was kind of thrust upon him after about a year of living at camp. His natural charisma, and the way he so easily slotted himself into the higher ranks of the Hermes cabin because he had been looking out for himself since he was nine made him a natural choice. It really just started out with kids going to him for problems, and then sword lessons before he became the official teacher. Eventually Dionysus gave him the designation, and at first Luke was like “no” but it was already given to him at that point and it stuck.

2) I have been writing Luke a long ass time, and I remember coming up with the headcanon that Luke journaled about his life months before Diary of Luke Castellan came into the public knowledge of the world. Luke continued to journal his life while at camp, and how hard it was for him and how he was dealing with the voice of Kronos who he didn’t know was Kronos at the time, and his nightmares. That journal is still hidden within the Hermes cabin

3) Going off the last one, Luke also has a journal about his time with Kronos, that gets more frantic as time goes on, and eventually shows just how much Luke was lied to, but that was a pawn and there was a point where most the decisions he made weren’t actually his anymore despite coming from him. This journal is somewhere on Mount Olympus.

4) Luke’s scar from Ladon never fully heals, and always looks like it was freshly given. When Percy notes that Luke looks too healthy it is because he has never seen Luke without the scar, or with the scar healed and he is looking at Luke using some very powerful mist manipulation to hide it thanks to Kronos. The scar actually becomes worse and festers and such when Kronos starts to take over Luke’s body.

5) Luke is unnaturally good at all sports. Its a Hermes thing where the god was also viewed as a god of athletes, and worshiped at sporting events and had statues outside places where sports were done. Luke is unnaturally fast, but most Hermes kids are. It is him being good at all other sports that throws people off. It got to a point where Luke was accused of cheating so much, that unless it was sword fighting or capture the flag Luke would not participate unless it was purely for fun.

6) Any weapon that Luke has ever used that isn’t made of Celestial bronze, breaks. Luke has of course broken his fair share of celestial bronze swords but those take a while. If Luke is using a non-celestial bronze weapons in a real sense it will break upon first usage of him actually trying to fight with it.

7) He has always wanted to run marathons and super-marathons. But he likely never will because it would probably be cheating. Doesn’t stop him from wanting to do it though.

8) When Luke was still in school one of the kids took to calling him Dodger because of Oliver and Company and the musical Oliver, and the fact that Luke seemingly always had stuff he wasn’t supposed to have in school, but the teachers could never keep it away from him because somehow, through stealing, Luke always got it back.

9) He cracks his knuckles and bones in his body all the time. It probably annoys anyone who is close to him.

10) The shoes Luke gives to Percy he enchanted himself, with no help. It took alot of studying but he was a natural with magic of the ancient times, see how he is with Greek Fire if you don’t believe me, and thus he did that on his own. With enough time he could probably figure out how to make his own flying shoes from scratch.

ACT 1, SCENE 2: blue lock headcanons

nagi found out amazon product testers were a real thing, and he had never been more happy in his entire life. if he wasn't training to become a professional football player, that would have been his dream job.

sae became a victim of the cat distribution system the moment he moved to spain. he left his window open once, and he came back to a whole secret society of strays on his fire escape.

aryu used to watch his mother do her makeup in the bathroom every morning. after she left for work, he would use her hair curlers and nail polish to bedazzle himself. if you ever ask him to do your makeup, he would tilt your chin up with one hand and ever so gently swipe on your lipstick for you.

kaiser is a whore for attention, even if it is bad attention. if you're not listening to him during dinner, he would most definitely steal the food right off your plate whilst maintaining eye contact. gives you the most shit-eating grin once you catch him.

rin genuinely cannot function around the female species. sometimes his aunties make small talk during family gatherings, and he just sits awkwardly with his baby cousin in his arms. the baby almost always cries.

sae still uses his ipod from 2005. he doesn't have any interest in music, so he mostly uses it as a white noise filler during long flights. if you send him a song recommendation though, he will listen to it.

rin kept a diary as a teenager with some of the entries completely filled with angsty scribblings about sae. he definitely had an entire section somewhere dedicated to death and existentialism. the second half of his journal is reserved solely for you though. he sometimes doodles flowers in the margins.

raichi is chronically online. he would be the type to have an entire four-page argument with a stranger in the youtube comment section. sometimes you have to remind him that the outside world actually exists, and he needs to go outside and touch grass.

sae is secretly intrigued by artists. like how can you just transfer an image from your head onto paper? is it some sort of magic? he cannot wrap his mind around anything that isn't concrete and tangible. he sometimes walks through the streets of madrid just to spy on the old people painting the sea. if you made a drawing of him, he would internally malfunction.

isagi used to help his mother with knitting and sewing. he even learned how to crochet one summer but forgot all about it once he got into football. would not complain if you asked him to do laundry or iron clothes. he is (most of the time) very sweet and kind.

bachira does not have a sleep schedule. what is sleep? he only knows 24/7 hyperactivity and the demons under his bed. would wake you up at the crack of dawn just to go hang out in some random abandoned parking lot.

sae has to physically restrain himself whenever he does shoots for brand endorsements. he would definitely tell the truth if the product was low-quality while literally being on set for its commercial. this man does not lie. cannot model for the life of him. he lost his ability to smile a long time ago, and he feels viscerally ill every time a camera is shoved into his face. if you're there to accompany him though, he will straighten up and at least attempt to look enthusiastic.

rin is terrible at any sort of class that involves creative writing. however, he does enjoy reading haikus. it's the only form of poetry he can understand. definitely sends you one when he misses you.

reo is clueless whenever you tell him that you feel ugly in your outfit. like where is the ugliness? all he sees is the most stunning person in the world. definitely recommend taking him shopping. he would go into the fitting rooms with you and give you the most encouraging confidence boost you have ever felt.

sae has the strongest enamel in existence because he bites his popsicles right off the stick. rin tried to do that once and ended up getting brain freeze.

yukimiya is the type to go from 0 to 100 in less than a millisecond. if anyone says anything remotely negative about you, he will definitely make sure they do not live to see the light of day. he does all this with the most charming smile on his face too.

shidou has no table manners. he would be the messiest eater in existence. if the dining hall looks like a velociraptor just barraged through, you know shidou was there. he only uses a napkin because you told him to.

rin wears chelsea boots and women's clothing. he has a collection of trench coats in his closet, and they're one of the only things he's incredibly proud of. at least he beats sae when it comes to fashion sense.

ness would pack you lunch every day without you even asking for it. he also uses those glittery animal toothpicks and cuts your apples into hearts. his paper notes are little menacing though. usually it has your name written a thousand times in blood red ink.

sae would let you braid flowers into his hair, but he would wrinkle his nose in embarrassment if you ever took a picture of it. he tries to act nonchalant when you gush about how pretty he is because in his mind he looks incredibly stupid. will keep that photo by his bedside and look at it when he's lonely though.

isagi is incredibly clumsy. sometimes he will act like an egomaniac before falling right on his face. the world has an interesting way of humbling him. he does keep his mood swings in check when you're around though. your presence gives his mind inner peace.

otoya has color-coded folders for every girl he has dated. he keeps their names, likes, dislikes, and contacts all separately filed so he doesn't confuse them. however, on your night out, he got so caught up in talking to you, he forgot to even update your file. the date ended with him smiling like a damn fool. you're always the exception.

aiku is the type to just be casual about everything. he just got into a car accident while on call with you? that's okay because he got to hear your pretty voice on facetime. he took a tidal wave straight to the face while ogling you at the beach? that's no problem because he got a sneak-peek at your cute little bathing suit. this man literally has no sense of self-preservation when it comes to you.

bachira was the kid who tried to mix up weird concoctions at the school lunch table. now it translates into drinking both an energy drink and americano at once. you had to pull him away from the soda fountain because he kept trying to add every single drink combination possible into his red solo cup.

sae would blatantly stare at your ass and then tell you it was for research purposes. if you press further, he will pull up the statistics showing how buttock size correlates with athletic ability.

rin is obsessed with tea only because he saw his brother drink it at family dinners. he always sat up straight on the zabuton and sipped the bitter leaf juice as a way to impress the grown-ups. unfortunately for him, he developed a caffeine addiction in his late teens.

niko would be the tech-savvy person in your relationship. he doesn't believe in traditional flowers, so he codes you an entire HTML webpage with roses on the user interface. he also wholeheartedly believes that virtual pets are real pets.

shidou is an adrenaline junkie. he has six piercings, two of which are helix. he also snowboards during the winter and speeds on the highway for fun. (don't be like shidou, kids.)

sbg headcanons pt. 2!!

- aiden steals traffic cones, he has several in his room (tyler got stuck in one of those big round ones, tripped and almost rolled into traffic if it hadnt been for logan who threw himself in front of it. taylor was also in one and wanted a pic for her social media so she convinced tyler to put one on too, thats how it happened 😭)

- ben is the type to trade shirts if the girls are feeling uncomfortable, just imagine taylor in bens baggy ass shirt and ben is wearing some cute little crop top lmaooo hes to sweet

- tyler the type to sit in the weirdest places, perfectly good chair?? nah he’s sitting precariously on an open windowsill (yes he did fall out of it once and it was actually aiden who jumped out after him because he was closest)

- when ash was little she would bring home all kinds of animals, her parents would have to search her pockets everytime she came back in from outside and they’d find all kinds of frogs, harmless snakes, bugs, baby birds (she has raised several birds)

- aiden will not move until he’s chosen music for the drive, he once stepped on a nail but refused to drive to the hospital until his bluetooth connected in the car and everyone was yelling at him

- building onto the bird thing and ashlyn, she’s befriended a murder of crows and has a ton of weird little trinkets theyve brought her because she feeds them in return

Danganronpa - Nagito Komaeda - Headcanons 🥭

When his hair changed colors, he originally tried hair die to revert it back to its original color, but because of his luck it kind of got messed up in some places. (Choppy cut hair.)

He randomly makes himself laugh, even in a quiet classroom. Oh, and he won't be sharing the joke with anybody else either.

When he was a kid, his stuffed animal was a dinosaur.

He regularly runs into walls/doors, even if it's a place he's been countless times. For example, his school, his own home, etc.

Really enjoys journaling, and keeps his thoughts written down because he's forgetful sometimes. He definitely chews people out that annoyed him that day in the diary, but he won't tell them.

Was a kid who would flip people off when their backs were turned.

He will cry to ANYTHING even remotely emotional. Anything that even has a little bit of beauty to it will leave him in tears. (Ballets, songs, poems, books, movies, flowers, quotes that he'll never apply to his own life.)

Nagito has always been on the shorter side growing up, but recently had a growth spurt, so he's not very used to his height. Because of this, he falls a lot, and has an insane amount of difficulty finding his center of gravity. However, he's pretty oblivious to this fact, so he blames his clumsiness on his luck. (He's 5'11)

He doesn't eat as often as he should, but when he does, it's the weirdest food combination. He has certain foods he's liked since he was a child and hasn't yet found a reason to branch out into other foods. His food combinations would be like pickles on the same plate as goldfish and a jelly doughnut. None are weird on their own, but put together?

Unlike most people, he loves receiving socks for Christmas. He'd be extremely grateful to be gifted anything, but he loves fuzzy Christmas socks, or just weird socks with like avocados on them.

Alright, that pretty much concludes this post. These headcanons were just some random things I thought of, because I just joined this community yesterday, and I'm not expecting many commissions yet, so why not take initiative by putting myself out there! obviously she journals. and obviously its filled to the brim with stickers and her handwriting looks like if a horse was handed a pen. and clearly she narrates it like a sci fi movie and gives mundane things the most exciting names. but when she documents the alien visit she writes it like a regular diary :) maybe cause it sounds far fetched as it already is

couldnt have asked for a weirder weirdgirl. shes like if reigen was awesome. the female cast in the series isnt big so maybe high praise isnt too deserved here but i was always so happy to see how down to earth and real one wrote her like he sees her as character first girl second. basic criteria for a writer really but. yknow. it stands out. i love her flair and i love her autism sounds and i love her silly bangs and i hate her anime adapted highschool uniform but whatever

alright. this ones for the people. the diaries: irene's blessing vylad overview

in my rewrite/headcanons, vylad is not a Good person. he wants to be! but he isn't. he thinks he's evil because he's a shadow knight. because he came back wrong. in believing that this is what makes him inherently evil and Bad, he believes the same about every other shadow knight. he doesn't believe they can be good. he doesn't believe they can change. he believes the world should be rid of them, because he believes the world should be rid of himself.

i'm going to show a lot of his healing/character arc through his relationship to food and gardening

vylad forages the nether for the most lethal things it has to offer- warped fungi and its relatives, which shadow knights are basically allergic to in my rewrite. he makes himself ill tasting the plants that aren't meant for him, and with them, he tries to develop poisons that Stick. that kill.

he keeps a journal, in case one of them works. he hopes someone will pick up his work and do what needs to be done. his most effective poison, he used when trying to shoot zenix. on a human target, the poison was the least concerning thing about being shot, but he'd hoped that in the blood of a shadow knight, it might do some real damage. he didn't get to see if it did. he wallowed in guilt for weeks after shooting brendan, cursing himself for another evil deed.

(alright ok this part diverges quite a bit from canon i think, but i didn't want kiva locked up in a prison cell in the nether. it didn't make sense, and lowell already went through that so like, damn, that's just fucked up yknow?) then a young girl gets stuck on the wrong side of the portal. vylad is so thankful to have been the first to find her, and sets his mind on making sure she survives until he can get her out. mostly, that requires food and water. i imagine that if you go high enough, close to the roof of the nether's caverns, you can find water, drip-dripping down from places unknown.

vylad cuts the thick flesh of red and blue mushrooms for a new reason. its a good reason. he's allowed to do something good.

for a long time, he's built himself on the idea of getting rid of evil. of getting rid of things like him. for the first time, he does something good.

after a few days and the smell of sizzling mushrooms and gargantuan pork chops, vylad makes himself a plate to eat. this time, without the things that hurt him.

he used to join his mother in the garden when he was small. even though they could have had anyone else in the world do it for them, they got their own hands dirty and took care of the little plot themselves. vylad was never very good at it, but they didn't do it for sustenance or survival; they did it for the joy of doing it.

he considers trying to garden again. maybe he could enjoy the fruits of his own hard work. maybe he could try to put good into the world, instead of trying to weed out the bad.

after all, any plant can be considered a weed, if you aren't looking at it the right way.

top 10 Gary King headcanons I've had for so long I keep forgetting they only exist in my head:

Gary kept a journal/diary in secondary. He wrote song lyrics, quotes from school, things he wanted to remember. Its cover is bent because he’s stuffed it full of papers he and his friends scribbled on during class.

Gary stashed items like a squirrel. As in, cutting into his mattress to hide cigarettes (as well as other, more illegal substances). Gary learned how to sew for this purpose: he'd cut into and sew-shut pillows, stuffed toys, etc.

Gary used Compact Cassettes to record himself singing/playing musical ideas he didn't want to forget.

Gary never applied to university (I believe he meant it when he said “there was nothing we were going to miss about school”)

Back to the cassette tapes. I like to imagine that some of these music sessions were cathartic/vent. Sometimes in the form of lyrics/music he'd created, a lot of the times as covers of songs he really identified with. Given the emotional content, he hid these tapes very carefully.

Autism. ADHD. Autism and ADHD. He stims with the rings, he stims with the trench coat (WHOOSH), he stimmed by holding cigarettes in his fingers/mouth. Also, Sisters of Mercy is a special interest (maybe The Golden Mile, too!!)

Immediately after the accident, Gary disappeared off the face of the Earth for a while. Really, he was staying at his mothers and not leaving the house.

Back to the topic of sewing: Gary gave his trench coat hidden pockets. These were for back-ups of things he did not want to run out of, mainly money and pills. For secrecy's sake, these pockets were teeny-tiny. He also sewed them shut, knowing he could easily tear them open them with his teeth if need be.

The above habit developed after secondary, when Gary began to get smart about avoiding A) getting busted for having drugs on him B) having his stuff stolen

The hidden-pockets thing might serve as an in-universe explanation for how Gary got hold of the shoelaces he ties during the opening credits (since the opening scene clearly indicates that shoelaces are not allowed at the ward Gary's in, but the commentary says that the changing sequence happens in his room at the hospital)

I think he ends up using his little around his neck scoops notebook for lots of different things like of course notes interviews and articles but i imagine he also uses it kind of like as a journal / diary too as well as like planning stuff and also the joe biden negative ebergy manifestation thing (pic below) but with mikado

I think like his biggest interest / thing he could go on and on about BESIDES journalism is soda. he has some moments where he talks about it in the game like when he gets really excited abt the discontinued soda in the vending machines but like i think this guy knows way too much. collects old bottles bit doesnt tell anyone because he thinks its dorky. he loves trying the weirdest flavors he can find and he has a seperate notebook with his comprehensive soda reviews and rankings.

Based on the bit we do know about his food preferences in canon + a little bit of me projecting I do really think he has ARFID. This goes a little bit with the soda thing because like i think he probably doesnt drink anything besides soda and coffee. hajime is BEGGING HIM to please drink some water. I think he survives mostly on like chips and ramen. And of course he doesn’t want to eat whatever mikado makes because its mikado but i do think part of it is also mikado makes very fancy dishes a lot and i think they are Scary Foods. This ine is very like self indulgent LOL

He’s definetly the type to get mad, punch the wall, and then break his hand as a result. I just know he’s done it

This is more of a headcanon for an au nikei i roleplay with some friends but im includijg it because inreally like it. there are multiple other characters who can use magic in said rp and as a result of his experiances with Mikado, nikei is staunchly Anti-Magic. He’s afraid of it + it just makes him SO mad too. Like this extends from like magic powers to psychics to like slieght of hand magicians. Personally I don’t think Nikei has his liscence because I don’t think he’d be a particularly good driver. I think also if he does though he’s almost never allowed to drive when hes going out with other people because he gets the most insane road rage.

He tried to start a book club on the monocruise and it ended up with only three members himself iroha and yoruko. Iroha only wanted to talk about yaoi and the book club was dissolved before the first meeting finished because monocrow ushered yoruko and nikei out of the library for yelling at eachother (they had different interpertations of the books ending)

More Team Sky/Nightsky Headcanons! Warning for Nikey being a little bit of an ass for the stuff under the cut.

Nikey had to end the life of a close friend he held dear to his heart as they started to make plans to overthrow Nikey and take over Nightsky. Nikey found out right before the planned day of being overthrown, and had no choice but to take their life in order to save his own.

Winona and Nikey both have Pokémon that they rescued personally due to Nikeys actions. Winona rescued a sillicobra she found dying in the cold dessert sands, she took it in, nurtured it, and ended up adopting it. It ended up evolving into a Sandaconda which she always keeps with her, along with her Umbreon and Espeon. All three make a great pairing in case of sudden emergency rescues while Winona is out and about.

Nikey had rescued a Purrloin from certain death of falling off one of the sky islands after getting into a tussle with other wild Pokémon. After Nikey had dropped nearly everything to go rescue this Pokémon, on the flight back up to the sky island it’d fallen off of, Nikey noticed the poor kittens left eye had been scratched out and was causing it great pain. Nikey took the Pokémon to one of his personal Pokemon doctors out of sympathy, and ended up checking on it every day as it recovered. He ended up adopting the kitten and using it as his own pokemon. Anyone who questions him having a land Pokémon on his team gets docked pay.

The purrloin would often also have nightmares due to its traumatic experiences in its life, so this only boosted Nikey’s sympathy for it even more. This purrloin ended up becoming a representation of recovery for him, but he didn’t really take it to heart as much as he could have.

Winona and Mikey’s wedding ring both had a heart with wings engraved on the inner parts of them.

Winona and her colleague’s ship name is Teatimeshipping (I PROMISE the colleague will get a name soon.)

Winona had to hold a pretty much worldwide funeral for Nikey after everyone realized he was never coming back, and everyone accepted he probably had died. During this funeral, it is told the world was united once again under Winona. There wasn’t any bickering amongst the hundreds of thousands of people attending, everyone sat there and listened to Winona’s speech. All her woes and sorrows. Her regrets and mistakes. And everything she went through during the course of Nightsky. Half of the speech was almost entirely about her husband and how much she missed him, and now she’d never get the chance to fix things with him again, which she blamed herself for. The attendees sat in silence and listened until she got everything off of her chest, in which then, the world had begun to see a new light.

After Nightsky was disbanded and the smog was starting to be cleared, there were still some stragglers who didn’t want Nightsky to be disbanded. These stragglers started Neo Nightsky, who’s goals are pretty much more of the same as regular Nightsky’s, but they’re having more difficulties now that the world is finally mostly at peace.

World restoration efforts begin, but they would not be done for atleast an entire century, long after Winona is gone. She has to pass on her legacy to somebody, but I’m not quite sure who yet. Could she have adopted children? It’s very likely.

Winona got the opportunity to see Nikey’s office after he dissapeared and she just ended up sitting in there for hours silently crying, just looking at all that was left of him. Nikey ended up leaving his Purrloin behind, which had been roaming around the abandoned HQ. Winona ends up coming across the kitten and learns about its past with Nikey through a journal of sorts Nikey kept in his office. It wasn’t a diary, however he did have one back at his home. Which Winona couldn’t stand to go to, as she wouldn’t think she’d be able to pry herself away and leave.

Nikey’s purrloin ended up hanging around Winona for her entire visit. Her colleague ended up having to bring her out of the office after a few hours, Winona didn’t protest, but she did take awhile to actually leave, which she did in silence. As she was preparing to leave the island Nightsky’s HQ was on, she noticed the purrloin lurking about near her. She crouched down to its level and held out a hand to it, which it responded by skittering up to her and pressing its head into her palm, purring. Winona was overwhelmed by emotions, and ended up taking it home, along with the rest of Nikey’s Pokémon he had left behind. (Which does not include Rayquaza.)

Winona is the embodiment of the song When You’re Gone by The Cranberries, also Once More to See You by Mitski. Also I Bet on Losing Dogs by Mitski.

Also fun fact Nikey had a certain someone he was close with, and was one of the only people he trusted. Her name? Maddie. Maddie is the owner of an actually magic magic hat that she found when she was a child. Unbeknownst to her at the time, this hat would be the cause of her losing her friends, everyone she loved, and being taken in by her aunt, Why? Well, you see, this hat has the ability to summon any legendary Pokémon the wearer desires, except, the only person allowed to wear this hat is Maddie. As if anyone else touched the hat or steals it, they end up in a catatonic state.

Maddie cannot leave the hat behind anywhere, as it will always find her one way or another. As you can imagine this took a large toll on her as a person. One day, she heard about Nightsky, and about Nikey as well. She thought, “HMMMMMMM. Yeah I’ll try my luck with it, sounds like a fun time.” She ended up becoming the teams “magician” (though that’s only a cover for why she’s actually there.) and would often put on performances to boost the moods of Nightsky’s members, beloved by all. Nikey, knowing the magic hats true capabilities, ordered some of his own bodyguards to guard Maddie herself as well.

This ended up with them often spending time together when neither of them had to do anything else. And unfortunately for Maddie, she started to catch a little bit of a crush (a fucking massive one.). This ended up becoming a very unhealthy thing for her as she would do almost anything for him. (Which is what made her so trustworthy to him.). Nikey knew about the crush, it was pretty obvious to him, but he didn’t do anything to try and stop the crush. It was out of his hands either way, and he didn’t want to make Maddie feel bad for something she couldn’t control. What’s this? Is he developing a soft spot for her? Uh oh. Nikey didn’t end up developing any feelings for her back, but would often find himself playing with her own feelings for him. He hated himself for it, but it just became an unhealthy habit, unhealthy for both of them. Nikey ended up leaving before anything could escalate too much, but Maddie still has very complicated and unresolved feelings for him. (DISCLAIMER. They did not end up every doing anything sexual with eachother because NO. BAD.)

IT ENDS UP BEING A WHOLE THING AND GIANT MESS AFTER WINONA FINDS OUT ABOUT IT FROM MADDIE AND SHES LIKE “…??.??.?.?. Huh???” And it’s like she’s upset at first but then she remembers she sort of did the same thing with her colleague except it wasn’t the same thing at all, because they had genuinely fallen for eachother while Nikey was making questionable decisions and it’s just a whole thing.

Maybe Maddie, Winona, and her colleague get together in a polycule after a while. :) I love Maddie she is the woman ever

Luke at the time of the books is one of the oldest Hermes campers, as denoted by his counselor status, not mentioning he got that younger than most, but shh. Before Luke came along though, the Hermes cabin was true pandemonium, no one had their own things, peoples things were always being knicked, because there were no rules. If you weren’t claimed by Hermes, good luck.

So Luke began by laying some ground rules first and foremost was for Hermes Children specifically and it was “No stealing, unless you wanted him stealing from you.” And by this point Luke had very much proven you do not want him all up in your business.

The second rule he put in place was every camper got basic needs met, even if their weren’t enough bunk beds. Along with that he decided that even if a kid was claimed by Hermes that did not automatically give them right to one of the bunk beds. Meaning their were kids in the Hermes cabin who Hermes claimed who did not have a bed. It wouldn’t be an issue but gods didn’t always claim kids back then, and the Hermes cabin was not a Tardis, nor did it have unlimited bunk beds. But Luke always made sure they had a pillow, and sleeping bag.

At the end of summer, when the year rounders stayed, that was when bed arrangements were allowed to be changed. Granted some didn’t because by nature the Hermes cabin had a disproportionate amount of Year Rounders. But that is when they changed.

Needless to say Luke laid the groundwork for a much more manageable presence in the Hermes cabin while still retaining its wild nature with all the personality mixtures, but also making it seem like home. Luke was alot of things but he was good at making sure kids under his care felt like they belonged, part of that Hermes charm really.

Theory: MC’s Choice

Based on the short questline from the Jorvik Stables Open House with Sabine - boy did those get my gears turning. Squeeee is one of my headcanons actually becoming canon-

I’m sure you all have a general understanding of where I’m headed with this whole ‘choice’ idea - that is, in short, being a choice of light vs. dark, good vs. evil. What if- just what if- the MC was given that choice? What sparked me into thinking this could actually become canon (and not just my personal angsty OC dark rider headcanon) was that whole dialogue section with Sabine (along with a few other clues/hints). She was really pushing the MC to be defiant towards their Soul Rider friends - granted these small mischevious acts such as letting the Sunfield animals loose don’t exactly chalk up to world domination standards, but they are still inherently “evil”. Kinda draws on that ‘planting a seed of evil’ idea - a small start is still a start. Also, wtf was up with the description of the jacket Sabine gave us - “do you dare wear this in front of your Soul Rider friends?” I mean sure, that dark heart mark is on the back, but why would MC even accept it in the first place - much less, have a desire to be almost secretive about it (if we view the item descriptions as MC’s personal thoughts about said items)? That’s all fine and well, however that is one short scene out of an entire questline -  is it really that indicative of an MC that could go either way? However, this isn’t the only time we’ve gotten evidence towards this theory; I bulleted a few evidence points below with my personal thoughts about each, feel free to add your own ideas!

#1: Catherine’s Journal

- Specifically, the latter entries; reading over them, I noticed a certain trend towards the last few entries. Catherine began writing about having “dark thoughts” and seemed almost manic? when discussing the fact that others fear her (specifically in that case her Moon Sister and Eva; she describes knowing the look of fear “all too well”). Tying all of this to the MC and this theory, we know that both MC and Catherine posses(ed) extremely powerful magic - this magic not without its dangerous consequences when placed in the hands of teenagers. Could this ultimate power have been what drove Catherine almost ‘mad’ in a sense?

#2: Light and Dark (Black and White)

- Something I’ve noticed playing through the recent (past couple of years) quests is how stressed the ideas of “everyone possessing both light and dark” and “not everything in the world (motivations) is black and white” - Catherine specifically stressed those ideas for Justin’s sake in her diary, and referenced Thomas - who was pretty much predisposed to end up involved with Garnok like his father - in saying that he made the ‘right’ choice. This makes me think that potentially, the MC has the ability to be a ‘key’ for both sides; my final conclusion was this: MC is the final key needed for both the dark ceremony and the light ceremony - the dark ceremony being the key to Garnok’s prison, and the light ceremony being the only thing that can keep him imprisoned. This would also explain why Sands and Darko didn’t want to kill the MC in their encounters with them - as Darko said, he only wanted to capture MC. Essentially, the dark riders need as just as much as the soul riders do - this leads me to believe that Sabine was almost trying to recruit MC (or at least plant that seed) at the open house.  This could also explain why Catherine was so adamant with that whole “light and dark” idea - not only for her son’s sake, but for MC. MC has a choice of what cause they want to fight for - they truly do have the power to choose their own destiny.

As fun as it is to theorize and imagine our MC OCs being dark riders with tragic coming-to-evil stories, I don’t think this choice idea will necessarily work with the way the story and gameplay are currently set up. However, that’s not to say that we won’t possibly get a scene or two of the MC trying to make that choice or more of the dark riders trying to recruit them - it just won’t be truly our choice as players, as this would require the design of two completely opposite quest paths.

As always, I’d love to see your input; I’ve seen this idea swirling around ssoblr here and there, so thought I’d go ahead and give my own view/evidence on it.
